Mewat under spotlight over death of two cattle smugglers. Here is how the region has become hotbed of terrorism, forced conversion and cow smuggling

0

Mewat region has been in the news once again after the death of two cattle smugglers identified as Junaid (35) and Nasir (25). The charred bodies of the duo were recovered in Haryana’s Bhiwani region.

Based on the complaint of the family members, the police arrested a man named Rinku Saini from Mewat in connection to the case. Mewat region, which falls over Rajasthan and Haryana, has been a hotbed of organised crime, cattle smuggling and illegal Rohingyas.

Attempts at conversion to Islam

In July 2017, teachers of the government-run Mewat Model School in Madhi village were accused of forcing two Hindu students to offer Namaz and convert to Islam. The accused were identified as Moinuddin, Mubarak Ali and Mohammed Arif.

In the aftermath of the incident, the victims were forced to leave the school. While the accused teachers were suspended by the administration initially, the local Muslims ambushed the school in the hopes of overturning the decision.

A year later in January 2018, a Dalit family living in the Mohlaka village of Mewat was brutally attacked by goons for refusing to convert to Islam. As per reports, casteist slurs were also hurled at the family.

The complainant, Kishan, informed that a villager named Islam was pressurising them to convert to his religion. After the Dalit family refused to give in, Islam and his accomplices, Taufeeq, Mosim, Ataru and Asmina, attacked them with sticks and iron rods. Kishan suffered grave injuries during the assault.

In July 2019, a man named Hzar Khan was arrested forcing his 22-year-old wife to file false cases of sexual assault against people and extort money.

“Hzar forced me to change my religion and marry him in 2017, a year after I started working at his Unani clinic. And soon after our marriage, he started torturing me mentally and physically,” the victim was quoted as saying by The Times of India.

In October 2020, a terrifying incident of attempted love jihad and forced conversion of non-Muslims into Islam came to the fore with the blood-curdling murder of a 21-year-old student named Nikita Tomar in Faridabad.

She was shot dead in broad daylight by two men outside the Aggarwal college in Ballabgarh, Faridabad. One of the two assailants, Tauseef was harassing her and making advances at Nikita.

Terror links in Mewat

In September 2018, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) busted a hawala module and arrested 3 terrorists associated with Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation, an organisation run by Hafiz Saeed’s Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The accused were identified as Mohammad Salman, Mohammad Salim and Sajjad Abdul Wani. Interestingly, Salman was a resident of Uttawar village in Mewat.

A month later, it came to light that the Khulafa-e-Rashideen mosque in the same village was built with funds received from the terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Cattle smuggling in the region

Mewat has been a hotbed of cow smuggling activities. In January 2019, the police raided the house of a man named Nishad in the Arandka village and recovered the flesh and skin of cows.

The police had found 20-22 kgs of beef and cowhide in the nearby field. The incident took place in the Tijara area of the Alwar district, which falls under the Mewat region.

In February of that year, a vehicle illegally carrying 8 calves broke through a police barricade near the Shahpur Kheda area of Ferozepur Jhirka in the Nuh district and mowed down the Additional Superintendent of Police in the process.

The perpetrators also open-fired at the cops with a country-made pistol. The police returned fired and managed to nab one of the perpetrators by the name of Mujib. It must be mentioned that Nuh forms part of the Mewat region which cuts across Rajasthan and Haryana.

In October 2019, a group of 6 cow smugglers shot a Bajrang Dal member in the Delhi NCR region while they were trying to escape towards Mewat from Sector 10 of Gurugram.

‘They wanted to overthrow democratically elected govt’: Pro-Khalistan Canadian lawmaker justifies Emergencies Act against ‘truckers protest’ in Canada

0

On February 16 (local time), pro-Khalistan Canadian lawmaker Jagmeet Singh justified imposing the Emergencies Act on protesters in Canada in 2022. While replying to a media query about the Emergencies Act Commission report that was released on February 17, 2023, Singh said that the protesters had a set goal in mind- To overthrow the ‘democratically elected government in Canada’.

