Sayema lies about endorsing derogatory Hinduphobic tweet, propaganda outlet ‘Team Saath’ comes to her rescue with bizarre excuse

On Tuesday (September 12), ‘radio jockey’ Sayema courted controversy for brazenly lying about not encouraging a Hinduphobic tweet, posted by Youtuber Shyam Meera Singh.

The propaganda artist was seen virtue signalling on social media about the need to ‘repair’ hate and prejudice, which has somehow gripped the lives of normal citizens. At that point, an X (formerly Twitter) user named Sarvin pointed out how Sayema was at the helm of endorsing Hinduphobia.

“Sit down hatemonger,” he wrote while attaching a tweet by the ‘radio jockey’ responding to a Hinduphobic tweet with a laughing emoji. The original tweet, in question, was posted by controversial YouTuber Shyam Meera Singh.

He had attacked the Faith of a Republic TV journalist named Shweta Singh by claiming that Lord Krishna had 16 wives and that Draupadi had 5 husbands. The Youtuber mocked her and asked, “Which type of Hindu are you?”

He insinuated that Shweta must have been in a polygamous relationship by virtue of her Hindu Faith. Sayema was seen endorsing the uncouth remarks of Shyam Meera Singh (archive) with a laughing emoji. Despite this, she had the gall to lecture others about ‘repairing’ hate and prejudice.

When X user Sarvin pointed out her hypocrisy, the radio jockey brazenly claimed that the tweet was ‘morphed’ and ‘fake’ (although the archive of the tweet clearly reflects otherwise).

Screengrab of the tweet by Sayema

“If you have my sense of responsibility and conscience, go through all my tweets and don’t go by fake, morphed images of my tweet. Some people have been employed to defame voices that rattle them. Open your eyes. Don’t be blind to sick realities around. Have a good day,” she had claimed in her defence.

When netizens exposed her lies, she was quick to claim that the tweet posted by ‘Sarvin’ was somehow cropped.

Sayema alleged, “Because haters have been employed to present lies their way, I am glad I had clarified soon after. Also, why is the last line of Shyam’s tweet erased from the original one? You won’t be able to hide your vile intentions.”

She also shared the link to another tweet, where the ‘radio jockey’ was seen dubbing the Hinduphobia of Shyam Meera Singh as the ‘truth.’

Propaganda outlet ‘Team Saath’, known for unleashing online Islamist mob after nationalists and pro-India celebrities, came to the defence of Sayema with a bizarre logic.

“Here is a clarification. This post is not fake, but the screenshot is cropped in order to hide the last line. Just received this information from @_sayema.Still it comes under targetted harassment,” it claimed.

‘Team Saath’ conveniently ignored the fact that X user ‘Sravin’ had posted a screenshot. At times, it is difficult to accommodate a complete tweet in one screenshot. This was also pointed out by another X user, Kartikey Pandey.

The presence or absence of the last line of the tweet of Shyam Meera Singh in a screenshot does not negate the Hinduphobic nature of his tweet. It also does not change the fact that ‘radio jockey’ Sayema retweeted it with 3 laughing emojis and thus endorsed the objectionable content of his post.

After being caught off guard, Sayema and her close-knit ecosystem of leftists and Islamists are coming up with bizarre excuses to absolve her of any wrongdoing.

Illegal sand mining scam: ED conducts raids at over 40 locations across Tamil Nadu

0

The Enforcement Directorate is conducting raids at over 40 locations in Tamil Nadu pertaining to the illegal sand mining case. Sand mafia, businessmen, and state officials are also under the ED scanner. The premises of two industrialists namely S Ramachandra and Dindigul Rathinam are reportedly being searched.

The searches are being conducted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. The agency is also investigating alleged large-scale tax evasion in selling sand mined from riverbeds. According to local media, raids are also being conducted at Dindigul Rathnam’s relative’s house. Raids are underway reportedly in 10 districts including Chennai, Trichy, Pudukottai, and Dindigul.

The central agency has reportedly said that the businessmen, despite having licenses to carry out sand mining, were conducting operations beyond the provision of law. The mining portfolio in the MK Stalin-led government is held by Durai Murugan, General Secretary of the DMK.

