Karnataka: Secret camera inserted in minority girls’ bathroom in Kalaburgi, neighbour Salim Ali arrested

On Wednesday (December 20), a man named Salim Ali was arrested in Jevargi in the Kalaburgi district of Karnataka for secretly installing a wi-fi camera in the bathroom window of the post-matric girls hostel for the minority community.

Reports say that accused Salim Ali, son of Hussain Baba was a tenant in the hostel’s neighbouring building. A native of Mandewala village, the accused used to sell garlic for a living. Using a pipe, he had let in a wifi camera through the bathroom window. The camera was connected to his mobile phone. However, the girls at the hostel noticed him walking around suspiciously near the bathroom when they were going to take a bath on Wednesday morning and informed the hostel warden about the same.

Following this, Salim Ali was caught by the warden and turned over to the police. Accused Salim, a father of three, was apprehended by police based on the complaint lodged by the hostel warden.

A News9 report says that one of the girls saw Salim adjusting the camera from the window and screamed. As the other girls came inside the bathroom, they saw the camera and nabbed the accused who was then thrashed by the locals.

The police arrived at Salim Ali’s house and took him into custody. Reportedly, the accused was thrashed by the locals before being handed over to the police. A case has been registered against the accused at the Jevargi Police Station under relevant sections. After the FIR was registered, the police arrested the accused.

During the interrogation, Salim admitted to watching the girls through the camera while they used the bathroom. The police are still investigating when the camera was installed and whether or not he shared the video recordings with anyone else. The police have confiscated the camera and other equipment, and an investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, Hulikuntaraya, a taluk officer for minorities welfare, stated the girl students found the camera around 6.30 a.m. and caught Salim, who resides nearby. He was later apprehended by the police. “There are over 50 inmates in the hostel and no such incident had been reported earlier”, he said.

This shocking incident warrants recalling a similar incident in the Udupi district reported earlier in July this year wherein three female students of the Muslim community allegedly secretly made a video of Hindu female students in the washroom of the Netra Jyoti college in Udupi and shared it on Muslim groups. After much controversy, an FIR was registered against the accused girls identified as Alimatul Shaifa, Shabanaz, and Alia.

If reports are to be believed, the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in AICC headquarters on Thursday (21st December) was nothing short of a dictatorial meeting. Presiding over the meeting was the Gandhi family scion Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

For starters, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Digvijaya Singh and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel came in the line of fire for the party’s loss in the recently held assembly elections in Rajasthan, MP and Chhattisgarh.

As per reports, Rahul Gandhi said that the party did not campaign properly in the three states and was all praises for efforts in Telangana, where it won.

Kamal Nath’s lack of leadership was particularly criticised by all leaders. It was pointed by many that Kamal Nath and Bhupesh Baghel refused to listen to others while Nath didn’t heed the central leadership either.

Kharge reportedly mentioned that Kamal Nath used to get up and leave meetings when there were disagreements. MP Mukul Wasnik pointed out that one of the slogans in MP was “Jai Jai Kamal Nath” thereby leaving the party in the backfoot.

The heated exchange only escalated during the meet when Digvijaya Singh tried to hold the central Congress leadership accountable for the loss. He reportedly said that the All India Congress Committee (AICC) lacked consistency as it kept changing general secretaries.

Interestingly, after the blame game, reprimanding state units and instructing them to do better next time, the CWC meeting immediately veered towards Bharat Jodo Yatra. And just like that, Rahul garnered all attention.

This losely translates to the Congress central leadership not taking any responsibility for the party’s embarrassing electoral loss. While state units were left with fix-it-yourself recommendations by Rahul, his loyalists began motivating him to embark on a Bharat Jodo Yatra 2.0.

Instead of even trying to mention that the yatra was doing no good for the Congress in the election campaigning, Mallikarjun Kharge said that Rahul should take up the yatra from east to west this time.

This loyalist pitch was backed by leader after leader at the meeting. Mukul Wasnik, Kerala MLA Ramesh Chennithala and Tripura legislator Sudeep Roy Barman were the only voice of reason saying that there was not enought time for the yatra.