In his statement, Jagmeet Singh claimed that the imposition of the Emergencies Act represented a failure on every level of the government to respond to the “serious problem of the convoy”. He blamed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for not considering the seriousness of the situation. Furthermore, he also targeted Ontario Premier Doug Ford and the Mayor of Ottawa for not taking the situation seriously in the initial stages.

Singh accused the protesters in the convoy of harassing citizens, food bank operatives, and those who were wearing masks. Singh claimed because of the protests, thousands of people lost thousands of working hours. “Businesses were shut down. Kids were struggling to go to school. People could not sleep at night… It was pretty horrible,” he said. He further claimed the police colluded and supported the convoy and said it failed to control the mess that led to the government being forced to impose the Emergencies Act.

‘They wanted to overthrow the democratically elected government’

Accusing the protesters of aiming at overthrowing the Trudeau-led government, Singh said, “It is important to keep in mind the convoy made their goals very clear. The central organizers made it very clear what their goal was. Their goal was to overthrow the government. They didn’t hide that. They stated it boldly on a website and they have repeated it in numerous press conferences. They wanted to overthrow a democratically elected government with a committee of their own choosing.”

He added, “Their goal was to overthrow the government and to replace it like in a fascist way without having any elections without having elected officials. It was pretty serious that security forces were still working with them despite their clearly stated goals.”

The hypocrisy of Jagmeet Singh at its best

It is funny that Jagmeet Singh blamed the protesters for “attempting to overthrow the government” in Canada and justified imposing the Emergencies Act to “prevent it”. Notably, on February 8, 2022, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau imposed the Emergencies Act. The action from the Canadian government was taken in response to the protests that started on January 29, less than 10 days before the Canadian government imposed the Act.

Reportedly, a convoy of 2700 trucks had entered Ottawa to protest against the ‘undemocratic’ Covid-19 policies of Justin Trudeau including mandatory vaccination for truckers entering Canada through the US-Canada border. Dubbed the ‘Freedom convoy’, it has amassed support from all sections of the public.

Jagmeet Singh is the same person who wholeheartedly and excitedly sided with the farmers blocking the Indian capital Delhi while protesting against the Government of India, just months before what happened in Canada. So much so, he offered dessert to Mia Khalifa, a Playboy model, and porn star, for supporting farmer protests. At that time, Jagmeet Singh and the Prime Minister of Canada Trudeau, and other lawmakers from the country tried to meddle with India’s internal matters and cheered on the protesters.

The protests against the now-revoked three Agriculture Laws created havoc in multiple states and created an economic loss of thousands of crores. It caused massive losses to businesses in Delhi and neighboring states. There were calls for removing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and even death threats were given from the platforms.

However, the same Jagmeet Singh who justified imposing the Emergencies Act had sided with the protesters in India for his own political brownie points, trying to appease Khalistani elements in Canada.

9-month pregnant wife of gaurakshak Shrikant kicked by Rajasthan Police says his mother, child dies in the womb

Haryana’s Bhiwani region is in news for the past few days after two charred dead bodies of cattle smugglers identified as Junaid (35) and Nasir (25) were found in a car. Based on the complaint filed by the family members of the deceased, the police alleged that the two were abducted by 5 Gaurakshaks and were burnt alive in Bhiwani’s Loharu area.

The deceased belonged to the Ghatmika village of Bharatpur, Rajasthan and hence, the complaint was filed by the family members in Rajasthan. The Police identified 4-5 accused in the case and arrested one of them recently. The arrested Gaurakshak who has been arrested in the case has been identified as Rinku Saini while others have been identified are Shrikant Pandit, Monu Manesar alias Mohit Yadav and a few other unknown members of his group.

The Rajasthan Police started the investigation in the case after the Police discovered the charred remains on February 16 and are searching for Yadav who is identified as the alleged prime accused in the case. It also is searching for other members of Yadav’s group including Shrikant who has been allegedly accused in the case.

