Bhopal: Faizan, Sahil, Sameer who tied up Hindu man Vijay on a leash and made him bark like a dog get arrested, houses to be bulldozed

On Monday, June 19, a distressing video surfaced from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, wherein five men were seen brutally assaulting and harassing a man named Vijay with communal slurs, and lewd, abusive comments. As the video went viral, the police had registered a case and begun an investigation.

The victim was identified as a Hindu man named Vijay. Vijay was tied up on a leash and was forced to bark like a dog.

As per the latest reports, 3 of the men who harassed and assaulted Vijay have been identified and arrested.

Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Chouhan has taken cognizance of the issue and has stated that the administration will take strict action against the culprits and their illegal residences will be bulldozed. Reports say the NSA will be slapped against the culprits who are wanted criminals.

Speaking to the media, MP home minister Narottam Mishra has stated that such incidents won’t be tolerated. He added that he had promised exemplary action within 24 hours, but the police arrested the accused within 4-6 hours. He added that NSA has been slapped against the accused.

Mishra added that such incidents are a result of a disgusting criminal mindset and the action will be so severe that it will send a message to all criminals in the state. He also added that bulldozers will be brought to demolish the houses of the culprits.

In the video that went viral on Twitter, the five accused made the victim kneel down like a dog and tied a noose around his neck. They forced him to bark like a dog and seek forgiveness. The accused are also used abusive slurs for the victim’s mother and sister and thrashed him mercilessly.

Madhya Pradesh: Couple murdered, dead bodies thrown into crocodile-infested Chambal river in horrific ‘honour killing’ case

In a horrific incident, a man named Rajpal Singh Tomar murdered his 18-year-old daughter Shivani Tomar and her 21-year-old partner, Radheshyam Tomar, on June 3 in a case of honour killing at Ratanbasai village in Morena, Madhya Pradesh. The dead bodies of Shivani and Radheshyam were then dumped into the Chambal River after being weighed down with heavy stones.

A case has been recorded in the Ambah police station regarding the murders. The incident occurred about two weeks ago when Shivani’s family along with some relatives allegedly shot the duo dead and disposed of their bodies.

Shivani’s family objected to the fact that the two were from the same caste and strongly opposed their relationship. The boy was a native of the neighbouring village of Balupura. When his father filed a report that the pair is missing for several days with the suspicion that he may have been murdered, the police started looking into the complaint and eventually learned about the horrific incident. Meanwhile, Rajpal Singh Tomar, on June 3, lodged a missing complaint at the Ambah police station about his daughter as well.

The young couple was missing since June 3, which prompted the boy’s family to repeatedly accuse the girl’s family of killing them. People linked to the latter were apprehended by police and interrogated in-depth. Rajpal Singh Tomar and a number of female accomplices later admitted that their daughter and Radheshyam Tomar had both been shot dead on June 3 and that their bodies had been dumped in the Chambal River in the dark.

“Sustained probe and questioning of both families finally saw the girl’s father Rajpal Singh Tomar spill the beans about having murdered Shivani and Radheyshyam, after catching them together. Both bodies were subsequently dumped in the Chambal river,” informed Sub-divisional Officer Police (SDOP) in Morena district, Parmal Singh Mehra.

Radheyshyam Tomar’s family claimed that he eloped with the girl last month and that they were later discovered in the state of Uttar Pradesh. They were forewarned by the girl’s father to convince their son to ‘rectify’ his behaviour and find another place to live when he called them on June 1.

According to Morena Superintendent of Police Shailendra Singh Chouhan, divers are being used to locate their bodies in the areas identified by the accused family. “We have not yet discovered anything. The search is on”, the police officer said. After learning of the crime, police sent out a State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team and divers to look for the deceased in the river.

Police maintained that unless the bodies are discovered, they cannot conclusively prove the murder. Additionally, police disclosed that there is no proof of the use of guns by the perpetrators. They also proclaimed that due to the likelihood of predation by aquatic animals like fish and crocodiles, it is growing harder to obtain the bodies after 15 days since they were discarded in the river.

