France: Rioters attack mayor’s house in suburban Paris, try to kill his wife and children

The large-scale violence and riots that broke out in France after Algerian migrant Nahel M was shot by police personnel last week, are still raging. On the night of Saturday, July 1, the rioters attacked the residence of Vincent Jeanbrun, a mayor from Paris’s suburban area.

Jeanburn was not at home at his residence at L’Haÿ-les-Roses, in suburban Paris, when some rioters tried to set fire to his family home. When the rioters attacked his house, Jeanbrun was reportedly in his office late on Saturday night, working in late hours to oversee the law and order situation.

The rioters used a car to ram into the gates of the house. After they got inside they set the vehicle on fire, in an attempt to burn the entire house.

Jeanbrun’s wife, Melanie Nowak, was at home with her 2 children when the attack happened. As per reports, when Nowak tried to escape from the burning house with her children aged 5 and 7, the rioters attacked the family with firework rockets, trying to burn the woman and her two children.

Nowak has suffered a broken leg while trying to protect her children. One of the children has also suffered injuries.

Elisabeth Borne, the Prime Minister of France, has severely condemned the attack on the mayor’s family. She has called it an attempt to murder and ‘intolerable’.

The attack on the mayor’s family has triggered widespread condemnation from the political class. Mayr Jeanbrun has said, “A line has been crossed”.

“It is a murder attempt of unspeakable cowardice. If my priority today is to take care of my family, my determination to protect and serve the Republic is greater than before”, he added.

Mayor Jeanbrun is from the center-right Les Republicains party.

Violence and riots in France

Riots have been raging in France since Tuesday, 27 June when Algerian teenager Nahel M was shot to death by two policemen. Nahel was stopped by the cops and was asked to show documents. When he tried to speed up and flee, the cops fired on him.

Son after Nahel’s death, the protests started in the western suburb of Nanterre, where Nahel was killed. It quickly spread across other regions, including the Hauts-de-Seine and the eastern city of Dijon. Reports suggest that a group of protesters set a bus on fire after ordering the passengers to get off the bus. The incident took place in the Essonne region.

In less than a week, the violence, arson, protests, and loot have spread almost all over France, causing a situation that many are calling similar to civil war.

As on Saturday, over 45,000 police personnel have been deployed across the country, and over 900 people have been arrested. Meanwhile, over 800 cases of arson have been reported in France.

You import garbage; you become weaker: As France burns, old video of Islamic cleric Imam Tawhidi warning West against the import of migrants goes viral

Amidst the ongoing riots in France, an old video of Islamic cleric Mohammad Tawhidi, warning against the import of migrants to the country, has gone viral on social media.

In an interview dated September 9, 2022, the ‘Imam of peace’ talked about how Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) cannot operate in Muslim countries but freely operate in nations such as the UK, the US, Canada and Australia.

While speaking on combating extremism, Islamism and political Islam, Tawhidi said that terrorism is being executed in two manners. First, it is done within the Muslim world and second, outside the Muslim world.

Further, he explained that within the Muslim world, it is necessary to expose the corrupt clerics “by all means necessary”. Tawhidi said once, “You put doubt in me, I will change. I am a human at the end of the day. If you place doubt in me about someone, my heart will place question marks and then eventually switch.”

He added, “If there is enough evidence, we must expose them. The problem is fear and the lack of interest in wanting to expose the corruption within the Islamic seminary, within the books.”While explaining the problem with the Western narrative, Tawhidi said that it is “completely twisted when it comes to extremism”.

Giving an example of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), he said they could freely wave their flag in Toronto. He lamented how no one says that their ideology is about “blood and butchering people”.

Tawhidi gave an example from a general household. He said people consume goods daily, and some garbage is produced. The household then puts that garbage away, which is later collected by the municipal corporation. That garbage is not kept at home as it would create illness and bacteria.

“Society also has garbage. You have murderers and criminals, and then you have filthy garbage ideology where someone says you are a woman and you should stay at home, or someone says you are a woman and you need to cover your whole body (as) it is a private part. Someone says this guy is a Jew or Christian; they need to be dealt with. This ideology is filthy (and) cannot be respected,” he added.

While pointing out the crisis being faced by the Western countries, he said, “There is no crisis (in the Islamic world). The Muslim countries are doing good. Only in some places is there a problem. I say you are in a crisis. You went to the Muslim countries, and you imported the garbage that the Muslim countries wanted to put in prison or isolate away from society. You went, and you imported them for cheap labour. But these Islamist extremists do not want to work.”

