Justice Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud, judge in the Supreme Court of India, today gave the example of ‘climate activist’ Greta Thunberg to say that age is no bar in bringing change. Claiming that the teen activist has brought change to the world, he said that nobody is too young to effectuate Big Change.

Justice DY Chandrachud said that Greta Thunberg had begun her journey as a lone 15 years old outside the Swedish parliament. Glorifying the activism of the far-left activist, the Supreme Court Justice said that just like nobody is too young to bring change, nobody is too old also bring change.

He also said that Constitutional provisions seek to protect individuals from hegemonic power structures, regardless of where they come from. Justice DY Chandrachud made the comments while delivering a speech at the 101st Birth Anniversary Celebration of Hon’ble Justice Y.V.Chandrachud, his father. Yeshwant Vishnu Chandrachud was the 16th Chief Justice of India, and had served the longest term as the CJI, from 1978 to 1985.

The comments by the Justice DY Chandrachud praising Greta Thunberg comes at a time when Indian ‘climate activist’ Disha Ravi is facing prosecution in the Greta Toolkit case. The toolkit refers to a set of documents containing details of planned protests supporting the ongoing farmer protests, which were inadvertently published by Greta.

The Greta Toolkit had revealed that international celebrities like Greta and Rihanna were behind the protests against the three new farm laws enacted by the Indian government. The toolkit had revealed that it was not an organic wave of support but well-planned propaganda against the Indian government.

The document shared by Greta Thunberg listed a series of actions that people across the world could take to support the ‘farmer protests’ and also listed actions that had been undertaken. The document also made it clear that the global attempts to incite unrest in India had begun prior to the Republic Day riots.

The documents also contained tweets that could be posted to build pressure against the Indian Government. And many of these tweets were posted by a large number of people, with the recommended hashtags. Greta had later deleted the tweet containing the toolkit, but it was too late as the anti-India propaganda was already revealed.

Even as states across the country are formulating and implementing laws to curb the menace of religious conversions, a raft of people belonging to the Mahadalit community have abandoned their faith and converted to Christianity in Gaya district’s Belwadih village under Naili Panchayat, Bihar. Reports claim the rampant conversions are being carried out under the pretext of curing maladies.

While the residents claim that the conversion is not being forced upon them and happening out of their free will, some locals allege superstitious beliefs are responsible for the conversion of people into Christianity.

Raju Manjhi, one of the villagers said the situation was absolutely normal until the people of his community started visiting the adjoining Wajidpur village for offering prayers. Manjhi says the people who went to Wajidpur have adopted the Christian religion.

“The conversion of Mahadalits (Hindu) to Christianity began from one Kewla Devi, whose son was ill for a long time and was unable to recover from his illness. Someone suggested that she take the help of Christian people for his treatment. Kewla Devi contacted them for her child’s treatment. Soon after, her son recovered from his illness,” Manjhi said while talking about the spate of conversions happening in the area.

Manjhi said soon after Kewla and her family converted to Christianity, there were others in the village who followed the suit and baptised themselves into Christianity.

Another villager said the conversions are happening because Casteism is still prevalent in the region. He said they are proscribed from visiting temples located in adjoining villages. However, the veracity of his claims cannot be independently verified.

“Segregation of society based on one’s caste does not exist in Christianity. A Church is a place where anyone can go and worship God,” the villager argued.

He further added that about 100 people in the village have embraced Christianity and soon, many others will do the same. “Adopting the Christian religion is our own decision. No one has forced or lured us for the same,” he said.

Some women say that before conversion, children used to disappear or fall off rooftops. But such incidents have stopped since they converted to Christianity.

Munawwar Rana also questioned the ATS operation in the state where members of an Al Qaeda affiliated group were arrested. He said that he often visits Pakistan and someday, he will buy a pressure cooker and he may be consequently accused of being associated with the Taliban and arrested for being a terrorist.

Rana also claimed that Muslims have 8 babies because they are scared 2 of their children will be branded terrorists and executed. He had also said that 2 will be executed due to terrorism charges, one will due to Covid-19, so at least one kid should be there for burial. He made the comments while speaking about a possible population control law.

At a time when the Taliban has made significant gains in Afghanistan with the help of Pakistan, the daughter of the Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan was abducted yesterday. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, the Afghan government informed that Silsila Alikhil, the daughter of Afghan ambassador in Pakistan Najibullah Alikhil, was abducted on 16th July in Islamabad, and she was released after several hours.

