Where is Pulwama terrorist body? Goa Congress leader asks for proof, says Modi planned Pulwama terror attack

Just when you think political discourse in India couldn’t stoop any lower, someone throws up a surprise. While addressing a press conference, Goa Congress leader Chellakumar alleged that the Pulwama attack was orchestrated by PM Modi.

“People are not fools anymore. This man will go to any extent. Because, Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi and Amit Shah together… even recently video clipping has come out, even the Godhra incident was planned by BJP and stuff like that. Their own man has said that, not some Congress leader. I will not take the name but someone from BJP circle has claimed that Godhra incident was manipulated and orchestrated by the BJP. If it is so, why not this Pulwama incident also? They have identified all the jawan’s body. Where is the terrorist’s body? Till now they could not show to the people. So he is not a public representative. Not a public leader,” said Chellakumar.

Kumar is not the first person to float a conspiracy theory that the Pulwama terror attack, the responsibility of which was claimed by Pakistan based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad, was an inside job. Congress supporting abusive troll Sanjukta, while propagating this theory was also encouraged by another Congress leader. She, too, had brought in the 2002 Godhra carnage reference and had claimed that ‘Modi was reportedly’ heard saying “Let Hindus take revenge.”.

Earlier, we had written how this could be one of the ways Congress might be testing the ground before Congress President Rahul Gandhi could swoop in and make similar claims. Goa Congress leader echoing the same thing as Basu said a week back goes out to show that now Congress leaders of the higher rung have started propagating the narrative. How soon Rahul Gandhi, too, joins in is, is probably a matter of time.

Pakistan appears to have mistaken its own pilot for Indian pilot, led to the lie about 2 Indian pilots being captured

Pakistani jets had violated Indian airspace on Wednesday morning and entered the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district. They were pushed back by the Indian Air Force.

The Government had confirmed that the IAF had responded instantly to thwart its attempts. In the aerial engagement, one Pakistan jet was shot down by a MIG 21 Bison jet of the IAF. The IAF has said it had lost a Mig 21, while the pilot is believed to be in Pakistan’s captivity.

Pakistan had initially claimed that they had two Indian pilots in custody. Later, they backtracked from their initial statement and confirmed that they had the custody of only one Indian pilot.

Earlier today, news agency ANI had released the picture of the downed Pakistani F16 jet. Incidentally, the same picture was being circulated as a photograph of the downed Indian jet, however, analysis by IAF officers has confirmed that it is actually an F16, ANI has reported.

The image of the jet which is now reported to be one of Pakistan’s F16 provides some insight into how the Pakistanis came to believe that they had two Indian pilots under custody. As many on social media have pointed out, it appears that the Pakistanis were under the impression that they had managed to down two Indian jets and in the process, mistook one of their own pilots for an Indian.

The F16 pilot, who the Pakistan Army who appears to have been mistaken for an Indian, is believed to be receiving treatment at one of the Army hospitals in Pakistan.

The Pakistanis, meanwhile, are still busy peddling the ‘2 Indian jets downed’ theory despite the evidence which suggests that of the two jets downed, one of them was a Pakistani F16.

Pakistani social media has been busy exaggerating the achievements of its Army since yesterday. Initially, it was also claimed that their Air Force had played a part in the helicopter crash at Budgam district in J&K. It appeared extremely far-fetched even then and later, even the Pakistani Army stated profusely that they had nothing to do with it.

Picture circulated as wreckage of Indian jet turns out to be one of Pakistan’s F16 shot down by India: Reports

After Indian Air Force had pushed back Pakistan’s attempt to hit India’s military assets yesterday, news had emerged that India had shot down one of the F16s that was used by Pakistan to breach India’s airspace.

Now, News Agency ANI has released the photo of the F16 that was brought down by the Indian Air Force when the Pakistanis attempted to attack Indian military installations yesterday.

Incidentally, the same picture was being circulated as a photograph of the downed Indian jet, however, analysis by IAF officers has confirmed that it is actually an F16, ANI has reported.