Meanwhile, a real brutal side of Rajasthan Police came to the fore on February 17 when it reached Shrikant’s house and forcefully raided his premises in Haryana. The Police arrived at his house in Nuh late at night when everybody was fast asleep and forced his family members to open the gate. The Police then barged into the premises and assaulted the family members as they informed them that Shrikant was not at home and that he had gone outside for some work.

The Police pushed Shrikant’s mother, Dulari, and his 9-month pregnant wife, injuring all three- his mother, wife, and the to-be-born child. Reportedly, while raiding Shrikant’s room, the Police further happened to kick the womb of his pregnant wife, resulting in the death of the child inside the womb.

Shrikant’s mother Dulari, while describing the brutality of the Rajasthan Police, stated that the Police officer hit her daughter-in-law in the stomach. “After that my daughter-in-law complained of severe stomach pain. We immediately took her to the hospital where doctors operated on her to bring my dead grandchild out into this world. My grandchild was bleeding and had stopped breathing inside,” she said as she could not stop crying.

Meanwhile, Shrikant’s wife stated that around 4-5 Police vans arrived at their doorstep and forced them to open the house gates when everybody in the house was asleep. “This all happened before 4 am. I can’t remember the exact timing as we all were sleeping. The Police attacked my in-laws and injured my mother-in-law. We told them that Shrikant was not there at home but they didn’t listen. They damaged the furniture of our house and assaulted me. I was 9 months pregnant and doctors had said that the child would come into this world in the coming 15 days. The Police hit me in my stomach and my child was born dead,” said Shrikant’s wife who looked traumatized in the video shared by Sudarshan news journalist Sagar Kumar.

Reports mention that the Rajasthan Police also took Shrikant’s brothers Vishnu and Rahul away with them. Shrikant’s father said that the Police also attempted to arrest him but his wife, Dulari managed to convince the Police to at least leave him alone, given her daughter-in-law’s serious health condition.

Shrikant’s mother happened to file a police complaint in Nuh, Haryana, stating that around 30-40 persons dressed in Rajasthan Police uniforms entered her home at 3:30 am on February 17 and abducted her two sons named Vishnu and Rahul. She also said that they used abusive language for her and her family members and forcefully raided the premises, searching for Shrikant. She has demanded strict action against the culprits who hit her pregnant daughter-in-law, resulting in the death of her grandchild.

Rajasthan Police have alleged that Shrikant, Mohit Yadav, Rinku Saini, and other members of their Gaurakshak group have burnt Junaid and Nasir alive in Bhiwani’s Loharu region. However, Yadav who has been primarily framed in the case said that the Police are unnecessarily leveling allegations against them. He also said that he was in Gurugram when the incident happened and that the footage of his presence in Gurugram’s hotel is also available.

Junaid and Nasir were cattle smugglers, five FIRs already filed against Junaid

According to the Police, Junaid and Nasir from Bharatpur were engaged in cattle smuggling, and there are 4 to 5 FIRs already filed in their name. However, the duo never got arrested. Family members of the deceased alleged in the report that five members of Bajrang Dal caught Junaid and Nasir in Firozpur, Haryana, and attempted to take them to the police. However, the Police denied arresting the duo looking at their condition. Mohammad Jabir, a relative of Junaid and Nasir, further alleged that the Bajrang Dal members then took the duo to Bhiwani’s Loharu region, where their charred remains were recovered by the Police.

Prime ‘accused’ Yadav on target of cattle smugglers

It is important to note here that Mohit Yadav, who is the main accused in the case, is an active gaurakshak and that he has been on target of the cattle smugglers. Earlier in the year 2019, he was almost killed by cattle smugglers who fired bullets at him for protecting the cows from being smuggled.

