USA highlights persecution of Hindus in Pakistan, announces launch of International Religious Freedom Alliance

The United States Of America highlighted the plight of Hindus in Pakistan as it officially launched a 27-nation International Religious Freedom Alliance, which will try to protect and preserve religious freedom across the world. Prominent countries like Australia, Brazil, Israel, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Netherlands and Greece have joined this alliance, which is a consensus-based group that will soon meet and focus on the area of religious persecution.

Speaking in its official address, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said: “We condemn terrorists and violent extremists who target religious minorities, whether they are Yazidis in Iraq, Hindus in Pakistan, Christians in northeast Nigeria, or Muslims in Burma.” “We condemn blasphemy and apostasy laws that criminalise matters of the soul. We condemn the Chinese Communist Party’s hostility to all faiths. We know several of you courageously pushed back against Chinese pressure by agreeing to be part of this Alliance, and we thank you for that,” Pompeo added.

This comes in light after more than 100 families crossed the Attari-Wagah border and reached Amritsar on Monday. The government had introduced the Citizenship Amendment Act to speed up the process of such refugees living in India till the year 2014. This has faced a backlash from opposition political parties which have accused the Act of being unconstitutional in nature.

While the USA has condemned Pakistan and its Jihadis for the persecution of Hindus, the Ummah has categorically refused to believe the urgent need for human rights for Hindus in the Islamic state of Pakistan. The persecution of Hindus in Pakistan is widely known. Only recently, a Muslim had abducted a Hindu girl while her wedding was in progress and then proceeded to convert her to Islam and marry her.

India recently passed the Citizenship Amendment Act which gives fast-track citizenship to persecuted minorities of the three neighbouring Islamic states of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. After the passage of the Act, Muslim mobs went on a rampage, rioting and causing arson and violence throughout the country.

Islamists came out of the woodwork to claim that the Muslims were being discriminated against since CAA provided fast-track citizenship to only persecuted minorities of Islamic nations but not Muslims. Adding to that, Muslim leader Asadduddin Owaisi went as far as to demand proof that minorities were persecuted in Pakistan.

From 73% decline in security forces being killed to a booming economy: How J-K is recovering after abrogation of Article 370

The Home Ministry, on Wednesday, highlighted the progress in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of article 370 and 35A. G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Home briefed the Lok Sabha about the security situation, the economic impact as well as measures taken by the government to promote investment in the erstwhile state.

National Security

The MoS informed the House that,

1. There has been a 73% decline in incidents of security forces killed in J&K after the nullification of Article 370 in August. Around 22 security personnel lost their lives.

2. Detention orders were issued against 444 persons under J&K Public Safety Act since August 2019. Now 389 were still in detention presently.

3. While 32 terrorists were killed, 10 terrorists were arrested and 19 civilians have been killed in terrorist attacks or counter-terror operations.

The MoS stated that detention is continued or revoked based on a case-by-case review, keeping in touch with agencies and the ground situation. A response was given to PTI regarding the points raised in the Lok Sabha.

Economic Activity

1. During FY 2019-20 (till January 2020), 18.34 lakh MTs of fresh fruit (apples) have been dispatched. Around 15769.38 MTs of apples valued at Rs. 70.45 crores have been procured, directly from the growers in Kashmir valley through National Agriculture Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) for the first time.

2. The sericulture sector recorded production of 813 MTs of silk cocoon in the year 2019. During the 1st three quarters of FY 2019-20, handicrafts worth Rs. 688.26 crores were exported.

Aside from these facts, the government is extending the Market Intervention Schemes (MIS) till 31st March 2020 in the horticulture sector. Tourism has been pushed as 100 companies from Jammu and Kashmir participated in the Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) in Mumbai to attract prospective tourists to the union territory. The government also plans to have a three-day Global Investors’ Summit which is scheduled for April, to be held in the twin cities of Srinagar and Jammu.

