SP, Congress, others mourn death of convicted gangster Mukhtar Ansari, demand probe: Akhilesh Yadav outrages over criminals dying, calls it ‘anarchy’

Gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari died on Thursday, 28th March, after his health deteriorated in jail. As the news of his death spread, various reactions emerged from different groups. Samajwadi Party, Islamists, and liberals on social media mourned his death. On the other hand, Congress, BSP supremo Mayawati, and the family members of the dead gangster demanded an investigation into the death of the criminal.

From its official X handle, the Samajwadi Party posted, “Sad demise of former MLA Shri Mukhtar Ansari. May his soul rest in peace. May the bereaved family members get the strength to bear this immense sorrow. Humble tribute!”

SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav wrote a long post condemning the UP government for Ansari’s death and demanded an investigation. He equated the deaths of criminals in encounters, during court trials etc as ‘anarchy’.

Samajwadi Party leader Ameeque Jamai demanded an investigation in this case. He said, “We stand with the family of Mukhtar Ansari. Recently he said that he could be murdered anytime, Why he was not given a proper medical facility…We will demand a thorough investigation of the incident.”

Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav posted, “Sad news was received about the demise of former UP MLA Shri Mukhtar Ansari. We pray to God to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear the loss. A few days ago he had complained that he had been poisoned in jail, yet it was not taken seriously. Prima facie this does not seem justifiable and humane. Constitutional institutions should take suo motu cognizance of such strange cases and incidents.”

AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi posted from his X handle, “I pray to Allah to forgive Mukhtar Ansari and give patience to his family and his loved ones. The people of Ghazipur lost their favourite son and brother. Mukhtar Saheb had made serious allegations against the administration that he was poisoned. Despite this, the government did not pay any attention to his treatment. Condemnable and regrettable.”

Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati posted from her X handle, “The persistent apprehensions and serious allegations made by Mukhtar Ansari’s family regarding his death in jail require a high-level investigation so that the facts of his death can be revealed. In such a situation, it is natural for his family to be sad. May nature give them the strength to bear this sorrow.”

Former Bihar MP Pappu Yadav, who has now joined the Congress party posted from his X handle, “This is institutional murder of ormer MLA Mukhtar Ansari. It is like burying law, constitution, natural justice.”

In another post on his X handle, he said, “Chief Justice of the Supreme Court should take suo motu cognizance of this! There should be an impartial investigation within the guidelines of the Supreme Court. He was making allegations for several days that he was being given a slow poison. His MP brother also made this allegation. This is an indelible stain on the constitutional system in the country.”

Another Congress leader Surendra Rajput from Lucknow said, “How accused Mukhtar Ansari died in jail raises serious questions on the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh… There should be a high-level investigation into this incident and this investigation should be conducted under the supervision of a high court judge.”

Mukhtar Ansari’s son raises ‘poisoning’ allegations

Similar allegations regarding the alleged poisoning are raised by the family of the dead gangster Mukhtar Ansari. His son Umar Ansari said, “I was not told anything from the administration side, I came to know about it through the media. But now the whole nation knows everything. Two days ago I came to meet him, but I was not allowed. We said earlier also and even today we will say the same about the allegation of giving slow poison. On 19th March, he was poisoned in the dinner. We will move to the judiciary, we have full faith in it.”

He added, “Post-mortem will be conducted tomorrow, after that, they will give us the body. We will then follow with the further process (cremation). My father alleged being given a slow poison. Around five doctors panel has been made (for carrying out the post-mortem).”

Gangster Mukhtar Ansari was shifted to Banda Medical College Hospital in Banda after he complained about pain in the abdomen. As per the hospital, Ansari died during treatment after suffering a heart attack.

He was admitted to the ICU after the hospitalisation. However, as his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to CCU. The hospital said that a team of 9 doctors were attending him. However, Mukhtar Ansari died during the treatment in hospital.