Yadav works as gaurakshak in Mewat, a hotbed of cattle smuggling and violence against Police

Yadav has been working for Gauraksha in the Mewat region, which is spread across two Indian states, namely Rajasthan and Haryana. The loose boundaries of Mewat generally include Hathin tehsil and Nuh district of Haryana, Ferozepur Jhirka, Punahana, and Taoru. The region is said to be the hotbed of organized crime, cattle smuggling, and mob violence against the Police. It is also very susceptible to communal tensions. The villages here house a large Muslim population who have time and again launched attacks on the Police who investigate cases involving criminals.

Gaurakshak Mohit Yadav alias Manu Manesar

Earlier, in 2018, 13 policemen were injured after villagers of Rahri village reportedly attacked them with stones when they reached the village to arrest wanted ATM robber Rafiq, alias Bachhi. The villagers managed to free the criminal. Further, in August of that year, Villagers in Mewat attacked Police during an operation organized to nab wanted criminal Shabbir in a bid to free the criminal.

This has become a common trend in Mewat which the mainstream media or social media fails to highlight. Reports from 2016 suggest that the police in the Mewat region were scared to take action against the smugglers as they were and are even today supported by the locals there. The police in September 2016 had discovered 300 hides of cows stashed in a mini-truck that was traveling from Gurgaon to Mewat but could not take action against the smugglers. Later, the Alwar Police detected 72 cases of cattle smuggling in Alwar and 40 in Bharatpur. The corresponding numbers for 2015 were 100 and 30 respectively.

Mewat is afflicted with several such issues. However, the region is moving closer to even greater anarchy due to the conspiracy of silence around the true causes of the communal tinderbox that the entire area has become. Vigilantes tend to inevitably occupy the space the state has abandoned due to the region’s total breakdown of law and order and the Police’s inability to impose law and order.

Madhya Pradesh: Mahashivaratri procession attacked by Islamists in Chhindwara over playing DJ music, Hindus surround police station in protest

In another attack on the Mahashivaratri festival by Islamists, a religious procession was attacked in Madhya Pradesh yesterday. The incident happened at Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh on February 18, where Islamists stopped a Mahashivratri procession and asked the organisers to shut DJ playing religious music. As per reports, when Hindus refused, the Islamists allegedly pelted stones at the procession, and some of the devotees got injured.

According to reports, the Mahashivratri procession was taken out in the Lalgaon village of the Chand Police Station area. During the procession, a DJ vehicle running ahead of the procession was playing religious music. Suddenly some people from the Muslim community came in front of the vehicle and demanded to stop the music. When the Hindus refused, they started abusing Hindus. This led to a ruckus at the spot. After the Hindus refused to stop DJ music or change the route as demanded, the Islamists allegedly pelted stones at the procession.

Reportedly, around half a dozen Hindu devotees were injured in this attack.

Following this, some members of the Hindu community immediately reached Chand Police Station and informed them about the situation. Police reached the spot and controlled the situation. Later, a complaint was filed by activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad demanding the arrest of the accused.

After the word of the attack spread, a large number of Hindus arrived at the police station and surrounded it, protesting against the attack. They chanted slogans demanding strict action against the attackers. The protest with slogans started at around 4 PM and continued till 8 PM.

In the complaint, the Hindu organisation said that on February 18, a Mahashivratri Procession was taken out. During the procession, some members of the Muslim community stopped Hindus. They threatened not to hold any such processions in the future. “If the police fail to take any action against the accused, Hindu organisations will hold massive protests,” they said. They also identified some of the Muslim youth named Rashid Patel, Anwar Khan, Faisal Khan, Imran Khan, Rizwan Khan, Arshad Khan, Jahid Khan and Niyaz Khan who allegedly attacked Hindus.

VHP officials alleged they protested for over five hours, but the police could not arrest the accused. Hindu organisations have submitted a video as proof of the attack. In the video, it can be seen that 2-3 men came and asked the Shiva devotees to stop the DJ. They abused Hindus and created a ruckus. Members of Bajrang Dal and VHP alleged that those who stopped the procession were involved in similar incidents to create disputes between communities.

The police, on the other hand, said the investigation was underway. SDPO PS Balre has assured that proper action will be taken on the basis of the complaint filed.