The government justified the abrogation by stressing that both Article 370 and 35A restricted rights of the citizens as well as restricted their economic potential for the past 70 years. Therefore, it was necessary to remove it for the development of the region.

On August 5th, 2019, the Modi Government had moved to abrogate Article 370 and 35A from the constitution. Amidst stiff opposition, the government passed both moves in the Upper and the Lower Houses of the Parliament.

In his speech in the Lok Sabha today, PM Narendra Modi took several potshots at Rahul Gandhi. At one point, PM Modi hinted that Rahul Gandhi is a ‘tubelight’. During the course of his speech, Rahul Gandhi rose to make an intervention when the PM was speaking. The Prime Minister said, “I was speaking for the last 30-40 minutes but it took this long for the current to reach there. Many tubelight are like this.”

PM Modi’s humour and quick-witted sarcasm left the house tapping on the bench and splitting their sides with laughter. Amongst them was one Congress MP, Kodikunnil Suresh, who also couldn’t hide his laughter when PM Modi called Rahul Gandhi a tube light. The MP, who occupied the seat right next to the Wayanad MP burst into splits of laughter when Modi threw the ‘tube light’ pun at Rahul Gandhi.

In the video shared by news agency ANI, at around 1.19 minutes, K Suresh is seen giggling at the jibe meted out at his supremo.


Modi, who today took the house by storm with his impeccable comic timing and sarcasm, was quick to notice K Suresh and almost immediately mocked him for laughing at his boss. “Yeh Sureshji kyon has rahen hain ji?” (why is Sureshji laughing?) questioned Modi immediately drawing everyone’s attention towards the Congress MP. “There is certainly some secret”, said Modi, laughingly telling the MP that ‘one day even he will get the opportunity”..leaving the house to wonder what opportunity Modi was referring to.. to mock or be mocked at!

In the video of Modi’s full Lok Sabha speech shared below, Modi can be heard at around 24.25 minutes jeering Congress MP K Suresh.

Kodikunnil Suresh is a member of the sixteenth Lok Sabha representing Mavelikara Constituency in Kerala. He is six-time MP and is serving his seventh term in the Parliament. The former Minister of State in the Ministry of Labour is presently the working president of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee.

Suresh was in news recently when he had miffed the Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi by taking oath in Hindi as a member of the 17th Lok Sabha. Reportedly, Sonia had expressed displeasure with Kodikunnil then for delivering the oath in Hindi, as various states seek to oppose the Central government’s move to impose Hindi in different quarters.

After Kodikunnil went back to his seat following the oath, Sonia Gandhi reportedly asked him why he delivered oath in Hindi and not Malayalam. Following this, Sonia Gandhi had asked other MPs from Kerala to deliver the oath in Malayalam itself.

K Suresh is the same Congress MP who was in 2017 suspended from the Lok Sabha for five days for “highly unbecoming” conduct that “undermined the Chair’s dignity” along with 5 other Congress MPs. The then Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan in the suspension order stated that all the suspended members had torn official papers and thrown it towards the Chair, prompting members of the treasury benches to shout “shame, shame”.

Some of these members had picked up papers from the Lok Sabha Secretariat staffers’ table and had torn and thrown them, Mahajan said, adding that all this had happened despite her agreeing to a discussion on the issue.

Moreover, a year before this incident, police had registered a case against Congress MP Kodikunnil Suresh for allegedly trespassing into the house of a couple at Kanaka Nagar area in the city in connection with a property dispute.

In 2010, in fact, the Kerala High Court had annulled the election of Congress leader Kodikunnil Suresh from the reserved Mavelikkara Lok Sabha constituency for producing a fake scheduled caste certificate. Suresh, a five-time Lok Sabha member at the time, had defeated the CPI’s R.S. Anil Kumar by more than 45,000 votes the previous year. Kumar had later alleged that Suresh was a Cheramar Christian but had submitted a false certificate showing him as Cheramar Hindu, a scheduled caste.