Imam Tawhidi lauds Polish model of keeping extremists at bay

Imam Tawhidi said, “They want free welfare. They want to marry French women (with) blonde hair and blue eyes. They do not have time to work. Look at Poland. They do not complain about Islamic extremism. Not a single terrorist attack in Poland. The moment they sense there is a problem, they crack down on it. Polish policy is beautiful.”

Contrary to Poland, he added, the extremists come to France and use resources. They go to Washington, DC, and sit in Congress. “They support the Iranian regime. They go against the sanctions in Congress with their Hijab. Why? Because the ideology is filth, to begin with,” the Imam of Peace said.

“When you import that, or you allow it in, or you amplify or glorify it, in a way, you make your bed and sleep on it. So that is also a problem of the West. The question is, did the extremists become stronger, or did the West become weaker? I say it is both,” he emphasised.

France has been witnessing riots since the alleged killing of a 17-year-old boy named Nahel in a police shooting on June 27 (local time). Several cities in France are burning. The rioters have burnt down shops, public and private properties, vehicles, and residential buildings and looted several establishments.

Gurugram: One Salman arrested for raping a 16-year-old girl after spiking her cold drink, both work at same factory

On the 2nd of July, Delhi Police stated that a 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 22-year-old man in Gurugram. The accused was identified as Salman.

The Police added that the accused was known to the complainant as both of them worked together in a toy factory in Delhi. The official said, “It has been alleged that the girl was allegedly raped by one Salman. Both the complainant and the accused knew each other. They both work in the same factory.”

As per media reports, the accused Salman raped the minor girl after spiking her cold drink. DCP outer district, Harendra Kumar Singh, stated that the victim approached the police on the 1st of July after which the accused was arrested.

As per ANI, the alleged incident took place on the 29th of June. Apparently, the accused Salman took the minor girl to his brother’s house in Gurugram. It is alleged that there he gave the victim a spiked cold drink, after which she fainted. Reportedly, when she woke up, she had no clothes on her body.

As per the girl’s complaint, the accused did this with her at least 2-3 times. She also added that Salman used to threaten and blackmail her not to disclose the incident to anyone.

The Police officials stated that a case was registered at Mundka Police Station on the 1st of July under various sections of the IPC including charges of rape and the POCSO act. The statement of the victim was recorded before the Magistrate under section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Subsequently, the accused Salman was arrested and sent to judicial custody.

DCP Singh said, “Case registered on July 1 u/s of IPC Rape &POCSO Act at PS Mundka. Statement of the victim recorded before Magistrate u/s 164 CrPC. Accused has been arrested & sent to judicial custody.”

Similar past incident

Earlier, on the 17th of June, a similar case came to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki district.

Back then, Barabanki Superintendent of Police (SP), Dinesh Kumar Singh informed that an FIR under IPC sections 376/511 for rape attempt was lodged at Haidergarh police station on the girl’s complaint.

He added that the medical examination of the girl was done earlier. However, before her statement could be recorded in front of the judicial magistrate, the police were informed about her suicide.

Reportedly, five days after her complaint about a rape attempt, the victim committed suicide. Her family members alleged that the girl committed suicide because of the delay in the arrest of the accused. In the meantime, she was also facing mockery by the accused.

They added that the victim was very depressed by the incident and reportedly decided to end her life.

Barabanki SP Singh stated that the investigation officer of the case, Sub-Inspector Yogendra Pratap Singh was suspended reportedly for negligence in the case investigation. Later, a departmental inquiry was also initiated against him.

Fight over leader of opposition starts between Congress and NCP after NCP names Jitendra Awhad as new LoP of Maharashtra following the defection

After around 40 NCP around 40 NCP MLAs led by Ajit Pawar defected and joined the BJP-Shiv Sena (Shinde) government in the state on Sunday, July 2, 2023, NCP leader Jitendra Awhad was named the leader of the opposition in the state assembly. But Congress has now come ahead with its objection to the new leader of the opposition, as the Congress party is the largest opposition party in the house now. Congress questioned how NCP can appoint LoP when it has been reduced to just 13 MLAs.

