Jai Bhim row: Chennai court orders FIR against actor Suriya, wife Jyothika, and director for showing Vanniyar Community in bad light

The critically acclaimed film ‘Jai Bhim’ that turned out to be a huge hit in the year 2021 is in controversy for allegedly wrongly representing the Vanniyar Community. In regard to the controversy, a Chennai Court on Thursday directed the Police to file an official complaint against actor Suriya, his wife Jyothika, and director Gnanavel.

This is after the representatives of the Rudra Vanniyar Sena approached the Saidapet court in November 2021 to seek directions to file case against the actor couple and the director of the movie. They mentioned in the petition that some of the scenes from the film ‘Jai Bhim’ allegedly showed the Vanniyar Community in a bad light. They also mentioned that the villain in the movie had been shown from the Vanniyar Community with their sacred motif ‘Agni’ being situated in the frame. “The sub-inspector in the movie, is shown from the community and is depicted as an enemy of the Irular community”, the petition stated.

The Court heard the case first on April 29 and directed the Police to file case against actor and director of the film on Thursday. The court noted that some cognizable offence is disclosed in the complaint and that prima facie, a case is made out. The court has forwarded the complaint to the Inspector of police in Velachery to register an FIR according to law and investigate the case. The case will be heard again on May 20.

The film ‘Jai Bhim’ has been produced by the actor couple Suriya and Jyothika and has been directed by Gnanavel. It is important to note that the film was the top searched film of the year 2021 and is one of the boldest films to have come out of Tamil cinema. It revolves around the character named Senggeni (Lijomol Jose), the wife of Rajakannu (Manikandan) who fights a lonely battle in the road to justice for her husband’s custodial torture and death. She meanwhile gets the rousing support from her lawyer named Chandru (Suriya).

This is not the first time that the film that is claimed to be based on true events has found itself in the eye of a raging storm. Earlier, the film had gripped into controversy after the viewers accused the creators of the movie of peddling fiction under the guise of making a movie based on true incidents. The viewers had alleged that the makers of the movie had deceitfully changed the castes of certain characters to perpetuate their political propaganda.

Recently, the legal drama bagged two awards at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF). Actor Manikandan, who played the role of Rasakannu received the ‘Best Supporting Actor’ award while the film itself bagged the ‘Best Film’ award. The film was released on November 2 on OTT platform Amazon Prime.

‘There wasn’t adequate Police presence to control the mob’: Rajasthan Police say they failed to prevent violence despite intelligence inputs

On May 3, several areas of Jodhpur city witnessed clashes and violence when mobs started attacking the police following Eid prayers. Tension had erupted on the intervening night of May 2 and May 3 when a Muslim mob replaced a Bhagwa flag with an Islamic flag at the Jalori intersection in Jodhpur and taped the face of a statue of Freedom Fighter Balmukund Bissa.

Jodhpur Police have now confessed that the violence could have been nipped at an early stage if a timely assessment of intelligence reports had been done properly.

Reports say, there were comprehensive intelligence reports issued on the brink of Ramzan Eid and Hindu festivals of Parshuram Jayanti and Akshay Tritiya upon challenges that could prevail to maintain the law and order. However, Jodhpur Police was reportedly hesitant in taking decisive action when on the night of May 2 several Muslim youths gheraoed the Jalori Gate in the city to hoist an Islamic flag by replacing the Bhagwa one. Following this, on the next day,  a large mob started damaging vehicles and pelting stones on the police just after the Eid Namaz.

Some members of the mob had a scuffle with the Police after returning from Eid prayers. While they went on a rampage to vandalise vehicles parked on the road, the Police used a lathi charge to disperse the crowd. As the mob successfully managed to derail the law and order situation, Rajasthan Police’s promise of keeping the same fell flat the violence broke out in Jodhpur. Navjyoti Gogoi, Police Commissioner has admitted the lapses saying that there wasn’t an adequate Police force to deal with the situation. According to Gogoi, taking advantage of the scarce Police presence, the violators were able to escalate the situation.

Additional DG (law and order) Hawa Singh Ghumeria will now be ensuring that after reviewing the situation, an enquiry will be set up to examine the faults in the case. The city of Jodhpur continues to be under curfew while the Police is closely monitoring the situation with the help of CCTVs. To make sure that the situation does not escalate in the coming week, the Police have extended the curfew until Friday midnight. 13 FIRs have been registered in the case, and over 100 people have been arrested.