Chief Minister to visit Chhindwara on Sunday

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has a program scheduled in Saunsar, Chhindwara, on February 19. Amidst the official program, members of Hindu organisations have announced a rally in Lalgaon.

Nikki Yadav Murder: Nikki’s death was planned so that Sahil could marry another girl

0

During an initial investigation, the police reported that Sahil and his family had allegedly plotted to kill Nikki Yadav. This statement was made in light of recent developments during the investigation of the Nikki Yadav murder case. After Sahil choked Nikki to death using a data cable in his car, his family members hid her body in the freezer of their family restaurant, police claimed. Sahil also deleted chats from the phones of his cousin and friend who helped him hide the body.

Today, on February 19, Delhi Police confirmed that the five accused, including Sahil’s father, Virender, his two cousins, and two friends, had ‘planned’ to get rid of her so that the principal perpetrator Sahil could get married a second time, to a woman of the family’s choice.

Earlier, it was assumed that Sahil had committed the crime during a fit of anger. Investigations started pointing in the direction of the idea that this was a ‘pre-planned’ conspiracy by his family after they were arrested.

Nikki and Sahil were thought to be a live-in couple. It was established through further investigation that the couple had been married since 2020. The police discovered their wedding certificate during the investigation. The priest who officiated at their wedding, Vipin Arya of Arya Samaj Mandir, reaffirmed this. He alleged that the couple told him their families approved of the union but were not attending the ceremony for some reason. Only one or two individuals were present when they got married, he added.

“Two elderly men came with Nikki Yadav and Sahil Gehlot when they came to Arya Samaj Temple to tie the knot. The couples, above the age of 18, who come for marriage at the temple are required to submit their documents for maintaining the record,” the priest said.

Police sources claimed that Sahil partied and danced with his friends at his engagement celebration on February 9 before murdering Nikki. The next day, he married another woman, hours after killing his first wife Nikki.

Aligarh Muslim University students to host a ‘dawat’ for Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmed amid protests because of marriage under Special Marriage Act

Days after Left-wing activist and Bollywood entertainer Swara Bhasker got married to Samajwadi Party leader Fahad Ahmed, the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) students have reportedly decided to host a wedding reception for the couple. It is notable that Fahad Ahmed has been an alumnus of AMU.

Fazal Hasan, former student union president of AMU has said that a ‘Dawat’ reception is being planned for the newly married couple adding that over 50-100 people are expected to attend the function.

“We are planning a ‘Dawat’ reception on the AMU campus for Swara Bhaskar & Fahad Ahmed. Around 50-100 people are expected. It is their personal life; the least we can do is give our blessings. The University will not be closed for anyone,” Hasan said.

Several media reports claim that a ‘Walima’ or reception party will be organized on the AMU campus, following which Swara and Fahad will be invited to AMU for a party celebrating their marriage.

Fazal Hasan said that a final decision over conducting the reception will be taken after a collective discussion as some people are against their marriage as it is done under the Special Marriage Act.

“Some people are protesting, everyone has a different perception. They have married under Special Marriage Act. This campus is for everyone. We will collectively discuss whether to conduct the reception,” Hasan added.

On Thursday, February 16, 2023, Swara Bhasker announced the news of her marriage from her Twitter handle. Swara informed her followers that their wedding was filed with the court on 6th January 2023 under the Special Marriage Act.

Notably, Fahad Ahmad is the State President of the Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha, the Samajwadi Party’s Youth Wing. He was General Secretary of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences before joining the Samajwadi Party in July 2022. The 31-year-old holds a bachelor’s degree from Aligarh Muslim University.

Slamming a section of Indian Muslims celebrating Swara and Fahad’s marriage a Chicago-based Islamic scholar Mufti Yasir Nadeem Al Wajidi claimed that Swara Bhasker’s marriage with Fahad Ahmed is ‘Islamically invalid’ since Swara has not converted to Islam and those celebrating their marriage are ‘infected with the disease of liberalism’.