ANI has also tweeted a comparison between the cross-section of an F16 and the wreckage of the jet. The comparison appears to indicate that it is indeed an F16.

Pakistani jets had violated Indian airspace on Wednesday morning and entered the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district. They had reportedly dropped bombs but were pushed back by Indian aircraft.

The Government of India had confirmed that the Indian Air Force responded instantly to thwart its attempts. In the aerial engagement, one Pakistan jet was shot down by Indian MIG 21 Bison of IAF. The Indian Airforce has said it had lost a Mig 21, while the pilot is believed to be in Pakistan’s captivity.

In a fresh proposal, US, UK and France ask UNSC to declare JeM chief Masood Azhar a global terrorist

0

The three veto-wielding members of the 15-nation United Nation Security Council, the US, UK and France have moved a fresh proposal in the UNSC on Wednesday, to designate Pakistan-based terror group JeM’s chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist, a listing that will subject him to a global travel ban, asset freeze and arms embargo.

The Security Council Sanctions Committee will have 10 working days to consider the fresh proposal submitted by the three members.

This proposal is the fourth such attempt in the last 10 years to list Azhar as a global terrorist.

India has been consistently trying to get Masood Azhar declared as a global terrorist. Back in 2009, India had moved a proposal to ban Azhar. In 2016 again, India moved a similar proposal with the P3 (the United States, the United Kingdom, and France) in the UN’s 1267 Sanctions Committee to ban Masood Azhar,   at the wake of the 2016 attack on India’s Pathankot by JeM terrorists.

The P3 nations had moved a similar proposal again in 2017. However, on all occasions, the proposal had been blocked by China, another veto-yielding member of the UNSC.

However, in the aftermath of the Pulwama attack, France had again moved a proposal at the United Nations (UN) to ban Jaish-e-Muhammad chief Masood Azhar.

The Pakistan based terror organisation had claimed responsibility for the horrific attack on a CRPF convoy on February 14 at Pulwama near Srinagar.

This cowardly attack has evoked strong global condemnation. Almost all Nations except China has denounced Pakistan’s aided dastardly attack on Indian soldiers. The UN had also broken its silence and issued a strongly worded statement against the heinous act of terrorism against India.

The UNSC statement has also asserted that India has the right to defend itself against the threat of terrorism.

India resolute to take stern action against Pakistan’s constant infringements, especially after the Pulwama attack had taken several measures to ensure it hits Pakistan diplomatically and financially.

2 days back, India entered Pakistan’s airspace in the wee hours of January 26 and bombed JeM facility in Balakot and other areas. In the operation, a very large number of JeM terrorists, trainers, senior commanders and groups of jihadis who were being trained for suicide attacks were eliminated. The facility at Balakot was headed by Yousuf Azhar, the brother-in-law of the JeM chief.

Hours after the Indian Air Force carried out the air strikes, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres reiterated his “urgent appeal to both the Government of India and the Government of Pakistan to exercise maximum restraint to ensure that the situation does not further deteriorate”.

This fearless retaliation, executed by the IAF has left Pakistan totally spooked. Tension grips the Nation as more reprisals are expected from India.

Court to hear JNU sedition case, as Arvind Kejriwal govt is yet to give sanction to prosecute Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid and others

On Thursday the Delhi’s Patiala House court is scheduled to hear Jawaharlal Nehru University Sedition case, in which the Delhi police special Cell had submitted 1200-page charge-sheet in January this year. The JNU sedition case has seen no proceeding so far due to the Arvind Kejriwal government’s refusal to give nod for prosecution. Accused in the case are Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid, Anirban Bhattacharya and several others.

On 6th February this month when the case was last heard, the Patiala House Court had asked Delhi police to speed up the proceedings by receiving Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi Government’s sanction for prosecution. It had also added that state government cannot delay the case by withholding nod for prosecution.

But it was revealed before the court that the Delhi government did not respond to the charge sheet after receiving it. According to Delhi police, first request to sanction prosecution was sent in 2016, and another request was sent in January this year, without any results.

