Taiwan dismisses Pakistan’s claims of US missile in F16 coming from their inventory

Debunking Pakistan’s allegations, Taiwan asserted that it has not transferred any US-built missiles to India. The Pakistani media had alleged that the wreckage of the missile in possession with the Indian Armed Forces which was shot by Pakistani F-16s is actually a missile sold to them by Taiwan.

However, as per reports, Taiwan’s Air Force has confirmed that the identification numbers of missile used by the F-16 and ones owned by them did not match. The Air Force of Taiwan ran immediate checks and ascertained that the identification number of the missile reported by the Pakistan Daily did not match any of its missiles, and were not compatible with any of its weapons systems.

The Express Tribune had reported that the remains of a missile in possession of the Indian government could have come from a missile sold by the U.S. to Taiwan. The report also claimed to have tracked the identification numbers of missile AIM-120C-5 AMRAAM, to a U.S. Department of Defense list naming the missile as part of a USD 2.38-million arms deal with Taiwan. Their lies were soon busted.

Taiwan has rubbished the claims made by the Pakistan Daily and asserted that the kind of weapons and missiles supplied by the US were for its self-defense and not for sale to other countries.

Media reports from Taiwan have also reportedly stated that the contract number FA8675-05-C-0070 on the AMRAAM part which was presented on Thursday by the Joint Forces officials in India was of the sale of the aircraft to Pakistan by the United States.

The US has sought more information from Pakistan about the use of its fighter aircraft F-16s against India. The issue is of significant importance to the US as according to the end-user agreement signed between the US and Pakistan, F-16s can be used to destroy terror camps, not against other countries.

Pakistan is insistent on its claim that it had not used US-built F-16s in the dogfight with the IAF which resulted in the capture of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. The Indian government claims that the seizure of the remains of the air-to-air AMRAAM missile suggest otherwise as it is only carried by F-16s in Pakistan’s combat fleet.

ED tracks Christian Michel’s money trail, leads them straight to Kamal Nath’s brother-in-law’s company

The AgustaWestland chopper scam’s story has been unfolding at a fast pace. Michel had made some startling revelations about one ‘Mrs Gandhi’, ‘Italian Lady’s son, R’ and the inside information he could gather from sources like the PMO and the investigative agencies. Now it appears that there is a new entrant in the AgustaWestland scam. Reportedly, ED tracked down the money trail of kickbacks received by Christian Michel and it has led them to Moser Baer which is owned by Deepak Puri, who is close to senior Congress leader Kamal Nath.

According to CNN News 18, a part of the kickbacks was routed through Moser Baer which is owned by Deepak Puri. Deepak Puri is the brother-in-law of senior Congress leader Kamal Nath. Puri is married to Nita Puri , sister of Senior Congress Leader and Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mr Kamal Nath and have one son Ratul Puri. Both Nita and Ratul are part of Moser Baer.

The Directors of Moser Baer are both Nita Puri and Deepak Puri, the sister and brother-in-law of Kamal Nath.

Directors of Moser Baer

In his 2014 election affidavit, Kamal Nath had declared that he held 6450 shares in Moser Baer of Rs 10 market value each.

In fact, in 2017, Moser Baer had shut its plan and laid off over 2000 employees, allegedly, without clearing their dues. A portal called ‘Ten News’ had spoken to the staff of the plan who had directly named Puri and Kamal Nath. One had alleged that Kamal Nath, during UPA 1 had favoured Deepak Puri and the company now going under is the result of that.

In fact, Moser Baer Solar Limited had incurred a huge debt most of it while Kamal Nath was the commerce minister. Among the creditors are Punjab National Bank (Rs 401.65 crore), State Bank of India (Rs 276.87 crore), Central Bank of India (Rs 117.08 crore), Union Bank of India (Rs 77.69 crore), Indian Overseas Bank (Rs 223.02 crore), Exim Bank (Rs 228.20 crore), Bank of Baroda (Rs 69.24 crore) and Oriental Bank of Commerce (Rs 849.94 crore).

In the financial year 2013, Moser Baer Solar had sought restructuring of Rs 956 crore of debt but the recast failed.

The Directors of Moser Baer Solar also included Deepak Puri, Kamal Nath’s brother in law and Nita Puri, Kamal Nath’s sister.

Michel was extradited to India on 4 December from United Arab Emirates (UAE). Recently it was also unearthed that, Christian Michel’s involvement was not only restricted to AgustaWestland scam. He had also lobbied against France-based Rafale in order to enable Eurofighter, its rival, to grab the MMRCA deal. On 5th January, the Patiala House Court had extended Michel’s judicial custody till February 26.

