Union govt institutes “Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak” by merging 4 Home Minister’s medals, to be awarded for successful significant operations

The Centre has merged, with immediate effect, four existing Home Minister’s medals to institute one new medal named “Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak”.

The new medal is named after merging the Union Home Minister’s Special Operation Medal, the Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation, Asadharan Aasuchana Kushalata Padak and the Union Home Minister’s Awards for Meritorious Service in Forensic Science.

Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) announced in a notification issued on Thursday, declaring “the existing Union Home Minister’s Special Operation Medal, Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation, Asadharan Aasuchana Kushalata Padak and Union Home Minister’s Awards for Meritorious Service in Forensic Science instituted by Ministry of Home Affairs are merged with immediate effect to institute one new medal i.e. ‘Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak’.”

The notification also mentioned “the Union Home Minister is pleased to institute the “Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak” to be conferred on members of the Police Forces, Security Organizations and Intelligence Wing/Branch/Special Branch of States/Union Territories/Central Police Organizations(CPOs)/Central Armed Police Forces(CAPFs)/National Security Guard/Assam Rifles; and Forensic Science (Central/State/Union Territories) throughout the Indian Union in consideration for excellence in Operations (in the areas such as Counter Terrorism, Border Action, Arms Control, Left Wing extremism, Prevention of Narcotics Smuggling and Rescue Operation.”

As per the notification, the personnel of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) will also be considered for award under the area of “Prevention of Narcotics Smuggling”, outstanding service in Investigation, exceptional performance, indomitable and daring intelligence service, meritorious work done by serving government scientists in the field of Forensic Science and to make, ordain and establish the following statues governing “Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak”, which shall be deemed to have effect from the date of notification.

The award shall be in the form of medal and styled and designated as the “Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak” (hereinafter referred to as the medal), it says.

It further mentioned that the medal shall be circular in shape, made of Silver gold gilt, 38 mm in diameter, 3 mm in thickness and shall have embossed on the obverse the symbol of “face of Sardar Patel” in the centre with the words “Jai Bharat” (in Hindi) inscribed below and shall have engraved on the upper edge, the words “Rashtra Prahari” (in Hindi) and the words “Sentinel of the Nation” (in English) inscribed on the lower edge.

It pointed out that Hindi and English inscriptions shall be separated by a small star appearing on either side. On the reverse, it shall have embossed the Ashoka Chakra in the centre with the words “Satya Seva Suraksha” (in Hindi) inscribed below and the words “Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak” (in Hindi) and “Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak” (in English) on the upper and lower edge respectively. Hindi and English inscriptions shall be separated by a small star appearing on either side.

The Medal shall only be awarded for the successful conduct of operations that have a significant nature or scale and direct bearing or impact on the security of state and UT, region or country: (in areas such as counter-terrorism, border action, arms control, left-wing extremism, prevention of narcotics smuggling, and rescue operations), states the notification.

Personnel of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) may also be considered for award under the area of “Prevention of Narcotics Smuggling” by the members of Police police forces of states and UTs, CAPFs/CPOs and security organisations within the territory of India or outside the country during their posting on deputation to the Ministry of External Affairs.

Personnel who have shown outstanding performance in investigations and engaged in intelligence organization for combating terrorism, militancy, and insurgency and got breakthroughs in unearthing of modules of espionage, insurgency, terrorism, militancy, organized crime or in arrest, capture, and neutralization of members of such outfits, moreover, engaged in consistent excellence or exemplary contribution in collection, analysis and dissemination of intelligence in combating terrorism, militancy, insurgency; and done meritorious work in the field of Forensic Science, Research and Development on the subject, qualitative case examination work, crime scene management, training and awareness, Forensic Management and outstanding work to the scientists working in government laboratories, Research and Development institutions and training Institutions and Academic Institutions.

The names of those to whom this medal is awarded shall be published in the Gazette of India except in the field of intelligence, and a register of such names will be kept in PMA Cell, Police-I Division of Ministry of Home Affairs, it said.

“Each Medal shall be suspended from the left breast and the riband, of an inch and three eight in width, shall be half blue and half red. Any deed in the field of special operation, investigation, intelligence and forensic science which is worthy of recognition by the award of “Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak” but is performed by one upon which the decoration has already been conferred, may be recorded by a Bar attached to the riband by which the medal is suspended,” it stated.

For every such additional act, it also said, an additional Bar may be added and for each Bar awarded a small silver rose with gold gilt shall be added to the riband, when worn alone.

