A Shocking case of Love Jihad came to light from Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The victim Hindu girl alleges that Mohammad Naved aka Kasib Pathan trapped her in love by hiding her religion and then raped, blackmailed and pressured her to convert to Islam.

Reports say that Afzal was earlier arrested in this case. His parents apologised to the girl and got him released from jail, but as soon as he came out, Afzal again started threatening the girl to convert to Islam or he would do her ‘Sar tan se juda’ (beheading).

As per the complainant, in June 2022, the accused Nadeem established sexual relations with her by promising to marry her. However, whenever she asked about marriage, the accused youth used to prevaricate.

The love jihad victim said in her statement that, about 4 years ago, Riyaz befriended her on social media pretending to be Gulshan Manhas.

The woman filed a police complaint after she discovered that the man who had forcefully established sexual relations with her was actually a Muslim. She claimed that the accused lied to her saying that his name was Raju.

Another case of purported love jihad came to the fore from Rae Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh where a Muslim youth named Mohammad Ansari hid his religious identity and posed as a Hindu to trap a Hindu widow in his love affair.

This case pertains to Adil Abdul Patel of Chavaj village whom Bharuch police arrested on January 6, 2024, for luring a Hindu girl using a fake social media ID. Adil, using the name ‘Arya Patel’, trapped a Hindu girl on Instagram.
