Muslim cleric from Uganda discovers his ‘wife’ is a man after 2 weeks of marriage, Mosque suspends him to “preserve the integrity of their faith”

0

In a bizarre incident, a Muslim cleric in Uganda was suspended by his mosque, after his newly-wed wife turned out to be a man in reality.

Sheikh Mohammed Mutumba (27), working as an Imam at the Kyampisi Masjid Noor mosque in Uganda, was left shocked when the truth was revealed two weeks after his marriage when his wife was caught stealing a neighbour’s TV set and some clothes in Kayunga and was searched by the police.

After being arrested, a female police officer carried out a body search on the suspect, as the suspect was supposed to be a woman, but the officer found out that ‘she’ was actually a man.

According to reports, the imposter, Richard Tumushabe, later admitted that he had pretended to be a woman so that he could marry the Imam and steal his money.

The Mosque dismissed the cleric from his duties following this shocking revelation saying that it was to “preserve the integrity of their faith”. Mosque officials said they suspended the imam despite confirming he had entered the marriage thinking Nabukeera was a woman.

The cleric speaking to a local newspaper said that he was under the impression that he was getting married to a woman named Swabullah Nabukeera when they wed in December. Mutumba claimed that they didn’t consummate the marriage because she told him she was menstruating.

One of the cleric’s friends also revealed that the cleric had complained four days after the wedding that his new bride refused “to undress while they slept”.

Amisi Kibunga, who also works at the mosque, said that they were also fooled by the imposter as he usually wore a hijab and spoke in a “sweet soft voice” and “walked like a woman”.

The case is being investigated. The cleric has not been available for comments as he was known to be staying at his relative’s house while receiving counselling to recover from the shock.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to skip all CM meet by Central Government on NPR, says her govt has already stayed NPR updation process

0

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday declared that neither she nor anyone from her government will attend the meet on 17 January meant for discussion on NPR (National Population Register). The meeting is called by the Central Government to be attended by Chief Secretaries of all the states. Mamata Banerjee is also the first Chief Minister who announced that NPR will not be implemented by her state, followed by Communist led Government of Kerala.

Reportedly, she also dared the Governor of West Bengal Jagdish Dhankar to dismiss the state government for not following the Centre. Also cited him as a spokesperson of BJP. Mamata hit out at left and Congress for spreading false assertions about NPR being practiced in West Bengal. She affirmed that practice of NPR has been stopped in Bengal and not a single Act that will affect the citizen’s integrity will be implemented in West Bengal.

Banerjee had met PM Modi last week who was visiting the state and had asked him to rethink about implementation of CAA and NRC. However, during her meeting with the PM at Raj Bhavan, Banerjee wore a black badge to protest against the CAA and NRC.

Earlier this week, Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi had also called for an opposition meeting on 13 January against CAA, NRC that was also boycotted by Mamata Banerjee, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati and Aam Aadmi Party. Mamata accused congress of indulging in violence and vandalism during Bandh in Bengal and called it as ”Goondagardi” and ”cheap politics”.

Radical Islamic organisation PFI praises Congress over its attempt to weaken anti-terror mechanism by seeking to repeal NIA Act, urges other non-BJP govts to follow

The radical Islamic organization Popular Front of India (PFI) has heaped praises on the Congress party after the Chhattisgarh government approached the Supreme Court demanding the declaration of NIA Act of 2008 as unconstitutional. Ironically, the law that the Congress government in the state seeks to be declared unconstitutional was passed by the Congress-led UPA government in 2008.

In a statement issued by PFI, they said that PFI national general secretary M Mohammed Ali Jinnah welcomed the Chhatisgarh government’s decision and urged the other non-BJP governments to approach the Supreme Court as well. Jinnah said that the law was against the “spirit of federalism”. Another government that received great compliments from the PFI was Pinarayi Vijayan’s government in Kerala.

PFI statement supporting Congress

The statement said, “Kerala has set a good example by officially approaching the apex court against the discriminatory Citizenship Amendment Act. As a state where there are many instances of the misuse of the NIA Act and UAPA, Kerala state government can be in the forefront to follow the example of the Chhattisgarh government and challenge both the laws.”