“It shall be competent for the Union Home Minister to withdraw the Medal, if the awardee is punished with dismissal, removal, major penalty or is found involved in criminal offence or is found indulging in conduct unbecoming of officer in the opinion of the government of the state and UT or the Union. It shall, however, be competent for the Union Home Minister to restore this Medal which may have been so forfeited.”

Before receiving the same, the notification said, every person to whom the said decoration is awarded, shall enter into an agreement to return the medal, if, his or her name is erased as aforesaid. Notice of cancellation or restoration, in every case, shall be published in the Gazette of India.

At the end, the notification pointed that it shall be competent for the Ministry of Home Affairs to make rules to carry out the purpose of these statutes.

The Pipleshwar Mahadev temple which is situated in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district has been vandalised in the intervening night of 31st January and 1st February. The instance came to light when priests and devotees visited there on 1st February to worship the presiding deity. The Shivling and idol of Lord Nandi were uprooted and thrown onto the road after unidentified individuals smashed through the temple’s door. Meanwhile, a resident, Saurabh Kirar, filed a complaint against seven men.

He informed the authorities that a Shiva temple had been constructed in front of the new tank. He noticed that the Shivling and statue of Lord Nandi had been broken when he was walking by the temple around five o’clock. According to him, he had suspicions that the crime was carried out by Shah Rukh, Reehan, Wafati, Anwar, Zeeshan, Bittu and Raheesh. He added that these people prowl the village until one in the morning.

The incident unfolded in Bamori town, where the miscreants destroyed the Shivling and defiled the historic temple, which is close to Mukti Dham. It has enraged the locals, who have asked that the police demolish the houses of the accused and arrest them immediately. The outrageous action has led to a tense atmosphere around the town.

Bamori town is located at a distance of about 40 kilometres from Guna district headquarters. Local people have informed the police about this incident. Villagers charged that this is not the first occurrence. This temple was subjected to assault in 2013 after which the people renovated the the place and restored the God’s idol there.

The people observed a shutdown in the area, blocked off the road and are calling for the arrest of the perpetrators. A large police force has been deployed due to the commotion. The cops have opened a case under section 295 against seven people of a particular community based on suspicion. Four persons have been arrested and are undergoing interrogation. Furthermore, the area’s CCTV footage is being examined.

The Hanuman flag removal controversy which recently erupted in Karnataka, is now spreading to other parts of the state. Following the removal of a Hanuman flag hoisted on a 108-foot pole put up by locals using their own money in the Mandya district, green flags have been placed in different areas. On Thursday (1st February), locals in Chikkaballapur city lodged a complaint with authorities, demanding that the green flag be removed from a flag post near Doddabhajame Mane. Subsequently, the officials visited the location and directed the responsible parties to remove the green flag.

Meanwhile, several BJP leaders have sought the removal of a half-moon and star structure erected on Kolar’s iconic Clock Tower.

Taking to X, Kodagu-Mysore BJP MP Pratap Simha has also urged the authorities to remove the green flag from Mysuru city. “Thanks to the Mysore district administration, but why did you remove one flag and leave another one next to it? Do I have to come to the place myself? Don’t you see another flag at Kailaspuram, 4th Main Road, Ambedkar Park, Srinivasa Temple Road?” Simha posted.

On Tuesday (30th January), a green flag was seen in the Shivajinagar area of Bengaluru. The appearance of the green flag triggered an outrage in the area with BJP leaders like Basanagouda R Patil Yatnal seeking the removal of the flag. Yatnal even called the green flag similar to that of Pakistan.

“Hon @CPBlr @DCPEASTBCP Is it not against our flag code to fly a green flag similar to the color of an enemy country in a public area? Immediately, remove this and fly the national flag here. Shivajinagar is in India, not Pakistan,” BJP leader Basanagouda R Patil Yatnal posted on X.

Bajrang Dal to launch Hanuman Dhwaj campaign in Mandya

The Bajrang Dal has reportedly announced that the Hanuman Dhwaj campaign in Mandya will begin on Friday. Earlier, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) declared that the saffron flag campaign would be carried out across the state, with flags being hoisted atop all houses. The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has also urged locals in Keragodu and a dozen surrounding villages to put up Hanuman flags on their homes. The BJP said that it wants the villagers to hoist the saffron flag “to send a message to the government.”

Meanwhile, Samana Manaskara Vedike has called a bandh in Mandya on 7th February. The Bajrang Dal has proposed a bandh in Mandya district on 9th February to protest the removal of the Hanuman flag. The BJP unit has recently held a state-wide bandh.

Reports say that to prevent any untoward incidents, more than 200 police officers have been sent to Keragodu village in Mandya district, where the dispute began. The village will continue to have prohibitory orders in place.