What happened in the Jalori Gate violence?

As per reports, during the Parshuram Jayanti celebrations, Hindu groups had hoisted saffron flags on the Jalori Gate Square. Some members of the Muslim community objected to it, after which the administration requested the Hindu community to remove the flags. The community obliged the request and removed all but one flag.

at around 11 PM, members of the Muslim community climbed on the statue of the freedom fighter Balmukund Bissa and removed the saffron flag. They covered the face of the statue with tape and hoisted an Islamic flag. During the scuffle between the communities, a police post nearby was also vandalized. Following the incidents of violence, Uday Mandir police Station in-charge Amit Sihag issued orders for a lathi charge in which at least seven journalists were injured. Jodhpur West Mayor Vanita Seth said though the stone-pelting was started by the Muslims, Police blamed Hindus for the same. Rajendra Rathore, Deputy Leader of Opposition, Rajasthan said that CM Ashok Gehlot failed to maintain peace in his own constituency.

Even as ‘fact-checks’ emerge, Congress leader Revanth Reddy says lady with Rahul Gandhi in Kathmandu nightclub was indeed the Chinese Ambassador

In a sensational disclosure, Telangana Congress President and Congress MP Revanth Reddy admitted that the mysterious lady seen with Rahul Gandhi in the Kathmandu nightclub was indeed a Chinese ambassador.

Speaking to a local media, Revanth Reddy made the stunning claim that Rahul Gandhi had met the Chinese Ambassador in a nightclub in Nepal’s Kathmandu.

Responding to a question posed by the journalist regarding the claims made by the BJP regarding the controversial images of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with a lady in Kathmandu’s nightclub, Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy said that the BJP leaders do not have the mental capacity to understand the social and family values.

He also confirmed that Rahul Gandhi had gone to Nepal to attend the wedding of his family friend Sumnima Udas, a former CNN journalist known for propagating anti-India views. During his trip, Rahul Gandhi attended a dinner party, where he was seen with a woman, who the Congress leader confirmed was the Chinese Ambassador.

“The videos of Rahul Gandhi talking to the Chinese Ambassador is in the public domain. It did not secretly happen behind closed doors, and Kathmandu is not a restricted area or enemy territory. You do not even need a passport or visa to enter Nepal. Rahul Gandhi attending the wedding of his friend is depicted as something very huge. However, it is not,” Revanth Reddy defended Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with the alleged Chinese Ambassador.

Revanth Reddy is believed to be a very close aide to Rahul Gandhi, and the recent admission by the Telangana leader will put the Congress party in an embarrassing situation as the party had claimed that he was on a personal visit to Nepal and not on a political visit.

The sensational disclosure comes just a day after India Today had published a ‘fact check’ claiming that Rahul Gandhi was not seen partying with a Chinese ambassador, instead, he was talking to a friend of the bride at the wedding he was attending.

In the fact-check, India Today had claimed that Rahul Gandhi visited the nightclub on May 2 along with five or six people. The report also stated that no Chinese ambassador was present along with Gandhi during his visit.

“He [Rahul Gandhi] was here for one and half hours. It was his personal visit. Nobody from the Chinese embassy was present with him,” India Today had quoted Rabin Shrestha, the CEO of the pub which Rahul Gandhi was allegedly seen with the Chinese envoy.

The report had claimed that the lady was a friend of the bride who was also invited to the wedding ceremony.

However, the recent admission by the Congress leader and a close aide of Rahul Gandhi has once again ignited a debate regarding whether the Gandhi-scion had really met the Chinese ambassador during his secret trip to Nepal.

Rahul Gandhi’s trip to Nepal

A video of Wayanad MP and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a pub in Nepal went viral on Wednesday.

In one video, the Congress scion, who had visited Kathmandu to attend an alleged wedding, was seen using his phone while he was seen talking to a woman in another video. It was speculated that the woman Rahul Gandhi was partying with was Hou Yanqi, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal.

As per a report in The Kathmandu Post, Rahul Gandhi had gone to Nepal to attend the wedding of Sumnima Udas. He was accompanied by three other people and stayed at the Marriott Hotel in Kathmandu. The marriage of Udas took place on May 3, while the reception will be held on May 5 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Punjab: Senior Amar Ujala journalist Alok Verma brutally attacked by unknown assailants, gets 27 stitches on head

Senior Journalist Alok Verma of Hindi news outlet Amar Ujala was brutally attacked by unknown assailants in Punjab’s Zirakpur on Tuesday night.

