Muslim groups are retracting their own statements assuring demolition of illegally constructed mosque in the Sanjauli area of Himachal Pradesh's capital Shimla

The Shimla Municipal Commissioner Court on Saturday ordered the demolition of three floors of the Sanjauli Mosque in Himachal Pradesh.

As per the reports, a minor scuffle is reported to have happened between the Hindu protesters and the police. This is as the protesters of the 'Hindu Dharam Jagaran Yatra' marched from Hanuman temple to Akhara Mosque amid tight security.

This construction of a mosque in Bareilly was done without any government permission, which became the main reason for the dispute.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) drive to demolish the alleged illegal section of a mosque in Dharavi, which is considered Asia's largest slum, has been cancelled after huge numbers of locals gathered on the streets.

Tension erupted in Dharavi slum in Mumbai on Saturday after hundreds of Muslim residents gathered on a road and opposed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's plan to demolish an alleged illegal portion of a mosque.

The strike was called by Shimla Vyapar Mandal from 10 am to 1 pm on 12th September and demanded removal of SP Shimla.

The administration razed the boundary wall of the mosque, five shops, a marriage hall, and the welcome gate to the ground with a bulldozer. All these sites had been illegally expanded by the committee.

The protesters accused the Telangana Congress govt of hurting the temple's sanctity and being biased towards Muslims.