As per reports, the preparations for the yatra is already underway but it is likely to see all modes of transport come into use. 2024 general elections or not, Bharat Jodo Yatra 2.0 will go on it seems.

Reports quoting sources say that Randeep Surjewala, who was AICC in-charge of MP, pointed out that BJP’s organisation machinery right from the top to the booth-level was superior.

One would think that this crucial observation should have been made before the polls or at least heeded in the meeting for the future. But Rahul Gandhi seemed almost unwilling to receive any inputs that would suggest BJP being the better functioning party.

Rahul reportedly said, without mentioning Surjewala, that the Congress had defeated the BJP in the same states and argued that the BJP could be defeated.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said the party should now leave the past and look ahead.

Meanwhile, Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor keenly suggested that the party identify candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections so that they can start working on the ground. Manish Tewari put his weight behind Tharoor.

The Congress while addressing the media later said that the party will get into election mode immediately and candidates for the elections will be decided soon.

“The CWC calls upon all members of our great organisation to stand united with hope and confidence and immerse themselves with dedication and discipline in the election campaign,” Congress leader KC Venugopal said during the briefing.

Moreover, state-level workers’ conventions will be organised by the party starting January and meetings to review poll preparations in 23 states have been conducted already.

Albeit for Rahul Gandhi, the next project remains Bharat Jodo Yatra 2.0.

Black armband ‘stunt’ for Gaza: Cricketer Usman Khawaja charged by ICC for making political statement on field without prior permission

Australian opening batter Usman Khawaja has been charged by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for breaking regulations by wearing a black armband during the first Test against Pakistan at Perth without any prior approval, reported ESPNCricinfo on Thursday.

Khawaja wore the armband on the field instead of writing and wearing the message “all lives are equal” and “freedom is a human right” as he originally intended to in order to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Though black armbands are regularly worn by players to mourn the deaths of former players, family members or other significant individuals, they need permission from the national board and the ICC before they are worn.

“Usman Khawaja has been charged for breaching Clause F of the Clothing and Equipment Regulations,” an ICC spokesperson told ESPNcricinfo.

“Usman displayed a personal message (armband) during the first Test Match against Pakistan without seeking the prior approval of Cricket Australia and the ICC to display it, as required in the regulations for personal messages. This is a breach under the category of an ‘other breach’ and the sanction for a first offence is a reprimand,” added the spokesperson.

As of Thursday, this is the charge against Khawaja and sanction is yet to be confirmed. He would not be in doubt for the Boxing Day Test against Pakistan even if the reprimand came to pass, and even a fourth such sanction in a year would only result in a penalty of 75 per cent of the match fee rather than a suspension. Nevertheless, it is unclear what would happen if Khawaja kept wearing the armband at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

The clothing and equipment regulations of ICC state: “Players and team officials shall not be permitted to wear, display or otherwise convey personal messages on their clothing, equipment or otherwise, irrespective of whether such messages are affixed to clothing, equipment or otherwise and whether such messages are displayed or conveyed through the use of the specific clothing or other items (eg. an armband) or by the use of words, symbol, graphic message, images or otherwise (‘personal messages’), unless approved in advance by both the player or team official’s board and the ICC Cricket Operations Department. Approval shall not be granted for messages which relate to political, religious or racial activities or causes.”

Ahead of the Perth Test, after not opting to wear the shoes with humanitarian messages written on it, Khawaja had posted an emotional message on social media that he was not making a political statement and added that he would fight for his right to express himself.

“What I have written on my shoes is not political. I am not taking sides,” he said.

“Human life to me is equal. One Jewish life is equal to one Muslim life is equal to one Hindu life and so on. I am just speaking up for those who do not have a voice,” he added.

“The ICC have told me I cannot wear my shoes on the field because they feel it is a political statement under their guidelines. I do not believe it is so. It is a humanitarian appeal. I will respect their view and decision. But I will fight it and seek to gain approval,” concluded the batter.