Justice M. Sasidharan Nambiar had at the time criticised the returning officer for accepting the nomination without verifying if Suresh belonged to the scheduled caste.

Later, the Supreme Court had reversed the decision of the High Court. While challenging the HC order, K Suresh had contended that his parents had converted to Christianity due to abject poverty and he reconverted to Hinduism in 1978 after undergoing an expiatory ceremony.

Justice Patnaik, writing the 41-page judgement for the bench noted “the case of appellant is that in four earlier elections the voters of a constituency reserved for SC have elected him from the constituency and this conduct of the voters show that the members of the SC have accepted him back to the fold of his original caste namely, the Cheramar community.

“The fact that the appellant had been elected four times from the Adoor parliamentary constituency reserved for the SC is a very strong circumstance to establish that he has been accepted by the members of his caste after his reconversion to Hinduism.”

With the colourful past that Congress K Suresh has had, it is no surprise that he would burst out laughing when his leader, who has had an equally coloured past was being pasted by PM Modi for his abject silliness.

NGO linked to George Soros, who had declared war against ‘Nationalists’ and PM Modi, calls for people to join Shaheen Bagh protests

George Soros, one of the richest men in the world, had recently committed $1 billion towards fighting ‘nationalism’ across the world. Among his targets was Prime Minister Narendra Modi, apart from US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, his influence has been great in shaping political discourse in India even prior to the latest commitment he made. Now, an NGO linked to George Soros has called for people to join Shaheen Bagh protests, speaheaded by Islamists.

As such, George Soros is linked to a host of Indian intellectuals and his connections to Indian ‘civil society’ are numerous. One prominent ‘activist’ linked to George Soros is Harsh Mander, who was in the National Advisory Council that drafted the blatantly bigoted Communal Violence Bill. Harsh Mander is the Chairman of George Soros’ Open Society Foundation’s Human Rights Initiative Advisory Board.

Interestingly enough, Harsh Mander and his NGO Karwan-e-Mohabbat have been very active at the protests in Shaheen Bagh. Even more intriguingly, Harsh Mander spoke on the ‘importance of solidarity’ and “how we can practice civil-disobedience in today’s India”. Earlier, Harsh Mander had promised to register himself as a Muslim if the CAB was passed.

Harsh Mander has also spread great lies about the NRC in the past and the foreign tribunals in Assam. His NGO Centre for Equity Studies has also received funds from Christian Evangelical Organizations and he has openly batted for religious conversions in the past.

Karwan-e-Mohabbat also has been urging people to join the protests at Shaheen Bagh. There is some sort of ‘festival of unity‘ or jashn-e-ekta going on at the protests which the said NGO has urged people to attend. It is pertinent to mention here that these celebrations are on despite the death of an infant due to the zealotry of the protesters.

Such an attitude is not surprising given the fact that the mother of the dead infant herself is willing to ‘sacrifice’ her remaining two children as well for the fight against NRC. Harsh Mander with his organization ‘Karwaan-e-Mohabbat’ published a report on the violence at the Aligarh Muslim University that absolved the students of all sins and peddled numerous lies against the Uttar Pradesh Police. Later, of course, the entire report turned out to be a massive fraud.

Under such circumstances, it is natural to wonder whether George Soros is influencing the developments at Shaheen Bagh indirectly. The dubious NGO that had filed a complaint against the Rafale deal in France also had links to George Soros’ Open Society Foundations. Another NGO. the Human Rights Law Network (HRLN), that has received huge funds from OSF, is engaging in activism against sedition laws in India. HRLN also claims that it has been providing free legal aid to Rohingyas in India.

The progressive Jewish-American philanthropist has a reputation for interfering in the internal affairs of other countries through his network of NGOs. Viktor Orban’s Hungary and Vladimir Putin’s Russia have taken concrete steps directed towards curbing his influence in their internal matters.

