Spiritual leader Devkinandan Thakur on Thursday urged the United Nations to take immediate action against the recent violence in Bangladesh and said that if the international peacekeeping organisation fails to act, it should dissolve.
As October 7 marks the completion of one year of the horrific day when Hamas launched an offensive on Israel, the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres said that it is a day for the global community to condemn the "abhorrent acts of Hamas."
The United Nation’s mission found that there was a pattern of extreme sexual violence including rape, gang rape and mutilation of corpses. The report indicated there were at least three locations where such heinous acts were witnessed by the victim.