As per Amar Ujala’s report, two bike-borne assailants attacked Alok Verma when he was returning home after his duty hours. The accused attacked Alok Verma with a baseball bat and an iron rod on his head and fled with his wallet and mobile phone.

The journalist has received serious injuries on his head. The doctors had to put 27 stitches on his head, as per reports.

The injured Alok Verma fell to the ground. However, the attackers continued thrashing the journalist. Alok Verma kept shouting for help, but no one reached out to save him. Later, Alok Verma, covered in blood, somehow reached his house. He was later admitted to the hospital.

GMCH Medical Superintendent Dr Sudhir Garg said that Alok Verma was brought to the emergency at 3.45 am. He had suffered a serious wound on his head, leading to a lot of bleeding. He was discharged from the hospital at 2.30 pm as there were no internal injuries.

Meanwhile, the Chandigarh Press Club condemned the attacks on the senior journalist and urged the Punjab police to register a criminal case against the attackers and immediately arrest the accused. The Chandigarh Press Club also urged the state government and police to ensure the safety of journalists.

Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has condemned the attacks on the Amar Ujala journalist and attacked the Bhagwant Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government for failing to prevent such attacks. He said anarchy is let loose on the streets of Punjab.

“Murderous attack on @AmarUjalaNews journalist Alok Verma in Zirakpur is condemnable. Wishing him a speedy recovery. The @AAPPunjab govt has completely abdicated its authority and has proved to be a miserable failure. Anarchy is let loose on the streets of Punjab!” Captain Amarinder Singh tweeted.

Muzaffarnagar, UP: History sheeter brothers Naeem and Naseem surrender before police, were accused in cow slaughter cases

The trend of history sheeters and career criminals surrendering before police in Uttar Pradesh under CM Yogi Adityanath’s rule has been continuing. In the latest development, 2 criminals from Muzaffarnagar’s Shahpur area have surrendered before police and have vowed to stay away from criminal activities.

Muzaffarnagar Police have shared that the two persons were accused in cow smuggling and slaughter cases too. The accused are Naeem and Naseem.

Naeem (History Sheeter number 26A) and Naseem (History Sheeter number 27A) both are siblings. These two, sons of Naseer, live in the Basi Kalan village that comes under the Shahpur police station of the Muzaffarnagar district. They reached the Shahpur police station holding identification slates. Both the history sheeters are accused of killing cows. In front of the police station in-charge, both of them took an oath not to commit any crime ever again and to spend a crime-free peaceful life ahead.

Naeem is one of the top-ten criminals in the Shahpur police station area. Both of them have a total of 18 cases registered against them including the cases of cow slaughtering and cases under the gangster act.

Fearing an encounter, the miscreants reached the Shahpur police station with placards hanging around their necks and swore before SHO Radheshyam Yadav not to commit crimes in the future. Speaking of guilt and a desire for penance, the brothers surrendered inside the police station premises and promised to stay away from crimes in the future.

Atul Kumar Shrivastav, Superintendent of Police (Muzaffarnagar – Rural), said, “Two history sheeters surrendered before the station in-charge of the Shahpur police station. One of them is among the top ten criminals of the Shahpur police station. Both of them are accused of cow slaughter. They admitted to not committing any crime in the future. Both of them admitted that they will regularly mark their attendance at the police station.”

The surrender series continues in Yogi Adityanath’s second tenure

At least 50 criminals had surrendered within 15 days of the Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government returning to power in Uttar Pradesh on 10th March 2022. Interestingly, many criminals walked into the police stations holding placards with a message announcing their promises. The fear of police action and bulldozers running over illegal properties have made many criminals surrender in the state.

Bhima Koregaon violence: Maharashtra police drops Hindu activist Sambhaji Bhide’s name as there is no evidence against him

The Maharashtra Police has informed the Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission (MSHRC) that Hindutva activist Sambhaji Bhide, the founder of Shiv Pratishthan Hindustan, has been discharged from the Bhima Koregaon case stating that there is no evidence against him.

According to reports, the Pune police, which is investigating the Bhima Koregaon case, has filed a report before the Maharashtra Human Rights Commission (MSHRC) stating Sambhaji Bhide has been dropped from the 2018 Koregaon-Bhima violence case as he was not found to have played any role in the violence.

