The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the Mansukh Hiren death case that is connected to the Antilia bomb scare incident.
According to reports, Mansukh Hiren death case will now be investigated by the NIA. The Ministry of Home Affairs has given formal orders to NIA regarding the matter. Maharashtra ATS was earlier investigating the case.

Mansukh Hiren was the owner of the vehicle laden with explosives parked outside Mukesh Ambani’s residence – ‘Antilia’. The Mumbai Police had recovered about 20 gelatin sticks, and a threat letter addressed to the Ambani family was recovered from the car, a Scorpio, on February 25.
Shockingly, a few days later, the body of Mansukh Hiren was found near Kalwa creek in Thane on March 5.
However, the family members of Mansukh Hiren refused to accept his body, stating that they will do it only after the police and the administration make his postmortem report public.
Hiren’s wife alleged that Sachin Vaze, the Mumbai crime branch officer, killed her husband. The family pointed towards the letter penned by Hiren in which he alleged that he was mentally harassed in connection with the Antilia bomb scare case. Besides, the family members of Hiren rejected the notion that Hiren might have committed suicide.
Shiv Sena objected to NIA probe
Earlier, BJP leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had demanded a probe by the NIA in the case. Two weeks back, Devendra Fadnavis had said, “I had demanded the security for Hiren in the Legislative Assembly today along with the NIA probe in the matter. Now, after the suicide of Hiren, the suspicion intensifies. I demand an NIA probe in the matter.”
However, Shiv Sena vehemently had opposed the NIA investigation into the high-profile Mansukh Hiren death case. Rejecting the demanding a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into Mansukh Hiren’s death, Shiv Sena motor-mouth leader Sanjay Raut on Saturday said that no one should try to capitalise on Hiren’s death.
Raut had added that if there were any issues raised by the Opposition in the Hiren death case, it should be investigated. He had asked the opposition to provide information on the case and said that it should be investigated. “However, I do not think it is right to put the government in the cage of the accused before the investigation is completed. But no one should try to capitalise on his death,” Raut said while interacting with reporters.
“This death of a key witness during the investigation is shocking and unfortunate. There is a public suspicion of whether Hiren was murdered or committed suicide. This doubt needs to be dispelled. What is the reason for his death? Who is responsible for it? The sooner the Home Ministry reveals the truth about all this, the better it will be for the image and reputation of the government,” he added.
Antilia bomb scare and connection between Mansukh Hiren and Sachin Vaze
On February 25, a Scorpio car with 20 gelatin sticks was found parked near Antilia, the multi-storey residence of Mukesh Ambani in Mumbai. A few days later, it was revealed that the car belonged to a person named Mansukh Hiren. The bomb-laden car was owned by Mansukh Hiren, who had alleged that his car was stolen from Mulund-Airoli link road. Hiren had also filed a police complaint about the missing car.
Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis had made sensational disclosures related to the Antilia bomb scare while speaking in the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha and said that the bomb-laden vehicle belonged to Hiren.
Speaking in the assembly, Fadnavis alleged that the owner of the Scorpio car, which was used to plant gelatin sticks and a threat letter outside Mukesh Ambani’s residence in Mumbai, was in touch with a mobile phone number that is registered under the name of Mumbai Police officer and ‘encounter specialist’ Sachin Vaze.
However, hours after Fadnavis had made a statement in the legislative assembly, Hiren’s body was washed ashore in the Kalwa creek, which only deepened the mystery surrounding the attack against Mukesh Ambani.
Later, top sources in the Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) said that they had found injuries on the body of businessman Mansukh Hiren’s head and neck. An unnamed source in the Maharashtra ATS said that Hiren might have been assaulted before his death. The ATS official said that it appeared that someone might have assaulted Mansukh Hiren with a blunt and heavy object.
US President Joe Biden stumbled and fell on the stairs while boarding Air Force One on Friday, raising further questions about his health. His health was a matter of significant debate even during the campaign with incumbent Donald Trump taking regular potshots at him.
More recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin had implied that Joe Biden has gone senile after the latter answered in the affirmative when asked if he believed Putin is a “killer”. Now, after the stumble, further concerns are being raised regarding the US President’s health.

Another matter that has come to the fore is the media’s duplicity in its coverage of the matter. Users on social media have pointed out that while the American mainstream media had made much hue and cry when Donald Trump had a minor stumble, they are now attempting to whitewash the concerns about Biden’s health after he fell flat on the stairs in three installments.
Users have pointed out that while the media spent a great deal of time explaining why Trump’s minor stumble was “important”, they are going out of their way to give Joe Biden a free pass. Screenshots shared by Drew Holden show the New York Times giving Biden a free pass but had earlier reported that “Trump’s halting walk down ramp raises new health questions”.
CNN demonstrated the same duplicity in their coverage of the two instances. Regarding Trump, CNN explained why the stumble “actually matters” but after Biden’s fall, the news network had no such snide remarks to offer.
Not only American media but British media was on a fact-free conspiracy mongering witch hunt as well. After Trump’s stumble, BBC and The Sun dedicated their resources to speculating whether Donald Trump is scared of stairs.

The Washington Post, obviously, was in on the act as well. While they maintained a neutral tone reporting Biden’s fall, on the other occasion, they reported, “Trump tries to explain his slow and unsteady walk down a ramp at West Point”.
Far-Left media outlet Slate did cover the fact that the press was on a “tricky footing” on the matter but they were themselves guilty of sensationalising Trump’s stumble.
The duplicity in media coverage has long been apparent and the reason why the media remains one of the least trusted institutions in the United States. In a January 21 poll, it was reported that 56% of Americans agreed that “Journalists and reporters are purposely trying to mislead people by saying things they know are false or gross exaggerations.”
A Congress candidate in the Assam assembly elections have confirmed what was believed by most people in the state, that govt officials were instrumental in filling the voter lists with names without any verification. This explosive revelation was made by Sibamoni Bora, the Congress candidate from Batadrava constituency in Nagaon district, who was earlier a Block Development Officer.
At an election rally in Batadrava, Sibamoni Bora said that when she was entrusted with election duties when she was posted there as BDO, she let people enter their names without any verification. She said this to prove how she has been ‘serving’ people of the area even before she joined politics, when she was a government officer.
In a video shared by Assamese news channel News Live, Sibamoni Bora can be heard saying, ‘me and my father and have been working for you for a long time. A lot of you people have got voting rights because of me, I can claim that. Because when I was a BDO here, when hearings took place (for updating voter lists), I had accepted all the applications without a single house visit. Those who hare voting now here, I had enabled them to do so. If I had not done that at that time, you would not have got the voting rights.’
The Congress candidate further added, ‘you don’t have to fear about that, because this time the grand alliance will form the government’. She hinted that if Congress-AIUDF combine does not come to power, they may lose the voting rights, and hence they should vote for her.
In Assam, public hearings take place for determining the applications submitted for inclusion of names in the voter list. During such hearings, the applicants present their case for including them as voter, while others can object to the same if they suspect that the applicant is an illegal migrant. The Election Commission deputes officers from the state government to conduct such hearings. The officers have the responsibility to ensure that only genuine voters are included in the voter list, and for this they need to visit the house of the applicant to verify the address, apart from verifying other details and documents submitted along with the application.
This is the most important step in ensuring that illegal immigrants can’t enlist themselves as voters of India. But it has been alleged that officials often bypassed the verification process to include names, and the claim by the former BDO, who is now a Congress leader, proves that the allegation is true.

The Congress is largely depending on the Bangladeshi Muslim voters in the constituency. Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that removing the encroachers from the Satra land will be one of the main priorities of the govt if NDA comes back to power.