Within two hours of Ajit Pawar’s rebellion, following which he resigned from the post of leader of the opposition and took oath as the deputy CM, Sharad Pawar named Jitendra Awhad the state’s leader of the opposition. He has also been appointed as the whip of the NCP legislature party. Anil Patil was the whip earlier. Anil Patil rebelled along with Ajit Pawar and the post of party whip also required reappointment. Jitendra Awhad was appointed to this post as well, along with being named the leader of the opposition.

However, Congress has come ahead to oppose this decision of Sharad Pawar. Maharashtra Congress spokesperson Atul Londhe said that the party with most Members of the Legislative Assembly gets to appoint the Leader of the Opposition and it is a formula to which no one can have any objection. He said that it is an accepted formula, hence, Congress doesn’t even have to claim anything.

He said, “Full picture is not clear yet. It would be too early to say anything. But why there is a leader of the opposition from NCP now? Earlier there was the leader of the opposition from NCP because they had a higher number. Today, as we talk now, the picture is not clear. Today Congress has 45 MLAs. Ajit Pawar is claiming that he has 40 MLAs with him. Then the NCP have only 13 MLAs left with them. I think the full picture will become clear in the next two to three days. As the Congress party has the most number of MLAs in the opposition among the three of us, we three parties will come together and fight in the house against this government. The leader of the opposition will be decided at that time. We need not separately claim for the leader of the opposition. This is a fixed formula and I think no one should have any problem with it.”

Earlier Nationalist Congress Party leader Jayant Patil said that Jitendra Awhad’s name has been sent as the chief whip. A letter has been sent on behalf of the NCP to the speaker of the Assembly.

For the past few days, there has been a move to change the post of leader of opposition in the state. There was also a demand that the post should now be given to Shiv Sena (UBT). So after Ajit Pawar resigned from this post, speculations were being made about who would get this post. Ajit Pawar resigned from the post of leader of opposition in the state on Friday. It was then that the NCP apparently sensed that there was going to be a big development in the state.

Wagner group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin-controlled media empire shuts down permanently after failed mutiny attempt in Russia

Days after private military company Wagner headed by Yevgeny Prigozhin attempted to take over Moscow and then abandoned it on the same day, the group has announced that it is shutting down its media operations completely. A director from a media publication under the media holding group controlled by Prigozhin announced the closure of the media holding company that runs several media brands.

Patriot Media, owned by Wagner Group boss Yevgeny Prigozhin, will be shut down after the failed coup attempt. On the 1st of July, the holding’s social media account uploaded a late-night post in which RIA FAN director Yevgeny Zubarev delivered a video message. RIA FAN is one of several media brands under Patriot Media, which operate separate media outlets and publications.

In the video, Zubarev said, “I am announcing our decision to close down and to leave the country’s information space.” However, he didn’t give any reason for this sudden closure of the media outlet.

RIA FAN news site was considered the most prominent outlet of Patriot Media. Previously, the news site had taken a strongly nationalist, pro-Kremlin editorial line. Additionally, it also ran positive coverage of Prigozhin and his Wagner Group.

Other media brands under Patriot Meda include the Federal News Agency, People’s News, Economy Today, Nevskiye Novosti, and Politics Today. All of these media houses are being shut down permanently, as the Wagned Group has decided to exit the media space completely.

Earlier, on the 30th of June, the Russian newspaper Kommersant reported that the country’s communications watchdog Roskomnadzor had blocked media outlets linked to Prigozhin. However, they didn’t elaborate on it any further.

Similarly, other Russian media reports also confirmed about the closure of the Prigozhin-controlled media outlet. Reports added that a “troll factory” allegedly used by Prigozhin to influence public opinion in foreign countries including the United States had been disbanded.

Further, Zubarev praised Patriot Media’s record and stated that they defended both Prigozhin and Putin from attacks by the anti-Kremlin opposition, including jailed Putin critic Alexei Navalny.

As per Reuters’ report, he stated that the Patriot Group had worked “against Alexei Navalny and other representatives of the opposition who genuinely tried to destroy our country.”

Crackdown against Wagner Chief Prigozhin

The closure of the media group Patriot Media comes after the failure of the purported mutiny involving Prigozhin’s Wagner Group mercenaries. The development highlights Prigozhin’s worsening fortunes.

Despite the rebellion which was quickly aborted, Russian authorities have not officially banned the Wagner Group. However, on the 27th of June, Putin announced that the finances of Prigozhin’s catering firm would be investigated

He added that Wagner and its founder had received almost $2 billion from Russia in the past year.