The Afghan statement said that Silsila Alikhil was tortured while in captivity. She was abducted by several unknown individuals on her way home on Friday.

The statement added, “The MoFA strongly condemns this heinous act and expresses its deep concern over the safety and security of diplomats, their families, and staff members of the Afghan political and consular missions in Pakistan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on the Government of Pakistan to take immediate necessary actions to ensure full security of the Afghan Embassy and Consulates as well as the immunity of the country’s diplomats and their families in accordance with international treaties and conventions. While the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs is following the matter with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, we urge the Pakistani government to identify and prosecute the perpetrators at the soonest possible time.”

In the meantime, some media houses in Pakistan have released additional details about the significant incident. After her release, she was examined at a hospital, which confirmed that she was tortured while in captivity. The medical report says that Najibullah Alikhel’s daughter was abducted yesterday afternoon at around 1:45 PM and she was recovered at around 7 PM on the same day, five hours after she had gone missing.

Reportedly, she was abducted from Jinnah Super in Islamabad, and after the torture in some unknown location, she was released near Tehzeeb Bakery, Blue Area, Islamabad.

According to the medical examination report, Silsila Alikhil had pain and swelling at wrist joints and hands, there were mars of ropes on the wrist joints. She also had similar pain and rope marks on her legs and ankle joints. The woman also had swelling around her eyes, she was vomiting, and was bleeding from the ENT region.

The abduction of the top Afghan diplomate’s daughter in Pakistan marks another low in the rapidly deteriorating Pakistan-Afghanistan relationships. Following the Taliban’s capture of a crucial border crossing with Pakistan, Afghanistan’s vice president had said that Pakistan Air Force had warned Afghan forces not to retaliate against the Taliban. Ghani had said that Pakistan is playing a negative role in the current situation in Afghanistan. He had slammed the Pakistani govt for not severing ties with terror groups, and had said that according to intelligence reports over 10,000 jihadi fighters had entered Afghanistan in the last month. He had also said that Imran Khan government had failed to convince the Taliban to negotiate seriously in the ongoing peace talks.

However, Imran Khan had refuted the allegations, saying that the last thing Pakistan wants is more conflict, as the country has suffered 70,000 casualties in the last 15 years. He added that Pakistan can no more convince the Taliban for talks, as they are no longer willing to compromise after the United States gave a date for the withdrawal of troops. He said that the Afghan govt should have asked the Taliban to come to talks when there were 150,000 NATO troops in the country. When the foreign troops are leaving, why Taliban will listen to Pakistan as they are sensing victory, Imran Khan had said.

The movie’s earnings were boosted by its release in the iconic Raj Mandir single screen theater in Jaipur, Rajasthan. On Thursday (July 15), the official Twitter handle of the Vagina Museum (VM) attempted to obliterate the ‘female’ identity through the use of supposed ‘gender-neutral’ words.

In its tweet, VM suggested alternatives for commonly used words to make the language more ‘inclusive’ to people. As per its recommendations, terms such as ‘sanitary products’, ‘feminine hygiene products’ and ‘becoming a woman’ must be replaced with ‘menstrual products’, ‘period products’ and ‘starting puberty’ respectively.

Vagina Museum, the first brick and mortar museum dedicated to female anatomy, also had additional suggestions. “Instead of ‘women’s health’, say ‘reproductive health’ or ‘gynaecological health’ (whatever you prefer); Instead of ‘women and girls’, say ‘people who menstruate’ or ‘people who have periods’,” it tweeted.

Vagina Museum, which boasts of 1 lakh followers, recommended the removal of ‘gendered language’ from everyday speech. It stated, “A good way to get into the habit of removing gendered language as the default is to start looking at your everyday speech. Instead of using gender-specific terms to describe professions and people, like ‘fireman’, opt for a gender-neutral term such as ‘firefighter’ and so on.”

“Remember it takes practice and it’s okay to mess up. Try not to have a knee-jerk reaction when somebody flags this with you. We’re all learning as language is evolving!” it added. However, the most bizarre part of the tweet was the claim that ‘anyone could mensturate’ regardless of gender. Vagina Museum then went on to claim that one should use ‘shame-free language’ and suggest that menstruation was somehow associated with shame. Nevertheless, it recommended the use of confusing language and normalise it in discussions, questions and actions.