George Soros a Holocaust survivor or ‘Nazi collaborator’? Listen to what he said about identifying Jews for Nazis in his own words

George Soros has been making headlines in India since he falsely accused the Modi government of colluding with the Adani Group. In a bid to stir sympathy in his favour, the supporters of the Hungarian-American billionaire have been trying to portray him as a ‘Holocaust survivor.’

This also gave them an opportunity to paint the Modi government as the ‘Nazi Regime’ that is somehow hellbent on silencing a man, who had supposedly witnessed the Holocaust from close quarters. Congress leader Sanjay Jha compared the current BJP regime to Hitler’s Nazi and accused them of criticising Soros who was a Holocaust survivor.

Journalist Debashish Roy Chowdhury compared the situation in Nazi Germany with India and suggested that the latter was heading towards an anti-Muslim genocide.

“Soros was in school when Nazi Germany occupied Hungary and was lucky enough to survive the Holocaust. He has seen this movie before, and doesn’t want to see it anywhere again. He senses what’s coming in India,” he claimed.

Senior correspondent for The Print, Nikhil Rampal, also tried to build a case for George Soros and referred to him as a ‘Holocaut survivor.’

Amidst the social media chatter around George Soros, a 1998 interview of the Hungarian-American billionaire with journalist Steve Kroft on ’60 minutes Australia’ has been doing the rounds of the internet.

At the very onset, Kroft noted, “When the Nazis occupied Budapest in 1944, George Soros’s father was a successful lawyer. He lived on an island in the Danube and liked to commute to work in a rowboat, but knowing there were problems ahead for the Jews, he decided to split his family up.”

He emphasised how Soros’ father bribed a government official to supposedly accept the billionaire as his ‘Christian Godson’ when he was a teenager.

Kroft noted, “While hundreds of thousands of Hungarian Jews were being shipped off to the death camps, George Soros accompanied his phoney Godfather on his appointed rounds, confiscating property from the Jews.”

When he quizzed the billionaire about the event, Soros downplayed it by claiming he was a teen and that someone would have done things anyway even if he refused to participate. It must be mentioned that the billionaire was 68 years old at the time of the controversial interview.

“You watched lots of people get shipped off to the death camps?” Kroft inquired. Soros calmly said, “Right, I was 14 years old, and I would say that that’s when my character was made…That one should think ahead, one should understand and anticipate events and one is threatened.”

No guilt in association with Nazi Godfather: George Soros

The billionaire also responded with an affirmation when asked whether he accompanied his Nazi Godfather in confiscating Jewish properties. When asked if he had developed psychiatric issues on account of his involvement, he said that it created ‘no problem at all.’

George Soros categorically stated he had no guilt about his association with the man. “I could be on the other side or I could be the one from whom the thing is being taken away…but there was no sense that I shouldn’t be there,” he said casually.

“It is just like in markets, that if I weren’t there. Of course, I wasn’t doing it, but somebody else would be taking it away anyhow whether I was there or not,” he further emphasised.

Towards the end, he asserted, “I was only a spectator. The property was being taken away. I had no role in taking away the property. I had no sense of guilt.

To summarise, Soros, as a teen witnessed Jews being taken away to death camps, accompanied Nazi to seize properties of Jews and even years later, as a 60 year old man, had no regrets or guilt of being a silent, inadvertent enabler as a young man because he said if not for him, someone else would have done it. In fact, it appears like he is rationalising his behaviour as a 14-year old young man by bringing in market dynamics and justifying the act.

Gujarat man ends up marrying ‘lady don’ from Assam whom he met via matrimonial site, read what happened

In Gujarat’s Porbandar, a man named Vimal Karia has filed a petition with the magistrate to annul his marriage after he found his wife was a wanted criminal in Assam. Just six months after marrying the woman he met on a matrimonial site, Karia got to know about her real name and criminal background.