On Friday, the Supreme Court of India raised a significant question on the controversial issue of reservation policies in the country and sought to know for how long reservations in jobs and education could continue.
Hearing the petitions challenging the validity of the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) Act, which had extended a 16% reservation for the Maratha community, the Supreme Court posed pertinent questions on the reservation systems that prevail in the country currently.
The apex bench also sought to know whether the right to equality under Article 14 of the Constitution would be affected if they remove the 50% limit on the reservation and whether it would lead to a “resultant inequality”.
“If there is no 50% limit, what is the concept of Article 14 then? What would happen to the resultant inequality, and for how many generations will this continue?” the bench asked Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi, who urged the Supreme Court to reconsider the 50% cap imposed by the Indira Sawhney judgment.
A five-judge bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, L Nageswara Rao, S Abdul Nazeer, Hemant Gupta and S. Ravindra Bhat is hearing a batch of petitions challenging the Constitutionality of the Maharashtra State Reservation For Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) that provides 16% extra reservations for Maratha community.
Mandal judgement should be revisited, says Mukul Rohtagi
Arguing in favour of the reservation laws, Rohatgi cited various aspects of the Mandal judgement, also known as the Indra Sawhney case, and said the Centre’s decision to grant a 10% quota to people from an economically weaker section also breached the 50 per cent cap.
Rohatgi said there are many reasons to re-look the Mandal judgment, which was premised on the census of 1931 and added that the population has increased many folds and reached 135 crores.
Responding to Mukul Rohtagi’s arguments, the Supreme Court asked, “If there is no 50% or no limit, as you are suggesting, what is the concept of equality then. We will ultimately have to deal with it. What is your reflection on that… What about the resultant inequality. How many generations will you continue?”
The bench also noted that 70 years have passed since independence, and the states have been carrying on so many beneficial schemes, and “can we accept that no development has taken place, that no backward caste has moved forward”.
“Yes, we have moved forward. But it is not that backward classes have gone down from 50 to 20 per cent. We still have starvation deaths in this country… I am not trying to say that Indra Sawhney is completely wrong, throw it in the dustbin. I am raising issues that 30 years have gone by, the law has changed, the population has grown, backward persons may also have increased,” Rohatgi said.
The Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court has decided to hear all states in the matter after petitioners sought reconsideration on the Indra Sawhney judgement. This case puts s 50% cap on the reservation permissible for backward classes.
Earlier, the Bombay High Court, while upholding the Maratha quota, had ruled that 16% reservation is not justifiable and observed that reservation should not exceed 12% in employment and 13% in education as recommended by the State Backward Commission.
As many as 181 members of a tribal community whose ancestors had embraced Christianity many years ago were converted back to their Sarna religion in different villages of Garhwa district in Jharkhand, a report published in Navbharat Times said.
The Dharma Jagran and Tribal Suraksha Manch organised the Saraedih Village Tribal Conference for the return of the Sarna tribals. In the program, all the Christian converts who wished to revert back to their original faith were welcomed as per the tribal tradition of washing their feet.
About 104 members of 18 families from the Vishrampur Goraiyabkhar village, 42 members of 7 families from Khunti Tola Karachali village and 35 members of 8 families from Mahangai village left Christianity and returned to Sarna religion.
The reconversion or the ‘ghar wapsi’ program commenced with prayers dedicated to nature. On the occasion, women sang spiritual songs to welcome the tribals back to their original faith. Those who came to get reconverted to Sarna religion were greeted with their feet washed by the activists. Women activists applied sindoor to the women who were lured by the Christian missionaries to embrace Christianity.
The tribals who returned back to the Sarna religion fold said their ancestors had converted to Christianity because of the inducements offered by the Christian missionaries. However, they added that over the period of time they realised that their conversion was a mistake. This realisation, they claimed, is what brought them in the program to adopt their former faith back.