In cases like JNU sedition row, Police has to solicit a sanction to prosecute from Delhi state’s law ministry. Then the file has to go to Lt. General. The court cannot take cognisance of charge sheet without state government’s nod. It is expected that Delhi Police will ask for another date in the case from the court so as to be able to convince the state government.

In February 2016, the students of JNU had organized an event to mark the anniversary of terrorist Afzal Guru who had attacked the Indian Parliament. Many slogans challenging the Indian State’s sovereignty and calling for its balkanization were raised. At the event, slogans like ‘Bharat Tere Tukde Honge’ and Afzal hum sharminda hain, tere katil jinda hain’ were captured in news reports.

Sonam Kapoor plagiarises ‘Humans of Hindutva’ propaganda post, pontificates on ‘Hindu fundamentalism’

Actor Sonam Kapoor has taken to the oldest trick in the book of film promotion: take up a cause whenever a new film is about to release. Last year, it was the Kathua rape case which she, along with her buddies from the cringefest which was passed off as the desi version of Sex And The City, Veere Di Wedding, were ashamed as an Indian because a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped inside a prayer hall. While later investigation showed how the case got all murky, the placard activism catapulted Sonam into the league of Leftists.

No, I’m not kidding. Karan Johar, the flagbearer of nepotism in Bollywood who provides a launchpad to talentless star kids, referred to Sonam as a ‘bonafide Leftist’ in his talk show a few weeks back. Kapoor, who can’t even boast herself to be an ‘army brat’ (a term used by actors whose parent have served the Armed Forces, thereby giving them the entitlement to speak on matters concerning national security) has now taken the current situation at the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan to speak about Hindu extremism and how an average Hindu and Muslim want peace. No surprise here that her film ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga’ was just released and her film ‘The Zoya Factor’ is expected to be released in about a month.

Except, she has shared (rather plagiarised without giving due credit) a post by the hate-page ‘Humans of Hindutva’. On 26th February, the day Indian Air Force destroyed terror camps in Pakistan, Humans of Hindutva decided to pontificate and make the airstrikes targeting terror camps about ‘Hindutva’.

Humans of Hindutva Facebook post.

The hatemongering Facebook page Humans of Hindutva masquerading as a ‘parody’ account reeks of hate under the guise of satire. Considering the mainstream Leftist media and other ‘celebrity Leftists’ love the Facebook page, it does not come as a surprise that the new ‘bonafide Leftist’ Sonam Kapoor would plagiarise the propaganda piece and share without giving credit.

Sonam Kapoor being ‘bonafide Leftist’

Since Sonam Kapoor is an actor, a celebrity, here is a look at what her Pakistani counterparts are busy doing.

Veena Malik/Khan is a model/actor and has acted in films in India as well as the popular reality show Bigg Boss. That makes her Sonam Kapoor’s colleague, an average Pakistani. In the above tweet, Malik/Khan is seen getting excited at seeing the image of wounded Indian Air Force pilot who was beaten up by Pakistani people after his aircraft crashed as he tried to chase Pakistani Air Force jet which had violated Indian airspace. Malik/Khan is rejoicing that the IAF pilot is yet to see how he will be welcomed.

She then shares a video of what appears to be the IAF pilot in Pakistani army custody, being informally interrogated. He, at this point, is a prisoner of war.

She is taunting her ‘Bollywood buddies’ (people like Sonam herself) and asks the Prime Minister to not mess with ‘us’ (Pakistan).

Another of her colleague, Ali Zafar, an ‘average Pakistani’ just like her who has forayed into Hindi films was cheering for their Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Ali Zafar was referring to the recorded message by Imran Khan which came five days after the ghastly Pulwama terror attack carried out by Pakistan-bred Jaish-e-Mohammad. He had said how Pakistan will take action against perpetrators if actionable evidence is shared with his government. This after ample evidence that Pakistan’s soil nourishes terrorists. Khan’s message was not only prerecorded but also heavily censored, perhaps to suit his bosses, the ISI.