The statement concluded with the words, “Taking the seriousness of the situation into account, Popular Front appeals other non-BJP state governments to align themselves with Chhattisgarh in raising this demand and to save constitution and federal character of the country.”

The National Investigation Agency Act 2008 conferred powers to the Central Government to form the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to combat terror in India. The agency acts as the Central Counter-Terrorism Law Enforcement Agency and is empowered to deal with terror-related crimes across states without special permission from the states.

The involvement of PFI was suspected in the recent anti-CAA riots across the country. Three people associated with the radical Islamic organization, including UP state head Waseem, have been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police for orchestrating violence by spreading misinformation through social media platforms. Intelligence agencies had also reported that PFI and SIMI were behind the violence during the anti-CAA protests.

Who was Karim Lala, the underworld don that Sanjay Raut claims Indira Gandhi used to meet

A massive controversy erupted after firebrand Shiv Sena leader, Sanjay Raut, revealed that the former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, used to visit Mumbai to meet the underworld don Karim Lala. After the Congress expressed its displeasure, the motormouth was quick to issue a clarification but the clarification did not help his cause at all. Karim Lala was one of the most infamous characters in modern Mumbai and revealed the dark underbelly of the culture of crime that flourished in the city.

Karim Lala was born in 1911 in the Kunar province of Afghanistan and migrated to India sometime in the 1930s. He was a Pathan of Pashtun descent. For more than two decades, between the 1960s to early 1980s, he would be regarded as one of the three “mafia dons of Mumbai”. While Mastan Mirza aka Haji Mastan is often touted as the first don of Mumbai, in reality, it is a lot more probable that it is Karim Lala who was the first.

Karim Lala was the leader of the dreaded ‘Pathan Gang’ and enjoyed a great reputation within his community. His legacy is one of organized crime where he was involved in extortion, illicit liquor business, illegal gambling, forced evictions from property, kidnapping, contract killing, distribution of narcotics and fake currency rackets. On the foundation of his organized crime, he had also developed legitimate businesses and used a combination of the two to create and maintain a consequential sphere of influence.

Bollywood superstars and politicians used to frequent his den and work hard to ensure that they remained in his good books. There was one particular occasion when he helped out the Bollywood superstar Helen. An acquaintance of Helen had fled with her money and was refusing to return it. In despair, the actress approached the Don through Dilip Kumar, another Bollywood legend. Karim Lala intervened in the matter and ensured that the money was returned to her.

The don’s relationship with other dons of Mumbai was cooperative at times and violent on other occasions, depending upon circumstances. In the early seventies, after a spate of violence that adversely impacted their ‘dhandha’, the three dons of Mumbai, Karim Lala, Haji Mastan and Varadarajan Mudaliar came together and formed a pact. They divided Mumbai into three parts and continued to operate their businesses ‘in peace’ within their respective regions.

Karim Lala did not share such a ‘cordial’ relationship with Dawood. In 1980, his bid to mediate peace between his nephew, Samad Khan, and his rivals, Saabir Ibrahim Kaskar and Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar did not come to fruition. There was also one occasion in which Dawood was severely thrashed by Karim Lala after it was discovered that Dawood was running a smuggling racket in his area. The latter somehow managed to make an escape and run for his life.

However, not too long after, Dawood again started the smuggling racket following which it was decided that he ought to be taught a lesson. Consequently, members of the ‘Pathan Gang’ murdered Dawood’s brother Saabir in 1981. It initiated a blood feud and five years later, Lala’s brother Rahim Khan was murdered by Dawood in 1986.

He was born as Abdul Karim Sher Khan but took decided to call himself Karim Lala not too long after he took the plunge into the world of gambling. The book, ‘Dongri to Dubai’, authored by S. Hussain Zaidi, says, “He started off by establishing a gambling den — euphemistically known as a ‘social club’—on the street he lived in. The club was frequented by all kinds of people—paupers and those with deep pockets; those who could afford to lose money and those who struggled to survive; daily wage labourers and middle-class men.”