Mukhtar Ansari – born on 30th June 1963 – was a mafia don who had become a synonym for terror in the entire Uttar Pradesh in the 70s and 80s. Later he entered politics and won assembly elections from Mau five consecutive times. He had even contested and won elections from jail.

‘Baba Gorakhnath’s blessings, maybe also Allah’s justice in Ramzan’: Son of Krishnanand Rai on Mukhtar Ansari’s death, fireworks at former MLA’s house

On 28th March, gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari died after suffering cardiac arrest. Reacting to Ansari’s death, deceased BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai’s son Piyush Rai said that Mukhtar Ansari’s death is truly Baba Gorakhnath’s blessing for his family, maybe even some kind of Allah’s justice in the month of Ramzan.

There were celebratory fireworks at Rai’s house as the news of Ansari’s death came out.

“I have come to know that he has died in Banda jail. As the media is saying he [Ansari] has died due to a heart attack. I believe this is the blessing of Baba Gorakhnath. Justice has been served. Somewhere I think it is Allah’s justice in the holy month of Ramzan that a dreaded criminal like Mukhtar Ansari has died…” Piyush Rai said.

Taking to Facebook, Rai wrote, “Karma ke daayre mein jab tum utaroge, toh uski saza tumhein tadapne tak nhi chhodegi (When you come down from the realm of karma, its punishment will not leave you to suffer)”.

In another post, Piyush Rai shared a video of firecrackers being burst reportedly at his residence in Ghazipur. Rai said that there was an “atmosphere of Diwali” in the Muhammadabad constituency following Ansari’s death.

“Who says that the harmony of Ghazipur will deteriorate #मुहम्मदाबाद378 the assembly, the atmosphere of happiness in Ghazipur, Diwali all night. End of the offender’s guilt ledger. Jai Baba Gorakhnath.” Jai Shri Ram,” Rai posted on Facebook.

Meanwhile, Krishnanand Rai’s nephew Anand Rai has said that “the family of Mukhtar Ansari will now feel the pain that his family went through at the time of his uncle’s murder.”

Reacting to the allegation made by Ansari’s family that the jailed mafia was given slow poison in Banda Jail, Anand Rai said, “Medical bulletin clearly says he died due to heart attack but relatives will put some blame.”

“A sense of happiness has prevailed in the family after waiting for 19 years. He [Mukhtar Ansari] was no saint that some people are giving statements making hue and cry on television. He had 50-60 criminal cases against him out of which around 25-30 were of murder other than kidnapping and other crimes,” Anand Rai said.

Gruesome murder of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai

On the fateful day of 29 November 2005, which the residents of Ghazipur still refer to as ‘Black Day’, the then BJP MLA from Muhammadabad, Krishnanand Rai was murdered while he was attending a wedding in his native village. The killing was one of the most sensational murders in the history of Uttar Pradesh.

A volley of bullets fired at Rai, along with six others in Ghazipur, led to their death. The assassination was carried out by a group of assailants armed with AK-47 assault rifles. The police had recovered more than 400 bullet shells from the spot while 21 bullets were recovered from Rai’s body alone.

Mukhtar Ansari and his brother Afzal Ansari were named as the primary conspirators in the FIR filed in the case. The police investigation also revealed the involvement of gangster Prem Prakash Singh alias Munna Bajrangi, a close associate of the Ansari brothers.

A detailed history of the mafia, his rise in crime and politics, and the eventual downfall under the Yogi Adityanath government can be read here.

Gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari dies of cardiac arrest in UP’s Banda

Gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari died on Thursday, 28th March, after his health deteriorated in jail. Ansari was shifted to Banda Medical College Hospital in Banda after he complained about pain in the abdomen.

According to a bulletin issued by the Rani Durgavati Medical College, 63-year-old Ansari was brought to the hospital by jail authorities and admitted to the emergency department after he had complained of vomiting. He was unconscious when he arrived in the hospital. A team of 9 doctors were involved in his treatment. But despite all the efforts, Ansari passed away as a result of cardiac arrest, the bulletin said.