Prominent dignitaries present on the occasion included All India Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Vice President Satyendra, State Convenor of Tribal Safety Forum Sandeep Uranv, Deputy state convenor Devanandan, President of Sarna Committee Ranchi Megha Uranv, Dharm Jagran chief Shivamurthy among other people.
According to Megha Uranv, the Christians preachers in the region exploit the poverty of the people in the region to lure them into converting to Christianity. She says naive tribals short-sightedly embrace the new religion, before realising that they had been befooled by the missionaries.
Tribal regions in India have long been afflicted by the menace of rampant Christian proselytisation. Christian missionaries have run missions to trap gullible and poor people into Christianity by promising them inducements on converting their religion. Often, the tribals, in their bid to escape the grinding poverty, accept the offer and convert their religion, only to realise later that the reprieve has been temporary and there has not been a drastic change in their predicament.
The Antilia Bomb Scare case and the Mansukh Hiren death case have tarnished the reputation of the Mumbai Police gravely. More and more revelations are being made every day and in the thick of it is the disgraced cop and accused Sachin Vaze.
While attention has been focused on Sachin Vaze since his involvement in the matter became evident, there is another name the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad is looking into, Mid Day has reported. According to the report, the Maharashtra ATS has launched a manhunt for a police officer by the name of “Tawade”.
The deceased Mansukh Hiren’s wife, Vimla, has said that her husband had gone to meet Tawade at Ghodbunder Road on the night of 4th of March. According to Vimla, Tawade is from the Kandivli Crime Branch.
However, the ATS has learnt that there is no such officer or staff at Unit XI, located at Kandivli Police Station with the said name or surname. The ATS has thus far questioned multiple people to ascertain the identity of the individual but to no avail.
“We have activated all resources across Maharashtra and are taking the help of local police stations to examine every person, even for the most minor links,” an officer was quoted as saying by Mid Day.
Twenty teams have been assigned the task of identifying the said individual using technical and human intelligence but they have not encountered any success thus far.
Sachin Vaze was arrested on the 13th of March after hours of interrogation. NIA says that it has accessed CCTV footage, fingerprints and other evidence against Sachin Vaze. NIA gained access to CCTV footage covering a 2 km radius of Sachin Vaze’s CIU office from 25th February to 5th March 2021.
The NIA seizes a black Mercedes car used by the tainted Mumbai cop from the Crawford market area. The NIA officials also recover the number plate of the Scorpio car that used to plant bombs outside Antilia from the Mercedes car.

A week after the Rutgers-Newark University apologised to Hindu students after they were abused and threatened for speaking up against Hinduphobic ‘historian’ Audrey Truschke, radical Islamic organisations that have links with terror groups and far-left ‘activist’ groups have extended support to the historian.
A group of controversial Islamic groups, far-left organisations and Kashmiri separatist networks have now released a letter in support of alleged historian Audrey Truschke after Hindu students had exposed Truschke’s bigotry against Hindus, who had depicted Hindu Gods as a “misogynistic pig” and had claimed that Hindu texts promote rape culture.
In the letter signed by mostly non-Hindu groups and some extremist groups, the signatories have accused Hindu students of being Nazi sympathisers and putting out false propaganda to target ‘historian’ Audrey Truschke for expressing her “unwavering opposition” to Hindutva.

In the letter of support issued by a few radical Islamic organisations and far-left groups, they’ ‘unequivocally’ extended their support to Dr Audrey Truschke against an “ongoing systematic campaign of vilification against her”, including vile threats of extreme violence against her and her family.

The letter also stated that the claims in the complaint from the Hindu students were dubious or outright lies. Defending the lies peddled by Audrey Truschke, the letter written by Islamist organisation and far-left groups whitewashed the crimes of Mughal invader – Aurangzeb by asserting that he did not kill as many Hindus as suggested by Hindu groups.