The police submitted the report to MHRC on Wednesday. The one-page report said that as Bhide’s role was not found in the case, hence his name was dropped.

“We have submitted this information to the commission… The name of Bhide has not been included in the charge sheet since there is no evidence against him so far,” Pune Superintendent of Police Abhinav Deshmukh said.

The Pune police had filed a case against Bhide and others under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and various sections of the IPC for their alleged role in the Bhima Koregaon violence perpetrated on January 1. Besides Bhide, another Hindutva leader Milind Ekbote was also booked in the case based on the complaint by Dalit activist Anita Sawale.

The violence chiefly broke out in the Pune district prior to the 200th celebration of a British victory over the Peshwas. This ‘victory’ has been spun by leftist historians as a ‘victory of Dalits’, owing to the British army supposedly comprising Dalits and other lower castes while the ruling Peshwas were Brahmins.

In 2021, advocate Aditya Mishra approached the MSHRC, saying that former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had stated in the Assembly that the case against Mr Bhide would be withdrawn, but that did not happen.

In his complaint, Mishra had stated, “Can anyone frame any XYZ as an accused casually without any evidence on the basis of hearsay?” He further pleaded that a status report be sought from the police in the case against Bhide. Mishra had also asked from the commission “necessary directions as per law in the interest of justice,” saying, “how long will a sword of FIR hang over the head of Bhide guruji”.

In response, the MSHRC had then summoned Pune Rural Police officials and sought a status report in the case against Bhide.

Earlier, in 2018, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had made a statement in the state assembly, saying that there was no proof of Bhide being involved in said Bhima Koregaon violence perpetrated on January 1, 2018.

Kerala man Askar Ali says family tried to kidnap him right before he was going to do a press conference about leaving Islam

Askar Ali, who renounced Islam recently, has alleged that he was being harassed by his relatives. Speaking to The New Indian Express, he said on May 1, before he addressed the conference of Essence Global, his kin tried to kidnap him. He said, “Two relatives came to me on the pretext of discussing family matters and took me to the beach in the morning. Later, with the help of others who arrived in a car, they forcibly tried to put me in the vehicle. One person smashed my mobile phone. I screamed, and people who rushed to the spot called the police.”

Askar is currently living at a friend’s place and had to appear before the magistrate as his family members had lodged a missing person complaint. He added, “I left Islam after I studied it in detail. When I was doing the [Hudawi] course, there was very little opportunity to read materials other than those related to Islam. During the lockdowns, I got to read other disciplines, which opened my eyes.” Askar said those who leave the religion are seen as despicable creatures by their family members.

On May 4, it was reported that 24-year-old Askar was attacked by a Muslim mob for leaving Islam. He filed an attempt to murder case with the Kollam police. In his complaint, Ali alleged that the mob attacked him after he quit Islam and added that he was facing threats from within the community for doing so.

Askar Ali, who hails from Malappuram, has completed a 12-year Hudawi religious programme from a prominent religious academy in Malappuram. On Sunday, he was in Kollam to deliver a talk on his experience as a student of Islamic studies at an event organised by Essense Global, an organisation promoting “scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform in society”.

In his complaint, Ali said that a group of people from Malappuram tried to abduct him to ensure that he did not address the event.

Apostasy punishable by death in Islam

Apostasy in Islam is punishable by death. In 2014, in eight Muslim majority countries, apostasy, abandonment of Islam by a Muslim, was punishable by death. In thirteen countries there were either penal or civil penalties like jail time, fine or even losing child’s custody. Just a few decades back, majority of Shia and Sunni jurists believed that leaving Islam was crime as well as sin.

Congress leaders try to pass off 11 yr old pic of Bhutanese kings as the latest image of Rahul Gandhi attending his Nepali friend’s wedding: Fact-check

On May 5, after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) objected as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was seen attending the wedding of his Nepali friend and former CNN correspondent Sumnima Udas, Congress tried to pass off an 11-year-old photograph of him with Bhutanese Kings as a recent one. Uttarakhand Youth Congress, AICC member Ashok Basoya and others shared the photograph.

The Nepal trip had come under controversy after Rahul Gandhi was seen partying with an unknown woman in Nepal. Since then, Congress has gone out of its way to prove that he was really in Nepal attending the wedding of Sumnima Udas and it was not one of his clandestine trips.

