The British drew a border in haste, divided a civilisation with a ruler, and left behind a fractured subcontinent, while much of the truth about how the line was drawn went up in flames with Radcliffe’s papers.

Partition Horrors Remembrance Day honours the millions uprooted, displaced and scarred by Partition while preserving their stories as a solemn reminder of the human cost of division.

The origins of the separate electorate can be traced back to British India, when the foreign regime acquiesced to the demands presented by the Islamists to facilitate their communal agenda. The British Parliament's Indian Councils Act 1909, also referred to as the Morley-Minto Reforms, proposed the creation of distinct electorates for Muslims.

By commemorating the 'Hyderabad Liberation Day', and Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, the GOI is ensuring that the present generation of Indians knows how hard it was to secure a fragmented nation, how difficult it was to protect a wounded, bleeding country from enemies outside and inside, and how hard our predecessors fought for our sovereignty to build today's India.

Khalistanis don't want people to think that partition was India's loss, they don't think it was a loss for Hindus; they peddle the narrative that Punjab sacrificed land and life so naturally, for them, Sikhs sacrificed land and life and hence Sikhs, as per Khalistanis, have a divine right to a separate state carved out of India.