The woman who posed as Rita Das turned out to be Rita Chauhan, a wanted criminal in Assam. Rita Chauhan along with her ex-husband Anil Chauhan is accused of stealing more than 6000 cars over the last 24 years. Anil Chauhan was arrested in September last year by Delhi Police. Rita has been accused of fraud, theft, murder, and hunting of Rhinoceros.

Vimal Karia connected with Rita Das from Guwahati, Assam through a matrimonial platform and they started interacting. The couple decided to get married shortly after that. Rita’s first divorce was mentioned in her profile, therefore Vimal sought her divorce certificate ahead of their wedding arrangements.

Rita subtly dodged the question by saying that her prior marriage had taken place in a panchayat. The couple nevertheless got married in Ahmedabad. Rita informed Vimal that she needed to go to Assam to deal with a land issue just six months after their wedding. The two remained in contact over the phone for the next few days, however, Vimal’s calls went unanswered after that. One day, Rita’s lawyer picked up Vimal’s call and informed her about Rita’s arrest adding that Rs 1 lakh is required to get her out on bail, assuring him that the case was not serious.

It was only after Vimal checked Rita’s court documents that he got to know her real name, Rita Chauhan. After doing a google search, he learned that his wife is a criminal with charges including fraud, theft, murder, and hunting.

Reports said that Rita had claimed she came from a poor family and her brother and sister in law do labour work. She had also said her mother was also not keeping well. And hence, within one week of meeting, they decided to get married. However, Vimal got suspicious when he found that despite claiming she was coming from poor family she was using expensive cosmetics. She would use make up worth thousands and also shop for shoes worth Rs 2,000-3,000 without blinking even once. For travelling also she would demand travelling only in AC train or in a cab. Not just that, despite marrying into a vegetarian household, she would demand eating non-veg food and even beer. Once Vimal also found her picture where she was posing with another man and giving a romantic pose.

One day she informed Vimal she wanted to go Assam for a legal case she had to sort. She took her husband’s ATM card, Rs 5,000 cash and even a phone when she went to Assam. But she then stopped taking his calls. Only upon further investigation it was found she was already married to another man. She was also previously wed to Anil Chauhan, a serial auto thief. She told Dainik Bhaskar that she has no contact with Anil, who is currently in prison. “I married Anil in 2007, and the car theft case was registered in 2015,” Rita reportedly stated. Since then, I haven’t spoken to Anil. Anil Chauhan is currently detained in jail.”

The Guwahati Police said that Rita was accountable for getting Anil a ticket in 2015 so that he could enter the assembly premises. She was subsequently detained in connection to the theft of a BMW car.

Rita had acquired the entry pass with the aid of her friend, the then-Congress MLA Rumi Nath. Rita revealed that her husband had indicated an interest in seeing the premises when Rumi Nath questioned her about it. It is noteworthy that the former Congress MLA was arrested in 2015 in relation to a pan-India car theft racket. Following this, she was expelled from the party.

Javed Akhtar is in Lahore for Faiz Festival, Indians ask him to stay in Pakistan, but Pakistanis too don’t want him

On February 18, controversial lyrics writer Javed Akhtar attended Faiz Festival in Pakistan. As per reports, he was head of the Indian delegate that went to the poverty-hit country for the festival. He took part in the Mushaira and launched his new book at the event.

Faiz Festival was a three-day event scheduled for February 17 to February 19. It was organised by the Alhamra Arts Council of Lahore, Pakistan. Unlike the previous years, the events were free this year, most probably due to the economic crisis in the country. However, a senior official said the “free” factor was due to the fact that the last instalment of the festival did not get a response, and the attendees were unhappy with the ticket price.

Indians react to Akhtar’s Pakistan visit

As the reports went out that Akhtar was in Pakistan, Indians reacted and requested Pakistanis to keep him there.

Twitter user Desi Mojito said, “Javed Akhtar is in Pakistan to attend the Faiz festival. End of the day, their religion is above the country they live in.”

