Abdul Hameed is named as the main accused in the Bahraich violence. He and his family are accused of shooting and killing Ramgopal Mishra during the violence that broke out during the immersion of Maa Durga idol on October 13.
Authorities have announced that the accused will face charges under the National Security Act (NSA). However, Ram Gopal's family and villagers remain dissatisfied with the police's actions.
Speaking to OpIndia, Kishan said Abdul Hamid and other rioters had planned to make Gopal Mishra's body disappear so the case would have been of a missing person and not murder.