Ahead of the Perth Test, Cricket Australia (CA) had also commented on the matter through a statement saying, “We support the right of our players to express personal opinions. But the ICC has rules in place which prohibit the display of personal messages which we expect the players to uphold.”

The opener is due to speak in Melbourne on Friday.

On Thursday, December 21, the Odisha unit of BJP took offence to a video of social media influencer and Curly Tales founder Kamiya Jani talking to BJD leader VK Pandian on Jagannath temple premises. Reacting to the video, Odisha BJP questioned how a “promoter of beef consumption like Jani” was granted access to Jagannath temple premises.

Calling for immediate action, the BJP demanded that a case be registered against Pandian and Jani under IPC Section 295 A and both be arrested immediately.

The Odisha unit of BJP shared a screenshot of Kamiya Jani’s old video where she is seen promoting “beef dishes” alongside a snippet from the current video in question that showed Kamiya Jani promoting the Puri Srimandir Heritage Corridor project and Mahaprasad along with BJD leader Pandian. The party wrote, “The sacred sanctity of Puri Srimandir, rich with historical and spiritual heritage, has been shamefully disregarded by VK Pandian, the chairman of 5T, who callously allowed a beef promoter into the revered premises of Jagannath Mandir. @bjd_odisha remains indifferent to the sentiments of Odia and the sanctity of Jagannath Culture! Those responsible must face swift and severe consequences.”

Odisha BJP General Secretary Jatin Mohanty echoed similar sentiments as he said, “Social media influencer Kamiya Jani is a promoter of beef consumption. As per the law of Srimandir, no beef-eater could enter the temple without ‘prayaschita’ (penance). VK Pandian has made a crime by facilitating the entry of Kamiya into the temple. The incident has hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus and devotees of Lord Jagannath.”

“We demand that the government should take immediate action against VK Pandian and Kamiya Jani. The temple administration should also seek an apology before the people of Odisha for allowing the incident to happen. As per the rituals of Srimandir, the temple should be sanctified after due consultation with Puri Shankaracharya and all the priests. Otherwise, BJP will move to court seeking justice in this regard,” Mohanty added.

Kamiya Jani, meanwhile, took to Instagram to respond to the controversy. In her Instagram story, the social media influencer wrote that she has never eaten beef.

“As an Indian, my mission is to take Indian culture and heritage to the world. I have been visiting all the Jyotirlingas and char dhams of India and what a privilege it’s been. Woke up to this strange article in newspaper questioning my visit to Jagannath temple. Not that anyone has reached out to me yet but just here to clarify that I don’t and have never eaten beef. Jai Jagannath,” Kamiya Jani wrote.

It may be noted that while Kamiya Jani has said that she has never eaten beef, her channel has on several occasions promoted restaurants and places that sell beef items.

Meanwhile, BJD leader VK Pandian and Srimandir Temple Administration have not reacted to the controversy yet.

At least 10 people were killed and several others injured in a horrific shooting incident at Charles University in Czech Republic capital Prague on 21st December. Czech police said that the shooter was also shot dead, while around 30 persons were injured.

Police said that the shooting took place at a school in Jan Palach Square, and police forces were deployed in the area. The philosophical faculty of Charles University and the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design are located in that location.

Police said that the spot has been sealed, and urged people to leave the nearby areas and stay indoors. Several police officers were also injured in the gunfight with the shooter before the attacker allegedly killed himself. The shooter has been named David Kozak by local media.

24 years old David Kozak was a student at the philosophy faculty of Charles University.

Posting on X, Czech police said that shortly after 3 p.m. (1400 GMT) it was responding to a school shooting at Prague’s Jan Palach Square, before reporting the shooter was “eliminated”.

The police posted several follow-up tweets, and said in one tweet: “The shooter has been eliminated !!! The entire building is currently being evacuated and there are several dead and dozens of injured.”

The police said that the entire building was being evacuated, and there were several deaths and tens of injuries, without giving numbers.

Interior Minister Vit Rakusan said, “According to preliminary information, the shooter himself should be dead, there are dead and wounded on site, I will not speculate now about the final number.”