It is also pertinent to remember here that Shaheen Bagh was masterminded by Sharjeel Imam, a Radical Muslim who eulogizes Muhammad Ali Jinnah and had urged Muslims to cut off North East India from the rest of the country by blocking the Chicken’s Neck. Slogans of ‘Jinnah Wali Azadi’ were raised by the protesters. George Soros had also met Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan last year in September, after US President Donald Trump attended Narendra Modi’s ‘Howdy Modi’ event in Houston, Texas.

NDTV’s Sreenivasan Jain demands proofs of slogans against Modi and Shah at Shaheen Bagh, Twitterati do the needful

Sreenivasan Jain, a senior journalist with NDTV and an ‘esteemed’ member of the left-liberal squad had recently, while interviewing Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, asked him to produce proof for his claim that children are being coached to shout anti-Modi and anti-Shah slogans in Shaheen Bagh, which has become the epi-centre of the anti-CAA protest by Islamists.

While the BJP leader was certain that there are umpteen number of proofs openly available on social media, the senior journalist, who is somehow allergic to facts, did not seem to be convinced.

However, Twitter promptly did the needful and reverted with videos which showed children spewing venom against PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah at Shaheen Bagh, exactly what BJP leader Manoj Tiwari claimed in his interview with Jain.

In a video shared by one of the Twitter users, a small girl-child sheathed in a black dupatta is heard saying that unless Modi doesn’t take back CAA and NRC they will not move from here. She says that “even if Modi breaks our head we will not budge”. On being asked about the problems related to NRC and CAA the girl-child says that by implementing CAA-NRC, Modi wants to kill us and throw us into detention camps. In what appears a well-taught, well-rehearsed inference, the child says that Modi will not give us clothes and food. She says that “hum azaadi lene aaye hain aur lekar jayenge” (we have come here to take freedom and will go for here only after achieving it)


In another video, uploaded by the Twitter account, Know the Nation and shared by a different user, young children can be sitting around a bonfire and indulging in uncouth sloganeering which is most certainly been taught to them. They can be heard saying: “Hum lekejar rahenge Azadi, tera baap bhi dega Azadi, teri maa bhi degi – Azadi!”


In another one, a child is heard saying: “Modi ko jaan se khatam kar denge. Naam aise hi badnaam nai hua hai!”


One more video shared by Know the Nation shows a girl saying: “Modi ko log gaali nahi denge toh kya puja karenge?” a diabolic thought which has been instilled in the brains of these innocent children.


Even though Twitter users flooded the micro-blogging site with so many proofs, it was probably not enough to convince the NDTV journalist who now went on to question the authenticity of these videos. Doubting the credibility of the source from where these videos were taken, Sreenivasan Jain, sneered at the BJP leader: “Am afraid if this is the ‘proof’ – sharing an unverified cellphone video (of children) circulated by a Twitter handle – where is the credibility? Expect better from a Member of Parliament and state president of BJP, sir!

Well, Twitter is a bad space to peddle lies and distort or controvert facts. Twitter users once again got the ball rolling and made sure that the NDTV journalist is bottled up.

Twitter account Know The Nation took the opportunity to school Jain. By sharing clips of videos shot at Shaheen Bagh by them through their phones Know The Nation wrote: “Hi @SreenivasanJain, of course, you’re the expert in the area of “unverified” videos/news – but since you brought it up, let’s talk credibility here: The video was shot by us at Delhi’s #ShaheenBagh as revealed by the iPhone it was shot on Please air this on NDTV Prime Time too!”


Another Twitter user Spaminder Bharti who goes by the handle @attomeybharti called out the NDTV journalist’s hypocrisy and exposed the nexus between the leftist goons and few paid journos. Sreenivasan Jain had earlier taken to Twitter to share videos of JNU violence. Sharing a screenshot of Sreenivasan’s old Tweet, the Twitter user questions the journalist’s double standards. He further shared the video uploaded by Know The Nation as a proof of authenticity.