Extending their solidarity, the Islamic organisations have claimed in the letter, “The real reason behind the campaign of intimidation against Dr Truschke is her courageous and unwavering opposition to Hindutva, the supremacist ideology espoused by the RSS and its affiliates. It is this hateful ideology that is the driving force behind the rapidly escalating bigotry and horrific violence in India. The campaign attacking her scholarly integrity is intended to silence her, curtail her academic freedom as well as her advocacy for peace and pluralism.”
Targeting Hindus for exposing the vile Hinduphobia of Audrey Truschke, the letter said that Hindutva’s propagandists hate Dr Truschke because she deployed her scholarship to debunk the supremacist myths Hindus are desperate to perpetuate.
Hindu students are linked to RSS and PM Modi, the letter claims
Unsurprisingly, the Islamic and far-left groups have also attempted to associate the Hindu students of Rutgers University with RSS and PM Modi, by claiming that the students are “intimately connected” with the RSS and PM Modi.
Amusingly, the letter also goes on to make false assertions by claiming that the students criticising Truschke are nothing but the admirers of Adolf Hitler as they share links with the RSS, which according to Islamists had embraced Adolf Hitler in 1939.

Interestingly, the signatories of the letter that extends support to alleged ‘historian’ Audrey Truschke also include radical Islamic organisation such as Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) and Kashmiri separatists groups such as ‘Stand with Kashmir’.

Far-left organisations such as the Indian Civil Watch, which have been whitewashing crimes of Urban Naxals and sympathisers of left-wing terror, who are accused of plotting to kill Prime Minister Modi, are also signatories of the so-called letter. Some other far-left organisations that have expressed solidarity with Audrey Truschke include – ICNA Council for Social Justice, India Civil Watch International, Coalition to Stop Genocide, Justice for All, Center for Pluralism, South Asian Left Activist Movement.
Interestingly, one of the members of freelance protestor Yogendra Yadav’s ‘Swaraj Abhiyan’ is also a signatory to the letter in support of Audrey Truschke.

Here are some details about some of the organisations that have signed in support of Audrey Truschke’s Hinduphobia:
Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)
Council of American Islamic Relations is also known for having ties with Islamic terror organisations such as Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, Jamaat-e-Islami. The terrorist-linked organisation has time-and-again spewed venom against India, especially Hindus, and has a history of propagating false anti-Hindu propaganda.
Council of American Islamic Relations has been one of the prominent organisations in the United States that sponsors anti-India propaganda. It has hosted Kashmiri separatists in several webinars to peddle lies about human rights violations in Kashmir. CAIR, along with the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), have been strong backers of Kashmiri separatism.
It is important to note that CAIR aims to attack the Indian government’s decision on the Abrogation of Article 370 and to peddle lies about the “atrocities to Muslims in Kashmir” allegedly carried out by the Indian government. It is worth mentioning that CAIR receives most of its funding from Qatar and Turkey. CAIR is included in the list of groups identified as the Palestine Committee, a group created by the Muslim Brotherhood to support terror outfits such as Hamas.
Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC)
Similarly, IAMC – another radical Islamic organisation that has now descended to support Truschke, also has a history of spewing anti-Hindu lies and has alleged links to terror outfits such as the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).
According to Hindu American Organisation, the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) is well known for its anti-India and Hinduphobic views. IAMC, established by Shaik Ubaid, has hosted Mohammad Siddiqi, the founder of the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), a banned terrorist organization in India. The organisation has been extensively carrying out anti-India propaganda in the US and has reportedly hired a lobbying firm in the US to target Hindus.
The Islamist organisation often misrepresents publicly available facts and ignores ground realities, to undermines India’s secular judicial system by promoting the empowerment of separate minority courts.
In addition to these groups, several far-left groups claiming to be Dalit and Amberkarite organisations, along with Kashmiri separatists groups have also extended their support to the controversial writer Audrey Truschke. One such group is StandWithKashmir (SWK).
