In the coming months, we can certainly expect several comments from SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav and BSP supremo Mayawati against Rahul Gandhi and Congress' overall strategy to consolidate upper caste votes.

Mayawati had earlier, however, cleared that her party does not support Congress' ideologies and policies and that the support extended was mere to prevent the BJP from grabbing power in both the states of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

If Congress has not forgotten the 1996 elections, they would very well know they are on a sticky wicket here.