A local media report has claimed that the ED is also searching locations linked to officials working in the Tamil Nadu Water Resources Management of the Public Works Department (PWD). In Pudukottai, armed CRPF personnel accompanied ED officials during the raids. The local media has also claimed that evidence of sand being loaded in vehicles with fake receipts, fake QR codes, and fake signatures of Assistant Engineers, PWD Water Resources Department has been seized.

Properties of Tamil Nadu minister Senthil Balaji’s business associates are also being searched by the ED. The DMK minister is already accused of an alleged cash-for-jobs scam.

Moreover, 10 premises of the minister’s unnamed aide are being raided in the state, according to an NDTV report quoting sources. However, a report by News18 citing sources claimed that the cases are not related to Minister Senthil Balaji.

The raids come a day after the Principal Sessions Court heard Senthil Balaji’s bail plea and directed the agency to respond on 15th September.

Meanwhile, Senthil Balaji is lodged in the Puzhal central prison after the ED arrested him on 14th June following raids at his official residence and office.

Haryana: Gau Rakshak Monu Manesar arrested, to be handed over to Rajasthan Police

0

Gau Rakshak Monu Manesar has been arrested by Haryana Police on Tuesday (September 12) and will be subsequently transferred to Rajasthan Police custody.

Manesar, a prominent Bajrang Dal leader, and a member of Haryana’s Gurugram administration’s special cow protection task force, was named in cases involving the deaths of three Muslim men in Rajasthan, although the police had admitted that they could not find any direct involvement of Manesar in the case.

Addressing the media in August, Rajasthan DGP Umesh Mishra categorically stated that no direct involvement of Gaurakshak Mohit Yadav, known as Monu Manesar, was found in this alleged double murder case.

Responding to a question regarding Monu Manesar, DGP Mishra said, “Our team visited Nuh to investigate the matter. I would not like to blame Haryana Police. We have a professional approach. We asked them for help. The main issue is actionable intelligence. If there is intelligence, he will be caught. Let me also tell you that he (Monu Manesar) is not among those who were directly involved or were present on the spot or had direct involvement in the incident. However, police are investigating whether he played any indirect role in this case or not.”

Monu Manesar blamed for Islamist violence against Hindu devotees of Jalabhishek Yatra in Nuh

Manesar was recently in the headlines after some social media users accused him of provocation by vowing to attend the Jalabhishek Yatra on July 31. While Manesar did not attend the rally, Islamists in Nuh ran riot, attacking the Hindu devotees, which led to the death of at least 7 people.

Preliminary investigation into the violence revealed that Islamists had used the pretext of Manesar attending the rally to mobilise support for disrupting the Shobha Yatra. WhatsApp groups were created in advance that directed members to stock up on stones and bottles to attack the rally.

Canada PM Justin Trudeau still ‘stranded’ in India as the replacement plane to get him fails to reach Delhi

0

On Tuesday (12 September), the turbulent and disastrous India trip of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau got extended further for unforeseen reasons. Reportedly, a backup aircraft that was on its way from Canada to pick up the ‘stranded’ leader was diverted to London adding woes to an already painful New Delhi visit for the Liberal party leader.

Trudeau, who had arrived in New Delhi to attend the G20 Summit, got stranded after his plane developed a technical snag on Sunday (September 10). His replacement flight, en route to New Delhi via Rome, took an unscheduled diversion toward London. However, no reasons were specified for this abrupt diversion.

It is expected that the diversion will further delay the departure of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who was supposed to fly out of New Delhi on September 10 after the completion of the G20 Summit. Now, the leader could have to stay in Delhi for the third unscheduled night.

Speaking on the unexpected development, the Canadian Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said that the earliest the plane would leave London is early Tuesday morning (local time), CBC News reported.

The inauspicious and humiliating drama over his departure has worsened the nightmarish India trip for the Canadian leader. His participation in the G20 summit seemingly turned out in an embarrassment for the Canadian government on the global stage as his trip made headlines for all the wrong reasons.