On Wednesday, a delegation of BJP leaders visited Kergodu village in Mandya and met with people injured in the police lathicharge. They organised a meeting with village headmen and panchayat members to discuss the next steps in the campaign.

Congress government has turned into ‘British Raj’ says BJP

According to a New Indian Express report, BJP leader Ashok Jairam stated that the party delegation interacted with villagers, panchayat members, and Gowrishankar Seva Trust members. He claimed that the police mistreated the residents and that officers did not have enough time to organise a peace meeting in the community. Jairam alleged that the Congress government has devolved into the British Raj, picking an underage boy for interrogation in the early hours, terrifying women and children.

Anand, a Gowrishankara Seva Trust member, stated that all of the village’s residents supported hoisting the Hanuman flag atop the 108-foot flagpost, but certain vested interests are dividing them. The district administration breached the flag code by hoisting a national flag that was disproportionate to the size of the flagpole, he said. “We had taken Siddaramaiah in a procession of 101 bullocks to inaugurate the Kannada Rajyotsava celebration in Keragodu. But he has forgotten Keragodu. The district administration should hold peace meetings and set right the lapses. We want the case handed over to the CBI. “We seek justice and peace,” he continued.

On Wednesday, Keragodu Panchayat member Shivanand reportedly backed by Congress urged that a peace meeting be called for communal harmony ahead of the Shivratri festival. Shivanand said that the villagers celebrate Shivratri in a grand fashion and do not want the recent incidents to cast a shadow over it. “The request to put up a flag post came before the panchayat and it was approved unanimously at the meeting. The panchayat chief executive officer came to the village after the flag was hoisted, and the members told her that the panchayat had approved the request of the villagers. Although members sought a week to hold a peace meeting, the panchayat chief executive officer did not give time and asked them about the need to bring down the flag on a holiday,” Shivanand said.

As reported earlier, tensions erupted in the region over the removal of the Hanuman flag by police on the 27th of January night in Karnataka’s Mandya district. Prior to this, youths of Keragodu village had erected a 108-foot pole and hoisted a saffron flag bearing the image of Lord Hanuman near a Ram temple with permission from the village Panchayat. However, some villagers did not like this and complained about the matter. 

It was reported that the people of Keragodu and 12 neighbouring villages had collected money for the installation of the flag. Additionally, BJP and JD(S) workers were also actively involved in this initiative. 

Earlier, the villagers had gathered at the place as the panchayat officials arrived to remove the flag. They held a demonstration against the government and chanted “go back” slogans.

The people insisted that they had raised the flag in concert with one another, but the authorities refused to listen to them. A protest broke out when the village panchayat took down the flag. The police resorted to lathi charge to drive the locals out after they continued to resist. Hindus had been gathering there since the previous evening and on 28th January the environment grew more intense.

Mandya Superintendent of Police claimed that the chief executive officer (CEO) Sheikh Tanveer Asif of the Gram Panchayat decided to pull down the flag and the village residents objected to it. CEO Asif claimed that permission was sought to hoist a national flag, however, a saffron flag was hoisted instead adding that it was thus removed legally.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah justified the administration’s actions in the matter. Speaking on tensions in Mandya, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah said, “It is not right to fly the saffron flag instead of the national flag. They should have hoisted the national flag.”

Another Indian student found dead in US, third such case within a week

Another Indian student in the United States named Shreyas Reddy has been found dead in Cincinnati, Ohio, making it the third such case within a week.

The cause of his death, however, remains unknown as of now.

According to reports, Reddy was a student at the Linder School of Business.

The Indian Consulate in New York has expressed regret about the incident and said that it is in touch with his family and is extending all possible assistance to them.

“Deeply saddened by the unfortunate demise of Mr. Shreyas Reddy Benigeri, a student of Indian origin in Ohio. Police investigation is underway. At this stage, foul play is not suspected. The Consulate continues to remain in touch with the family and is extending all possible assistance to them,” the Indian Consulate in New York stated in a post.

More details are awaited in the case.

Notably, this is the third death of an Indian student within a span of a week, after Vivek Saini and Neel Acharya.

On January 30, Acharya, a student at Purdue University, was confirmed dead, according to the Tippecanoe County Coroner.

According to the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office, officials were called around to 500 Allison Road in West Lafayette for a possible dead body. Upon arrival, a “college-aged male” was found deceased on Purdue’s campus.

Gaury Acharya, mother of the deceased student, in a post on X, appealed, “Our son Neel Acharya is missing since yesterday Jan 28 (12:30 AM EST) He is studying in Purdue University in the US. He was last seen by the Uber driver who dropped him off in Purdue university. We are looking for any info on him. Please help us if you know anything.”