Twitter user Dilip Jain requested MEA Dr S Jaishankar to cancel his return visa. He said, “@DrSJaishankar Javed Akhtar ka return visa cancel kar dijiye. Rahne do iss aasteen ke saanp ko apne bil (pakistan) mein.”

Twitter user Sanskar said, “Hopefully, this Hinduphobic POS @javedakhtar stays there and asks his wife to get used to wearing black tent on her.”

Twitter user BesuraTaansane questioned if it was his “Ghar Wapsi”, to which Twitter user Itihasa_history said, “Hope #JavedAkhtar stays back in #Pakistan for good.

Interestingly, it appears even Pakistanis did not want Javed Akhtar in their country. Pakistani Twitter user Maria Sartaj said, “An anti-Muslim atheist. A writer who has mocked Pakistan many times on Indian prime time debates continually gets invited to Pakistan. We really have no self-respect as people.”

Twitter user Getting Older said, “May those Pakistanis who are blind enough to love javed akhtar, end up with him. Aameen. Among other things he was one of the biggest voice against Pakistani artists working in Indian film industry.”

Who was Faiz Ahmad Faiz?

Faiz Ahmad Faiz was a Pakistani poet. He was born on February 13, 1914, and died on November 20, 1984. Faiz Ahmad Faiz‘s poem “Hum Dekhienge” is often used by so-called liberals and intellectuals. The infamous poem has subtle Hinduphobic rants that have often raised eyebrows.

Jahannami Aurat, Shirk: Islamists attack Sara Ali Khan for extending wishes on Maha Shivratri

Sara Ali Khan Pataudi, a Bollywood actress, and daughter of actor Saif Ali Khan and his first wife, actress Amrita Singh, uploaded images with the words ‘Jai Bholenath,’ on the social media platform, Instagram, on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri. In her post, Sara is pictured seated in front of a Lord Shiva idol. Her Islamist followers, however, took offense to this and started attacking her for engaging in practices that are associated with infidels or non-believers.

Soon after she shared the Maha Shivratri greetings, Sara Ali Khan started receiving hateful and abusive comments from Islamists for going against the teachings of Islam and performing ‘shirk’. Shirk in Islam is the sin of idolatry or polytheism. Idol worship is strictly forbidden as per Islam. It says, “Verily you and the gods you worshipped beside Allah are the fuel of Hell. All of you are bound to arrive there.” (Quran 21:98)

Several Islamists vowed to unfollow her for committing this ‘crime’ of celebrating Maha Shivratri. Some ridiculed her for dressing in short clothes in her movies and claimed that she is only nominally Muslim. Others asked whether she really follows Islam. She was even asked to change her name (and convert to Hinduism).

One Instagram user Syed Shifa called her “Jahannami Aurat” (One who belongs in hell). Aurat, the Urdu word for woman, originates from the Arabic ‘awrat,’ meaning ‘genitalia,’ ‘defectiveness,’ & ‘nudity.’

Another Islamist prayed for Allah “to guide her in the right direction”. Sara Ali Khan was told by several such users to have some shame for extending wishes on a Hindu festival. Another Islamist pointed out that Sara is yet to perform Hajj. Another Instagram user named Bilal warned her and said, “There is no forgiveness for ‘shirk’ in Islam.”

One Sehrish wrote, “I cannot understand what do they gain by worshipping to stones and animals,” as he attacked Hinduism along with Sara.

Notably, this isn’t the first time Sara Ali Khan has come under fire from Islamists. On the last Maha Shivratri, she was attacked for posting a picture of performing puja at the Omkareshwar Temple. Similarly, in 2021, she was abused for visiting Ujjain Mahakal ahead of the release of her movie ‘Atrangi Re’. Same year, she was accused of being an ‘infidel’ for visiting Kedarnath temple.

She is far from the only Muslim celebrity to receive such virulent backlash from Muslim users. Cricketers like Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Kaif, and even the ‘king khan’ Shah Rukh Khan have all endured nasty vitriol from Islamists for participating in Hindu rituals or celebrating Hindu festivals.