The book stated further, “Heavy losers borrowed money from Khan or his men to buy groceries or other necessities. When Khan noticed that this was becoming a trend, he decided to put an end to it by asking the borrowers to pay him interest on the 10th of every month for the borrowed sum. This discouraged some but others remained undaunted. Khan noticed that his cash box swelled on the tenth of every month and encouraged by this, he decided to become a moneylender or Lala. Thus, Karim Khan came to be known as Karim ‘Lala’.”

The book continued, “Over a period of time, Karim Lala’s gambling den became a hotspot for crime. Violence, brawls, and mugging became routine. This brought him into contact with the local police and subsequently with Crime Branch officials. But Karim Lala managed to bribe his way out of legal entanglements. Slowly and gradually he began to grow in stature and clout. Some began to refer to him in grander terms as Karim Dada. Following their tribal tradition the Pathans, who had begun to crowd around Karim Lala, looked up to him as their leader. In return, he would bail them out of tricky situations, from time to time involving himself in their concerns.”

Karim Lala began as a small-time goon who was hired by local businessmen and money lenders to recover money from debtors and other small-time jobs. Soon, he turned to gambling and from then on, one step led to another, and he gradually built an empire of organized crime. The most distressing part about the entire affair was the extent of influence he held over politicians and the entertainment industry.

It also revealed that his record of crimes had no impact on his reputation within his community. By Sanjay Raut’s own words, “A lot of people would come to meet Karim Lala, especially politicians. Raut, who has been a journalist himself, seems to have scratched a raw nerve of Congress by stating the former PM’s alleged links with the underworld don. The claim that the dons used to decide Mumbai’s police commissioner may as well be another unpleasant skeleton in the closet that the Congress doesn’t want to be opened. Karim Lala ultimately passed away at the age of 90 in 2002 in Mumbai.

‘Did underworld fund Congress? Did Congress support Mumbai bombers?’ Devendra Fadnavis seeks explanation from Congress over Sanjay Raut’s remarks

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut yesterday stirred up a hornet’s nest by divulging that “Indira Gandhi used to meet gangster Karim Lala in Pydhonie (in south Mumbai).”

Today, amidst the controversy over his remark, former Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis queried why Congress party bigwigs like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are silent over the allegations meted out at Congress stalwart Indira Gandhi by a member of their alliance partner Shiv Sena, with whom they have come together to constitute the government in Maharashtra. He sought an explanation from the grand old party over Raut’s comment.

He wondered whether the Congress was “funded by Mumbai’s underworld” and whether these funds were utilised to win elections during those days.

“Sanjay Raut has made major expos about late PM Indira Gandhi. Why was she visiting Mumbai and whether the Congress was funded by the underworld of Mumbai? Was it the beginning of criminalisation of politics?” he queried.

Quoting Raut as saying that underworld dons Chhota Shakeel and Dawood Ibrahim used to “decide who would be the commissioner of police, as well as postings in ‘Mantralaya’ (state secretariat),” he asks whether Congress needed “muscle power” to win elections in those days?

Fadnavis asked the Congress leadership whether they are in unison with Raut’s claim that during Congress the regime, from 1960 to 1980, the underworld use to decide on who would be Mumbai’s commissioner of police?

“Why are Congress leaders still silent despite such allegations against their supreme leader?” Fadnavis asked. “Did the Congress support those who attacked Mumbai? Why is Congress not coming out with an explanation?” he questioned.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP0HG6vOoms]

Devendra Fadnavis said that he wondered whether Congress has chosen not to speak on this matter because they do not want to lose the grip on Maharashtra by speaking against a member of its ally Shiv Sena.

Firebrand politician Sanjay Raut, who played a central role in stitching alliance between ideologically disparate parties of Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP in Maharashtra, had made an explosive revelation, on Tuesday, that he had met underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim, many times over.

During an interview with the Lokmat media group at its award function in Pune on Wednesday, Raut also said, “When (underworld don) Haji Mastan came to Mantralaya, the entire secretariat would come down to see him. In fact, he also claimed that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi used to visit Mumbai to meet Karim Lala.

The motormouth Rajya Sabha member also said that “they (underworld) used to decide who will be Mumbai’s police commissioner and who will sit in Mantralaya”.