The Consulate General of India in Chicago replied to her post on X, saying, “Consulate is in touch with Purdue University authorities and also with Neel’s family. Consulate will extend all possible support and help.”

On January 29, another Indian student was brutally killed with repeated blows from a hammer by a homeless man inside a store in Lithonia, Georgia, US.

A video of the incident went viral on social media, but the date of the incident can’t be confirmed.

The man seen attacking Saini is reportedly a homeless person. A person familiar with the case told ANI that police authorities acted firmly on the visual evidence of the case, and arrests were made promptly.

The mortal remains of the victim, being an Indian citizen, were sent back to Vivek’s family in India on January 24, the person added. (ANI)

Cash recovery, 8.5-acre land parcels…: ED cites grounds for arresting former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren

Sharing details of the grounds for arresting former chief minister Hemant Soren, the ED on Friday said it recovered cash worth in excess of Rs 36 lakh from the possession of the JMM chief along with documents linked to the ongoing investigation into the alleged acquisition of land by ‘fraudulent means’.

The central probe agency added that land parcels spanning 8.5 acres were part of the criminal proceeds that the former CM allegedly acquired.

Sharing further details of the arrest, which was made under Section 19 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, the ED stated through an official statement that in a raid conducted on April 13, 2023, they unearthed several property-related records and registers that were in the possession of Revenue Sub-Inspector Bhanu Pratap Prasad.

“On April 13, 2023, searches were conducted at several premises including, the premises of Bhanu Pratap Prasad, Revenue Sub Inspector, Bargain, Ranchi and 11 trunks of voluminous property documents along with seventeen original registers (daft 11) were seized from his possession, Bhanu Pratap Prasad was custodian of many original registers in which the land records (ownership details) are maintained. Bhanu Pratap Prasad was involved in corrupt practices which included falsification of original records and had been a party with several other persons in their activities linked to the acquisition of landed properties in fraudulent manners,” the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) stated in its official release.

“On the basis of this information, shared with Jharkhand Government under section 66(2) of PMLA, an FIR was registered against one Bhanu Pratap Prasad. Further, on the basis of the FIR, ECIR was recorded by the Directorate of Enforcement, Ranchi Zonal office on June 26, 2023. The information shared under section 66(2) by ED is an integral part of the FIR lodged by the Ranchi Police under sections 465/ 467/ 468/ 469/ 471/ 466/ 420/ 379/ 474 of IPC out of which sections 420, 467 and 471 are scheduled offences,” the central agency added.

It informed further that the probe further revealed that Bhanu Pratap Prasad and others are part of a “very large syndicate involved in corrupt practices of acquiring properties forcefully as well as on the basis of false deeds, falsification of government records, tampering, with original revenue documents etc”.

“It is revealed that the said Bhanu Pratap Prasad was actively involved in hatching conspiracies with other persons to acquire and conceal various properties in an illegal manner including the properties which are illegally acquired and possessed by Hemant Soren. The details of the properties, which are illegally acquired and possessed by Soren have also been recovered from the mobile phone of Bhanu Pratap Prasad,” the ED alleged.

The agency added that the list of 12 landed properties which are adjacently situated and altogether make up a very big property of an area of about 8 decimals, was recovered from Bhanu Pratap’s mobile phone.

“The photo of the above-mentioned list of landed properties also bears certain hand-written remarks made by Bhanu Pratap, after he had made verification of those parcels of land,” the ED informed, adding, “Investigation has revealed that this property is and has been illegally acquired and possessed by Hemant Soren.”

“A survey was conducted under section 16 of the PMLA, 2002 on the said property which established that the land is in illegal possession, occupation and use of Hemant Soren,” the central probe agency added.

“Searches were conducted at the residential premises of Hemant Soren. Huge cash amounting to Rs 36,34,500 was seized from the cupboard of the room under his use and occupation along, with other documents linked to the investigation being conducted into the matter of the acquisition of landed properties by fraudulent means. In the instant case, the property as discussed above admeasuring approximately 8.5 Acres is proceeds of crime which have been in unauthorised and illegal possession and use of Soren,” it stated further.

The agency informed further that as per Section 3 of PMLA, 2002, Soren “directly indulged in the process connected with acquisition, possession and the use of proceeds of the crime”.

“He is knowingly a party along with Bhanu Pratap and others in the activities connected with concealment of the original records for projecting the property acquired by him in an illegal manner as an untainted property,” the ED stated, adding, “Further, the process or the activity connected with the acquisition, possession and use of proceeds of crime by projecting it as untainted property is continuing as on day as he is still enjoying the said proceeds of crime by its possession, occupation and use by claiming it as an untainted property.”