Gender politics, normalising de-recognition of women

While this might look like harmless wordplay, the strategy is often employed by leftists and  ‘social justice warriors’ to normalise bizarre practices and lingo. By using ‘gender-neutral language’, we are essentially denying the existence of two seperate genders and playing into the hands of the leftists. For those who believe gender is fluid and ever-changing, such a narrative building through control on vocabulary serves the purpose.

Last year, journalist Abigail Shrier in her book ‘Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters’ documented the terrible impact gender politics had on teenage girls in western countries. Shrier said that teenage girls, who did not necessarily suffer from gender dysphoria, started to believe that they were ‘trapped in the wrong body’, as a consequence of which they undergo medical procedures that at least some of them come to regret later and others had their lives turned upside down.

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling was also attacked by ‘social justice warriors’ as well for saying that biological sex is real and only women can menstruate. The episode began when the celebrated author expressed her unhappiness over the fact that a media portal had called women ‘people who menstruate’. For her perfectly sensible opinion, abuses were hurled at J.K. Rowling and she was labelled a Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist (TERF).

UP ATS makes three more arrests in Umar Gautam conversion racket case, Adam, Kaushar Alam and Arsalan arrested

The Uttar Pradesh ATS has arrested three more individuals related to the conversion racket involving Umar Gautam that was unearthed a few weeks ago. Consequently, UP ATS has arrested Prakash Kawre alias Adam, Kaushar Alam and Arsalan alias Bhupriya Bando on the 16th of July (Friday).

The three accused were arrested from Nagpur in Maharashtra and will be brought to Lucknow. The Police will approach the Court for custody. Appropriate action will be taken as per law.

As per UP Police, Adam was the focal point of the Maharashtra Network of the racket. He was constantly in touch with Umar Gautam and furthered conversion activities in the state. Adam’s wife is a citizen of Egypt and he was in touch with other Islamic majority countries, police say. According to the police, Adam has been involved with Islamic propaganda in the past.

Kaushar Alam was involved in conversion activities in Maharashtra and Karnataka. He handled the finances of the network among other things. Adam and Arsalan are both 29 years old, Kaushal alam is 50 years old.

Umar Gautam and Mufti Jahangir Qasmi may have received funding from terrorist Hafiz Saeed 

Prior to this, the ATS has made several startling revelations in the case. According to Zee News, sources within the Uttar Pradesh police have confirmed that they suspect the conversion racket run by Mufti Qazi Jahangir Qasmi and Mohammad Umar Gautam had funding from India’s most wanted terrorist and Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Saeed. The Zee News report said that the Hafiz Saeed connection to the religious conversion case came to the fore during the interrogation of the accused.

Since July 5, several anti-Muslim graffitis have come up in various locations in the central Newton area of Surrey in Canada. The places where such graffitis with hateful messages against the Muslim community have been spotted in various places of the city. According to reports, when a similar graffiti was spotted on July 14 (Wednesday), near 72 Avenue and King George Boulevard, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) launched an investigation into the same.

The Canadian police are of the belief that these incidents are linked and may be connected to the same person or group.

Anti-Muslim graffiti like ‘Islam is evil’ come up in Canada

According to reports, on July 14, the locals spotted anti-Muslim graffiti on a dustbin in a business house, as well as on a utility pole near a mosque in the area of 72 Avenue and King George Boulevard. “Islam is evil” could be seen spray-painted on the trash can.

“These are weird times we live in, and I honestly think the last thing we need is all this hatred and racism around the city,” said Jaspreet Jandu, a volunteer with the Surrey Crime Prevention Society”.

“When we get these calls we try to respond as fast as we can, especially in an area like this. There’s a grocery store here, a dentist, an animal hospital — this is a family area and the last thing we really want is for people of the community seeing this sort of stuff”, he added.

Meanwhile Surrey RCMP Const. Sarbjit Sangha said that there is no room for such hatred in the city. “Hate crimes and hate-motivated criminal activity have no place in Surrey and our officers are working diligently to identify those responsible for these incidents,” Sangha said, adding that such incidents have a significant impact on people of the Muslim community. It brings in a sense of insecurity amongst the Muslims.