Karim Lala was one of the three top underworld dons of Mumbai for over two decades, from the sixties to early eighties. He operated the Pathan gang from the crime-infested Muslim ghettos of South Bombay and were involved in illegal gambling, liquor dens, contract killing, illegal money recovery and other things. He died in Mumbai in 2002 at the age of 90-91.

Later, however, in an attempt to undo the mess and please its alliance partner, Shiv Sena motormouth Sanjay Raut issued a clarification on his comments that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi used to come to Mumbai to meet underworld don, Karim Lala. He justified such meetings saying that a lot of people used to meet Karim Lala, as he was a world leader of Pathan community. Raut even went on to compare underworld don Karim Lala with Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan.

Notably, while Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan was known as Frontier Gandhi for his non-violent movements and pacifist nature, Karim Lala was notorious for contract killings, forceful property eviction, kidnapping and extortion.

AAP gave ticket to relative of my daughter’s rapist, Sanjay Singh threw me out of his office, alleges mother of a rape victim

Mother of rape victim has threatened that she will self immolate if Aam Aadmi Party does not withdraw candidature of Dhanwati Chandela, a relative of Karan Chandela, whom she has accused of raping her daughter. As per the mother of the victim Simmi Dutt, her daughter committed suicide in September last year after months of blackmail and sexual abuse on hands of Chandela.

In a video shared by BJP leader Kapil Mishra, Dutt can be heard asking for justice for her daughter. “I will not let there be another Muskan,” the mother cries as she waits outside Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party head Arvind Kejriwal’s residence. She is demanding that the family member of the accused not be given ticket to contest the upcoming Delhi elections. “I will set myself on fire and kill myself if that Chandela is given a ticket,” she says.

Taking to Twitter, she alleged that AAP MP Sanjay Singh got her forcefully removed out of his office when she had gone to meet him to seek justice for her daughter.

The case

Earlier in January, Dutt had urged Kejriwal to help her seek justice as Chandela’s family has strong political clout. Dhanwati Chandela is the accused aunt, while her husband has been member and leader of Congress party. In a letter to Kejriwal, Dutt had asked him not to promote people with criminal background. Dutt has alleged police inaction owing to Chandela’s political background. She also alleged that other AAP leaders are not coming out to help her get justice for her daughter.

In September 2019, Muskan had allegedly committed suicide in September 2019 by hanging herself in her home in Delhi’s Tilak Nagar. The family had alleged that she was being blackmailed by Chandela as he had some inappropriate pictures and videos of her. While a case been registered under section 306 of IPC (abetment to suicide), the accused, Karan Chandela has not yet been arrested.

In December, 2019, Dutta had alleged that Karan’s father is an AAP leader and has as many as 26 cases registered against him. She said that she had approached AAP MP Sanjay Singh regarding Dhanwati Chandela’s candidature for Delhi elections but he did nothing after saying he’ll help in front of the media. However, later he blocked her phone number, she alleges.

She further alleges that AAP MP Sanjay Singh has been taking the side of Chandela while denying justice to her.

Viral video claims Shaheen Bagh protestors are paid Rs 500-700 to ‘protest’ in shifts, BJP alleges Congress support

A video that has now gone viral on social media shows a shopkeeper confiding on camera that the Shaheen Bagh protests are sponsored. It has raised several questions.

Since the CAA was passed by the Parliament, the group of protesters mostly comprising of Mulsim women blocked a road in Kalindi Kunj area that connects Faridabad- New Delhi- Noida. This has led to traffic inconvenience, increasing travel time from 20 minutes to several hours.

The viral video was shared on Twitter yesterday by Amit Malviya, the BJP’s IT cell head. The man in the video appeared to be the shopkeeper. He claimed that the protesting women are paid between ₹500 and ₹700 on a daily basis. He added that the protestors work in shifts so that the crowd looks huge at all times of the day.

According to him, the women are incentivised to dedicate their free time to the protests. He asserted that these sponsored protests are carried out near Batla House and Kalindi Kunj. He also added that the protestors are provided with food, rest and shift-based rotational ‘duty hours’ in a well-organised manner. He was seen telling that this has been going on since the ‘protests’ began and this is seen as a mode of income for the locals.