Christian Michel, the middleman in the AgustaWestland VVIP Chopper scam, who was extradited from Dubai, has been spilling the beans and his correspondence from the time when this deal was in consideration has made some stunning revelations. Earlier, it was reported how Michel had access to Cabinet Meetings, Cabinet Committee on Security meetings and the then PMO under Manmohan Singh. It has now emerged that he also had access to investigative agencies, reported Economic Times.

Prime Minister Modi urges the Leuwa Patel community to come forward and support the farmers

Prime Minister Modi, while laying the foundation stone for the Annapurna Mata temple in Adalaj, Gujarat, urged the industrialists of the community to come forward and help the farmers getting better value for their produce.

“The world looks up to us. World’s tallest statue is that of Sardar Patel today. When AMUL began its white revolution, people from the Leuwa Patel community were the first to take the initiative and look at how it is successful. If 5-15 people from the community can take an initiative to build AMUL which has benefitted everyone, why can’t few take up an initiative to connect to farmers?” PM Modi said.

“If few industrialists here could set up food processing units to benefit farmers, imagine the infinite wealth it could create for them. Food processing and value addition increase the value of produce. Chillies from Shertha are popular, but the same chillies dried and turned red are even more valuable. Similarly, the value increases if the dried red chillies are turned into red chilli powder,” he said while urging the industrialist community to come forward to help the farmers and ease their distress.

Lauding the farmer community of Leuwa Patel, PM Modi said, “Jevo bhakt, eva bhagwan, jo bhakt pehelwan hoy, to bhagwan hanuman (God is as good as his devotees. If a devotee is a pehelwan, God would be Hanuman). If devotee worships knowledge, God would be Saraswati. If devotee worships wealth, God would be Lakshmi. In our society, the community that has done the most in terms of providing nourishment, it is the farmer community. And if you speak of a farmer in Kathiawar region, then that farmer is most likely a Leuwa Patel. Hence, they worship Annapurna Mata.”

‘Peacenik’ Imran Khan and his anti Hindu ministers: Ghazwa-e-Hind, Jihad against Hindus are the central theme in Pakistan’s politics

On February 28th, the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced that Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman will be released as a ‘peace gesture’. The Indian liberal ‘peacenik’ industry predictably saw a ‘hero’ in Imran Khan, who according to them had shown mercy to Indian Air Force pilot.

All the grandstanding and bravado over the ‘peace gesture’ claimed by both the Pakistani establishment and the Indian liberals was soon exposed to be a farce, as the inherent hatred of the Pakistani government ministers against Hindus and India is being gradually exposed.

The fervent anti-Indian or anti-Hindu narrative in Pakistan is not a new phenomenon. The idea of Pakistan was itself premised on the eternal hatred towards Hindus, however, it has grown gradually in the last few decades due to various politico-religious reasons. The Pakistani establishment aided by its ‘deep state’ often becomes very enthusiastic about ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’, one of the lunacies peddled by radical Islamists to fool terror recruits into believing that killing Hindus and waging war against India is their religious duty.

In recent decades, as Pakistan’s socio-economic status kept declining among the countries who had also gained freedom or were formed around the same time, the Ghazwa-e-Hind narrative became another one of the easy tools for Pakistani politicians to justify their policies and hide their failures.

Even as Imran Khan has continued his hollow statements about peace and ‘talks’, many of his ministers have been betraying the real face of Pakistan’s politics where radicalism, hatred against Hindus and India is all they have to show for 70 years of their existence.

Journalist Swati Goel Sharma has listed some of the instances where ‘peace-loving’ Imran Khan’s ministers were found peddling rabid Hindu-hatred and propagating the ideas of India’s annihilation. As mentioned in an article in the Swarajya Magazine co-authored by Swati, the hatred against Hindus and India runs deep in many politicians currently holding power in Pakistan.

Shockingly, one of his ministers, Ali Muhammad Khan openly called ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’, the last holy war against Hindus and India, by invoking Islamic invaders Muhammad bin Qasim and Mahmood of Ghazni. Ali Muhammad Khan, who is the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs in Pakistan had claimed that Pakistanis were the descendants of Islamic invaders in India and had warned India of “Ghazwa-e-Hind”.

