Muslim mob

The viral video is from the Dumariyaganj Police Station wherein the Muslims raised the Sar tan see juda slogans in front of the Bharatbhari temple. As the video went viral online, Siddharathnagar Police came into action and launched an investigation into the matter.

A victim named Neeraj said that Muslim youths were making videos of girls dancing during the wedding festivities on Sunday and also passed obscene comments on them, as the Dalit youths objected to this, the Muslim youths called several other people and launched an attack on Hindu Dalits.

The thatched roofs of the Hindu community's kutcha homes were destroyed during this sudden onslaught. Several bikes were vandalised.

The video of the incident is making rounds on social media in which a girl wearing a burqa can be seen trying to escape from the attack by the Muslim mob.

Fresh developments indicate that the violence might have been planned. On Sunday, Jodhpur Police conducted a search operation in the affected area and recovered two trolleys of stones from the roofs of five houses. The Police have registered an FIR in the matter against 65 people. So far, the police have arrested 51 accused.

The FIR says that accused Ilyas hit Jaipal with the iron pipe on his head and mouth with the intention to kill him. After this, victim Jaipal fell unconscious.

It becomes exceedingly difficult, as per Justice Farjand Ali, to distinguish the culprits from the innocent during mob attacks.