During the G20 leaders summit, Trudeau was snubbed by all major world leaders. Notably, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held several bilateral meetings with world leaders on the sidelines of the G20 Summit.

He was only granted a “pull-aside meeting” with the Indian PM. The release by the Ministry of External Affairs regarding the pull-aside meeting read,  “The nexus of such forces with organized crime, drug syndicates, and human trafficking should be a concern for Canada as well. It is essential for the two countries to cooperate in dealing with such threats. Prime Minister also mentioned that a relationship based on mutual respect and trust is essential for the progress of the India-Canada relationship.”

Other than a pull-aside meeting with PM Modi, no other world leader had any bilateral talk with the Canadian PM, except World Bank President Ajay Banga.

Not only did Trudeau get snubbed by the world leaders who were being hosted and led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but he has also been receiving flak on his home turf. Global coverage of the G20 Summit shows Trudeau in a bad light at a time when the Liberal Party of Canada (LPC) leader is desperately attempting to keep his minority government in power.

Egypt imposes ban on hijab and niqab in schools, allows hair covers but they must not hide the student’s face

0

The Egyptian government has made a decision to restrict the wearing of the niqab (full-face veil) by girls in schools during the new academic year, which begins on September 30 this year.

Reda Hegazy, Egypt’s Minister of Education, publicly announced the decision and described the new guidelines. Hair covers are permissible, according to Minister Hegazy, but they must not obscure the student’s face. Furthermore, unless approved by the Directorate of Education, no models or illustrations promoting the hair cover are permitted, he said.

Minister Hegazy also emphasized the responsibility of the guardian in the student’s decision. “It is crucial that the guardian is aware of and consents to their daughter’s decision to wear a hair cover, and this choice should be entirely voluntary, free from any external pressure or coercion,” the Minister said.

As per the reports, the ministry has adopted a coordinated strategy for school uniforms. The school board will decide on the appropriate uniform colour for both male and female students in conjunction with the board of trustees, parents, and teachers. The decision will be taken in collaboration with the competent Directorate of Education, ensuring that students have a unified and coordinated appearance at the school.

Minister Hegazy also emphasised that modifications to school uniforms should be considered at the start of each educational stage, with a minimum of three years between alterations. Guardians will decide where to purchase uniforms, but kids must follow the uniform regulations. Any student caught in violation of these rules will be barred from entering or attending school, he added.

Apart from Egypt, several countries like Austria, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Canada, France, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan have imposed bans on the wearing of headscarves at schools and colleges.

Recently, in the year 2022, the Karnataka High Court in India also pronounced its verdict on wearing hijab in schools. The court upheld the ban and ruled that wearing of hijab is not an essential religious practice of the Islamic faith.

The hijab controversy in Karnataka gained traction in the first week of January last year when eight Muslim girls were denied entry to classes at a Udupi college as they wore hijabs. The college authorities had informed that the hijab was not a part of the uniform dress code mandated for the students.

The Muslim girls, who were adamant about wearing hijab, subsequently petitioned the High Court to be allowed to attend classes while wearing hijab. They claimed that donning the Hijab was both an “integral practice of Islam” and their “fundamental right” guaranteed by Articles 14 and 25 of the Indian Constitution.

However, the court ruled that wearing of hijab is not an essential religious practice of the Islamic faith.

Khalistani separatists in Canada issue fresh threats to Indian diplomats in Ottawa while PM Trudeau is in Delhi, India-Canada relations further worsen

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the leader of the outlawed terrorist group Sikh Forum for Justice, has just released a new video in which he yet again issues veiled threats to the Indian Government. This comes at a time when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his strong disapproval of Canada for providing a safe haven to Khalistani terrorists.

In the video, shared by journalist Aditya Raj Kaul on September 12, Pannun, wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, is reportedly asking India to shut the Indian High Commission in Ottawa.

He further threatened India by saying that SFJ would target the Indian High Commissioner to Canada, Sanjay Kumar Verma, in response to Justin Trudeau’s embarrassment in India.