Basoya wrote, “One more for Bhakts.”

Rahul Gandhi’s photograph is 11 years old

The photograph, however, turned out to be 11 years old. It was shared by several media houses in 2011. Similar photographs from the same day are available on the stock image website since October 2011.

In a report from October 15, 2011, Hindustan Times used the photograph and described it as “AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi and MoS Jyotiraditya Scindia with former King of Bhutan Jigme Dorji Wangchuck during the wedding reception of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk and Queen Jetsun Pema at the Chang Lime Thang Stadium at Thimpu.” Rahul Gandhi was in Bhutan to attend the wedding reception.

Hindustan Times report from 2011

As one can see, Jyotiraditya Scindia is also in the photograph. Scindia left Congress in March 2020 and joined BJP. He is currently serving as Minister of Civil Aviation. The photograph was clicked by Adrees Latif for Reuters.

The same image has been available on the stock image website Alamy since October 2011. The website described the image as “The fourth, and former King Jigme Singye Wangchuck (R) watches his son King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and his Queen Jetsun Pema (not in picture) take part in their wedding celebrations at Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu October 15, 2011. Standing with King Wangchuck are his wives, India’s Rahul Gandhi (C), Jyotiraditya Scindia, India’s Minister of State for Ministry of Commerce and Industry and his wife Priyadarshini Scindia (L).”

Netizens pointed out the blunder

Several netizens pointed out that the image was old. Twitter user Hawk-Eye said, “They are amazing! Aren’t they? After Tehseen Poonahwala and ilk said Nepali Singer is LOD lady, now another fake post by Ashok basoya INC sharing 11yrs old pic of Bhutan royal wedding whr Jyotiraditya Scindia can also be seen as Nepal wedding pic.”

National Spokesperson of JJP Prateek Som said, “Is this an old pic as the other gentlemen on the left looks like Jyotiradha Scindia.”

Earlier, Congress party supporter and Robert Vadra’s brother in law Tehseen Poonahwala had lied about the woman who was seen with Rahul Gandhi in the party. In a tweet, he shared two images of a Nepali woman appearing with both Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Modi. He claimed that the woman seen in two separate photographs with the Prime Minister and Rahul Gandhi is the same woman who was also seen with Rahul Gandhi in the pub. Despite differences between the woman in the photographs and the woman in the pub with Rahul Gandhi, Poonawalla blatantly lied that it was the same woman.

However, the lady seen in the image shared by Tehseen Poonawalla is Nepali singer Saraswoti Khatri. The pictures which Tehseen Poonawalla shared claiming to be the same woman seen with Rahul Gandhi on Monday night in a pub were actually lifted from Saraswoti’s tweet. She herself had shared the photographs.

Indian elites continue to hate Modi because he is not one of them

One of the reasons many Indians love PM Modi is that he comes from a humble background, without any royal bloodline. That he has made it to where he is now on his own, without any ‘surname’ attached to his name. Which is also one of the many reasons the ‘liberals’ of India hate him.

You see, most of the ‘liberals’ in India are the elites who have always been rich, roam around in privileged circles and are ‘journalists’ and ‘columnists’ mostly because their influential parents, spouses were either politicians, owner of media houses or just very rich.

Here is an example:

A Twitter handle by the name ‘Rupa Gulab’ who identifies itself as ‘writer’ mocked PM Modi when he met the Queen of Denmark, Margrethe II. You see, towards the end of the video, there is a frame where PM Modi and Queen of Denmark sit on a table and fine cutlery is placed in front of them for a meal. Gulab quips, ‘does he even know which cutlery to use?’

Keeping aside the fact that the Prime Minister of India would have a team to help him navigate through the courtesies, in India, where most people use their hands to eat, it will be quite normal to not know the ‘cutlery etiquettes’.

How many of us would find comfort in daal-chawal-ghee when we are feeling low? And how many of us will be eating the daal chawal with our hands? You see, most of us. Even if you don’t, you’d still know how to eat daal chawal with hands. Unlike the elites. Here is how they eat their daal chawal:

At around 10 minute 48 second mark, you can see senior Congress leader and Wayaand MP Rahul Gandhi mix a morsel of rice and daal with his hands and puts it in his mouth, only to have the grains of rice fly all over. Compare that with the way the two men sitting next to him are eating. Those men eat like that every day and know you’ve to bend forward and put food in the mouth so it does not fall, spoil clothes. But Rahul Gandhi doesn’t.

