Home News Reports Islamist and leftists trolls claim victory as JWDubai Marquis terminates contract with Atul Kochhar

Islamist and leftists trolls claim victory as JWDubai Marquis terminates contract with Atul Kochhar

The Michelin-Star chef Atul Kochhar, has paid a hefty price for speaking his mind. In a latest development in chef Atul Kochhar’s predicament, as tweeted by controversial journalist Rana Ayub the star chef’s contract with JWDubai Marquis has been terminated.

JWDubai Marquis, with whom the star chef was attached, seemed to be in no mood to forgive him even after his self-reproach, and yesterday decided to terminate his contract with the hotel. OpIndia contacted the hotel and confirmed the termination of the said contract.

Before the chef’s contract was terminated, Kochhar had posted an unconditional apology for his tweet. Many did believe that this apology was owing to the severe backlash, threats and possibility of prosecution in UAE, a country that mostly disregards freedom of expression and takes cases of ‘blasphemy’ against Islam very seriously. Much like our homegrown ‘liberals’.

The Indian-origin chef in the United Arab Emirates had landed in a controversy after he posted an allegedly anti-Islam tweet. As soon as he tweeted highlighting the age-old Islamist persecution of Hindus, the leftists and Islamists on social media attacked him with all their might.

Atul, one of those, sceptical about Priyanka Chopra’s apology, slammed her for not respecting the Hindu sentiments by tweeting,

After the social media outrage, Atul Kochhar apologised, incidentally without refuting the persecution of Hindus which he had highlighted earlier.

“Liberals”, somehow not convinced kept hounding the celebrity chef, with the restaurant aggregator named “Halal Gems” issuing a statement about them no longer carrying information about his restaurants.

It is amusing to watch the so-called liberals who scream the loudest about “intolerance in Modi’s India” stoop to a level where they have managed to endanger someone’s life and livelihood for merely pointing out a historically established fact. It is also amusing that it is the same liberals who take immense pride in denigrating Hinduism.