“Considering the facts and circumstances as stated above, and taking into consideration the activities and processes of money laundering in which Soren is directly involved and is also a party with the said Bhanu Pratap and others, there are sufficient reasons to believe that Soren is guilty of the offence of money laundering as per section 3 of PMLA 2002,” it added.

After an intriguing spell during which the JMM chief allegedly went incommunicado, only to be pictured later holding a meeting at his official residence, Soren was finally arrested by the ED after several summonses in the land ‘scam’ case and several hours of questioning on Wednesday night.

The former CM later moved the Supreme Court against his arrest, claiming that the central agency abused its powers and “acted in a malafide manner to destabilise a democratically elected government in Jharkhand”.

Soren, who has filed the petition through advocate Pragya Baghel, challenging his arrest, sought an urgent hearing of his petition.

After senior Advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for Soren, mentioned the plea before the Supreme Court on Thursday morning, the top court agreed to list it on Friday. (ANI)

A post on model and actress Poonam Pandey’s Instagram account says she has died of cervical cancer. The model-turned-actress was 32 years old, as per reports.

The post was shared on Pandey’s verified Instagram handle at around 10.45 on February 2. The model-actress has over 1.2 million followers on Instagram.

Fans are in shock, expressing disbelief over the news of her alleged death. While some are expressing sadness, some are claiming that it might be a gimmick and soon there will be a post that her account was hacked.

It is not yet clear whether the announcement is about the model’s own death. However social media is abuzz with speculations that there might be a pet of the same name too.

Media portal Free Press Journal published that they have spoken to Poonam Pandey’s team and they have confirmed her death. The model-actress was reportedly at her hometown in Kanpur and passed away on Thursday night. Some other reports have also confirmed the death of the actress.

The 32-year-old model-turned-actress had risen to fame after she promised to strip naked if the Indian cricket team won the 2011 cricket World Cup. After the world cup victory, she had claimed that it was only a publicity stunt and she won’t be stripping naked. She had started her acting career with the movie ‘Nasha’ in 2013. She was a popular influencer on social media and often made headlines due to her bold fashion choices.

‘Fact-checking’ website Alt News’ Mohammad Zubair, who recently got awarded by TN govt, shares fake Congress letter suspending Acharya Pramod: Address from UK, written by ‘Rao Sahab’

On Friday (2nd February), Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair took to X (formerly Twitter) to peddle fake news about the suspension of Acharya Pramod Krishnam from the Congress party.

The development comes a day after the Congress leader met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and invited him to lay the foundation stone of Shri Kalki Dham in Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh.

In a tweet, Mohammed Zubair claimed, “Congress finally suspends Acharya Pramod Krishnam. Late by at least 2 years. Also sad for ANI who regularly goes to Anti-Congress quotes.”

The dubious ‘fact-checker’ shared a purported copy of the suspension notice, without bothering to verify the basic details. For instance, the alleged notice was issued by one ‘Rao Sahab’, which is a colloquial salutation used in Haryana and not a real name.

Mohammed Zubair, who solicits money from the public for his fact-checks, also ignored the fact that the purported notice was issued from 10 Downing Street i.e. the official residence of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

With complete disregard for simple fact-checking rules, the Alt News co-founder falsely claimed that Acharaya Pramod Krishnam had been suspended from the Congress party by one ‘Rao Sahab’ of the All India Congress Volunteers Committee.

Interestingly, the viral fake notice attributed to the Congress party was debunked a day earlier on Thursday (1st February) by journalist Sachin Gupta. He added that the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Acharya Pramod Krishnam has dismissed the fake news.

Nonetheless, it did not stop Mohammed Zubair from disseminating and further amplifying the piece of disinformation. In fact, he shamelessly deleted the tweet without citing any apology or clarification.

Tamil Nadu govt felicitates Mohammed Zubair

The Tamil Nadu government on the occasion of 26th January, Republic Day presented the Kottai Ameer Communal Harmony Award to Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair who is known for spreading fake news and false information in the name of fact-checking.

Ironically, the document of felicitation stated that Zubair played a major role in ‘debunking’ the lies that were being spread against the state in March 2023.

AltNews works as an Islamic propaganda website

Propaganda website AltNews has been largely peddled as an authentic source of fact-checks by the entire Left cabal. Their articles are peddled by any anti-government, anti-Hindu riffraff that the ecosystem has to offer and they often claim that their method is rather elaborate and authentic.

