Following the uproar by Hindu activists, police reached the spot and arrested six individuals, including Pastor Deepak Singh Sidar, Pooja Sidar, Deepa Gotel, Gurvinder Singh, Shivkumar Dhivar and Madhu Kumar.
Subsequently, the victim’s family approached the police station demanding action against the accused. The protesting locals gheraoed the Saraswati Nagar Police Station in Kota.
“We have to stop the conversion of tribal population in the state. It is a crucial issue that has to be addressed. We will take whatever measures are possible in the legal framework to stop this,” said Deputy CM Arun Sao.