Fayaz-ul-Hasan Chohan, another minister in Imran Khan’s government, in a recent speech called Hindus as “cow urine drinkers”. Interestingly, the phrase ‘cow urine drinkers’ is commonly used to target Hindus not only by Islamists, terrorists but also it has become a ‘fanciful’ term for Indian liberals to either refer Hindus or anybody who is critical of them.

The term ‘cow urine drinkers’ was also used by Jaish terrorist Adil Ahmad Dar before he had hit the CRPF convoy in Pulwama. In a hurry to show their hatred towards Hindus and its culture, the Indian liberal cabal has often knowingly or unknowingly has played to the hands of the Islamists, which the latter has successfully utilised to create a divide in the Indian society as a part of achieving their objective of ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’.

On 19 February, Pakistani railways minister Sheikh Rasheed had threatened Indians and the Hindus with a nuclear war and had claimed that no bells would sound in Indian temples. “If anyone will stare at Pakistan with an evil eye, his eye will be gouged out, and then no grass will grow, no birds will chirp, and no bells will sound in temples, as Pakistan is that bastion of Muslims that Muslims from the world over look up to,” said the senior minister in a video uploaded by him.

In fact, Rasheed had also opposed the release of Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman. He had appealed to every Muslim to join “Jihad”. “Doing Jihad is mandatory in Islam. If a Muslim does not do Jihad, he is no longer a Muslim,” he had said. In an earlier video, Rasheed had said that not only 22 crore Muslims but 30 crores Muslims on Indian side too would rise against Modi in the name of Islam.

Shahbaz Sharif, a younger brother of Nawaz Sharif, during his speech in a parliament session during the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, had called Indian PM Narendra Modi as “terrorist” and claimed he had martyred thousands of Muslims in Gujarat. The rant against Hindus and Indians is not just limited to politicians but to the so-called intelligentsia of Pakistan, who are aroused lately to express their contempt towards the Hindus.

Orya Maqbool Jan, known to be an intellectual in Pakistan, while discussing the Pulwama terror attacks, claimed that Hindus were enemies of Muslims as it is described as such in the Islamic holy book of Quran and Hadith. Maqbool further said that the main issue is that confrontation between Hindus and Muslims is bound to happen. “It hasn’t happened until now, but when it shall happen, twenty-three crore Muslims will cease to be Indian nationals,” said Maqbool.

Hassan Nisar, another veteran journalist while speaking about the possibility of nuclear attacks had said that even if Pakistan is destroyed during a nuclear conflict, Muslims elsewhere in the world will survive but if India is attacked, Hindus will cease to exist. “It’s okay if you want to attack us. If you dream to turn the entire region into ash, then it’s fine. We have 50 (Islamic) countries in the name of God, but you don’t have an existence beyond yours,” he said.

Most importantly, Imran Khan, the flag-bearer of peace is no different. An anecdote of Former Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan and one of the most prominent diplomats of our times, G Parthasarathy gives an idea regarding the dubious nature of Pakistani PM Imran ‘Taliban’ Khan’s idea of peace towards India.

Parthasarathy had shared an incident, “This was in 1982. A friend of mine, a Pakistani cricket commentator called Chisti Mujahid, who is no longer alive, asked him, Imran, why is it when I saw you were bowling against England, it was okay, you were bowling well, but when it is against India it is fire and brimstone?’ Imran’s reply? “Well, when we play against India, I don’t see this game as cricket. I think of Kashmir, and regard it as a jihad.”

Imran Khan’s Taliban connections and open support for religious fanatics indulged in terrorist activities is an open secret. In their haste to discredit the Modi government and hail Imran Khan as the hero, even many of India’s liberals have been ignoring the fact that his government scrambled fighter jets to invade Indian airspace in defence of India’s strike against a terrorist camp.

Just the facts that the personalities discussed here are not fringe, but powerful Pakistani politicians and elite citizens give a glimpse of how ‘mainstream’ the ideas like ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’ and ‘Jihad against Hindus’ are in our western neighbour.

As evident by these statements including by its own Prime Minister Imran Khan, the psyche of most of the Pakistani politicians and intelligentsia has always been to hate Hindus and Indians and pave way for ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’. However, Indian liberals, who often uses similar derogatory phrases to target Hindus, has remained silent over Pakistan’s rhetoric of ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’ and ‘Jihad’ against Hindus and Indians.

UPDATE: It has now emerged that Imran Khan, the Pakistan PM has sacked minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan for his anti-Hindu rant.