Prime Minister Petr Fiala cancelled his trip to the east of the country and was returning to Prague, he said on X. “Due to the tragic events at the Faculty of Philosophy in Prague, I have cancelled the work program in Olomouc and am going back to Prague,” he tweeted.

A new criminal justice era begins in India, three momentous bills replacing IPC, CrPC and Evidence Act passed by Rajya Sabha

Three momentous Bills to replace the Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure and Indian Evidence Act were passed by the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

Home Minister Amit Shah replied to the debate on the three bills and said that the three new criminal justice laws have drawn from India’s own legal jurisprudence and with their implementation, the country will have vast contributions of technology in its criminal justice system.

Replying to the debate in Rajya Sabha on bills that seek to replace the Indian Penal Code (IPC) of 1860, the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and Indian Evidence Act, Amit Shah said the implementation of new criminal laws will ensure an end to ‘tareekh pe tareekh’ era and justice will be given in three years.

The Bharatiya Nyaya (Second) Sanhita 2023; Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha (Second) Sanhita 2023; and Bharatiya Sakshya (Second) Bill 2023 seek to replace the IPC, CrPC and the Evidence Act respectively.

The House earlier took up discussion on the Bharatiya Nyaya (Second) Sanhita, 2023, the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha (Second) Sanhita, 2023 and the Bharatiya Sakshya (Second) Bill, 2023. The three bills were passed by Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

Amit Shah said in his reply that for the first time, changes have been made in the three laws governing the nearly 150-year-old criminal justice system.

He said that after the three new laws are implemented, India’s criminal justice system will take maximum advantage of technology.

“If there will be maximum contribution of technology in any system, it will be in the Indian system…The aim of the three bills is not provide punishment but give justice,” he said

He said that in old laws, instead of crimes against women, priority was given to the protection of the Treasury and the British Crown.

Shah said the government has removed the section of sedition and replaced sedition with treason.

The debate on the key bills did not see participation from most opposition parties, as 46 of their members have been suspended from the House for the remainder of winter session for “misconduct”.

The amended bills to replace Indian Penal Code of 1860, Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) of 1973 and Indian Evidence Act, of 1872 were introduced in Lok Sabha by the Home Minister last week.

Minister of Women, Child Development and Minority Affairs Smriti Z Irani revealed that her father ceased actively participating in politics following the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. She said this in a recent podcast with ANI Editor-in-Chief Smita Prakash. According to the Bharatiya Janata Party leader, her father left active politics after the tragic incident. “I saw him crying. A man who belonged to a different generation politically and ideologically expressed ‘I want to meet the Prime Minister once’ after which he met Prime Minister Modi.”

She added, “He acknowledged India’s rising status in the international arena. It feels like the end of a life cycle and everything has changed completely when my 74-year-old father told me that he had to thank PM Modi once.” Furthermore, Irani addressed Goa’s Silly Souls Cafe controversy which was related to her daughter Zoish Irani and called it wrong and unfair. “My 18-year-old daughter was dragged into it. Sometimes I cause a great deal of suffering for my children.”

Last year, Congress leaders demanded that the prime minister remove her from the cabinet accusing Zoish Irani of operating an illicit bar in Goa. Denouncing the charges Smriti Irani slammed Congress leaders and demanded that they show her daughter’s name on the show cause notice they had displayed during a press conference.

Smriti Irani mentioned in the interview that the arithmetic examination was quite difficult while her son Zohr Irani was in the tenth grade. Other students made fun of him and taunted that his mother might have set the paper because she was the Minister of Human Resource Development at the time. Notably, she has been a significant part of the Modi government’s cabinet since the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won in 2014. She serves as a Lok Sabha MP from Amethi where she defeated Rahul Gandhi of the Congress.

Recently, the parliamentarian and her father Ajay Kumar Malhotra had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She remarked that it is similar to a parent-teacher conference while sharing a photo of the same and humorously wrote, “When the boss meets the father and you pray they don’t exchange complaints about you.”