After people criticize Adipurush dialogues and plot, writer Manoj Muntashir seeks security from Mumbai Police

Adipurush dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir has sought security from the Mumbai Police after facing heavy criticism and trolling from the people over the dialogues in the movie.

As per reports, Muntashir has submitted an application with Mumbai Police stating that he pertains a security risk. The Mumbai Police are reportedly investigating the alleged security threats.

Popular lyricist Manoj Muntashir has been receiving a lot of criticism and condemnation over the uncouth dialogues in the Adipurush movie.

People have been outraged because Ramayana characters are shown uttering loutish, indecent dialogues in the movie.

Muntashir had tried to defend the dialogues, saying the movie was not exactly Ramayana but an adaptation, and the dialogues were written keeping in mind the modern young audience.

However, his excuses fail to placate the public, and thousands of social media posts condemned the dialogues, especially those attributed to Lord Hanuman.

Following widespread outrage, the movie makers announced that they would change the controversial dialogues immediately. Following public outrage and dissatisfaction over cheap VFX and complaints of distasteful visual depictions of beloved religious characters, many prominent politicians and influencers have condemned the movie.

The movie has raked in Rs 340 crores in 3 days riding on the Ramayana hype.

Will not allow anyone’s religious sentiments to be hurt: IB minister Anurag Thakur assures to oversee revision of dialogues of Adipurush

Information and Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur, has responded to the controversy surrounding the recently released movie Adipurush and assured that the disturbing dialogues of the movie are changed.

Om Raut’s movie has been receiving criticism from all quarters due to its depiction of Ramayan and the language used by the characters in the movie based on Ramayana, especially lines spoken by the character of Hanuman.

Speaking to ANI, Anurag Thakur said that the CBFC has taken the decision needed. He also said that the writer and the director have also agreed to change some of the dialogues in the film and nobody is allowed to hurt the sentiments of people. He added that religious sentiments will not be hurt under his watch and that he will oversee the changes in the dialogues.

A day after defending the dialogues, Manoj Muntashir assured to change them

Notably, following widespread criticism, Muntashir announced on Sunday that the problematic dialogues of Adipurush will be revised within this week itself. He shared this announcement through his official Twitter handle. However, he claimed that the team created Adipurush for Sanatan Seva, which audiences are seeing in large numbers and will keep seeing in the future as well.

This followed a day after he had defended the dialogues after there was massive outrage over the language used by the characters in the movie based on Ramayana, especially lines spoken by the character of Hanuman.

Released on the 16th of June, Adipurush has found itself stuck in one controversy after another. At the centre of it lies the ‘problematic’ dialogues including those attributed to Hanuman, named Bajrang in Adipurush.

Manoj Muntashir defended the dialogues

Earlier, Manoj Muntashir had defended the use of uncivilized dialogues, claiming that a very meticulous thought process has gone into writing the dialogues. In an interview given to Republic, he had said that it was not an error, and it was done deliberately. He stated that he wrote the dialogues keeping the ‘modern, contemporary’ speaking styles of the general public in the country.

Talking on Lallantop, he even went on to compare the controversy with the opposition faced by poet Tulsidas for writing Ramcharitmanas in the Awadhi language instead of Sanskrit.

What is the controversy surrounding Adiprush?

Adipurush makers drew flakes from fans and the general public alike for using uncouth language in Adipurush. Several dialogues of Adipurush went viral on social media where netizens claimed that they demeaned, trivialised Hindu Mahakavya Ramayana, and hurt the sentiments of Hindus.

In the film, there are several characters that have used street-level language like “Bete”, “Tere Baap ki Jali” and ”Bua ka Bagicha” among others. A few of those dialogues are as follows –

Earlier, Muntashir defended his approach and asserted that he intentionally crafted relatable dialogues to connect with the audience. The makers also claimed that they had not altered the original Ramayana. However, when the controversy spiralled they claimed that Adipurush is not an adaptation of Ramayana rather it is heavily inspired by Ramayana.