With patrons like Arundhati Roy, who regularly speaks in a language that can only be called one that resonates with Naxals and every element that wishes to tear India apart, AltNews has gained a reputation amongst right-thinking individuals as a mouthpiece of Islamists.

The so-called fact-checking website regularly furthers fake news, obfuscates the truth, concocts details to shield Islamists and sometimes, even creates fake news simply to fact check it later. 

In their quest to exonerate perpetrators from the Muslim community, AltNews has employed several methods over the years. Their methods, have now almost become predictable and standardised.

While subtly peddling Islamic propaganda, AltNews keeps up the veneer of fact-checking to make their propaganda far more palatable to their already gullible readers, and that, they have the help of the entire ecosystem for their nefarious plans certainly helps move things along.

There have been numerous occasions when they have whitewashed the crimes of Islamists or falsely accused Hindus of guilt.

From spreading downright lies to deliberately misleading their readers, whitewashing deplorable Islamist crimes, doxxing Hindus on social media and collaborating with global Jihadis and Leftists, AltNews employs every tactic in the book to downplay crimes against Hindus and act as an Islamist mouthpiece.

“Aaj Kutton Ka Wakt Hai, Hamara Daur Ayega”: Video of Mufti Salman Azhari’s hate speech in Junagadh goes viral, action sought

A video of a Muslim cleric inciting people against Hindus is going viral on social media. The person identified as Mufti Salman Azhari can be heard giving a venomous speech. The video is said to be from a Muslim community event in Junagadh city, which took place on Wednesday (31st January).

In the video, Azhari says, “Abhi to karbala ka akhiri maidan baqi hai…Kuch der ki khamoshi hai, fir shore ayega… Aaj kutton ka wakt hai, kal hamara daur ayega.” (The final battle of Karbala is yet to come… a moment of silence, then there will be noise again. Today is the time of the dogs, tomorrow will be our time).” After saying this, he chants, “Labbek Ya Rasulullah” and the crowd in front repeats it.

This 22-second video is going viral on social media with people demanding action.

At the beginning of his speech, Azhari mentions the history of Junagadh and says that the people of Junagadh did not fall into the hands of anyone.

“It took several attempts to get them inside. Just as you did not soon come to anyone’s hands, I want you today not to wear someone else’s belt around your neck, we only have the servitude of Tajdar-e-Madinah,” he said.

Then Azhari and the crowd start chanting the slogan ‘Ghulam Hai Ghulam Hai, Rasool Ke Ghulam Hai’.

Further citing research on Muslims, he said, “Muslims are beaten, slaughtered, children killed, women robbed, houses destroyed, mosques burnt, but it is not their leader who brings them back together. Now and then they have been scattered and reunited and come alive in the name of Mohammed, gathered in the name of Tajdar-e-Madinah.”

Further, addressing the Muslim youth, he says, “The Arab has become unconscious, he has been drugged by the Internet. You have also been given access to it. There is so much drunkenness that every neighborhood is full of drunkenness today. Now the world is checking whether they are completely unconscious and they have only one way to check the Ummad (Muslim community) – in the honor of Hazor, in the honor of Islam, in the honor of Quran, they will gloat, scold, bring out the little dog, they will keep barking, to check whether the Muslim is completely unconscious or still conscious.”

“The Arabs have become unconscious, but it is God’s grace that Hindustan has not become unconscious. A dog cries out from a thousand places – Labbak Ya Rasulullah.”

He goes on to say, “2 years ago a dog was barking at Bhair’s glory, pain in the heart. I used to think that now there is no need for discussion, no need for conversation, come straight to the ground, let’s talk face to face.”

Azhari continued, “This tribe bows only when Allahu Akbar is said. This is our speciality. This is what I want to say to those who show me a lollipop of wealth and 10 years of power and say come, keep your head at my feet. Only the traitor may come to you, the one who is loyal to Nabi will step on your head and say – Mere Nabi Se Mera rishta kal bhi tha aur aaj bhi hai (I always had ties to my God and will continue to have these ties).”

He went on to say, “Great tyrants have come and perished, now there is nothing…winds and winds will blow away. Your faith is being tested. If you survive, Allah’s help will surely come.”

Others also said many inflammatory things

Mufti Azhari continued, “Tell your children that eating only halwa-paratha is not called Ashiq-e-Rasool, eating only naankhatai and panda-jalebi is not called Sunni. Who is Sunni? Those who shave their heads in the name of Rasulullah. Sometimes it is time to get into trouble and we are ready for that too. What have we given in the love of presence? Is lighting a candle once on Milad called praying the right in the love of presence? Today we are yours. He further addressed the Muslim youth and said, “You have now started taking Hazur-e-Akhlaq lightly. Islam has been started to be taken lightly. Now it has come to this point that neither our mosques are safe nor our hats, beards, nothing is safe.”