No one questioned if Rahul Gandhi knows how to eat with his hands.

Instead, everyone is in awe of Rahul Gandhi as the prince has decided to grace commoners in a village by his presence and ate with them. See how the camera focuses on him mixing his food with his bare hands. They want to show you how despite all the money and power he has, despite the ‘Gandhi’ family tag and even if his ancestors have been elite politicians of India, 3 of which were Prime Ministers of this great nation, ‘Rahul Baba’ is ‘down to earth’.

This is how the ‘liberals’ in India react to two different powerful politicians.

Modi, who rose the ranks in the party as an ordinary man from an ordinary background who sold tea on railway platform, gets mocked at, ridiculed because ‘he may not not know how to use cutlery’ but Rahul Gandhi, who had power, money, politics served to him on a platinum platter, whose father, grandmother and great grandfather were prime ministers (and came from illustrious families themselves) gets everyone mushing.

But even then they hate Modi. It is because barring the 1% elites in India, the rest of us are hustling. We are working hard to pay our bills. For most of us, pizza was once in a while treat. We’d find it intimidating waltzing into star hotels in Lutyens’ Delhi ordering pasta worth 2,000 rupees. Weekend brunches on The Claridges lawn is not something we’re used to. To be honest, I have never even been to one. The Khan Market elite crowd is likely aspirational for many.

But for ‘liberals’ that is the everyday thing. These very ‘journalists’ hang out at the fancy places and then gush over Rahul Gandhi’s ‘simplicity’ while mocking Modi’s humble roots.

Modi is relatable to most Indians because he is ‘one of us’, who’d happily eat khichdi-kadhi-bataka nu shaak-bhakhri as meal at end of tiring day. And not like a certain someone who goes to undisclosed foreign locations in secrecy at slightest discomfort in India.

Modi is relatable. Modi is aspirational. He gives everyone a hope that if one makes up their mind, a person selling tea on railway platform can become Prime Minister of world’s largest democracy. Not once, but twice.

This is why they hate him.

Kunal Kamra morphs video of 7-year-old boy who sang patriotic song in front of PM Modi in Germany, father fumes, calls it ‘filthy politics’: What happened

Ganesh Pol, the father of the seven-year-old Indian-origin boy who was praised for singing a patriotic Hindi song on PM Modi’s arrival in Berlin in Germany, called out alleged comedian Kunal Kamra for ridiculing his son by morphing a video of him singing in front of Prime Minister Modi.

On Wednesday, left-wing ‘comedian’ Kunal Kamra took to Twitter to post a morphed video of the seven-year-old singing a song in front of Prime Minister Modi. Indulging in cheap theatrics, Kamra used the boy’s singing video to take potshots at PM Modi.

His tweet had come in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s earlier tweet praising the young Indian-origin boy for singing the patriotic Hindi song on his arrival in Berlin in Germany. PM Modi reached Berlin early morning on Monday during his three-day tour to European countries of Germany, France and Denmark.

The young boy was originally seen singing the patriotic Hindi song, “Hey Janma Bhoomi Bharat Hey Karma Bhumi Bharat”. However, Kamra edited out the video to add background songs that were defamatory in nature.

Responding to Kamra’s vile tweet targeting the young boy, Ganesh Pol – the father of the boy, slammed the alleged ‘comedian’ for his insensitivity and schooled him for using a young boy to further his politics. The father of the seven-year-old boy said that his son wanted to sing the song for his beloved motherland and added that though he was still young, he loved the country more than Kamra did.

“He is my 7 year old son, who wanted to sing this song for his beloved Motherland. Though he is still very young but certainly he loves his country more than you Mr. Kamra or Kachra watever u are Keep the poor boy out of your filthy politics & try to work on your poor jokes,” Ganesh Pol said.

It is pertinent to note that alleged comedian Kunal Kamra is facing contempt of charges for making disparaging remarks regarding the Supreme Court in his recently released YouTube video ‘Be Like’. In the video, Kumra had commented on his previous contempt of court case by saying, “Dear SC, kal ki baat bhul ja, l**da pakad ke jhul ja (forget yesterday’s issues, come swing on p*nis).”

In the same video, Kamra added that he respected the food court in the shopping mall more than the Supreme Court and that the SC is a ‘Brahmin Baniya’ affair that does not represent other people.