Notably, the Wagner group was founded in 2014 after Russia annexed the Crimea peninsula and started supporting pro-Russia separatists in Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region. Wagner fighters have fought some of the bloodiest battles of the 16-month war in Ukraine. The mercenary group has recruited thousands of ex-prisoners from the Russian jails.

Under Prigozhin’s leadership, the mercenary group is said to have grown into a sprawling international business with mining interests and fighters in Africa and the Middle East. But the rebellion or mutiny is proving to be a costly deal for this mercenary group and its chief Prigozhin.

Earlier, on the 23rd of June, the Wagner Group staged a rebellion against the Russian leadership and its military. However, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko brokered a deal between Russian President Putin and Wagner Chief Prigozhin.

As a result of this deal, Prigozhin was allowed to take exile in Belarus. On the 25th of June, Belarusian President Lukashenko confirmed Prigozhin’s arrival in Belarus.

Additionally, the negotiated deal allowed Wagner fighters to either join Prigozhin and take exile in Belarus or integrate into Russian armed forces or return home. The Russian President Putin also announced to drop all charges against the Wagner fighters. However, the recent action suggests that the aftermath of the rebellion is far from over.

Bihar: Mohammad Salam gives triple talaq to his wife, she accuses brothers-in-law of sexual assault, her brother beaten after she was thrown out

A triple talaq case from the Bihar district of Muzaffarpur has surfaced. The victim has charged that her husband’s younger brother touched her private areas while his older brother forced her to have sex with him. She was also beaten by her in-laws on 1st July. The incident was reported to the police after which they filed a case and opened an investigation.

The case pertains to Muzaffarpur’s Qazi Mohammadpur police station. Two years ago Usrat Parveen was married to Mohammad Salam who is a teacher in the Satpura Milkitola neighbourhood. She is a native of the Vaishali area. She alleged that after marriage, she was subjected to torture for dowry.

She even endured abuse from her in-laws for not having a child. Her husband’s younger brother used to sexually assault her in the absence of the former. His older brother also used to mock her for not having any children. He used to taunt her, “Come and sleep with me, I will make you pregnant.”

The woman informed that after she told her husband about the lewd behaviour of her brother-in-laws, he became determined to give her triple talaq. She has mentioned that her husband also forced her to bring a car from her mother’s house as part of the dowry. However, she was physically abused and boiled water was repeatedly flung at her after she refused to do so.

According to her, the in-laws fought with her and beat her over the demand for dowry. Her husband left the house after pronouncing triple talaq and she was thrown out of the house by her in-laws. Her brother was also thrashed after he arrived there. She revealed that her husband had attempted to perform triple talaq on three separate occasions. However, the matter was pacified with the intervention of the family members.

As the opposition tries to stitch together an alliance against BJP, Kejriwal says that Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh govt is known for corruption

Since the opposition parties met in Patna on the 23rd of June, Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party has been locking horns with Congress on the issue of the Centre’s ordinance over Delhi. Now, after extending ‘in-principle’ support to Uniform Civil Code in the backdrop of PM Modi’s pitch for the same, AAP has opened a new front against Congress, this time in Chattisgarh.

On the 2nd of July, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann jointly addressed a public meeting at Science College, Bilaspur.

In this public meeting, Kejriwal launched an attack against the incumbent Congress government. He stressed that the Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh is synonymous with corruption. AAP National Convenor Kejriwal further alleged that both Congress and BJP have looted the voters. Adding that earlier, the condition of Delhi was the same, Kejriwal stated that it was known for the CNG scam.

Kejriwal said, “At present, Chhattisgarh is known for corruption and scams. Both the Congress and BJP looted the state alike.”

Addressing the public, Punjab CM Mann stated that while the nation got everything it lacked capable leaders who could run the government. He claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party neither has money, nor goons. Similarly, while others make false promises, AAP gives guarantees.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Mann shared the highlights of the event and targeted the Congress government.

He wrote, “At Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, addressed a Maharalli with Arvind Kejriwal ji. The gathering took place because of the enthusiasm of people towards the party and the nation. This gathering is a response to the anti-people policies of the present Congress government. The departure of Congress from Chhattisgarh is certain. People have adopted honest thinking. The Aam Aadmi Party’s caravan is getting bigger day by day.”