He further glorifies Muhammad bin Qasim by quoting an alleged incident and says, “He brought an army of thousands to Hindustan to save his sister’s robbed honour. During the speech, Qasim was also described as the first person to hoist the ‘Parcham-e-Islam’ on this land.”

At the end of the speech, Azhari says, “Inqlab will happen from your house. They do not have the courage to turn mosques into booths. You have left the mosques deserted and we have a phrase that when the ground is open there is a rule of dogs. If you keep walking in the field, there will be no dogs.”

At the end of the speech, he said, “Sunnis, get up here from Junagadh with the belief that there is no messiah for you, not even the ruling party and not even the opposition party. Maybe some days someone can play with our emotions and someone will call you. We’ve seen it all…..where do you stand? Someone who stands with us even when our children are robbed.”

“No, no one spoke to us when the mosques were looted, no one spoke to us in the Maidan or in Parliament. Everyone can talk about those people while lamenting secularism, but no one can talk about 20-25 crore Muslims,” he said.

“Our death will not end Islam”

He goes on to say, “The world is telling us that you are right, why are you being killed, being cut down, Palestine, Iran, Burma being cut down and killed. Answer those oppressors that we are the servants of Muhammad Rasoolullah and the servant is born only to die. If we are killed, remember that Islam will not be destroyed by our death, if it was to be destroyed, it would have been destroyed in Karbala. But he comes alive after every Karbala.”

At the end of the speech he says in Hindi, “Don’t panic Muslims, abhi khuda ki shaan baki hai. Abhi Islam Jinda Hai. Abhi Quran baqi hai. Aa jalim kafir kya samhate hai jo roj hamse ulajhte hai, abhi to karbala ka akhiri makam baqi hai. Kuch der ki khamoshi hai, shore ayega…..Aaj kutton ka wakt hai, kal hamara daur ayega.” Then chants of Labbak Ya Rasulullah are heard and the crowd repeats it.

The influx of illegal immigrants into India via Bangladesh continues. Bangladeshis enter India by paying just Rs 15,000 and then use bogus documents to change their identities before settling and doing business here. However, the government continues to push against such illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators. One such case has been reported in Rajasthan’s Ajmer wherein, police apprehended a Bangladeshi brother and sister.

The two rented a home in Ajmer’s Dargah locality using counterfeit IDs. They both entered India for the second time. They were found in possession of a fake Aadhaar card. These fake Aadhaar cards described the duo as residents of the 24 Parganas area of ​​West Bengal. They had been living in Ajmer for nearly two months, running a clothing business. CID arrested the duo based on suspicion.

The arrested brother-sister duo has been identified as Nahid Hussain (21) and Mahmuda Akhtar (30). Mahmuda Akhtar had already travelled to India twice on a visa. During that time, Mahmuda travelled and worked in various cities in India, including Hyderabad, Calcutta, and Ajmer. However, she returned to Bangladesh during Corona outbreak. Mahmuda informed the police that she did not get a visa this time, therefore she entered India illegally through agents.

Illegal entry into India for just Rs 15,000

Reports say that Nahid Hussain and Mahmuda Akhtar are residents of the Munshiganj district of Bangladesh. The arrested duo planned on coming to India since there was a lack of work in Munshiganj, a district near Bangladesh’s capital, Dhaka. Both had been residing in Ajmer for two months.

During an interrogation by the police, they revealed that people from Bangladesh can easily enter India for just Rs 15,000. They added that people of both Bangladesh and India are involved in this conspiracy. Many brokers operate in the border area, taking money to cross the border.

Bangladeshis enter India illegally from under the fence

The arrested Bangladeshi infiltrators claim they entered from under the fence adding that this can only be done through an agent. After arriving in India, they continue to live their lives using forged documents and identification cards. Both stated that they were in India before the lockdown. The duo came to India for the second time.

Nahid and Mahmuda resided in leased rooms in Ajmer’s Nala Bazaar. Both had changed their names. The siblings were residing and conducting business in Ajmer while dodging the attention of the security forces. However, they were exposed, and the police arrested them. Subsequently, the duo has been sent to the detention centre in Alwar.

Ajmer has become a hub for Bangladeshi infiltrators

Notably, BJP leaders and officials in Ajmer have often complained to the District Police and Intelligence about Bangladeshis illegally residing in various parts of Ajmer, including the Dargah. However, the Congress government’s appeasement tactics prevented any action against them. Now, the action began as the BJP came to power in the state.