You went to London for evidence against EVMs, now go to Balakot – Rajyavardhan Rathore fires shot at Sibal

Soon after the Indian Air Force carried out air strikes inside Pakistan’s Balakot, destroying a Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist camp that worked as a jihadi training center, most of Indian’s political opposition has come out parroting Pakistan’s version of statements.

Some of the usually anti-India international media has also picked up the narrative doubting the air strikes and has been continuing Pakistan’s claim that the air strike did not kill any terrorists.

Many of the statements by Indian opposition politicians has found place is Pakistani media propaganda and is being hailed by their politicians who has always been in denial mode over the presence of terrorists on their soil.

Congress leader Kapil Sibal is the latest opposition politician to join the bandwagon.

Kapil Sibal had posted an accusatory tweet asserting that PM Modi is politicising the air strikes as the International media outlets are reporting no evidence of militant losses.

Sibal’s hailing of the version peddled by some of the international media houses ignoring the many international governments and agencies that have confirmed the air strike and supported India for it was called out by union minister Rajyavardhan Rathore.

It is notable here that many of the Congress party’s claims and statements against the Indian government after the air strikes have been hailed and propagated by Pakistan too.

Rathore politely reminded Sibal of the fiasco where he was spotted attending a press conference where some dubious self-proclaimed ‘hacker’ had claimed that Indian EVMs can be hacked, without offering a shred of evidence.

Taking a dig at Sibal, Rathore alleged that he believes the international media while having little faith in the Indian intelligence agencies. He also quipped that just like Sibal had traveled to London to gather evidence against the EVMs, he should also travel to Balakot to verify if the claims made by the Indian agencies are true.

It is notable here that the entire ‘EVM hacking claim’ episode has ended in a colossal embarrassment for Congress and Sibal. The self-proclaimed hacker was also discredited by the very organisations he had claimed to have worked for.

In the aftermath of the Pulwama attack, the Indian Air Force conducted precise air strikes to attack multiple JeM terror camps across the LoC. One of them being in Pakistan’s Balakot. Air Chief Marshal had yesterday confirmed that their strikes had hit at the intended targets. The JeM had itself confirmed about the attacks on its camp in Balakot in its official weekly paper. An audio clip of Masood Azhar’s brother Maulana Amar talking about the Balakot camp being hit has also surfaced.

However, accusing BJP and PM Modi of politicising the air strikes has become a hobby-horse for various opposition leaders when in fact they are the ones who are politicising the incident and undermining the Indian Armed Forces by questioning the authenticity of the strikes and the evidence to support it.

Congress leader Digvijaya Singh downplays Pulwama terror attack, calls it as an ‘accident’

Congress leader Digvijaya Singh today, in a series of tweets, tried to downplay the Pulwama terror attack. He started with a disclaimer that we are proud of our armed forces and have complete faith in them.

He lauds the armed forces for the service they provide in protecting the nation. However, he adds, following the ‘Pulwama accident’, reports in various foreign media regarding the “air strike” have created a doubt in our minds. This has made us question the credibility of the Indian government as well, he adds.

Downplaying terror attacks or absolving the actual terrorists and pinning the blame on someone he doesn’t agree with politically is not something new for Singh. In 2010, months after the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, Digvijaya Singh, along with film maker Mahesh Bhatt and others had launched a book which claimed that the Mumbai terror attacks were an RSS conspiracy. Singh not only downplays the terror attack, but he also toes the Pakistani lines since Pakistan has maintained that the only thing the air strikes destroyed were some trees.

This, coming from a Congress leader is ironic to say the least. Following the ghastly terror attack on the CRPF convoy which claimed lives of 44 soldiers, Goa Congress leader had asked for the proof of terror attack since the ‘body of the terrorist’ was not found. He had even gone on to say that the Pulwama attack was carried out by Prime Minister Modi. Congress supporting abusive troll Sanjukta had also claimed that the Pulwama attack was an inside job. That is not all. Congress President Rahul Gandhi himself was caught on camera dancing just hours after the Pulwama attack. Congress then deleted the video after it was pointed out.

Communal violence, stone pelting in Agra after one group opposes organising Shivratri in the locality

Communal tension flared up in Agra today over placing a Shivling on the occasion of Sihvratri today. The incident happened in the Lohamandi area, where some people from the Balmiki Basti were planning to organise Shivratri on a vacant plot, according to reports. But this was being opposed by a family from a nearby colony.

People from Balmiki Basti claim that the plot is owned by a person named Najul from that colony. But this was contested by one Chasmuddin from the Akhada colony, saying 300 square yard of this plot is his ancestral property. Chasmuddin said that he has papers of the land, and termed the organisation of Shivratri at the place a ploy to encroach upon the land.

