Javed Miandad to collect funds in his bank account to pay off loans taken by Pakistan, because lenders may take away ‘atom bomb’ otherwise

Javed Miandad, the former Pakistani cricketer and relative of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, has decided to open a bank account in his name to pay off the national debt of Pakistan. He announced his intentions via a video uploaded on Twitter where he is seen and heard explaining his grand plan.

In the video, Miandad appeals to every Pakistani, including those residing abroad or the corrupt Pakistanis who have ‘looted’ the nation, to donate generously to his campaign. The former cricketer informs his audience that he will soon open a bank account in National Bank of Pakistan, where people can deposit money.

Javed Miandad further revealed that his bank account will be an ‘international’ bank account and it will be his personal one. He declared that he will not allow anyone to operate his bank account, and will use the money deposited in his account to pay off the loans Pakistan has taken from IMF (International Monetary Fund).

Because Pakistan has amassed a lot of debt, Miandad came up with an appeal asking people to deposit money in his bank account every month, so that the entire loan is paid off and Pakistan becomes debt free. Miandad had used #LoanFreePakistan as a hashtag along with the video he had uploaded on Twitter.

Explaining why it was so imperative to get rid of all the loan, Javed Miandad said that if Pakistan wanted more loan, lenders like the IMF will take away the ‘atom bomb’ that is prized possession of Pakistan. Miandad assumed that taking away the ‘nuclear power’ status of Pakistan will be one of the prerequisites of next loan advancement to Pakistan.Miandad said that he was ‘begging’ so that the national debt of Pakistan can be paid off. It should be noted that Google returns the picture of Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, when someone searches for ‘bhikhari’ which is the Hindi/Urdu word for beggar.

We are not sure if Miandad was being sarcastic that lenders may ‘take away’ Pakistan’s atom bomb, but considering the country is a whole new level of parody, it is quite possible Miandad actually meant it.

Javed Miandad

Former Pakistani cricketer Javed Miandad is a close relative of underworld kingpin Dawood Ibrahim. His son, Junaid Miandad is married to Mahrukh Ibrahim, daughter of the 1993 Mumbai blast mastermind. Following the passing of Citizenship Amendment Act, Miandad had gone on an anti-India rant where in a viral video, the former Pakistani cricketer Javed Miandad was seen spewing venom against India. In the video, he was seen brandishing a sword and calling for a Jihad as he claimed to show solidarity with Kashmiris.

Hindu family leaves Gopalganj district in Bihar due to fear after their minor son was killed

Update: An investigation by Bihar DGP says that there is no communal angle in Rohit Jaiswal’s death. The victim’s father has changed his statements quite a few times. The father had alleged that his son was sacrificed to make the mosque powerful by Muslims, which police investigation has found untrue. Eventually, father has also disowned the allegations.

In a horrific incident, a minor Hindu boy, a resident of Bela Dih village of Kateya in Gopalganj, Bihar, was allegedly killed and had his body thrown into a nearby river. The family of the boy have claimed that when they reached the police station with a complaint, they were brutally beaten up by the police. The conditions became so hostile that the family was compelled to leave the village and relocate to somewhere in Uttar Pradesh.

Due to the safety of the victim’s family, the information about their latest location cannot be revealed.

As per the family’s claims, in what transpired on March 28, 2020, few boys living nearby came to Rajesh Jaiswal’s house and took his minor child with them at the pretext of playing cricket. Rajesh Jaiswal belongs to a poor OBC family and used to sell pakoras in the village for a living.

OpIndia gets in touch with the minor Hindu boy’s father

When OpIndia got in touch with Rajesh, he confirmed that the neighbours who took his 15-year-old son, Rohit, with them, who were all Muslims. Rohit was first taken to the mosque, where he was ‘sacrificed’, claimed Rajesh while speaking to OpIndia. A new mosque had been built in the village and it is being alleged that there was a belief that if a Hindu was ‘sacrificed’, the mosque would become powerful and its influence would increase. This is the reason his son was taken to the mosque secretly, family says.

The guardians of those Muslim children, who were sent to call Rohit, were waiting for all the children in that new mosque. When they reached there along with Rohit, he was captured and allegedly strangulated to death, family alleges. There are allegations that six people were involved in the heinous act.

Minor Hindu boy’s sister alleges police took bribe from accused

In a video shared on social media, Rohit’s sister can be seen crying and pleading for help. She is heard saying that her brother was killed and dumped in the river nearby. She alleges that the police had taken a bribe from the accused, hence they were not taking any action against the killers.