Sufficient proofs have emerged which reveals that the protest in Shaheen Bagh is a typical left-wing organised blatant communal event where protestors are openly batting for secession from India.

In just a week, many incidents have surfaced which laid the secessionist agenda of the ultra-left wing protestors at Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh area exposed. It is now sufficiently clear that this protest like all other anti-CAA riots is anything but ‘organic’. In fact, it is another typical left-wing organised blatant communal event where protestors are openly batting for secession from India.

Today, the Enforcement Directorate has revealed that the Islamic radicals of Popular Front of India (PFI) are behind the funding of the protest at Shaheen Bagh and how political parties like AAP and Congress and organisations like Bhim Army are linked to PFI and the Shaheen Bagh protest.

What is appalling is that these ultra-left wings, in their compulsion to break India and in their hate for Modi and his government have reached to this level that they have started using innocent children to peddle their agenda.

Swara Bhaskar says that political analyst Gunja Kapoor should thank Shaheen Bagh for not lynching her

Political analyst Gunja Kapoor was heckled by women at Shaheen Bagh on Wednesday for allegedly ‘taking videos’. She was allegedly wearing a ‘burqa’ and the objection was raised over her trying to cover the protests while wearing one. The reaction from the liberal crowd was along expected lines as they tried to justify the attack on Kapoor due to her political inclinations. Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker went a step further in defending the Islamists at Shaheen Bagh.

Swara Bhaskar said on Thursday that Gunja Kapoor should be grateful that she was not lynched by the protesters at Shaheen Bagh. Amidst a slew of abuses, Bhasker said that she should be thankful for their “patience and empathy” which was not visible in the videos that have surfaced regarding the events that transpired. In the space of 280 characters, Bhasker called Kapoor ‘sick, toxic, shameless’ and her plan ‘devious, deceitful, evil and incredibly tacky’.


It’s unclear where Swara Bhasker is getting information about Gunja Kapoor’s ‘plan’. From what has surfaced since then, it is clear that Kapoor was only there to record the protests without revealing her identity.

Earlier in the week, Kapoor was a panellist on a CNN News 18 show with Bhupendra Chaubey when the crowd at Shaheen Bagh went unruly and heckled him and forced them to cut short their show. Therefore, it is not unreasonable to assume that her previous experience with the protesters might have affected her decision.

Furthermore, Indian laws do not prohibit individuals from wearing the Burkha. Neither it is illegal to record videos of public protests. It appears that Swara Bhasker believes that Hindus should be grateful to the protesters at Shaheen Bagh for allowing them to get out of there alive.

There have been several incidents of journalists being attacked at Shaheen Bagh. Deepak Chaurasia and Bhupendra Chaube can attest to that. Therefore, taking certain precautionary measures isn’t out of order by any measure. Swara Bhasker appears to believe that Shaheen Bagh is a ‘no-go zone’ for Hindus and Hindus should enter the area only after taking due permission from the Muslim residents of the area.

However, all of this hasn’t stopped the Bollywood entertainer from going out of her way and whitewash the zealotry of the protesters. The same zealotry has also claimed the life of an innocent baby who was exposed to the harsh weather of Delhi at Shaheen Bagh by her mother.

Two days ahead of the Delhi assembly elections, controversial ultra-left wing Supreme Court lawyer Prashant Bhushan, who was kicked out of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has picked up the EVM ‘bogey’ yet again as he asked whether Home Minister Amit Shah was going to ‘tamper EVMs’ to win Delhi elections.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday during an election meeting in East Delhi’s Kondli had said that the Delhi elections was a contest between two “ideologies” and asserted that the poll results will come as a shock to everyone.

Home Minister Amit Shah had urged people to vote along with their families before 10.30 am on February 8 to make Delhi and the country safe. “I know your decision, the results on February 11 will shock everyone,” he had said.

