Argentine fan names a rose after Lata Mangeshkar, takes lessons in Sanskrit, Hindi and Yoga

The legendary singer was awarded Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award of India, in 2001.

In a lovely gesture, Santiago Lopez, a florist based in Argentina, has named a rose in honour of the 89-year-old legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. In a tweet, Lata Mangeshkar said she is deeply touched by this gesture.

She added that Lopez, who is Spanish by birth, is even learning Sanskrit, Hindi and Yoga.