StandWithKashmir (SWK):
StandWithKashmir (SWK) describes itself as a “Kashmiri diaspora-driven independent global citizen grassroots group committed to standing in solidarity with the people of Kashmir in ending the occupation and supporting their right to self-determination.”
As per its website, it is a “Kashmiri diaspora-driven independent global citizen grassroots group committed to standing in solidarity with the people of Kashmir in ending the occupation and supporting their right to self-determination.” Calling India’s military presence in Kashmir an ‘occupation’ reveals amply the ideological orientation of the network. The organization further says, “We believe any proposed resolutions must foreground Kashmiri aspirations. We condemn the use of Islamophobia to undermine Kashmiri aspirations for freedom.”
In the past, StandWithKashmir has supported terrorists such as Yasin Malik who has ties with the LeT, Riyaz Naikoo, a senior commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen who was eliminated by security forces. SWK also calls Asiya Andrabi a ‘sociopolitical activist’ despite her known links to terrorists.
There are even more problematic aspects of SWK’s ideology. In the ‘Origins of Conflict‘ segment of its website, it traces the roots of the Jihad in Kashmir to 1931, a decade after the Khilafat Movement that led to the creation of Pakistan, but never calls it as such. Instead, SWK paints it as ‘secular’. Furthermore, not once does it mention the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits.
Intriguingly enough, a member of the SWK is a member of the Joe Biden administration. Sameera Fazili of Kashmiri origin has been appointed as the Deputy Director of the National Economic Council. She is a member of SWK and has made problematic comments in the past.
Faculty members of Rutgers university defend controversial ‘historian’ Audrey Truschke
Earlier this week, the faculty members of the university had come out to support the controversial professor after Hindu students had accused Audrey Truschke of whitewashing her anti-Hindu remarks and views as ‘academic freedom’.
The faculty members, which includes Gaiutra Bahadur, Manu Samriti Chander, Sadia Abbas, Akil Kumarasamy, Johan Mathey and Karishma Desai, refused to accept that Audrey Truschke is Hinduphobic, and defended her work which involves glorifying the Mughal regime in India and denying that Mughals destroyed Hindu temples to build mosques in their place. The letter signed by faculty also said that the agitating students should be intellectually challenged in the issue.
This letter of unreserved support is authored by faculty of South Asian origin at Rutgers and co-signed by colleagues at other universities.
“We insist that a critical examination of Hindutva, a political ideology, is not the same thing as Hinduphobia,” the statement issued by the Rutgers faculty members said. It then goes on to familiar Hinduphobic narrative, accusing Hindus of atrocities against Muslims and other minorities.
The faculty members had claimed that they have every confidence in “Truschke’s respect for Hindus and Hinduism and its compatibility with a critique of Hindu nationalism as a social and political enterprise”.
The letter by the faculty members had come as a response after Rutgers University had issued an apology to the Hindu community for failing to communicate properly causing misunderstanding during the Audrey Truschke controversy. Though the university had issued an apology to the Hindu students, they have remained silent in their latest statement about the conduct of Audrey Truschke.

The controversy broke out after several Hindu students of Rutgers University had written a letter to the university in reaction to ‘historian’ Audrey Truschke’s attempts to sell Hinduphobic fiction in the name of ‘history.
In its petition, the group of Hindu students studying at Rutgers-Newark pointed out that Audrey Truschke tired to trivialise and downplay the Hindu genocide committed by the Mughal tyrant Aurangzeb. The students who initiated the petition were miffed with Truschke’s continuous vile and bigoted opinions against Hindus.
In an open letter written to the university authorities, the students said that they are “aghast at the bigotry being peddled against Hindus via continued derision of our religion, our deities, and our sacred texts” in the university, which may be a potential threat to their security, as it may lead to “potential attacks, bullying, and backlash, either on campus or via social media, due to our faith”.
The petition specified how the atmosphere in the university is at odds with the Hindu student due to the hateful and vile anti-Hindu remarks made by professor Audrey Truschke on various occasions.
