On the 10th day of my daughter’s death, her soul must have found peace: Hyderabad victim’s father after 4 accused were killed in encounter

After all four rapists were killed in a police encounter, Indrakiran Reddy, the law minister of Telangana, has stated that 'God has done justice'.

The Hyderabad rape and murder victim’s father has stated to the media that his daughter’s soul must have found peace today, after news broke out that all the four accused have been killed in a police encounter when they were trying to escape.

As per reports, speaking to ANI, the victim’s father has thanked the government and police for delivering justice to the perpetrators.

The victim’s father added that today is the 10th day after his daughter’s death and his daughter’s soul must have found peace. It is notable here that as per Hindu traditions, the departed soul’s family pays obeisance and performs rituals of the ‘dasah’ on the tenth day.

Women and girls were seen celebrating and hailing police officials at Hyderabad today.

Early on Friday morning, the Shamshabad DCP Prakash Reddy had stated that the accused were taken to the scene of the crime for a reconstruction procedure as a part of the investigation. The accused, Mohammad Arif, Shiva, Chennakesavalu and   Naveen allegedly snatched weapons from the police and tried to flee. They were all killed in retaliatory police fire.

Apart from this, Indrakiran Reddy, the law minister of Telangana, has also stated that ‘God had punished the rapists’.