This is the second time within two days when he was taken to the hospital. Earlier on Tuesday he was hospitalised for around 14 hours in Banda after he complained of abdominal pain. He was discharged on Tuesday and taken back to the jail.

After he was hospitalised last time, Ansari’s brother Afzal Ansari had alleged that Mukhtar Ansari was poisoned in jail by a substance mixed in food. “Mukhtar said that he was given poisonous a substance in food in jail. This happened for the second time. Around 40 days ago also he was given poison. And recently on March 19 of March 22, he was again given this (poison) due to which his condition is bad,” Afzal, an MP from Ghazipur, had said.

Mukhtar Ansari has been behind bars in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh since 2005. The 60-year-old don-turned-politician has over 60 criminal cases pending against him. He has been sentenced in eight cases since September 2022 by different courts of UP and was lodged in the Banda jail. Babbar Khalsa International terror conspiracy: NIA court sentences 4 terrorists including mastermind Kulwinderjeet Singh to life imprisonment

0

In a significant triumph for the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in its battle against terrorist organizations and networks, a specialized court on Thursday handed down life sentences to four militants in a terrorism conspiracy case linked to the proscribed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) group.

The terrorists convicted and sentenced by the court include the chief conspirator, Kulwinderjeet Singh alias Khanpuria, who was involved in many terrorist cases, including a bomb blast at Connaught Place and a grenade attack at Red Fort, Delhi, in the nineties.

He was also wanted in many terrorist cases, including a conspiracy to carry out targeted killings in Punjab.

Khanpuria was found to have masterminded the BKI terror conspiracy in the instant case. He had been absconding since 2019 and was arrested by the NIA at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, on his deportation from Bangkok in November 2022.

He had then been carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh for his arrest and had been declared a proclaimed offender by the NIA court.

NIA investigations had revealed that Khanpuria, along with his handlers and associates, based in India and abroad, had planned and conspired to commit terrorist attacks in India. He later managed to flee from India.

According to the NIA investigation, while Khanpuria was based abroad, he came in contact with Harmeet, alias PhD, and subsequently with wanted Pakistan-based International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF) Chief Lakhbir Singh Rode, who roped him into using his India-based terrorist associates for targeting various identified individuals as well as establishments.

The NIA Special Court in Punjab’s Mohali announced the conviction of Khanpuria along with three other terrorists.

The other three accused, convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment on Thursday, have been identified as Sampuran Singh, Ravinderpal Singh, Jagdev Singh, and Harcharan Singh.

“All four were actively involved in the criminal conspiracy to unleash a wave of terror attacks across the country, with the aim of reviving the terrorist movement in Punjab. To further their nefarious anti-India agenda, they had collected funds, arms, and ammunition, and had also conducted a recce of significant targets, including Dera Sacha Sauda Complex, security-related establishments in the Punjab, and BBMB Office in Chandigarh,” NIA investigations revealed.

NIA had chargesheeted them earlier under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act, and Sections 17, 18, 18 B, 20, 38 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The case was originally registered by Punjab’s Special Operation Cell (SSOC) on May 30, 2019. It was taken over and re-registered by the NIA later, in pursuance of a Ministry of Home Affairs order dated June 26, 2019.

Here is how and why I managed to predict every drama by AAP after the arrest of Kejriwal days in advance: From Bhagat Singh to chest pains

On 28th March, Arvind Kejriwal represented himself for five minutes in Rouse Avenue Courts as his Enforcement Directorate custody ended. ED sought a 7-day extension on his remand while he and his lawyers questioned why he was arrested. But we are here not to discuss what happened in the court but to discuss how and why I managed to predict precisely what his steps will be following ED arrest.

First, come to today’s prediction. As Kejriwal spoke in court, I posted a prediction on X (formerly Twitter) that I thought might become true. I wrote, “Prediction for today: As Arvind Kejriwal is “speaking for himself” in the court, AAP leaders will say “Kejriwal ji reminded us of Bhagat Singh today” referring to his trial after the parliament bombing. They may even use creatives of him with Bhagat Singh’s portraits.”

