The police have arrested Arshad, Wahid, and Muzaffar in connection with the death of a Hindu woman's in Churu.

The incident took place on Sunday afternoon in Naugaonwa village of Alwar when a Rajput Barat (wedding procession) was passing through a Muslim-dominated area.

An FIR was registered in connection to the case, wherein it was stated that a total of 10-15 Muslim men were involved in the heinous crime.

“They were forcing her to convert. Since she didn’t agree to religious conversion, she was murdered,” Niranjan Hiremath, the Congress Councillor from Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC), said

DCP (Southeast) Rajesh Deo stated that no eyewitnesses were found during the investigation of the crime scene. Later, authorities recovered CCTV footage showing a man stabbing the victim, assisted by three others.

The complainant said that caste-based slurs were used against her and that the accused told her she would have to convert to Islam since she belonged to a backward caste.