Kejriwal further urged the voters to overthrow the Congress government and elect the AAP government in the state. He argued that if they want free ravdis, free treatment, free electricity, and good education, they should elect AAP.

Apart from attacking the Congress, Arvind Kejriwal also targeted the Union government and PM Modi.

It is important to note here that after Raipur, Bilaspur is the second largest division of the state. There are 24 assembly seats in this division. Currently, Congress has 13 seats, BJP has 7, and two each are with Jogi Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party.

This is the reason why AAP has chosen Bilaspur for kickstarting its campaign in the poll-bound state.

Earlier, on the 30th of June, BJP National President JP Nadda also held a public meeting in the Bilaspur division.

‘I am the reliable face of the NCP’, claims Sharad Pawar after mass defection led by Ajit Pawar, says he rebuilt the party after such defections earlier too

In a massive political development in Maharashtra, around 40 NCP MLAs led by Ajit Pawar revolted and joined the BJP-Shiv Sena (Shinde) government in the state on Sunday, July 2, 2023. 8 MLAs of NCP were sworn in as ministers, as Ajit Pawar became Deputy Chief Minister. Ajit Pawar has also claimed the party and the symbol. Amid all this turmoil, party president Sharad Pawar has come ahead and said that he still considers himself the reliable face of the party. Sharad Pawar made these remarks at a press conference he addressed after the rift in the party.

While answering a question that whom he considers a reliable face of his party, Sharad Pawar raised his hand and said, “Sharad Pawar.”

Several MLAs who were accompanying Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar to Raj Bhawan expressed their discontentment with the unilateral decision made by Sharad Pawar to join the opposition alliance. According to sources, these MLAs were upset by Sharad Pawar’s move to share the stage and form an alliance with Rahul Gandhi of Congress during the opposition unity meeting held in Patna. The decision did not sit well with some members of the NCP, who felt that they were not adequately consulted or informed about the move.

Sharad Pawar said in the press conference, “Two days ago, the Prime Minister of the country made a statement. It was done against the Congress party and the NCP. At that time, he said that the NCP is a party involved in corruption. He also referred to the complaint regarding irrigation. He referred to this and said that the NCP was involved in corruption. I am happy that today he agreed with the oath of office to some members of the NCP in the Cabinet. This means that the allegations he made were not true. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for clearing every one of the charges levelled by him.”

Sharad Pawar added, “The second question now is whether some of our colleagues have taken a different stand than the party’s stand. On July 6, I called a meeting of some prominent party leaders from Maharashtra. Some questions were raised in the meeting. There were some questions about organisational changes, which I was going to consider. But before that, some of our colleagues took a different stand from the party. We are the party. I am of the clear opinion that in two to three days a picture of how much different this stand of some members of the party, especially from the legislature, will come to the fore.”

Sharad Pawar further said, “Some of the people whose names have come up have contacted me and said, ‘We have been invited and signed, but our position is different’. I’m not going to talk about it right now. If those who are telling me raise this in front of the public, I will accept it or else I will assume that they too took a different stand.”

Sharad Pawar stated, “Today’s case may be new to others. This is not new to me. After the elections in 1980, 58 MLAs of the party I was leading were elected. A month later, all but six had left. Everyone left the party, I was the leader of the opposition. That’s when I became a leader of five people. I went out of Maharashtra with five people. I rebuilt the party. In the elections that followed, we saw our number go up to 69. Of those who left the party at that time, all but four lost. I’m seeing how the same picture that we saw in 1980 can be built with the support of the people. I have immense faith in the people of Maharashtra.”

USA: 2 dead and 28 injured in a mass shooting at a block party in Baltimore, shooter absconding

In yet another mass shooting in the United States, two people were killed and 28 were injured in a mass shooting in Baltimore. The incident occurred early Sunday morning at a block party in the 800 block of Gretna Avenue in South Baltimore, according to Baltimore Police.

During a press conference held at the spot, Baltimore Police Department Acting Commissioner Richard Worley confirmed the number of dead and injured saying that 30 people were shot with 28 injured and 2 dead. The person who carried out the mass shooting is yet to be arrested.

Both of the people killed were adults. An 18-year-old girl was killed in the shooting that took place at around 12:35 AM. While a 20-year-old man was pronounced dead after being rushed to a local hospital. Three of the victims are critically injured.