Shah’s statements came at the backdrop of the recent pre-poll surveys which had predicted a victory for the ruling of the Aam Aadmi Party in the Delhi elections. The Home Minister was probably saying that the results will be much more different than the pre-poll surveys as he asserted that elections results would shock the people.

However, Prashant Bhushan who has a habit of taking offence to every statement by BJP leaders took to Twitter to float his conspiracy theory. He asked how could Amit Shah say that Delhi election results will ‘shock everyone’. Bhushan claimed that Home Minister Amit Shah already knew AAP was winning and according to Prashant Bhushan, Shah’s statement only meant that BJP was going to do magic by tampering EVMs to win elections.


It is bizarre that Prashant Bhushan who claims to be a Supreme Court lawyer makes such illogical statements to make a political point. Bhushan, who often proclaims himself to be an intellectual, however, did not comprehend the contextual nature of Amit Shah’s statements and rather indulged in his usual act of spreading conspiracy theories and false propaganda, that too about a non-existent ‘EVM tampering’ bogey that has long been debunked as totally fake and fictional.

Student Islamic Organisation Maharashtra chief Salman Ahmed has been detained for making provocative statement during an anti-CAA gathering in Nanded earlier this month.


In the speech, one can hear him say that this is not like Babri Masjid where Supreme Court judgement will be binding on all. “Shaheen Bagh has decided that CAA will be rolled back and the government must roll back. This is a fight for dignity. This is a fight for justice and self respect. This law will be rolled back and this government will also go. In another clip that has gone viral, he shames Hindus for the central government passing the Citizenship Amendment Act. “You should be ashamed. Don’t come to show that there are Hindus against CAA. Lambasting at RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav for his controversial remark on JD(U) chief and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, JD(U) leader Ajay Alok said that Tej Pratap is ‘mentally unstable’.

Alok stated that Tej Pratap’s mental balance is poor. “He dances like Radha Krishna. He should have been in Ranchi instead of Patna. Only a crazy person would say such things,” said Alok Kumar suggesting that it is better for the family to send Tej Pratap to Ranchi where he might be treated. Notably, Ranchi is the home for the Central Institute of Psychiatry, regarded as one of the best institutes for treatment of mental illness.

Tej Pratap Yadav, who is often in news for his marital woes and peculiar fashion sense, had stated earlier that Nitish Kumar is not ‘Kumar’ but he is a ‘Kumari’. He had also made derogatory statements against deputy CM Sushil Modi and state health minister Mangal Pandey, calling him ‘Amangal’ Pandey. Yadav was speaking at an anti-CAA event in Masaudi on Wednesday.

The son of fodder scam convict and Bihar’s former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav had also attacked the JD(U)-NDA alliance, saying that if BJP-JD(U) leaders have courage, then they should be fighting from the front, and should not be sitting at home wearing bangles.

Reacting to the same remarks made by Tej Pratap, BJP spokesperson Nikhil Anand said that Tej Pratap mimics his father, he will also go to jail like him. Describing Tej Pratap as habitually bad-tempered and insolent leader Nikhil Anand demanded that Tej Pratap must immediately apologize to Nitish Kumar and Sushil Modi.

Meanwhile, BJP MLC Naval Yadav also called Taj Pratap deranged and said that he should not be given any importance. If mentally unstable people are given the attention, their morale gets boosted which proliferates their insanity, said the BJP leader.

RJD party MLA Vijay Prakash, however, jumped to Tej Pratap’s rescue calling him a kid. He defended RJD chief’s son by saying that it was merely a slip of tongue and Tej Pratap Yadav’s intentions were clear.

Attacking Congress over its hypocrisy over the Citizenship Amendment Act, PM Modi questioned Congress party’s silence over the anti-Sikh genocide and asked why did not they seek justice for the Sikhs then by sending the accused to Jail.

“You did not send those who are accused in the anti-Sikh riots to jails. Not just that, you also made someone who has allegations of instigating anti-Sikh riots, a Chief Minister,” said PM Modi as he indirectly attacked Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath.