Oh, and in case she has not kept up with the news taking place, a terror group trained a boy to carry 350 kg explosives-laden car and kill 44 of our soldiers. He did so because he wanted to go to ‘Jannat’ after killing those who drink ‘cow urine’. And in case she is not aware the ‘cow urine’ was a crude reference to Hindus who consider cow holy. Many even believe that cow urine has medicinal value. So, no, Sonam, the terrorist didn’t kill our soldiers in name of ‘Ram’, but he killed them in name of Jihad. Because he was trained to do so in a terrorist camp based in Pakistan.

No one is asking Sonam Kapoor to go Veena Malik/Khan style and show a thirst for blood or like Ali Zafar, praise the leadership just because of the post he holds. But this might just be a good idea to stop monkey balancing. Stop making the LoC situation about Hindus vs Muslims. This is a country, the ideology which has been breeding terrorism. Call it like it is. And while you are at it, perhaps a learn a lesson or two of unabashedly standing by your country instead of feeding fodder to the country they are at war with.

Oh and speaking of Islamic fundamentalists, I hope your pontification begins at home. Here’s a reminder of the good times your father spent with the man who bombed the city you live in.

In a big setback for Gandhis, Delhi High Court upholds eviction of Associated Journals Limited from Herald House

In a big blow to the Congress President Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi, Delhi High Court has upheld the eviction of Associated Journals Limited (AJL) from Herald House, reports ANI.

The Delhi High Court was hearing the AJL appeal challenging the December 21, 2018, order of a single judge, dismissing its plea against the Union Government’s October 30 decision to take over the ‘Herald House’ building in Delhi belonging to the Congress mouthpiece National Herald for violations of the specified conditions on which the land was allocated.

However, the bench of Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice V K Rao has not clarified on the time in which Associated Journals Limited has to evict the Herald building. The Bench had reserved its verdict on February 18 after hearing the counsel appearing for Associated Journals Limited (AJL) and the Centre.

The National Herald Scam is one of the most notable legal cases in Indian history since the Gandhis are directly accused. Congress President Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia, along with their aides – Oscar Fernandez, Motilal Vohra and Sam Pithroda are alleged to have involved in massive ‘cheating and breach of trust’ in the acquisition of Associated Journals Ltd (AJL) by Young Indian Pvt Ltd (YIL), as assets worth crores of rupees had been allegedly transferred for purposes other than originally intended for a paltry sum. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi got unconditional bail in December 2015.

The Union government had decided to take over the ‘Herald House’ building in Delhi belonging to the Congress mouthpiece National Herald after it had found severe violations. The Union government had contended that the Herald House was not being used for the specified purpose of printing the newspaper, which was the primary condition of leasing the land to the publisher at a highly nominal rate. The publishers had reportedly violated the condition and misused the allotted land.

Congress and other opposition parties peddle lies on all-party meeting, get support from Pakistan

Yesterday, the 21 parties in the opposition had held a meeting and issued a joint statement over the current security issues regarding Pakistan. Congress president Rahul Gandhi had read the statement after the meeting.

Rahul Gandhi, reading the statement, stated that the current government is trying to politicise the sacrifices made by the armed forces. The statement made a grandstanding that national security must transcend narrow political considerations. It also stated that the leaders of the opposition parties have observed that regrettably, the PM has not convened an all-party meeting as per the established practice in our democracy.

This statement, however, is a bold and blatant lie. The central government has convened two all-party meetings after the 14 February Pulwama attacks so far.

The first all-party meeting was called by the government on February 16 after the Pulwama attacks. It was chaired by home minister Rajnath Singh where he had briefed all representatives of political parties over the attack that had claimed the lives of 40 CRPF men.

The second all-party meeting was convened by the central government on 26 February where EAM Sushma Swaraj has briefed the political leaders about India’s air strikes on Jaish-e-Mohammad terror camps.

Apart from that, there also have been meetings of the Cabinet Committee on Security where opposition leaders were also present.

The blatant lies of the Congress and the opposition parties were called out by many on social media too.

At a time when the nation is engaged in an intense diplomatic and military strategising to secure India’s best interests against a terrorist supporting Pakistan, the sheer damage that such a statement and posturing can do is evident from the fact that Pakistan’s official radio channel has used the statement to target the government of India.