On September 11, the journalist shared another video of Pannun making a public appearance at the Khalistan referendum event organised by SFJ at a gurdwara in British Columbia, Canada on Sunday. In it, the Khalsitani terrorist is heard delivering an inciteful speech calling for ‘Balkanising India’. He is seen escorted by a team of security guards.

Notably, the referendum was organised in Canada on the same day when Canadian PM Justin Trudeau visited India to attend the G20 Summit, where PM Narendra Modi conveyed India’s strong concerns about the continuing anti-India activities of extremist elements in Canada.

In the video, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a Khalistani terrorist heading the Sikh Forum for Justice and henchman of the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI held PM Modi, HM Amit Shah, NSA Ajit Doval and EAM S Jaishankar responsible for the killing of his close aide Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the Khalistani terrorist who was shot dead by two unidentified persons in Surrey in Canada’s British Columbia.

The Government of India had previously declared Hardeep Singh Nijjar a terrorist. The Indian government published a list of 41 individuals recognised as terrorists, among whom Hardeep Nijjar’s name was also featured.

Promising to avenge the killing of Nijjar, Pannun threatened by saying, “Those you assassinated Nijjar we are calling for your political death. We are coming for you. We are going to challenge the territorial integrity. We are going to challenge India’s sovereignty. We are going to Balkanise India. Until we do not kill you politically we are not going anywhere,” Pannun is heard saying, pushing his supporters to repeat after him, “Delhi banega Khalistan” (Delhi will become Khalistan).

Meanwhile, a Khalistani poster calling for the assassination of Indian Diplomats also emerged in Delta, Canada on Monday, September 11, the day Canadian PM Justin Trudeau was ‘stranded’ in India post the conclusion of the G20 Summit on Sunday following a technical issue with his flight.

As visible in the pictures that have emerged on social media, the poster seems to be placed outside a Gurudwara. A Canadian police officer could also be spotted standing by the roadside where the poster has been placed.

Interestingly, just before the G20 Summit was to kickstart on September 9 in Delhi, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun appealed to his followers through a video to mail to a website and register a demand to hold a referendum in India for the formation of Khalistan. Besides, he also released an audio message. In this audio message, Pannun provoked Kashmiri Muslims to leave the Kashmir Valley and come to Delhi and block Delhi during the G-20 Summit.

Canada has become a hotbed of anti-India and anti-Hindu activities as well as a safe haven for Khalistani terrorists and criminals. India has time and again sent out strong messages to the Justin Trudeau-led Canadian government urging them to halt extremist activities in the country, however, the Trudeau government due to its vote bank politics has refrained from taking any concrete action against the same. The Trudeau government has offered a standard excuse that people in his country have the right to assemble and express their views peacefully and without violating the law, despite India raising the issue of Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) run by Sikh extremist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun with the Canadian government and national security agencies.

PM Modi conveys strong concerns about continuing anti-India activities of Khalistani elements in Canada during ‘pull-aside’ meeting with PM Trudeau

It may be noted that Gurpatwant Singh Pannun-led SFJ had carried out all the aforementioned anti-India activities in Canada while the country’s PM Justin Trudeau is in India for the G20 Summit.

In fact, even during the recently concluded G20 Summit, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with his Canadian counterpart Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in a pull-aside meeting, the PM conveyed strong concerns of India over the continuous anti-India activities by Khalistanis in Canada.

Pointing out how the Canadian soil is being used for anti-India and Hinduphobic activities by pro-Khalistan elements, PM Modi firmly conveyed to Trudeau that Khalistan fundamentalists are threatening the Indian community in Canada and their places of worship, encouraging secessionism, provoking violence against Indian diplomats and damaging diplomatic facilities.

Interestingly, Narendra Modi held bilateral meetings with world leaders including US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and French President Emmanuel Macron, among others, however, it was a ‘pull-aside meeting on the sidelines’ with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

A pull-aside meeting is not a formal bilateral meeting and is ranked below a bilateral meeting. A pull-aside meeting can take place whenever two leaders meet.

Maharashtra: Clashes erupt in Satara’s Pusegaon over objectionable post against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, 1 dead, 23 arrested

On Monday, September 11, massive clashes erupted in the Pusegaon region of Maharashtra’s Satara district after an individual posted an objectionable post insulting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The incident resulted in the emergence of communal clashes resulting in the death of two persons.

