The Hindus protested against the incident and raised slogans after which the Islamists attacked several Hindu activists for allegedly informing the police about the slaughtering of gauvansh.

After the video went viral, the Ranchi police registered a case and launched a manhunt for Amanullah and Hakim Khan, identified as the primary accused in the case.

The FIR has been filed against only 5 members from the minority community. However, it is believed that around 10-20 members gathered to attack the Hindu family.