OpIndia approached Gopalganj police for statement

Opindia spoke to Gopalganj SP Manoj Kumar Tiwari who informed that action has been taken in the matter and an FIR has also been registered. He refused to respond to the allegations of the victim’s family and said that only the SDPO would be able to say anything in this regard as the investigation of the case has been entrusted on him. However, when OpIndia tried to contact the Hathua SDPO he refused to say anything in this regard saying that he was busy.

Victim’s father Rajesh said that when he went to the police for the first time with his complaint, the Station President Ashwani Tiwari was reluctant to write the FIR. He even offered to arrange a compensation of Rs 8 lakh from the government and coaxed Rajesh not to lodge an FIR. Rajesh alleges that the police also made the postmortem report according to their whims. The dead body of the child was taken inside the post mortem room for barely 2-3 minutes and postmortem was completed alleged Rajesh, raising serious questions on the callousness and apathy of the police in handling the case.

Rajesh confirmed to OpIndia, that a heavy object was tied to the dead body of Rohit to make sure that the body gets fully drowned and does not reappear once it’s dumped in the river. Despite the police being aware of the entire incident, they allegedly kept telling Rajesh that only if he accepts that the death of the child was due to an accident, will he will get the compensation money.

Rajesh said he cried and said that he only needs justice, but Rajesh, somehow, felt that seeing the current scenario, he feels that his family will never get justice.

He confirmed that many media outlets have approached him and spoken to him but none dared to report the incident since Muslims were involved.

Minor Hindu boy’s father says they were abused and assaulted by police

Rajesh told OpIndia that he and his wife kept going back to the police station hoping to get justice, but every time they went there they were abused and humiliated and sent back.

Rajesh alleged that after they approached the police and filed an FIR against the accused, they started receiving threats. Siddha Ansari and Raza Ansari were threatening Rajesh to withdraw the case. When Rajesh approached police inspector Tiwari and informed him about the threats he and his family were receiving, Tiwari advised him to leave the village and settle elsewhere.

Talking to Opindia, Rajesh’s wife confirmed that when they approached the police requesting them to take action against the people who were threatening his family, the police had beaten her and her husband up mercilessly. They twisted his arm and kicked him pinning him to the floor down.

The police is constantly trying to suppress this incident, claimed Rajesh. Fed up with the atrocities of the police and the Muslims in the village, Rajesh and his family decided to leave the village and went an settled in Uttar Pradesh.

Rajesh’s family said that they do not want money, do not want any compensation from the government – just want justice. His son was killed in the mosque and thrown into the river and he is being forced to accept compensation for withdrawing the FIR, this he said was extremely dreadful.

The father desperate to get justice said helplessly while speaking to OpIndia that so far no local leader has also extended a hand to help to his family. The village head and the senior police officer are relatives, due to which the sarpanch is not supporting them, alleged Rajesh. He feared that they could be harmed as the accused will now seek revenge from them.

Suicide of a woman in Gujarat due to family dispute falsely attributed to Coronavirus lockdown in viral Facebook post

A disturbing video was uploaded by a page named “Save India” wherein it claimed that a Nepali woman had committed suicide in Gujarat’s Morbima due to financial problems and hunger due to the ongoing lockdown.

In the video, the body of 2 young girls and the mother could be seen hanging from the roof. The post on Facebook by the user had claimed that the Nepali family had came to Gujarat to work, but as they didn’t get anything to eat during the lockdown, they took the drastic step of killing themselves out of hunger. But this is absolutely false and the woman killed her children and herself due to family dispute, not because of hunger, as pointed out by Facthunt. The video was taken down after it had gone viral on Facebook.

What is the Truth?

According to a Times of India report, the 25-year-old woman, identified as Tulsi Nepali, committed suicide after killing her two daughters, namely Puja and Sirjana in Ravipark Society on Vavdi Road in Morbi, Gujarat, on May 2.

The preliminary investigation conducted by the police has revealed that Tulsi took the law into her own hands after suspecting her husband Vishnu, a gym trainer, of having an extra-marital affair. The incident happened when Vishnu was working out on the terrace of his house. Tulsi had committed suicide after strangling her 5-year-old daughter and 9-months-old daughter on Saturday morning. Vishnu and Puja had indeed come to Morbi five months ago from Nepal.

Snapshot of the Times of India Report

According to a report by ABP Gujarati, the cause of the suicide is unknown and financial crisis or hunger has not been attributed to the incident.

As such, the viral claim that the said woman committed suicide due to food shortage and financial crisis, owing to the Coronavirus lockdown, is false.

Fake News amidst pandemic

Amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, there has been a surge in fake news designed to scaremonger or to peddle a sinister political agenda. Earlier, a contentious video uploaded by a Youtube channel named Tech9587 had claimed that military lockdown would be imposed in the city of Mumbai between May 8 and May 17.

