The government has reportedly explored the possibility of using Indian Air Force aircraft to securely transport examination material across the country.
The rationale behind involving the IAF is the goal of tackling multifaceted challenges, particularly the paper leak that led to the cancellation of the original NEET UG exam held on 3rd May.
The authorities say that Shivraj Motegaonkar was an “active member of the organised gang" behind the NEET UG 2026 paper leak. In collusion with other accused persons, Motegaonkar obtained the ‘guess paper’ and its answers on 23rd April, around ten days prior to the exam.
It has now emerged that the children from the Biwal family who secured second division in 12th standard, and 50% average marks in coaching, but somehow scored over 90% in the NEET exam and secured government medical college seats.
A handwritten note containing around 410 questions, with a 281-question set, circulated among students over WhatsApp, Telegram groups and coaching networks, particularly in Rajasthan’s Sikar, Uttarakhand’s Dehradun, and other coaching hubs.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued a statement on 12th May, and said that the NEET UG examination conducted on 3rd May stands cancelled and a fresh date for reconducting the exam will be announced later.