However, Rutgers University, instead of addressing the concerns of Hindu students, had backed Audrey Truschke and whitewashed her vile and bigoted anti-Hindu remarks as ‘academic freedom’.
While the mystery of Mansukh Hiren’s death is yet to be solved, another dead body has been recovered from the same place where Hiren was found dead. The dead body has been found in the Mumbra Reti Bunder area, the same place where Mansukh Hiren’s dead body was found. Mumbra police have arrived at the spot and are investigating further.
The body has been identified as that of a 48-year-old man Sheikh Salim Abdul, resident of Reti Bunder, Mumbra. Police are investigating whether it is suicide, murder, homicide or accident.
The dead body has been detected two weeks after Mansukh Hiren, whose Scorpio car was used to plant gelatin sticks outside Mukesh Ambani’s residence, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the same location. It was alleged that he had committed suicide by jumping into the Kalwa creek. However, his autopsy report revealed that Mansukh had injuries on the back of his head and neck. Based on this autopsy report, it is being suspected that he might have been subjected to physical assault before his death.
Yesterday, video footage recorded outside the Crime Branch surfaced in which the tainted Mumbai Cop and former Shiv Sena leader Sachin Vaze was seen with Mansukh Hiren, the owner of the bomb-laden Scorpio. According to Republic TV, Sachin Vaze, the prime accused in the Antilia bomb scare case, was seen arriving at the Crime Branch unit in a Land Cruiser Prado along with Mansukh Hiren. The footage was recorded on February 26, a day after the bomb-laden Scorpio was detected outside Mukesh Ambani’s residence in Mumbai.
It is yet to be established if the dead body recovered has any connection with the Antilia bomb scare case and the recovery of Mansukh Hiren’s body.
Antilia bomb scare and connection between Mansukh Hiren and Sachin Vaze
On February 25, a Scorpio car with 20 gelatin sticks was found parked near Antilia, the multi-storey residence of Mukesh Ambani in Mumbai. A few days later, it was revealed that the car belonged to a person named Mansukh Hiren. The bomb-laden car was owned by Mansukh Hiren, who had alleged that his car was stolen from Mulund-Airoli link road. Hiren had also filed a police complaint about the missing car.
Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis had made sensational disclosures related to the Antilia bomb scare while speaking in the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha and said that the bomb-laden vehicle belonged to Hiren.
Speaking in the assembly, Fadnavis alleged that the owner of the Scorpio car, which was used to plant gelatin sticks and a threat letter outside Mukesh Ambani’s residence in Mumbai, was in touch with a mobile phone number that is registered under the name of Mumbai Police officer and ‘encounter specialist’ Sachin Vaze.
However, hours after Fadnavis had made a statement in the legislative assembly, Hiren’s body was washed ashore in the Kalwa creek, which only deepened the mystery surrounding the attack against Mukesh Ambani. Mansukh Hiren’s family have accused suspended police officer Sachin Vaze of murder. Following the family’s complaint, Maharashtra ATS had registered a murder case to investigate the death on March 7.
In a series of astonishing revelations thereafter, it came to fore that the Scorpio car was never stolen and that it was used by Sachin Vaze. Another car Innova in the case was recovered from one of the Mumbai Police offices. The NIA also found that Sachin Vaze had sought the CCTV footage of his society in Thane and tried to tamper with it, presumably to destroy the evidence. It was also revealed that the two drivers of Scorpio and Innova were both working in the police force.
The NIA court on Friday has rejected the plea of suspended API Sachin Vaze to meet his lawyer privately. Sachin Vaze is being probed by the NIA for his role in planting an explosive-laden car near Mukesh Ambani’s residence, Antilia, and his role in the suspected murder of the owner of the Scorpio car in which explosives were laden, Mansukh Hiren.
The Special Public Prosecutor (SSP) has told the NIA court that Sachin Vaze is not cooperating in the interrogation. SSP further contended that “My basic purpose will be failed if we allow them to meet.”