Despite intense criticism and fans registering their protests, Adipurush has entered Rs 200 crore club.

Gita Press turns down Rs 1 crore cash reward included with the Gandhi Peace Prize 2021

On Monday, Gita Press, Gorakhpur, declined the cash reward of Rs 1 crore that is included with the Gandhi Peace Prize 2021. The publisher stated that it would only accept the citation and not the cash reward.

Reportedly, the publisher has suggested that the Central government should spend this cash reward on some other worthy cause.

Apart from the cash prize of Rs 1 crore, the Gandhi Peace Prize also includes a plaque and an exquisite traditional handicraft/handloom item.

Gita Press conferred with Gandhi Peace Prize 2021

A day earlier, on the 18th of June, a jury headed by PM Modi unanimously decided to confer the Gandhi Peace Prize 2021 on Gita Press, which is based out of Gorakhpur.

In its official statement, the Cultural Ministry stated that this was done to recognise Geeta Press’ outstanding contribution towards social, economic, and political transformation through non-violent and other Gandhian methods.

From his official Twitter handle, PM Modi congratulated Gita Press for being selected for the Gandhi Peace Prize 2021.

The Prime Minister wrote, “They have done commendable work over the last 100 years towards furthering social and cultural transformations among the people.”

Gita Press was founded in 1923 by Jaya Dayal Goyanka and Ghanshyam Das Jalan for promoting the principles of Sanatana Dharma. Currently, they publish copies of Shrimad Bhagvad Gita, Mahabharata, Ramayana, Ramcharitmanas, various Hindu scriptures like Puranas and Upanishads, other books related to Hinduism, books of Bhajans and Bhakta-Gathas, and others.

The texts are published in several languages including Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi, English, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Bengali, Oriya, and other Indian languages.

Congress and pseudo-seculars got miffed over this announcement

The announcement of awarding the Gandhi Peace Prize 2021 to one of the world’s largest publishers, Gita Press, didn’t go down well with Congress and its so-called left-liberal ecosystem. Congress General Secretary in-charge Communications and MP Jairam Ramesh took to Twitter to condemn the selection. He called the move a “travesty” and equivalent to “awarding Savarkar and Godse”.

The history of Gita Press turning down donations and cash rewards

This is not the first time that Gita Press has refused to accept cash rewards. It has been turning down requests for donations despite relentless fake news and smear campaigns about its financial health.

From time to time, certain vested interest groups have been floating the rumour of Gita Press shutting down because of financial constraints. Back in 2021, OpIndia busted these fake stories and rumours about Gita Press closing down its operations.

Talking to OpIndia, Lalmani Tiwari, the Manager of Gita Press had said, “If someone sends us a cheque as a donation, we humbly reply to them with a letter of appreciation and return the cheque. Gita Press Gorakhpur is doing well, and we prefer to serve the community with our books.”

Till now, Gita Press has published 41.7 crore books in 14 different languages including 16.21 crore copies of Shrimad Bhagvad Gita.

Kuttey ki tarha bhaunk, bol teri maa unki maa: Faizan and gang put Vijay on lease and ask him to bark like a dog, family allege forced conversion

On Monday, June 19, a distressing video surfaced from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, wherein five youths are seen subjecting another youth to brutal harassment and torture. The accused have been identified as Faizan, Bilal, Sameer, Mufid, and Sahil, while the victim is a Hindy boy named Vijay.

In the video that went viral on Twitter, the five accused made the victim kneel down like a dog and tied a noose around his neck. They are forcing him to bark like a dog and seek forgiveness. The accused are also heard using abusive slurs for the victim’s mother and sister and thrashing him mercilessly.

In the 50-second video that quickly went viral on social media, one of the five accused can be seen holding the leash as others ask Vijay to apologise. They yell and ask Vijay to bark like a dog while seeking forgiveness.

