Hindus attacked

A third FIR filed by the PGVCL power department has confirmed that electricity supply to five Kutch villages, including Raidhanpar, was deliberately tampered with and disrupted by human intervention at the exact time violence broke out on 29th May.

Local Hindus said that incidents of violence frequently occur during Hindu weddings in the village.

The time has come to not only be alert and aware of the Islamic religious fundamentalist and jihadi challenges present within India and the neighbourhood. There is a serious need to give befitting reply to the designs of anti-Hindu and anti-India forces present inside and outside the country with every possible strategy.

"What is the administration doing? They (Muslims) are committing atrocities against us repeatedly," the victim's father asked.

A group of Muslims gathered on a local road and started attacking Hindus passing from there.

The victims narrated chilling testimonials of murder, attacks on Hindu temples and homes and the role played by mosques in supervising the violence. They also highlighted the inaction of the local police, and the complicity of TMC councillors in the violence.

Hindu families have lost their homes and livelihoods in Murshdiabad. Their water tanks have been poisoned and they have been subjected to both rape and death threats. The Hindus, fearing for the safety and security of their families, had to flee to the neighbouring Malda district.