There are many Bangladeshis suspected to be living illegally in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Many Bangladeshi infiltrators have been apprehended in recent years. CBI raids Harsh Mandar’s office and residence in connection with FCRA violation case, MHA had recommended inquiry against his NGO in 2023: Details

CBI is raiding the residence and office of IAS-turned-social activist Harsh Mander in connection with the FCRA violation case. According to reports, the Central Bureau of Investigation has questioned several people in connection with the case.

A money laundering probe was initiated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in September 2021, where Mander’s residence was previously raided. The investigation is centred around two NGOs associated with him.

Per reports, the raids are in connection the FCRA violations by his NGO, Aman Biradari.

As per the rule, all NGOs receiving foreign funding have to compulsorily register with the Home Ministry under the FCRA. According to its website, Aman Biradari is a ‘grassroots movement’ dedicated to creating a secular, peaceful, just, and compassionate world. Its goal is to achieve this by establishing community-based organizations at the village and district levels, primarily consisting of young people and women from various backgrounds and faiths, the website says. It further adds that these organizations aim to foster greater tolerance, fraternity, respect, and peaceful coexistence between individuals of different religions, castes, and linguistic groups.

While the MHA had recommended a CBI inquiry into Harsh Mandar over FCRA violations in 2023, the controversial left-wing ‘activist’ has a chequered history of bringing disrepute to the judiciary and inciting Muslim mobs against the Indian state.

In March 2020, Mander courted controversy after a video of him inciting Muslim mobs against the Indian State and judiciary went viral on social media. Mander had said that decisions pertaining to matters of the state shall not be delivered by the Supreme Court or the Parliament but will be made in the streets. Following the incident, the Delhi Police had filed an affidavit against Harsh Mander in the Supreme Court accusing him not only of inciting violence but also of bringing disrepute to the Judiciary and had sought contempt of court proceedings against him. 

Who is Harsh Mander

Harsh Mander had worked in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) for almost two decades and quit the services ‘in protest’ against the ‘state-sponsored riots’ in Gujarat in 2002. Since he left the IAS, Harsh Mander has spent quite a colourful life in ‘civil society’ organizations. Among his many contributions, he has worked as the country director of ActionAid India. However, he is most famous for his service in Sonia Gandhi’s National Advisory Council (NAC) which drafted the anti-Hindu Communal Violence Bill.

Interestingly, earlier in October 2022, the MHA had cancelled the FCRA registration of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF) and the Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust (RGCT), two NGOs headed by Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, for alleged violations of FCRA laws.

Judicial Interventions by Harsh Mander

Harsh Mander is also a known Ishrat apologist, the female LeT operative who was killed in an encounter along with three others by Crime Branch Officials in Gujarat. He was also one of the individuals who had signed a mercy petition for the Mumbai Attack Terrorist Yakub Memon, was among the 203 persons who had signed the mercy petition for Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab and had signed the mercy petition for Afzal Guru also. Apart from such antics, his judicial interventions have been many. Last year, Harsh Mander filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking the recusal of then Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi from hearing a case relating to the condition of detention camps and deportation of illegal immigrants from Assam.

Harsh Mander was also one of the forty ‘activists’ who had filed a review petition in the Court against the Ayodhya Verdict that paved the way for a Bhavya Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. He was also part of the coterie that had filed a petition against the Citizenship Amendment Act. It is important to remember here that Harsh Mander did all of this while being associated with foreign-funded NGOs.

Harsh Mander’s role in the CAA unrest

Harsh Mander with his organization ‘Karwaan-e-Mohabbat’ published a report on the violence at the Aligarh Muslim University that absolved the students of all sins and peddled numerous lies against the Uttar Pradesh Police. Later, of course, the entire report turned out to be a massive fraud. Harsh Mander had also promised to register himself as a Muslim if the CAB was passed but OpIndia has not been able to confirm yet if he has gone through with his promise after the CAB became CAA. He has also spread great lies about the NRC in the past and the foreign tribunals in Assam.

Earlier, Mander was part of a coterie that had penned a letter against the CAB. Harsh Mander and his NGO Karwan-e-Mohabbat were very active at the protests in Shaheen Bagh, the anti-CAA protests masterminded by the notorious Radical Islamist Sharjeel Imam. Interestingly, Harsh Mander has spoken on the ‘importance of solidarity’ and ‘how we can practice civil disobedience in today’s India’. Karwan-e-Mohabbat had also urged people to join the protests at the notorious Shaheen Bagh protests.