In a phone interview with Times Now, Amit Malviya alleged that the Congress ecosystem is behind these “sponsored” protests. He based his argument on the fact that several Congress leaders such as Mani Shankar Aiyar used the platform of Shaheen Bagh protests to speak against the CAA. According to Malviya, the opportunity to speak at these protests was the result of Congress’ sponsorship.

He questioned the motives behind these protests as the CAA has no impact on any Indian citizen, be it in Shaheen bagh or anywhere else. He asked whether the Indian Muslim hardliners have some kind of veto power in the country that they will reject democratic legislations brought via the parliament.

He questioned whether Muslim hardliners will decide the fate of Hindus and Sikhs coming to India, just like they do in Pakistan. Lastly, he alleged that these organized protests are part of the larger narrative built by Congress in the wake of the Delhi 2020 State Assembly elections.

Even though OpIndia could not verify the authenticity of the video, it certainly raises doubts about the credibility of the organized Shaheen Bagh protests. The video and the constant anti-Hindu narrative emerging from the anti-CAA protests have left us questioning the real intentions behind these protests

‘Not mandatory to provide any document during NPR exercise, it is voluntary’: Home ministry rebuts misleading report by TOI

0

The Ministry of Home Affairs has yet against clarified that citizens will not be present and submit for the National Population Register. Responding to a report published by the Times of India with the titled “Have Aadhaar, passport? You’ll have to share details for NPR” and with the subtitle “Voter ID, DL info also mandatory”.

Quoting a senior government official, the report states that although it is ‘voluntary’ to submit the identification to enumerators during the NPR data collection, it will be ‘mandatory’ to provide details of Aadhaar, Passport, voter ID and driving licence if people have them. The report said that for people who don’t have these documents, they don’t have to provide the details, but if people have been issued any of these documents, they will have to provide details of the same, although they are not required to show any document as proof.

Reacting to the claims made by the Times of India report, the spokesperson of the Home Minister stated the report gives the wrong impression that the documents will have to be compulsorily given during the NPR enumeration, and such a connotation is not correct. The spokesperson said that no documents would be asked by the enumerators for the NPR exercise. But if respondents want to provide documents for verification, they are free to do so. The ministry clarified that there will be no compulsion from the side of enumerators to submit any document.

The opposition parties have been protesting against the NPR in the country, despite the fact that it was already conducted in 2010 during the Congress government. A lot of misinformation being spread against the National Population Register, along with CAA and NRC. It is being claimed that people will have to produce documents, and if they fail to do so, they will lose their citizenship.

The government has repeatedly clarified that no documents will be collected during the NPR exercise, and people can choose not to provide some details during the enumeration. Government has said that there is no need any proof, any papers, any biometric for the NPR.

Complaint filed with National Commission for Protection of Child Rights against children being used for anti-CAA protests

0

The NGO Save Child India has filed a complaint with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) registering their concerns over the fact that children are being used in protests as props. The NGO says it is a gross violation of the rights of children and calls it child abuse. This complaint comes after several children were seen raising slogans and protesting in Shaheen Bagh.

The complaint appears to be motivated in part by the recent anti-CAA protests at Shaheen Bagh where disturbing visuals of children being used for protests were observed. The complainant, Kumar Sheodhvj Ratna, founder of the said NGO appeared to have taken it into account as the twitter account of the NGO had shared Abhinav Khare’s YouTube video which focused around the manner in which children were being used to further the anti-CAA, anti-NRC agenda of their guardians.

OpIndia.com got in touch with Ratna and he confirmed that the complaint was indeed motivated by the protests at Shaheen Bagh. He said that he had watched the video by Khare and was greatly troubled by the fact that these children who are not capable of giving consent, and were no older than 10 or 11 years old by his estimation, were being used to further a political agenda. In the video, the children could be heard raising slogans of Azadi and they were also raising extremely disturbing slogans. Slogans such as “Jo Hitler ki chaal chalega, woh Hitler ki maut marega” and “Jamia tere khoon se, Inquilab aayega” were raised by the kids.

Ratna said, “When I saw these things, it was really disheartening as I really couldn’t grab what these children were doing. They were talking of Azadi and they are 10 or 11 years old. They are children, they cannot even express their feelings, they haven’t formed an opinion and they have been taken to this place.” He continued, “I thought why were they taken there.. Were these children being taken for some vested interests? The thing was really painful for me.. The parents were using children as their property. How can you use these children as your property?”