Nine people were transported from the scene to local hospitals, while 20 others affected walked into hospitals in the area, police said. Medstar Harbor Hospital’s emergency department treated 19 patients on Sunday morning, all suffering varying degrees of injury from gunshot wounds after the incident. The hospital said that nine critically injured patients were stabilized and transferred to Baltimore trauma centres.

According to Baltimore Police Acting Commissioner Richard Worley, officers responded to multiple calls after 12:30 a.m. and discovered one woman dead and nine others with gunshot wounds. Hundreds of people were gathered in the area for an event called “Brooklyn Day.”

Witnesses said that they heard 20 to 30 shots. The crime scene was spread over multiple blocks, littered with debris, and authorities said that it will take some time for detectives to work it.

At this time, there is no information on suspects or a motive, but investigators are “working an extensive crime scene,” according to Worley. The incident, according to Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, was a “reckless, cowardly act that happened here and that has permanently altered many lives and cost two people their lives.”

According to him, the tragedy “highlights the impacts and the need to deal with the overproliferation of illegal guns on our streets, as well as the ability for those who should not have them to get their hands on them.”

It is pertinent to note that in recent times, the United States has witnessed a dramatic surge in mass shooting incidents. On June 18, at least 29 people were shot in Willowbrook, Illinois, near Chicago.

Earlier in June, a mass shooting in San Francisco left nine injured in a “targeted and isolated incident” as stated by the police. The shooting took place at around 9 pm during a party hosted by a clothing store Dying Breed near the intersection of 24th Street and Treat Avenue in the Mission district.

Ajit Pawar claims party and election symbol after taking oath as Deputy CM of Maharashtra, says rest of NCP MLAs will join soon and the party is not split

After around 40 NCP MLAs led by Ajit Pawar revolted and joined the BJP-Shiv Sena (Shinde) government in Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar has now claimed the party and the symbol. On Sunday, July 2, 2023, 8 MLAs of NCP were sworn in as ministers, while Ajit Pawar became Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra in a dramatic development.

Ajit Pawar said in a press conference that it is very important to give importance to development. He said, “For the last 9 years, PM Modi has been doing a lot of work for development. Seeing him, I felt that I should also be a partner in the journey of development, so I wanted to join the NDA.”

Ajit Pawar added, “Since our country became independent, we have seen that the country moves forward due to leadership. First, there was Nehru ji, Patel ji, and then Lal Bahadur ji came to the leadership. After that came the leadership of Indiraji. After the Emergency, the government was formed under the leadership of Indiraji. After that, Rajiv ji’s government was formed. After 1984, there was no single leader in our country under whose leadership the country went ahead. The government was formed in different groups.”

Ajit Pawar further said, “You must have seen in the last nine years that under the leadership of Modi ji, the government is working for development. He also got a lot of respect abroad. It’s all going well. The opposition only sees their own states. I don’t see any leader of the opposition who can lead the country. The entire opposition is scattered against Modi. They are fighting among themselves. “

Ajit Pawar said, “The name and symbol of the party will also remain with me. I have also contacted the rest of the MLAs and many MLAs will reach here by this evening. Beyond this, we will fight on the symbol of the party (NCP), whether it is the Zila Parishad or other panchayat elections. You will recall that in Nagaland too, 7 NCP MLAs were elected and they decided to join the BJP government for the sake of development.”

Ajit Pawar stated, “We have the blessings of all the Nationalist Congress Party people, everyone comes to the NCP. We have all the MLAs with us and all our party leaders. All means everyone.” In all this, he also indirectly implied to include Supriya Sule and Sharad Pawar.

NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal was also present at the press conference. Chhagan Bhujbal said, “We have supported this government as NCP, we have not formed a separate party.”

Chhagan Bhujbal said, “The name and symbol of the party will also remain with us. I have also contacted the rest of the MLAs and many MLAs will reach here by this evening. If we want to solve the problems of the people of Maharashtra, the problems of the farmers, then we need to work positively. We criticise Prime Minister Narendra Modi on many occasions. But he is leading the country very strongly and the country is safe in his hands. The Government of Maharashtra, The Government of India is trying to solve the problems of the people by taking immediate decisions on the development work. There are many problems of OBCs, these issues cannot be solved without the cooperation of the Government of India.”

Bhujbal added, “In fact, a few days ago, Sharad Pawar said that Modi will become PM again in 2024. You have to think positively. People’s problems must be solved. We should take the help of the government, we should help the government, we will try to solve the problems of the people.”