“Ask forgiveness. Bark like a dog. Bhaagna nahi (Don’t run) Whatever Sahil bhai is saying, just do that,” someone from the group can be heard saying in the video.

The visibly petrified youth, in a black shirt, can be seen pleading in the video. “Sahil Bhai mere baap hai, mere bade bhai hai (Sahil is my father. He is my elder brother). Meri maa unki maa, unki maa meri maa (His mother is my mother and my mother is his mother),” the youth says.

Repeatedly asked to say sorry, the youth says, “I have said sorry. I have not done anything.”

Asked who asked him to upload the story, the youth replies, “I did not upload it..did that at the behest of Shahrukh. He threatens me.”

Victim’s family says he was forced to eat meat, convert and rob his own house by Sahil and his gang

A report by India Today has quoted the victim, Vijay’s family alleging that the accused led by one Sahil forced him to consume drugs, eat meat and convert to Islam. They have also alleged that the accused coerced the victim to rob his own house.

The report claimed that the victim’s family added that police did not file a complaint when the victim’s brother approached the cops.

Madhya Pradesh HM Narottam Mishra orders probe

Reacting to the distasteful, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said, “I have seen that video. This kind of behaviour is really condemnable. I have ordered the Bhopal police commissioner to investigate the video. Instructions were given to submit the report on the video in 24 hours.”

Meanwhile, after the video went viral, the police filed an FIR under relevant sections of the IPC and anti-conversion law.

Members of Bajrang Dal staged a protest outside Jamalpura police station, raised ‘Jai Shree Ram’ slogans and sought strict action against the accused.

The family of the accused has, however, refuted all the allegations.

Pakistan: Blasphemy accused to be tried under terrorism charges too, government bows down before TLP demands

Pakistan is all set to charge the people accused of blasphemy under terrorism laws in addition to its penal code. The move has further cemented the South Asian state’s position as one of the most extremist and illiberal places in the world.

The government of Pakistan has conceded to the demands of the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), which signed a deal with the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government led by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday. The Islamist group winded up its 25-day-long march protest in Sarai Alamgir, Gujrat district, around 200 kilometers from Lahore following the development. It started its “Pakistan Bachao March” from Karachi on May 22, with Islamabad being the final destination.

Rana Sanaullah, the federal interior minister, claimed that the government had acceded to ‘all legitimate’ TLP demands, including those relating to blasphemy legislation. The administration agreed to book anyone suspected of blasphemy and charged under Section 295-C (use of disparaging language, etc., in regard to the Holy Prophet) of the Pakistan Penal Code under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), 1997, as part of a twelve point agreement reached on Saturday with the outfit.

It was signed by federal ministers Rana Sanaullah and Sadar Ayaz Sadiq from the government’s side and Dr. Mohammad Shafiq Amini and Allama Ghulam Abbas Faizi from TLP.

He informed, “Speedy trials of the blasphemy accused will be ensured. For the first time, a Counter Blasphemy Wing (CBW) will be established under the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).” He added that the government would take action to prohibit offensive social media posts. The fundamentalist force has now also acquired political weight owing to the Shehbaz Sharif government’s decision to publish a letter declaring that the former is not a terrorist organization.

The latter has agreed to drop all political cases brought against TLP members and leaders along with removing the restriction on its broadcast and social media coverage. The PML-N leader noted that the TLP leaders whose names are withdrawn from the Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997’s Fourth Schedule will have the right to travel about as they like and the administration will provide instructions to provincial governments for the same.

Amnesty International and several international organizations have maintained that Pakistan’s blasphemy laws are frequently applied to people who belong to religious minorities particularly Hindus and other marginalised groups who are often falsely accused. They are now in a situation that is even more perilous and vulnerable as a result of the recent occurrence.

Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan coined “Sar Tan Se Juda”

Islamists in India have mastered the use of street protests and violence to accomplish their demands and instill terror in anyone who would dare to state unfavorable truths. However, recent rallies have escalated, growing more violent and incorporating the ominous chant “Sar Tan Se Juda,” which has come to characterize the anti-blasphemy wrath raging throughout the entire country.

The cry of “Gustakh-e-Rasool ki ek hi saza, sar tan se juda,” which translates to “There is only one punishment for disrespecting Prophet Muhammad, their head separated from their torso,” has become a staple of violent protests that have so far claimed the lives of multiple Hindus, including Kamesh Tiwari in Lucknow, Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur and Umesh Kolhe in Amravati.

Following what they perceived as ‘blasphemy’ against the Prophet Muhammad, Muslim extremists turned to brutal attacks against innocent Hindus which was encouraged by the dog-whistling of Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair against former Bharatiya Janata Party spokeswoman Nupur Sharma.

Notably, the slogan which has now become a regular feature of Muslim demonstrations in India has its roots in Pakistan. Salman Taseer, the governor of Pakistan’s Punjab province, was assassinated in 2011 by Malik Mumtaz Hussain Qadri, his personal bodyguard, who disapproved of the former’s opposition to the country’s blasphemy law and referred to his gruesome action as a religious duty.

Mumtaz Hussain Qadri was found guilty and condemned to death by the court. He was hanged on 29 February 2016 and protests began immediately by Sunni organizations all over the country against the execution. On March 1, 2016, Mumtaz Qadri’s funeral was held at Liaqat National Bagh in Rawalpindi and over 100,000 people attended, including former federal minister Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi.

The founder of TLP Maulana Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi, praised Mumtaz Qadri for killing Salman Taseer and dubbed him a “Ghazi” (Muslim warrior) for the horrific crime. Thousands of people cheered the latter as a hero and raised aggressive slogans against the former governor in a procession led by the Islamic leader. The two main slogans were “Rasool Allah, Rasool Allah” and “Gustakh-e-Rasool ki ek hi saza, sar tan se juda, sar tan se juda.”

Although the maulana passed away in 2020, his slogans continue to be used by Muslim extremists in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh who often advocate for the execution of anyone who they believe has insulted or mocked the Prophet Muhammad in any way. In a sense, he provided them with a model by approving the execution of people who were deemed ‘guilty’ of blaspheming the Prophet of Islam.

Indian Intelligence agencies say Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar and Avtar Khanda together masterminded attacks on Indian High Commissions

On June 18 (local time), the dreaded Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot dead in Surrey, Canada four days after, Khalistani terrorist Avtar Khanda mysteriously died in a UK Hospital. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the Indian Intelligence agencies have now confirmed that Khanda and Nijjar worked together to organise protests outside Indian high commissions and also sponsored terror attacks in India.

According to some reports, Avtar Khanda and Hardeep Singh Nijjar had a falling out, and as a result, Nijjar allegedly killed Khanda. The Canadian police are probing these reports of rivalry suspecting Avatar Khanda’s elimination to be a revenge killing, reports India Narrative.

Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was declared a wanted terrorist by the Indian government. In 2022, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) declared a Rs 10 lakh reward on Nijjar after his name appeared in a conspiracy to kill a Hindu priest in Jalandhar, Punjab. Nijjar was the chief of the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), which was behind the conspiracy to kill the Hindu priest and was also the director of banned terrorist outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ). He had played a key role in organising the Khalistan referendum in Brampton city.

Last week in the UK, Khalistani terrorist Avtar Singh Khanda, chief of the banned Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF), died in a hospital on Thursday. It is suspected that Khanda was poisoned. However, some media reports say that he was suffering from blood cancer.

Khanda was arrested in London for masterminding the attack on the Indian High Commission building. Khanda, on March 19, climbed onto the balcony of the Commission, brought down the Indian national flag and tried to install the Khalistani flag.