After pledging support for the government and within hours reneging over that pledge to put false blames on the government over matters as sensitive as national security exposes a new low in the kind of politics grand old Indian parties have been reduced to.

Pakistan violated Article 13 of the Geneva convention when it released footage of Indian pilot to humiliate him: Experts

The Pakistan Army has violated the norms under the Geneva Convention after it released the videos of Indian fighter pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who is reportedly in Pakistan’s custody.

According to Washington Post, some experts believe that Pakistan may have deviated from the norms of the Geneva Conventions and violated regulations written to protect prisoners from “insults and public curiosity,” as spelt out in Article 13.

Article 13 of the Geneva Convention says that “Prisoners of war must at all times be humanely treated. Any unlawful act or omission by the Detaining Power causing death or seriously endangering the health of a prisoner of war in its custody is prohibited and will be regarded as a serious breach of the present Convention. In particular, no prisoner of war may be subjected to physical mutilation or to medical or scientific experiments of any kind which are not justified by the medical, dental or hospital treatment of the prisoner concerned and carried out in his interest. Likewise, prisoners of war must at all times be protected, particularly against acts of violence or intimidation and against insults and public curiosity.”

“Releasing the video would be prohibited by that provision,” Rachel E. VanLandingham, a military justice expert at Southwestern Law School, reportedly has told The Washington Post on Wednesday. As reported by Post, VanLandingham has said it was a clear recognition they shouldn’t have released it as Pakistan and India are both signatories of the Geneva Conventions.

“Here, there was no military necessity to release the video, and presumably it was released with the intent to humiliate the captive and, thus, the state of India, and, thus, Pakistan is in violation of Article 13,” she said. The article is applicable since the international conflict has occurred despite the lack of a formal declaration, VanLandingham added.

In a deliberate act, the Pakistani Army had released a video of a blindfolded and injured Indian Air Force pilot. The Air Force pilot had shown exemplary courage when he was being interrogated and only gave his name, service number and identified himself as a Hindu. When more information was sought, Commander Varthaman replied coolly, “I’m sorry sir…that’s all I’m supposed to tell you.”

The videos circulated online showed the pilot pulled from the wreckage and was beaten by the mob before the Pakistan Army dispersed the mob. In another video, the brave Indian soldier was shown sipping his tea while refusing to answer questions about his aircraft and mission.

On Wednesday, India Government has rightly pointed out that Pakistan breached norms of International Humanitarian Law and the Geneva Convention by its ‘vulgar display of injured personnel’.

In its demarche, India noted, “India also strongly objected to Pakistan’s vulgar display of injured personnel of the Indian Air Force in violation of all norms of International Humanitarian Law and the Geneva Convention. It was made clear that Pakistan would be well advised to ensure that no harm comes to the Indian defence personnel in its custody. India also expects his immediate and safe return.”

10 remarkable details of the Indian air strike over Balakot terror camp

Yesterday morning between in the early hours, 12 Mirage 2000 aircraft of the Indian airforce flew deep inside Pakistani territory and bombed a major Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist camp to dust. It was an operation immaculately planned and executed with pinpoint precision. The fact that the Mirage jets successfully bombed the terror camps and came back without a scratch, is a remarkable tale that will be told for years to come.

Here are 10 most remarkable facts about the air strike by Indian Air Force yesterday that not only turned a large-scale terror establishment to smoke but also ensured India’s moral, strategic and diplomatic win after the dreadful Pulwama attacks.

  • It was the first operation after the 1971 war with Pakistan that the Indian fighter jets have crossed the LoC and flown inside Pakistani airspace. Even during the peak of Kargil war between the two countries, the then Vajpayee government had ordered the Indian Air Force not to cross the LoC. As per reports, the Indian Air Force had planned it in since February 15, just a day after the Pulwama attack.

