Three-day long celebrations to mark the first anniversary of Pran Prathishta of Ram Lala at Ayodhya begin today

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the worship of Ram Lalla at Ram Mandir today. Several saints also participated in the ceremony.

As par Hindu Panchang, today i.e. January 11, marks the first anniversary of the Pran Prathishta (consecration) of the Ram Lalla at the Ram Mandir Ayodhya. Last year, on January 22, 2025, Hindus across the world witnessed their centuries old dream take shape when the Pran Prathishta of Ram Lala happened inside Ayodhya Ram Mandir.

The occasion is being celebrated as Prathishta Dwadashi festival which will go on for three days starting from January 11 till January 13. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the worship of Ram Lalla at Ram Mandir today. Several saints also participated in the ceremony.

The local administration has overseen all the preparations for the festival. The festivities will include cultural programmes like Ram-Leela performance, Bhajan-kirtan, folk songs and dances and an exhibition on Indian culture.

Some of the prominent personalities from the arts will be performing on the occasion as informed by Sri Ramjanmbhoomi Tirth Kshetra.

Srimati Usha Mangeshkar, Sri Umesh Pai and Srimati Gauri Yadvadkar will be giving their performances today in Ayodhya.

The entire temple premises has been decorated using 50 quintal flowers. Ram Lalla was dressed in golden clothes. During the worship of Ram Lalla, 56 types of ‘Bhog’ were offered which will be distributed among devotees. A Deepostsav will also be held in the temple.