Despite the opposition, some youths came and placed the idol to celebrate Shivratri on Monday morning at that plot, which was already cleaned up in advance by them. But this was opposed by Chasmuddin’s side, and soon verbal arguments led to a physical fight between the two sides. Hearing about the confrontation, more people from both the sides arrived and it led to communal conflict in the area, while some persons started pelting stones at the people.

Soon police arrived at the scene to control the situation, but some people continued to fight even in the presence of police, although stone throwers had escaped seeing the police. More police from the nearby Lohamandi, Jagdishpura and Hariparvat police stations were called to contain the violence.

Now police have taken control of the situation and started investigating the case. Police have asked both sides to show ownership documents of the plot, and trying to identify the miscreants who started the fight.

Frame by frame analysis of ABP News’ embarrassing reconstruction of Wing Commander Abhinandan’s captivity in Pakistan

Wing Commander Abhinandan of the Indian Air Force, in his MiG 21 chased a much-advanced F16 of the Pakistani Air Force after it violated Indian airspace. Following the chase, Wg Cmdr Abhinandan’s jet was shot down and after he ejected, he drifted off and landed in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. While the Pakistani army released propaganda videos of him in captivity, very little is known about what exactly transpired. Most of what we know is through the reports in media, some source based and through social media.

As of now the only person who actually knows what happened during those tense hours is Wg Cmdr Abhinandan and the teams which have debriefed him. Amidst all this, ABP News has come up with a dramatic reconstruction of what might have happened after Wg Cmdr landed on the other side of LoC.

Remember when ABP News ‘reconstructed‘ film actor Sridevi’s death last year?

Sridevi’s death reconstructed by ABP News

They have now gone a step further with this dramatic visualisation.

OpIndia analysed this 20-minute long video for you so you don’t have to cringe away in embarrassment.

It starts with a disclaimer that the events are reconstructed on the basis of the ‘eyewitness’ account of those in Pakistan and the videos which have gone viral on social media. It states that the video is an attempt to retell the story of Wg Cmdr Abhinandan to the country.

However, it does not specify that the videos which went viral on social media are propaganda videos created and leaked by the Pakistani army and the ‘eyewitness’ account is also something that is reported in Pakistan media.

Sansani: Abhinandan Ka Pilot Project

The show is titled “Sansani: Abhinandan Ka Pilot Project” which ABP News thinks is a very smart wordplay on pilot and pilot project. Sansani, by the way, means ‘sensational’. Irony just reconstructed itself with tacky graphics. The bearded news anchor in black clothes, who is best known to reconstruct petty crime scenes with psychedelic graphics is extremely enthused about the Sansani.

Actor playing role of Wg Cmdr Abhinandan wakes up

An actor playing the role of a visibly disoriented Wg Cmdr Abhinandan wakes up wrapped in an open parachute.

Actor shows pistol

He is then suddenly surrounded by a few men, wearing caps, and then ‘Abhinandan’ points a gun at them. He asks them whether this is India or Pakistan. The men who had surrounded him tell him it is India.

‘Abhinandan’ says ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’

‘Abhinandan’ at this point cheers, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Jai Hind”. For some uncanny reason, ‘Abhinandan’ looks like Sudhir and Ranjeet from the film Dharmatma.

Sudhir and Ranjeet in the film Dharmatma

Moving on, on seeing blank expressions of the men surrounding him, it dawns upon ‘Abhinandan’ that all might not be right. He then asks a follow-up question that where in India is he? He then gets up and winces in pain as he says he has injured his back.

‘Abhinandan’ is hurt

“I have hurt my back. I may have broken it. can I have some water?” he asks. At this point, the men start sloganeering “Pakistan Army Zindabad’.

‘Pakistan Army Zindabad’

At this point, the realisation dawns upon him and he starts moving backwards. He fires his gun twice towards the sky to scare off the men, who have now picked up stones to throw at him.

Pakistanis pick up stones.

Just Kashmir things. At this point, ‘Abhinandan’ runs… Despite an injured back, a dozen men cannot overpower him and after running for a bit, he finds a waterbody, a lake perhaps, and tries to ‘destroy’ documents by throwing them into the water and trying to eat them.

‘Abhinandan destroys documents’

At this point, the men with stones, who have not yet pelted a single stone in general direction of ‘Abhinandan’ have surrounded him. But, men in army camouflage gear with arms come to his rescue.

