Hina, a Pilibhit resident, filed a complaint with Bareilly police around a month and a half after their marriage, alleging Pandit Shankhdhar of forcing her to embrace Hinduism. Hina has also accused her husband, Prem Shankar Gupta, and her brother-in-law of tricking her into marriage.

He snapped her objectionable pictures and videos and demanded Rs 1 lakh to delete them. He also sent them to her relatives.

As per reports, the accused had an old enmity with the deceased Hindu youth as Hardoi locals believe that the accused had an Interfaith love affair with a Muslim girl whose family members were against this Interfaith love affair.

SP Rahul Bhati said, "Police teams have been deployed to search for Mohammed Alam. The postmortem of the body is being done. The accused will be caught soon."

Mohammed Yusuf and Mohammed Feroz came from behind and started harrasing girl on scooty. The three men who were helping the girl to reach petrol pump tried to stop them but the miscreants continued to harras the girl.

Another nurse Mehnaaz and a ward boy Junaid, who also worked at the hospital, helped Shahnawaz to execute the heinous crime. The trio has been arrested.