Smriti Irani divulged that her father had mentioned that PM Modi is doing an excellent job and that India’s standing in the world has improved greatly. He then voiced the desire to convey his gratitude to the prime minister in person.

The protesting wrestlers led by Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia, and Vinesh Phogat faced a massive setback after former Commonwealth Games Gold medallist Anita Sheoran lost the election for the post of the president of the Wrestling Federations of India (WFI). Sheoran, who was supported by the protesting wrestlers, was defeated by Sanjay Singh, who is close to former president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

Unhappy with the results of the election, Sakshi Malik has announced that she is retiring from the sport because Sanjay Singh is allegedly a business partner of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. She said in a press conference, “If somebody like Sanjay Singh, who is a business partner and friend of Brij Bhushan Singh is elected as the new president, I am quitting wrestling.”

As Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is a BJP MP, left-liberals are already attacking the BJP over Sanjay Singh becoming the new WFI president. However, ‘fact-checker’ and Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair went ahead, claiming that Sanjay Singh was appointed to the sports body by BJP, and he was not elected.

Quoting an ANI tweet showing Sakshi Malik breaking while exiting the press conference, Md Zubair tweeted, “Tweet like BJP: 60+ crore Indian Women insulted by BJP by appointing Former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s close Aid as the new president of Wrestling Federation of India.”

While he was trying to take on BJP’s claim that the opposition insulted the Jat community by doing a mimicry on Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, he resorted to using false claims in the tweet. Zubair claimed that the BJP appointed Sharan Singh as the new president of Wrestling Federation of India. He said that Sanjay Singh is a close aide of former WFI chief and sexual harassment accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, trying to imply that it should disqualify him from the post.

It is obvious that BJP or any political party, or even the government, can’t appoint the WFI president, or any head of any sporting federation in the country. Any interference in running sporting bodies, including the selection of officials, results in the suspension of such a body by the parent global body. In fact, WFI is already suspended by United World Wrestling for not holding the elections on time, and now that suspension is expected to be lifted.

Sanjay Singh has been elected as the new WFI president, he was not ‘appointed’ to the post as alleged by Islamist propagandist Zubair. The election is held as per Model Election Guidelines of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sport. The details of how elections are conducted as mentioned in the WFI constitution.

As per Article IV of the constitution, All State Wrestling Associations and Union Territory Wrestling Associations are entitled to send 2 Representatives to the General Council. Each Representative have one vote.

Accordingly, the elections for 15 posts of the WFI including the president were held in Delhi on 21st December. Besides president, elections were held for the posts of a senior vice-president, four vice-presidents, a secretary general, a treasurer, two joint secretaries and five executive members.

Out of a total of 47 votes, Sanjay Singh got 40 votes, while Anita Sheoran received only 7 votes. Reportedly, candidates in Brish Bhushan’s camp won 13 out of the 15 positions.

Therefore, it can’t be even claimed that federations in BJP-ruled states voted for Singh, because there are more than 7 states where non-BJP parties are in power. This clearly shows that a majority of the members voted for Singh, while the support for Sheoran, supported by protesting wrestlers, is very low.

However, these facts do not bother ‘fact-checker’ Zubair to claim that Sanjay Singh has been appointed as WFI president by the BJP.

The election of a new president means that the suspension of WFI by the global wrestling body United World Wrestling will be lifted. UWW had suspended WFI for failing to hold elections before the August deadline, and Indians wrestlers have been competing as neutral athletes at international events after that. WFI elections were originally scheduled for July, before the deadline, but it was deferred multiple times due to court cases.

Maharashtra Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha on Thursday lodged a complaint at Kalachowki police station in Mumbai and demanded the registration of an FIR against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee over the mimicry row of Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar.

In a post on X, Maharashtra Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha said, “We lodged a police complaint against Trinamool Congress MPs Kalyan Banerjee and Rahul Gandhi for their disrespectful remarks against the esteemed Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. In a firm stand against this incident, we also orchestrated a protest march from Bharatmata Cinema to Lalbagh Police Station.”

