Goa BJP unit moves Election Commission to file a complaint against a Catholic priest for hate speech against the party

The priest had said that BJP people have poured petrol on children and burnt them alive.

The BJP unit in Goa has approached the Election Commission to file a complaint against a Catholic priest for allegedly giving hate speeches against the BJP. In its complaint, BJP has alleged that the priest has been deliberately trying to stir an atmosphere of hate and fear against the party. The Goa BJP unit has also demanded an investigation against the priest.

In addition to this, the BJP unit in Goa has also submitted a CD containing the alleged hate speech to the Election Commission. The BJP has alleged that the priest is instigating people against the party by spreading falsehoods and indulging in fear-mongering and has urged the Election Commission to look into the matter and initiate action against the priest for purportedly delivering hate speech. The complaint was lodged by BJP General Secretary Vishnu Naik.

In a video of the priest that has come to fore recently, he can be heard saying that the BJP people have poured petrol on children and burnt them alive. He said, “Petrol was poured on Christian children and they were burnt. They were told to stop taking Jesus’ name. But the children continued to take the name of the Jesus, even when their skin melted with the fire. This is the BJP.”

The Christian Padre had also made unfounded allegations against the BJP President Amit Shah and PM Narendra Modi. Regarding Modi, he alleged that he had set thousands of Muslims on fire including a Member of Parliament. The priest called Amit Shah a ‘satan’ and claimed that Shah used to arrest Muslim youngsters and shoot them down.

As a part of his false propaganda, the Padre also promoted fictional stories by stating, “For 500 years under Portuguese rule, Hindus, Muslims and Christians lived in peace’” omitting the Goan Inquisition which is believed to be one of the most ruthless and barbaric ever.