‘Abhinandan’ being taken away by Pakistanis

Since even the real Wing Commander Abhinandan wasn’t sure whether these men were indeed the ‘regular’ army, we applaud ABP News’ readiness to take Pakistani propaganda. Also notice how ‘Abhinandan’ is not bleeding, does not have a black eye, does not have his nose broken. One of the propaganda videos actually released by Pakistan shows how mercilessly he was beaten up.

Stone-pelting enthusiasts dejected at ‘Abhinandan’ being taken away

When the men in army camouflage clothes take away ‘Abhinandan’ the men who perhaps wanted to beat him to a pulp were dejected.

Now, the ABP News video tells us how Abhinandan actually ended up in Pakistan. For this, they show a representational video of jets flying. Which is not even the MiG 21 Wg Cmdr Abhinandan was flying. At least this part of the reconstructed video could have been correct since only this part is the confirmed information.

Random jet being shown as MiG 21 which Abhinandan flewMoments later, the stone-carrying men from above are just hanging around and chilling when suddenly they spot something in the sky.

Pakistanis spot something in the sky

“Ae bhaijaan, ae bhaijaan, ae Wasim, jaldi aa. Jaldi dekho. (hey, bro, hey, bro, quick, look at this)” say the curious Pakistani men.

‘Abhinandan”s parachute

It was ‘Abhinandan’s parachute they spotted. The way kids run to catch a kite, these men ran to catch the parachute. Later, they even reconstruct the propaganda video Pakistan had circulate, where an injured soldier was made to parrot things Pakistan wanted to be said.

ABP reconstructs Pakistan propaganda video

And finally, a portion of actual footage of Wg Cmdr Abhinandan returning to India. Someone at ABP took time to count the number of steps Wg Cmdr Abhinandan took while walking from Pakistan side to Indian side at the Wagah border.

ABP News counted number of steps Wg Cmdr Abhinandan took

The video is so atrocious not only because the dramatising is tacky, but it also spreads Pakistani propaganda. Till now, all that there is in the media, especially the part that he was found by locals and that he was ‘rescued’ by Pakistani army from the ‘local men’ who wanted to beat him to a pulp is nothing but Pakistan’s version. There is no official version yet. All this is hearsay and the video featuring Wg Cmdr Abhinandan were Pakistani propaganda videos in violating Geneva Convention.

For ABP News to run this propaganda is shameful to say the least.

Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir

Pakistan has again violated ceasefire in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir. This is another of the ceasefire violations that have taken place in the last few days amidst mounting tensions between India and Pakistan.

The firing reportedly started around 5:30 a.m. with mortars and small arms which was retaliated by the Indian Army.

Ever since the Indian Air Force conducted airstrikes on Jaish-e-Mohammad camp in Balakot, Pakistan has been indulging in repeated unprovoked ceasefire violations along the LoC. On one hand, Pakistani Prime Minister talks of making peace with India, while on the other hand it keeps violating the ceasefire.

A similar ceasefire violation by Pakistan within hours of the Pakistan PM Imran Khan announcing the return of Wing Commander Abhinandan under Geneva Convention, had killed 3 people including a nine-month baby, a five-year-old child and the mother. The father of the children was also injured and severe damage was caused to some houses in the area.

While Pakistani PM Imran Khan keeps harping on establishing peace between the two countries, the frequent ceasefire violations expose the shallowness of Pakistan’s intentions of making peace.

Uttar Pradesh: Hindu Yuva Vahini leader shot dead on Shivaratri in Chitrakoot

0

An incident of firing that claimed the life of a Hindu Yuva Vahini leader has come to light in Ramghat area under Sitapur Chowki in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. Vijay Parashar, former District President of Hindu Yuva Vahini, had come to visit the Shiv temple in Ramghat along with his family. A large number of devotees had also gathered in the Shiv temple to offer prayers on the occasion of Shivratri.

Parashar was sitting in his Safari car parked in a nearby lodge along with some other people when some unidentified persons came riding on a bike and opened fire on him. He succumbed to his injuries and died on the spot. The culprits immediately fled the scene.

According to SP Manoj Kumar, some known persons of Parashar are suspected to be involved in his murder. The police are also investigating a love affair angle.

Chitrakoot is reportedly infamous for the high rate of crime. Incidents of robbery and murder are an everyday affair in the area. Within the last week, two incidents of encounters between the police and the criminals have taken place. In the month of December last year, a jeweller was murdered in the area. One of the murderers was caught by the local people while two others fled the spot in that case.