And behold! AAP did not disappoint me, and a trend appeared on social media within 20 minutes of my post to project Kejriwal as Bhagat Singh. One of the “popular” AAP supporters, supporters who go by the handle DarubaazMehta, started a trend “, Arvind Kejriwal aaj ka Bhagat Singh Hai”, and many of the AAP supporters it.

I literally had the feeling “Kabhi kabhi lagta hai apun hi bhagwan hai“.

Source: X

Another AAP supporter, Aarti, said she did not see Bhagat Singh and asserted he would look like Kejriwal.

There were many other similar posts on social media. Now the question is, was this prediction a fluke? I do not have a strong reason for it. On 27th March, it was reported that diabetic Arvind Kejriwal’s health deteriorated, and his sugar level fell to 46. Interestingly, I wrote soon after his arrest on 21st March, “Prediction for tomorrow: Kejriwal’s sugar will fluctuate, and his counsel will approach the court seeking permission to admit him to hospital.”

Though my prediction went off track by a few days, eventually, it happened. I predicted his health would suffer and expected it to be a headline. It happened. So, how am I able to predict AAP’s next move? Am I an astrologer, or does someone work for me inside AAP? No. There is nothing like that.

I have followed AAP and seen its political campaigns closely since its inception. I received calls from then-AAP supporters to join the crusade and get into power to “change the future of India”, which I politely refused. I am pro-BJP forever, another ‘Sanghi Who Never Went To Shakha’. After over a decade of seeing them dance, predicting AAP’s next move has become easier. AAP as a political party is highly predictable. They play by the textbook of victimhood and present themselves as messiahs who can never do anything wrong.

It is one of the most egoist things a politician can do. After winning a small state that is not an entire state, that is, Delhi, and sweeping Assembly Elections in Punjab, AAP thinks that they are invincible. However, their leadership has conveniently shrugged the fact under the rug that every other state they contested did not vote for them. Let it be Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Uttarakhand or any other state. The voters ignored them. They got some seats in Gujarat only because Congress faded into the state. The case was the same in Punjab. After testing Akali Dal, Congress and BJP, the people of Punjab looked for change. AAP was the only party that looked for an alternative. However, it is hard to expect that AAP will be able to repeat the performance of Assembly Elections in Lok Sabha Elections. People do not vote in General Elections on local matters, and AAP’s future is looking bleak.

Even a non-seasoned political observer like me can see that it is getting harder for AAP to secure any seat in the Lok Sabha elections every day. All of their star campaigners, including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, are in jail. Bhagwant Mann, Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Raghav Chaddha will not be able to draw crowds like Kejriwal could have done.

Kejriwal should have appeared before ED in October 2023 when he received his first summons. It would have been easier for him to stay out of jail. However, Kejriwal and the team thought it would be “krantikari” to avoid summons and make ED run behind them. It has backfired as Kejriwal failed to secure bail a little over two weeks before Lok Sabha polls starting on 16th April 2024.

In contrast to AAP, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) plays the field as per its rules. They could be more predictable, and it is impossible to say what the party will do next whether it be elections or running the government. Notable, it is one of the aspects of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government that has baffled the media fraternity. It is next to impossible to get a whiff of what is cooking inside the government’s office.

AAP is still a young party. They think they have become some big shots in the political landscape but are far from it. AAP usually behaves like a teenager who thinks he is the “know-it-all”. If they survive this election, there is much to learn from the party and its leaders.

To conclude, I predict a Maharashtra-like situation in Punjab soon where most of AAP’s MLAs break off. They may form a new party or in a very unpredictable move, join hands with the BJP to form a government. It is a possibility, and only the future will tell if I am correct.

AP Photographer who accompanied Hamas terrorists during 7 October attack wins award from American journalism institute for photo of naked body of Shani Louk

Freelance photojournalist Ali Mahmud, who contributed to the Associated Press and accompanied the Hamas terrorists during the 7 October attack in Israel, has won the Team Picture Story of the Year awarded by the Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute in the US. Ali Mahmud has won the award for the photograph of Shani Louk, who was paraded naked by the Hamas terrorists before killing her.