The Satara police have identified and arrested the accused person who posted the objectionable post causing insult to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The police have also booked him under the relevant sections of the law. Also, 23 suspects have been arrested who are said to have created mayhem in the village.

Amid the clashes, it has been reported that two individuals have lost their lives while 10-15 other persons have attained severe injuries. However, according to the police official, one person has been declared dead. The Police confirmed the development and stated that the members of two communities clashed in a village following an ‘objectionable’ social media post.

It is believed that the person who posted objectionable posts against Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj belonged to the minority community. However, no confirmation regarding the same could be obtained from the police source.

Satara police and district administration have declined to reveal the substance and type of the social media post, citing the case’s sensitivity. They also declined to reveal the identification of the dead or the 23 people arrested in connection with the incident so far.

However, OpIndia talked to the DSP Satara office who confirmed that the clashes began on September 10, a day after the ‘objectionable’ social media post was posted. “Media reports say two, but one person has been declared dead and he belongs to the minority community. He is a Muslim. All the suspected individuals have been arrested. Who launched the attack is not yet known. Also, the boy who posted the media post has been taken into custody,” one of the officers from DSP office Satara said.

He meanwhile also added that the fight was between the two communities but now the situation is calm as the internet and other services have been shut down. According to the media reports, some unidentified persons gathered in the main market area of Pusegaon set fire to several houses and shops and caused injuries to around 16-17 persons.

As a precaution, the administration has suspended internet access throughout the district and prohibitory orders have also been issued under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).

The police meanwhile is said to have filed two police reports in the case- one for posting objectionable post on social media and the other one for threatening, property destruction, and rioting and violence.

Satara Police meanwhile released a statement revealing that “some residents misunderstood the post as communal, posing a law-and-order situation on the ground.” The police have asked the residents to be calm and not believe in any kind of rumors.

Notice issued by Satara Police

At present, as per the ground details obtained by OpIndia, the internet services continue to remain ceased and the police are also patrolling the village of around 5000 houses to ensure peace is maintained in the area. Further investigations are underway.

USA: Florida’s Broward County passes resolution recognizing November as Hindu Heritage Month

0

Diwali celebrations just got grander for the Hindu community in Florida, USA. In another big win for the community, Broward County in Florida has recognized November as Hindu Heritage Month. A resolution was adopted by Broward County also recognizing the contributions of Hinduism in the form of Yoga, Ayurveda, meditation, food, music, arts, and much more.

The resolution was shared by the Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA) on social media platform X, formerly Twitter. CoHNA is a grassroots advocacy group representing the Hindu community of North America and seeks to protect the collective interests of the Hindu community.

The resolution reads: “Hinduism is one of the world’s largest and oldest religions with over 1.2 billion adherents in over 100 countries and which encompasses an array of diverse traditions and belief systems, also known as “Sanatana Dharma,” with core values of acceptance, mutual respect, freedom and peace.”

It further goes on to talk about the contributions of Hinduism to the world and that of Hindu Americans to the United States. The resolution document concludes by declaring that “the School Board of Broward County, Florida declares November as Hindu Heritage Month to recognize and celebrate the importance and valuable contributions of the Hindu community in Broward County.”

The resolution also mentioned the significance of Diwali in Hinduism. This comes following a petition called by the CoHNA seeking to declare Diwali as a school holiday in Broward County.

“We thank our volunteers who worked with our partners such as Networking for Hindu Professionals and local community leaders to make this happen,” the CoHNA posted on their X account.

In April this year, Georgia became the first American state to pass a resolution condemning Hinduphobia. The ordinance read, “In July 2022, a report released by Rutgers University titled “Anti-Hindu Disinformation: A Case Study of Hinduphobia on Social Media” detailed how hate messages in social media translate into real-life threats for people of the Hindu faith.”