Abad Ponda, the lawyer for Sachin Vaze contended that the investigation is at a ‘crucial stage’ and that, he should be allowed to meet his client (Sachin Vaze). “The investigation is at a crucial stage, please allow me to meet my client during non-interrogation hours; let’s not infringe on my fundamental rights”, he said.
Vaze’s lawyer further claimed that whenever they have been present at NIA, the interrogation was not conducted. Ponda further argued that they have set up camp at a near-by hotel so they can immediately be present at NIA when the interrogation takes place, however, they were never called. “We have also booked one room at Shalimar hotel near the office so that we can immediately reach to see my client during his interrogation”, he said.
After hearing both parties, Sachin Vaze and the Special Public Prosecutor, the NIA judge ruled that his previous order was clear in its ruling.
Judge Sitre had passed an order saying that a lawyer of Waze’s choice will be present at a visible distance during his interrogation by NIA but not at a hearing distance. Essentially, the order meant that the lawyers will be able to watch NIA interrogating Sachin Vaze, however, they will not privy to the questions being asked of him.
Interestingly, another application was rejected by the NIA court. An application moved by Sachin Vaze’s lawyer sought time to meet Vaze between the interrogations, however, the judge rejected this application as well.
Sachin Vaze – an accused in the Antilia bomb scare case
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested ‘encounter specialist’ Sachin Vaze for being a part of the group that planted the explosive-laden Scorpio on Carmichael Road (near Antilia) on February 25.
The top cop was also investigated for his alleged role in the death of Mansukh Hiren, the owner of the Scorpio found near the Ambani residence.
Two cars – an Innova (white colour) and a Scorpio (green colour) were used to plant the bombs outside Mukesh Ambani’s residence in Mumbai on February 25. The police had traced the Scorpio to Mansukh Hiren, an auto part dealer in Thane.
A few days later, his dead body was found in a creek. While initially it was claimed to be suicide, further investigation revealed that it is possibly a murder. After Mansukh Hiren’s death, his wife, Vimla Hiren alleged that the vehicle was lent out to Sachin Vaze for four months till February 5. After that, it was reported stolen. She had accused Vaze of killing her husband.
Later, it was found out that Mumbai top cop Sachin Vaze had used the same explosive-laden Scorpio found outside Reliance Group’s chief Mukesh Ambani’s residence Antilia to escort Alibagh Police in Arnab case.
Earlier, the National Investigative Agency officials had also recovered the white Innova car from the Mumbai Police Commissionerate office. A white Innova was also suspected to be used, in addition to the Scorpio, to plant the bombs outside Mukesh Ambani’s residence in Mumbai on February 25.

Amidst the deteriorating strategic relationships between Riyadh and its long-time patron Pakistan, the former has prohibited its men from marrying women from Pakistan. Along with Pakistan, the men in Saudi Arabia have also been barred from marrying women from Bangladesh, Chad and Myanmar, a local Arab newspaper Makkah daily reported.
The Saudi Arab administration has made it clear that if any local men wish to marry a foreigner from these 4 nations would have to now face tougher regulations, Makkah daily quoted the Makkah Police Director Major General Assaf Al-Qurashi.
These stricter additional rules have been implemented to discourage Arab men from marrying outsiders.
Those wishing to marry foreign women should first obtain the consent of the government and submit marriage applications through official channels. It has been reported that the applicants would have to be over 25 and attach identification documents signed by the local district mayor as well as all other identity papers, including a copy of his family card. Divorced men will not be allowed to apply within six months of their divorce.
“If the applicant is already married, he should attach a report from a hospital proving that his wife is either disabled, suffering from a chronic disease or is sterile,” Police Director Major General Assaf Al-Qurashi said.
According to unofficial figures, there are about 500,000 women from these four countries currently living in Saudi Arabia.