According to the website of the award, the Team Picture Story of the Year award category recognizes the collaborative effort of a photography staff covering a single topic or news story. “It is a narrative picture story that consists of images taken as part of a team effort to cover a single issue or news story,” it states. Shani Louk photograph is the first photograph in the gallery, and it states in the caption “Palestinian militants drive back to the Gaza Strip with the body of Shani Louk, a German-Israeli dual citizen, during their cross-border attack on Israel, Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023.”

Several other photographs showing the aftermath of the Hamas terror attack and Israel’s military action in Gaza, mostly taken by AP Photojournalists, have been selected for the award.

The award is handed out annually by the Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri in the United States.

Ali Mahmud is one of the journalists who travelled with the terrorists into Israel and extensively covered the attack. Media watchdog Honest Reporting had identified six freelance photographers, who had contributed to Associated Press and Reuters. The six photographers were identified as Hassan Eslaiah, Yousef Masoud, Ali Mahmud, Hatem Ali, Mohammed Fayq Abu Mostafa and Yasser Qudih. It is believed that they were aware of the Hamas terror attack before it took place.

The freelancers snapped photos of a burning Israeli tank and of Hamas terrorists kidnapping people, including the German-Israeli woman Shani Louk, who was later found dead. The photojournalists had posted the photos on social media in real time, when the attack was going on. In some posts, the photographers had posted their own photographs from the Israeli territory during the attack. They later deleted those posts, but Honest Reporting had already taken screenshots of those posts.

Former IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt sentenced to 20 years in prison by Gujarat Court in 1996 drug planting case to frame a lawyer

Former IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt was handed down a 20-year jail sentence on 28th March in connection with the 1996 drug-planting case by a Sessions court in Palanpur, Gujarat’s Banaskantha district. He was awarded the jail term in accordance with NDPS sections 21(c) and 27A (the penalty for supporting illicit traffic and harbouring offenders). Furthermore, he has been fined two lakh rupees.

He was found guilty a day before by Additional Sessions Judge JN Thakkar of violating the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985’s sections 21(c), 27A (punishment for financing illicit traffic and harbouring offenders), 29 (abetment and criminal conspiracy to commit offence under NDPS Act), and 58 (1) and (2) (vexatious entry, search, seizure, and arrest).

He was already deemed culpable under sections 465 (Forgery), 471 (using forged document), 167 (public servant framing an incorrect document with intent to cause injury), 204 (secrets or destroys any document), 343 (wrongful confinement), 120B (criminal conspiracy) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intent) of the Indian Penal Code 1860.

Notably, he was apprehended in September 2018 at the Gujarat High Court’s request that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) investigate the case of Sumer Singh Rajpurohit, a lawyer from Rajasthan who was falsely accused by the Banaskantha police of possessing 1.5 kg of opium at a hotel in Palanpur in 1996. The counsel, a resident of Pali, was arrested in the matter.

The drugs were planted in a Palanpur hotel room as part of a “well-planned conspiracy” to get a property vacated in Rajasthan’s Pali district. Sanjiv Bhatt was the district superintendent of police during that time and IB Vyas, an inspector from Palanpur’s local crime branch was also named as a co-accused in the case. The latter turned into an approver in 2021.

The prosecution’s case was that Bhatt and the other perpetrators planned to exploit the NDPS Act to frame the attorney. An appeal filed by him last August 2023 sought a transfer of his trial in the 1996 drug-planting case to a court in the Banaskantha district. However, the Gujarat High Court denied the plea.

The drug planting case was shelved for almost two decades, from 1996 to 2018, when the Gujarat High Court ordered in April 2018 that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) made up of Gujarat CID (Criminal Investigation Department) officials look into a false complaint accusing Sanjiv Bhatt and others of falsely implicating the lawyer. In September 2018, he was arrested in connection with the case, 22 years after the incident.

