The explosion happened at a bus stand near a Shiv Mandir in the Surankote area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir. Though there were no casualties, the impact was so severe that it created a crater on the ground and left holes and marks on the temple walls.
"These five life sentences will run concurrently," read the court judgment. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 7,20,000 on Alam, a migrant labourer hailing from Bihar.

The Police took cognizance of the event and arrested the accused for murdering Gadhvi. Also, considering the sensitivity of the incident, the police deployed some security staff in Labhnagar to avoid any untoward incidents further.
As per the police, the 62-km border in the Sabroom division could not be fully fenced due to geographical problems and is being used by human traffickers.