Read: Latest poster from Shaheen Bagh confirms that CAA ‘protests’ is about Islamist supremacy and Hinduphobia: Here is why

It was emphasized that the children had not given their consent and also the fact that it was an area that is prone to violence and there’s not enough adequate protection for them. In the complaint, it is said, “That protest can be risky and that children can also face threats from authorities. This is a very critical concern to be considered that they might be penalized for what they have not done.”

The complaint also asserts that protests are as “important to a democratic society as voting, which routes the ideas can be promoted and debated. At the same, the states must facilitate their (Children) right to protest only after consent from children to protest, along with special measures in order to account for their potential vulnerabilities.”

It is also contended that although “adults may genuinely intend to further children’s rights, they cannot claim to speak conclusively for children and young people, because they are not a member of that group.” Several questions were also raised by the complainant.

Questions raised in the complaint

The complaint demands that a minimum age criterion be set which mandates that children below a certain cannot participate in protests. It also requests that the parents who engage in such irresponsible conduct be detained. In the end, it asks that directions be issued to the appropriate authorities for due action in the matter. The complaint, although it doesn’t specifically mention anti-CAA protests anywhere, was motivated by the disturbing visuals coming from it.

The protests at Shaheen Bagh against the CAA have witnessed an endless barrage of anti-Hindu bigotry. Calls of ‘Jinnah Wali Azadi‘ were raised by the protesters at the site among other things. In the most recent instance, a Hinduphobic poster denigrating the sacred Swastika was spotted at the protests, which was cheered on by the likes of Saba Naqvi.

After AMU, Jamia Millia Islamia to move court for registration of FIR against Delhi Police who retaliated against Islamist mobs

0

Taking a cue from Aligarh Muslim University, the Jamia Millia Islamia university also declared today that they will move the court for registration of FIR against the Delhi Police. The university officials said that the varsity will move court over the non-filing of an FIR by the Delhi Police in the alleged ‘violence’ that took place in the university on December 15.

The application will be filed under Section 156(3) (Police officer’s power to investigate cognizable case) of CrPC in court.

On Tuesday, Jamia Millia Islamia Vice Chancellor Najma Akhtar met Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik and urged him to lodge an FIR in connection with the police action on campus after violence erupted during an anti-CAA riot in the area on December 15.

Akhtar also met MHRD officials on Tuesday and reiterated her demand for an enquiry into the “police brutality” on the campus and raised the issue of an FIR not being registered in the matter yet.

Jamia spokesperson Ahmed Azeem stated, “An application will be filed very soon in the lower court under section 156(3) of the CrPC seeking direction to police to register an FIR.”

Notably, the Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Prof Tariq Mansoor on Tuesday also said that the varsity will file an FIR against the Uttar Pradesh Police for entering the hostel without permission.

Rampant violence, riots, arson, vandalism, damage to public life and property in the name of ‘peaceful protests’ had been reported from Jamia Nagar on December 15. The police had to enter Jamia campus to flush out rioters who had been pelting stones.

Several buses, many two-wheelers were burnt by the Jamia Nagar protestors and rampant damaged was caused to the public properties in the area. The Delhi Police had baton-charged the violent protestors in retaliation. Police statements and videos later had shown that the rioters had been prepared.

In the wake of violent protests that erupted at the Jamia Millia Islamia University, the Delhi Police had then claimed that the violence was not spontaneous but well-planned. They had said that the rioters were well-prepared and that the protests were engineered beforehand. In fact, CCTV footage’s had emerged which showed how Jamia rioters had pelted stones and how masked men had set a motorcycle and a DTC bus on fire.

Further investigation by the Delhi Police into the December 15 Jamia violence had unravelled the involvement of political parties like Congress and Aam Aadmi Party and many radical Islamic organisations, in the entire fiasco. The Delhi Police had named former Congress MLA Asif Khan as one of the accused in its FIR.

Surprisingly, the university has been supporting these ‘students’ and has refused to share the footage captured by CCTV cameras in the university campus to identify the rioters with the Delhi Police.