At present, Sanjiv Bhatt who was removed from the force in 2015 is already incarcerated for life in a case involving custodial torture and death. The former IPS officer has been convicted twice in two criminal cases. In 2019, he was given a life term in jail for a 1990s custodial death in Jamnagar. His petition against the trial court’s ruling was denied by the Gujarat High Court in January, which maintained the conviction in the case.

Rameshwaram Cafe blast: NIA arrests co-conspirator Muzammil Shareef who had provided logistic support for the terror attack

In a major breakthrough in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday arrested a key conspirator following massive raids across multiple locations in three states. The agency released a statement saying that Muzammil Shareef was arrested after he was identing as a co-conspirator in the case.

Muzammil Shareef was picked up and placed in custody as a co-conspirator after NIA teams cracked down at 18 locations, including 12 in Karnataka, 5 in Tamil Nadu and one in Uttar Pradesh, the agency said in the statement.

NIA, which took over the case on 3rd March, had earlier identified the main accused, Mussavir Shazeeb Hussain, who had carried out the blast. It had also identified another conspirator, Abdul Matheen Taha, who is also wanted by the agency in other cases. Both Mussavir Shazeeb Hussain and Abdul Matheen Taha are on the run.

NIA investigations have revealed that arrested Muzammil Shareef had extended logistic support to the other two identified accused in the case, involving an IED explosion at the Cafe located at ITPL road, Brookefield, Bengaluru, on 1st March. Several customers and hotel staff members were injured in the blast, some of them grievously. The blast also caused extensive damage to the property.

Raids were conducted today at the houses of all these three accused, as well as the residential premises and shops of other suspects. Various digital devices were seized during the searches, along with cash, NIA said.

Efforts are on to nab the absconding accused and unearth the larger conspiracy behind the blast. Main accused Mussavir Shazeeb Hussain is a suspected terrorist from the Islamic State’s Shivamogga module. Investigative agencies have been tracking him since January 2020, and the National Investigation Agency has offered a reward of Rs 5 lakh for his capture.

‘I’m in courtroom, nothing happened like this’: Journalist punctures Aaptard’s claim that Kejriwal silenced both the Judge and ASG in the courtroom

0

The Delhi Court on Thursday further remanded Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody until April 1 in the money laundering case related to the alleged liquor policy scam. The Aaptards, despite being aware of the truth, activated a brand-new toolkit, as they have begun disseminating flagrant lies to stir up their supremo’s holier-than-thou attitude.

On March 28, Delhi CM and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal transformed the courtroom into a typical Hindi daily soap opera. Kejriwal’s supporters, however, rushed to X to praise the AAP chief, saying that Kejriwal’s powerful argumentation silenced the judge and the ASG. Journalist Atul Krishnan, using the X handle @iAtulKrishnan1, was, however, quick to puncture the false claim being spread by the AAP loyalists on X.

Social media user AAPKaMehta, whose X handle is @DaaruBaazMehta, was the first supporter of Arvind Kejriwal to disseminate this bizarre lie. He posted what he claimed to be an excerpt from today’s court argument.

According to @DaaruBaazMehta, Arvind Kejriwal questioned Additional Solicitor General SV Raju about his arrest. In response, ASG stated that Kejriwal had been arrested because of a statement they had against him.

Reacting to the ASG’s remark, Kejriwal reportedly said, “So if I say I gave 100 crores to Modi and Amit Shah, will you go and arrest them based on my statement?,” as posted by @DaaruBaazMehta.

Lauding Kejriwal for his ‘savage’ response, the X user said that after hearing Kejriwal’s reply, the judge and ASG were rendered dumbfounded.

Soon after AAPKaMehta shared this on X, several Aaptards jumped onto the bandwagon. They spread the exact same lie to exalt the AAP supremo for not only being innocent but highly intelligent who, with his wisdom managed to silence the judge as well as the ASG.

