Rohit Sharma has no idea about Dhoni’s glove controversy

ICC had asked BCCI to get the Balidan badge from MS Dhoni's wicketkeeping gloves removed

In a press conference at the eve of India-Australia clash, Rohit Sharma said he doesn’t know what is happening with MS Dhoni’s glove controversy.

Talking to the media, when asked about the gloves controversy, Rohit said “I have no idea about it, honestly. See, I’m not the captain. I don’t know what’s going on with that. Probably we’ll see it tomorrow.”

Australia has beaten India (3-2) in the bilateral series after being 0-2 down in 5 match ODI series. So will that have some impact in tomorrow’s clash, Rohit believes its the thing of the past and shouldn’t matter much.

“We had success in Australia, and they had success in India recently. However, again, tomorrow’s game will all depend on how we play on that particular day. I guess it’s the same for them, as well, because we have seen one or two individuals can take the game away from you. What we have done in the past is past,” told Rohit

After the match against South Africa, Virat Kohli said that Rohit’s 122* in that match was the best ODI hundred he scored for India, but Rohit has a different point of view.

“Not the best, but yes, probably one of the best, I would rate that knock amongst the best at the top because it was not the easiest of the conditions. Although, yes, we were chasing not such a high amount of score, still, it was not that easy. Throughout the hundred overs that we played, there was something in for the bowlers,” Rohit further told the reporters.

One of the reports told Rohit that Australian skipper, Aaron Finch has picked Steve Smith as the best batsman in all three formats ahead of Kohli, Rohit said, “This is a debate we will continue as long as these guys are playing. It’s for you guys to judge who’s the best, who’s not. It’s not for me to judge.”