Volunteer paint over anti-Islam graffiti

Sangha said police were canvassing in the area and working to collect any CCTV footage that may have captured the suspect. In the meanwhile, volunteers have painted over the graffiti to hide them.

The chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami today said the live streaming of the Char Dham Yatra won’t be held as it is not mentioned in the Vedas. The decision came in the wake of the High Court directive, asking the state government to put a stay on Char Dham Yatra this year and ensure live streaming of the yatra for the devotees.

The meeting of the Uttarakhand Char Dham Devasthanam Management Board, chaired by Uttarkhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami decided against live streaming of religious ceremonies performed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the four shrines. The leaders in the meeting reportedly argued that the live streaming would violate the sanctity of the rituals performed inside the sanctum sanctorum.

The decision was taken after the Uttarakhand High Court directed the state government to ensure that ceremonies carried inside the sanctum sanctorum of the four shrines are live-streamed for the devotees.

As per the state government’s press release after the meeting, the live streaming of only the outer premises of the shrines would be possible.

“The opinion of all the board members, priests of shrines and other organisations have been received on the issue. The government will apprise the High Court about the opinion,” Tourism Minister and vice-chairman of the board Satpal Maharaj said after the board’s meeting held on Friday.

Earlier this month, after the Uttarakhand High Court put a stay on Char Dham Yatra and directed the government to ensure the rituals are live-streamed, the Uttarakhand Advocate General (AG) referred to Char Dham priests to state that Hindu Shastras do not permit live streaming of rituals.

Objecting to Advocate General’s submissions, the court in its July 8 order observed that India is a democratic country ruled by the law and not by ‘Shastras’.

Days after Indian photojournalist Danish Siddiqui was killed in Afghanistan by the Taliban, a US-based Indian origin Professor has claimed that the Islamist terror outfit exhibited more humanity than the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS).

In a tweet on Saturday (July 17), Gaurav Sabnis wrote, “Even the Taliban itself is showing more humanity over #DanishSiddiqui than the Sangh.” Sabnis, an Associate Marketing Professor at the Stevens Institute of Technology, posted the tweet in response to the criticism faced by Siddiqui after his death. The deceased photojournalist had earlier clicked pictures of burning funeral pyres in clear breach of privacy of the family of the Covid-19 victims and also put it up for sale on British-owned stock photography agency Alamy.

Through his tweet, Gaurav Sabnis suggested that the Taliban had showcased more humanity than Sangh (and its followers) despite the former being the killer of the photojournalist. The bizarre analogy, aimed at dehumanising RSS and eliminating the role of Taliban in the context of Danish Siddiqui’s death, was not well-received by netizens. A Twitter user (Princess Woke Liberal) took potshots at the Marketing Professor and wrote, “Taliban did not kill Danis Siddiqui, RSS did.” Following his comment, Gaurav Sabnis was quick to block the user on the micro-blogging site.

Later, Sabnis tried to justify his earlier tweet wherein he claimed that Sangh was less humane than the Taliban. He alleged, “The only reason sanghi vultures are trying to peck at #DanishSiddiqui is because he took a picture proving the full scale of covid deaths and resulting cremations in India. Literally the only reason. Because some of his pics spoiled their deluded narratives.”

The Assistant Marketing Professor further claimed, “Notice how the only ones on Twitter dumping on heroic late photo journalist #DanishSiddique are sanghis. Because they are still upset that when BJP tried to hide the full scope of covid second surge deaths in India, Danish took this picture. That’s the only reason. Sick!” In order to further deviate public wrath from his original tweet about Sangh and Taliban, he wrote, “How many million lives are you willing to sacrifice for the sake of maintaining the delusional that Modi is awesome?”

Liberals refuse to call out Taliban over Danish Siddiqui’s killing

Several left-wing “liberal-secular” journalists also took to Twitter to condole the death of photojournalist Danish Siddiqui, who aggressively shared these images of the deceased photojournalist to pay some sort of tribute to him. However, the intriguing part of the matter is that hardly any of them mentioned the Taliban in their condolence message.

Rana Ayyub spoke about Danish Siddiqui and his work revealing how he had a passion for photography. She also shared an image in which she was seen sitting next to the deceased journalist. The tone and tenor of the message, however, were rather perplexing. It appeared as if the photojournalist died as a consequence of some natural disease and was not murdered by Islamic terrorists.