However, this was just another botched attempt by the supporters of the AAP to place Arvind Kejriwal above himself. As soon as this falsehood was spread, journalist Atul Krishnan, using the X handle @iAtulKrishnan1, debunked it. Atul Krishnan responded to @DaaruBaazMehta by stating that he was in the courtroom during the hearing and that nothing of this nature took place there.

In fact, OpIndia reported how the AAP supremo had converted the courtroom into a typical saas-bahu daily soap as he asked the Additional Solicitor General SV Raju to give him “aashirwad” (blessings) adding that he should allow him to speak. In an apparent attempt to play victim, the Delhi CM also claimed that the Enforcement Directorate of trying to “crush” the Aam Aadmi Party.

When the court asked him to give his statement in writing, Kejriwal insisted on being allowed to speak and said, “Mujhe bolne dein (Let me speak).”

“Mere Ghar pe dhero mantri aate Hain, wo aapas me khusir phusur karte Hain, documents dete Hain. Kya ye statement ek sitting CM ko arrest krne ke lie sufficient hai? (Lots of ministers come to my house daily, they talk among themselves, give me files. Is a statement like this sufficient to arrest a sitting Chief Minister?)” Kejriwal said.

As ASG SV Raju objected to this, Kejriwal said, “Raju sahab Mai aapse aashirwad chahta hu. Please mujhe bolne dein. (Raju Sahab I want your blessings. Please let me speak).”

The Delhi CM went on to claim that the ‘real’ liquor scam began after the Enforcement Directorate initiated the investigation. Kejriwal asserted that the ED’s sole aim is to “crush” Aam Aadmi Party.

The court, however, after hearing the submissions made by both sides, extended Kejriwal’s custody by four days. The Delhi CM will stay in ED’s custody till 1st April.

UP: Hina Ali leaves Islam and adopts Hinduism, was distressed about Badaun murder case and changed her name to Sangeeta after the mother of the victims

On 28th March Hina Ali, a 20-year-old Muslim girl returned to the fold of Sanatan Dharma in the Sitapur area of Uttar Pradesh. Her father Tahir Ali runs a salon there. She chose to renounce Islam and wed her Hindu partner Mahesh Maurya in accordance with Hindu customs after Sajid and Javed killed two Hindu children, Aayush and Ahaan, in Badaun. She has changed her name to Sangeeta which is also the name of the mother of the deceased boys.

Hina is from Sitapur’s Khairabad police station neighbourhood. She began dating Mahesh, a Khairabad native about two and a half years ago and their relationship eventually developed into love. She adopted Hinduism after which the two lovers held hands and married each other per Vedic rituals. Vedic mantras resounded throughout the ceremony, accompanied by the slogans of “Jai Shri Ram.”

According to Hina, her father was adamantly against her relationship with Mahesh. Hindus are labelled as infidels. While Tahir opposed and imposed restrictions on the girl, Mahesh’s family approved of her and gave their consent to the relationship. Afterwards, she asked Mahesh to speak with Vikas Hindu, the national president of ‘Hindu Sher Sena’ as a result, Hina decided to abandon Islam and reverted to Sanatan Dharma and took the name, Sangeeta.

The pair got married in compliance with Vedic traditions at the Mata Kali temple in Kanshiram Colony, Sitapur city. Hindu groups, in addition to Mahesh’s family, bestowed gifts and marital bliss onto the couple on this auspicious occasion. Furthermore, the newlyweds have requested protection from the authorities.

Vikas Hindu who assisted in this sacred union spoke to OpIndia and disclosed that Hina remained silent for a long time due to religious limitations and familial pressure. Tahir also started looking for a Muslim groom to marry his daughter, however, she continued to oppose it.

Hina Ali mentioned that on 19th February, reports of the murders of two Hindu minors by salon owners in the Badaun district surfaced. As the news spread, it also reached her and shocked the female. She then resolved to become a Hindu. She further revealed via a video that the accused managed a barbershop just like her father. Mahesh stated that despite all of the prohibitions Hina succeeded in getting in touch with him following the Badaun murder case. She urged him to tie the knot with her as soon as possible. Now, both are happily married and united forever.