  • NSA Ajit Doval and Air chief BS Dhanoa worked throughout the night on Monday, monitoring the preparations and operations from the war room in IAF headquarters. Director General of Air Operations Air Marshal Amit Dev and his team played a significant role in the operations from the war room.
  • Apart from the 12 Mirage 2000 aircraft that had taken off from their respective air bases in Gwalior and Agra, a formation of Sukhoi Su 30-MKIs, 5 Mig 29s were also on standby to protect the Indian airspace. Reports say that while the IAF put assets worth over Rs 2,568 crores flying across the LoC, it kept equipment and aircraft of over 3600 crores on standby for necessary support.

  • The 12 Mirage fighter jets flew with their radars turned off to avoid detection by the enemy. It was two of the IAF’s Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft, DRDO developed ‘Netra’ or the ‘Eye in The Sky’ that guided them across the LoC into the enemy territory. The Netras shepherded the 12 Mirage jets during the air strikes. The Netra’s eye is a 1.4-ton AESA radar mounted on it which can detect targets from over 200 km away. The five flight controllers on the EJ-145 directed the aircraft to their target, right up to the release of the bomb and back.
  • An Ilyushin II-78 aerial refuelling tanker travelled with the fleet of Mirage 2000s. Some reports say that a number of Sukhoi Su 30-MKIs were also airborne during the operation. Guarding the Mirage 2000s against any threats.
  • An Israel-made UAV Heron, a medium altitude long endurance drones developed by the Israel Aerospace Industries was also keeping the Mirage 2000s company. It was deployed to carry out real-time air surveillance.
  • The Mirage 2000s carried the SPICE ‘smart bombs’ made by Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defence Systems. Each SPICE 2000 is approximately a 1000 KG air to ground bomb that can be launched from a distance of 100 km. Israel had used these same bombs in Syria. The SPICE uses a Digital Scene Matching Area Correlator (DSMAC) technology. The technology enables it to match the target as it zooms in, with pre-fed images apart from the GPS coordinates. They also come with anti-GPS jammer, which means the enemy cannot manipulate its homing device. The Mirages also used the Israeli made Lightening Targetting Pods to target the precise locations.
  • The Balakot terror camp was chosen based on strong intelligence that it has long been used as a training and indoctrination facility and currently there are more than 300 terrorists and many top commanders housed there. Balakot camp was located in the woods, away from the civilian area. It was a top facility with playground, swimming pool, racing tracks, an ammunition dump, and social media war room. Many trainers in the facility are believed to be ex-ISI and the Pakistani army. Indian intelligence sources reportedly had enough credible information that JeM has called back its terrorists from Launchpads along the LoC and many of them have been holed up in Balakot camp. Even the US intelligence agencies are said to be aware of the existence of the Balakot camp after they had detained Hafez Rehman, a Taliban terrorist who was trained in the Balakot camp.
  • 25 top Jaish-e-Mohammad commanders, including Masood Azhar’s brother-in-law Yusuf Azhar, Maulana Ammar, associated with Afghanistan and Kashmir ops and Maulana Talha Saif, brother of Maulana Masood Azhar and head of the preparation wing have also been killed in the air strikes. 6 buildings of the camp, located about 60 km straight distance away from Abbottabad were levelled in the air strike.
  • India’s official statement after the attacks, that it was a pre-emptive non-military action, has actually worked to put Pakistan in a fix. Pakistan had earlier claimed that no damage was done in the attack. But after the UNSC statement and the support of many global powers that India has a right to self-defence against terrorist groups, drain away any validation from Pakistan’s cry of victimhood after the attacks.

It has been reported that PAF actually scrambled some F-16s after the Indian air strike, but seeing India’s massive formation of airborne fighter jets and other aircraft, it hastily backed down. Pakistan, already losing face over a failed democracy and its continuous harbouring of terrorists, depleted military aid from the US after Donald Trump put his foot down and the subject of international isolation, has been reduced to a joke by its own government and military officials.

India’s air strikes may not have ended terrorism from our hostile neighbourhood, but it has delivered a thundering message across the world that Indian will not be a helpless victim, but it will take decisive and aggressive action against the threats to its sovereignty and peace.