Just last month, Georgia also passed a resolution declaring October as Hindu Heritage Month. On 18th May 2023, the first Hindu and Indian American Ohio State Senator Niraj Antani followed suit and introduced a resolution to condemn Hinduphobia. Antani had in February introduced another resolution to declare October as ‘Hindu Heritage Month.

The development shows the repeated triumphs of the Hindu community living abroad in upholding their religious rights in the face of the anti-Hindu lobbyists that are targeting the Hindu faith from all fronts.

Disturbing, dangerous trend: Naseeruddin Shah laments box office success of ‘The Kashmir Files’, and ‘The Kerala Story’

On Monday (September 11), actor Naseeruddin Shah cried foul over the overwhelming response of the audience to Hindu-centric movies such as ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘The Kerala Story.’

While speaking to Free Press Journal, he claimed, “Now the more jingoist you are the more popular you become, because this is what has been ruling this country. It’s not enough to love your country but beat drums about it and you have to create imaginary enemies.”

“What these people don’t realise is that what they are doing is very harmful. In fact, films like Kerala Story and Gadar 2, I haven’t seen them but I know what they are about, it’s disturbing that films like Kashmir Files are so massively popular…” Naseeruddin Shah lamented.

He blamed the audience for not supporting the films made by like-minded directors such as Sudhir Mishra, Anubhav Sinha, and Hansal Mehta. Shah claimed that the trio are known for portraying the ‘truth of our times.’

The controversial actor said, “Hundred years later people will see Bheed and they will also see Gadar 2 and see which one portrays the truth of our times because film is the only medium which could do that.”

“So regressive is a pretty mild word for what’s going on, it’s frightening where filmmakers are being coopted into making films which praise all the wrong things and run down other communities for no reason at all. It’s a dangerous trend,” he brazened it out.

Naseeruddin Shah rants against The Kerala Story, invokes Nazi Germany

However, this is not the first time that the actor has spoken against Hindu-centric movies that have received overwhelming responses from audiences. Earlier, Shah dubbed such movies as propaganda and claimed that the success of these movies is a “dangerous trend”.

Comparing the situation to Nazi Germany, the actor said, “On one hand, it is a dangerous trend, no doubt. We seem to be heading the way of Nazi Germany where in Hitler’s time, the filmmakers were co-opted, attempted to be co-opted, by the supreme leader to make films praising him and what he has done for the countrymen, and running down the Jewish community.”

Going further, he added, “So many master filmmakers in Germany left the place, came to Hollywood, and made movies there. The same thing seems to be happening here. Either stay on the right side, be neutral or pro-establishment.”

‘PoK will merge with India on its own, wait and watch’: Former Army chief and Union Minister General VK Singh in Rajasthan

0

Union Minister and former Army chief General VK Singh has stated that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) would merge with India soon “on its own”.

“PoK will merge with India on its own, wait for some time,” the Union minister for State said while responding to a query in a press conference here in Dausa regarding demands of Shia Muslims in PoK seeking opening of border crossing with India.

The minister was addressing a press conference in Dausa during a Parivartan Sankalp Yatra (PSY) program of the BJP.
The Union minister also spoke about the success of the recently concluded G20 Summit under India’s presidency. He said that that the grandeur of the summit has given India a unique identity on the world stage and the country has proved its mettle in the world.

“The G-20 meeting was unprecedented. It has never been done before nor any other country except India can organise a summit like this. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has proved its mettle in the world. The G-20 group includes all the powerful countries of the world,” Singh said.

Further, coming down heavily on the Rajasthan Government over the law and order situation, the minister alleged that under the current Congress government, the state is troubled by the poor law and order situation.

“This was the reason why the BJP had to organise the Parivartan Sankalp Yatra to go among the people and listen to them. The people want a parivartan (change) and they are coming with us on this yatra and have made up their mind to bring about change,” he said, adding that the yatra is getting immense public support across the state.

On the question about the BJP’s chief minister’s face in the state for the upcoming assembly elections, V K Singh said that the BJP does not declare the chief minister’s face wherever elections are held, but contests elections only on the charisma of the Prime Minister.

“Everyone should assume that the party will give opportunity to such leaders who are good, useful and on whom the public has confidence,” he said.