The controversy erupted after suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee, during the protest with other suspended MPs at Parliament’s Makar Dwar, was seen mimicking Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was seen filming the Trinamool MP using his phone.

In his first remarks on the ongoing mimicry controversy, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said that the media is entirely focused on showing the mimicry incident and not highlighting the pain and agony of the suspended MPs, adding that What can be done if the “media is totally running on one line”.

“MPs were sitting there, I shot their video. My video is on my phone. The media is showing it. Nobody has said anything.150 of our MPs have been thrown out (of the House) but there is no discussion on that in the media. There is no discussion on Adani, no discussion on Rafale, no discussion on unemployment,” Rahul Gandhi said.

“Our MPs are disheartened and sitting outside. Please show their side also. What can we do if you are totally running on one line,” he added.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dialled Jagdeep Dhankhar to express his anguish over the theatrics of a member in the ‘sacred’ Parliament complex.

BJP is also staging protests in parts of the country over the ongoing controversy.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders on Thursday staged a protest at Jantar Mantar against the opposition MPs and demanded an apology from them.

During the protest, BJP leader Manoj Tiwari came down heavily on the opposition over the insult to the Vice President of India. “This was an insult to farmers, his (Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar) community, and those sitting in constitutional posts. Rahul Gandhi, Congress, and their alliance will have to bear its brunt,” Tiwari said.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Bharatiya Janata Party held a protest in Bhopal against the opposition MPs and demanded an apology from them over the mimicry row.

Pakistan: Family of minor Hindu girl alleges Sajid forcefully converted her to Islam and performed Nikah with her, forged affidavit to hide her age

In continuance of the unending atrocities on Hindus in Pakistan, yet another underage Hindu girl was abducted and forcibly converted to Islam in Sindh province. The victim identified as Indra Deewan, the daughter of Gyan Mal, was abducted by an Islamist named Sajid Hussain.

Sajid kidnapped her from her hometown in Tando Jam in Sindh’s Hyderabad. Subsequently, he converted her to Islam and gave her a new name, Naimat. Sajid Hussian married her after her conversion, using a forged affidavit to claim that the minor girl converted of her own free will. He manipulated her age in the affidavit to prove that she was not underage.

According to the affidavit posted on X by a Pakistani Christian named Faraz Pervaiz, Indra’s age is stated as 19 years in the forged affidavit dated December 15, 2023. However, the victim’s real age is confirmed as 16 in her school certificates presented by her parents. The Hindu girl’s date of birth as per the school certificates is June 2nd, 2007.

As can be read in the forged affidavit, it is claimed that the victim confirmed that she is a “virgin” Muslim lady aged about 19 years “having full Mature understand and Know the Rights and wrong of Life in it totality.”

The affidavit further mentions that the victim’s parents wanted to marry their daughter off to some other person, however, she refused the comply and was adamant about marrying the accused Sajid Hussain. It adds that Indra now Naimat confirms that she was not kidnapped by anyone and that she made her choice out of free will without any coercion, fraud, duress and harassment.

Following the victim’s conversion to Islam and Nikah, her abductor Sajid filed a counter-FIR against her parents struggling to retrieve their daughter. Sajid claimed that the girl’s parents threatened to murder him and Naimat (Indra). Sajid claimed that the victim’s family were opposed to Indra’s conversion to Islam and Nikah and were threatening them to dissolve the marriage and send the girl back to her family otherwise they implicate him in false cases using their power and money.

Knowing that power is the last thing the persecuted Hindus have in Pakistan, the veracity of these claims made by the abductor is questionable.

Kidnappings and forced conversions of Hindu girls to Islam in Sindh have become a matter of grave concern for Pakistani Hindus. There has been an upsurge in such cases in Sindh in recent months, with lower courts overwhelmed with applications from afflicted parents demanding justice and the return of their abducted children.

Not a day goes by in Pakistan when in some parts of the country a Hindu girl or those belonging to other religious minorities including Sikhs are not abducted and converted. It is also common for a Pakistani court to hand over the converted victim to her abductor instead of delivering justice and protecting the right to practice her original faith and her dignity.