He was a close associate of Khalistani terrorist Parmjit Singh Pamma and is behind the radicalisation of Sikh youths overseas. It also said that he was the ‘main handler’ of ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief and radical Khalistani separatist, Amritpal Singh. He wass in fact, the link between Amritpal and Pakistan’s (Inter-Services Intelligence) ISI, as per reports.

In fact, in March 2023, following the attack on the Indian High Commission Building in London, the Indian government has told the UK administration that people involved in the acts of attack and vandalism should be deported. Avtar Singh Khanda Harjeet Singh, Manroop Singh, Mandeep Singh, and Rajinder Singh were recognised by British authorities in London.

Notably, Khanda had been living in the UK for several years on an Indian passports and had applied for asylum in the UK under the pretext of ‘political persecution.’

Attack on Indian High Commission in London

On March 19 evening, pro-Khalistani elements barged into the Indian High Commission in London and tried to remove the tricolour from the premises.

In the video that came to light, a mob of Khalistanis could be seen staging a protest outside the Indian High Commission. Amidst chants of ‘Khalistan Zindabad’, a man sporting an orange turban was seen scaling the walls of the building and pulling down the Indian flag.

He then waved the Khalistani flag jubilantly while Indian officials at the building seized the tricolour from the man. Some of the Khalistanis were also spotted holding a poster of ‘fugitive’ Amritpal Singh.

As per a report by CNN-News 18, the local police in London were alerted about the Khalistani ambush at the Indian High Commission building but the authorities did not send a police team.

Following the lapse in security from the local metropolitan police in London, India had strongly condemned the incident and raised the issue with the UK government demanding strict action against the perpetrators.

Congress and AAP supporters use fake video from Myanmar to paint Christians as victims in Manipur: Here is a fact-check

On June 19, Congress supporters used a fake video from Myanmar to paint Christians as victims in Manipur. In a now-deleted tweet, Congress supporter Manish Kumar wrote, “Manipur is out of the hands of Modi and Shah. Videos have come to light where the armed citizen is assaulting a young Christian girl, and in the end, they shoot her dead. Manipur is burning, and Modi is silent.” Though Manish has deleted the tweet, its archive can be checked here.

Aam Aadmi supporters shared the same video with the same text. Kailash Meena of Thanagazi, who is AAP’s state joint secretary from Rajasthan, shared the video with exact same text. By the time this report was published, Meena had not deleted the fake video. It archive can be checked here.

Twitter user BefittingFacts debunked the claims. He replied to the now-deleted Tweet, “This is an old video from Myanmar. As you are a Congressi, let me tell you, Myanmar is not in India.”

Upon research, we found that the video was from June 2022. ‘Mizzima – News in Burmese’ published a report on the video on December 5, 2022. The report in Burmese noted that the incident occurred on December 3 in the evening. A group of men and women in guerrilla uniforms were seen beating and punching a handcuffed young woman.

After the expose, Manish was seen threatening netizens for publishing screenshots of his now-deleted Tweets. Quoting iAnkurSingh, he said, “Sir, do not misuse my picture. I tweeted the wrong video and deleted it. Now you are intruding on my privacy. You will face a case under IT Act. You should not have used my profile.”

Though he deleted the tweet, Manish had retweeted multiple tweets that quoted him. Those RTs were not removed by him.

Notably, the Left-liberals are peddling a narrative to target Hindu Meiteis and paint Christians as victims in the conflict among Kuki and Meitei communities in Manipur.

For example, Kavita Krishnan shared a report published in The Hindu claiming, “Meitei women blockade roads so that mobs can massacre Kukis undisturbed. “Even if the affected villagers make distress calls, the forces are unable to reach”. That cliche about women wanting peace & love, unlike violent men, isn’t ever true.”

She added that the report was not misrepresented by the “mainland media”, but it was a ground report that also pointed out that Kukis were blockading roads obstructing the supply of essentials into the state. However, she added, “But blockades to facilitate ethnic cleansing are in no way comparable to chakka jams,” giving a sort of clean chit to Kukis.