Labelling the information about “military lockdown” as fake, Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Friday reiterated that no army or navy personnel have been deployed for the maintenance of law and order situation in the city of Mumbai.

PIL filed in SC seeking directives for centre to move International Court of Justice against China for spreading coronavirus

A Public Interest Litigation has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking directives to the central government to approach the International Court of Justice for seeking reparations worth $ 600 billion from China for spreading the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic in the country that has so far killed about 2000 Indians and caused extensive financial damages to its once boisterous economy.

KK Ramesh, a resident of Madurai in Tamil Nadu filed the PIL today in the apex court in which he has listed Centre, Law Ministry, Health, Social Justice and empowerment ministries as respondents. The litigant, in his petition, alleges that the coronavirus, which causes the highly contagious COVID-19 disease, was intentionally created in a laboratory in China.

“There is substantial evidence to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the virus originated from the Wuhan Institute of Laboratory,” the petition said.

Apropos of the reason to file the petition in the Supreme Court, the petitioner claimed that since a citizen cannot move the International Court of Justice and only countries can approach it, he has filed the PIL in the top court of the country.

Alleging that it was a deliberate ploy of China to undermine the emerging economies in the world, the petition said, “China intentionally tried to hoodwink India and the world by chalking up the cause of coronavirus to the animal market while there’s overwhelming proof that suggests that it is a biological and chemical weapon to weaken the powerful economies in the world. It deliberately created the biological weapon that killed a large number of people around the globe.”

Citing the Article 32 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner read, “The current writ petition is filed as public interest litigation, seeking a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order or direction or any suggestion or observation or particularly in the nature of writ, instructing the respondents 1 to 4 to approach the International Court of Justice and file a case of $ 600 billion against the People’s Republic of China.”

Growing clamour from the international countries to hold China accountable for the pandemic

There is a growing clamour from the countries staggering under the economic and human toll of the coronavirus to hold China accountable for unleashing a deadly contagion in the world that has affected 4 million people globally and caused 275,000+ fatalities. While many countries have so far abstained from seeking damages from China, fearing economic retribution from Beijing, the United States has been particularly vocal in holding China’s feet to the fire for indemnifying the losses borne by the country due to coronavirus.

Recently, the American president Donald Trump replied in affirmative when asked if he is seeking damages from China for the coronavirus pandemic. Trump responded claiming he is seeking “very substantial damages” from China for the economic downturn induced by the COVID-19, a disease caused by the coronavirus.

The sheriff of Louisiana state in the United States has also sued China for the economic damages caused by the coronavirus outbreak. A class-action lawsuit was filed by Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards in the state of Louisiana on Friday on the basis of “economic damages” wrought by the Wuhan coronavirus.

Fox News Report claimed coronavirus originated in Wuhan Institute of Virology

Recently, a report published by Fox News makes a shocking revelation that the Wuhan coronavirus that has swept the globe was not a natural virus but a man-made one which was accidentally leaked by an intern working at the lab at Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

Mounting an attack against China for its possible complicity in the spread of the virus, US President Donald Trump took cognisance of the exclusive report published by the Fox News which alleged that though the virus is a naturally occurring strain among bats and not a bioweapon, it was being studied in the Wuhan lab and was eventually leaked by an intern.

West Bengal government has not approved any Shramik Express train from coronavirus-ravaged Maharashtra: Indian Railways

After Union Home Minister Amit Shah levelled serious allegations that the West Bengal government is not supporting the Centre in resolving the migrant crisis, the Indian Railways has echoed similar sentiments through its official Twitter account.

The Indian Railways asserted that while it has run more than 300 Shramik trains to shift the stranded migrant workers in different parts of the country to their respective hometowns, the West Bengal government had till today morning granted approval for only 2 trains, one from each Ajmer and Ernakulam to bring the migrants marooned in these regions back to West Bengal.

The Railways further added that only after Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s intervention, the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government in West Bengal approved an additional 7 Shramik trains- 2 from Punjab, 2 from Tamil Nadu, 3 from Karnataka and 1 from Telangana.

Railways also revealed that West Bengal government has not approved any trains from Maharashtra, the state worst-afflicted by the menace of coronavirus, adding that there are requirements of 16 trains to West Bengal and currently 6 requests are pending for which approval is still awaited from WB.

It is pertinent to note that Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government has been accused of being opaque in its efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus outbreak. However, the latest incident demonstrates that the West Bengal government is not only has a nebulous coronavirus response but it has also displayed a lack of empathy for its own distressed migrant workers who are stuck in other states but are unable to return because of Mamata Banerjee’s refusal to approve Shramik Trains.

HM Amit Shah alleges Mamata Banerjee of stone-walling centre’s efforts to tackle the migrant crisis

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has written to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressing disappointment over West Bengal government’s reluctance to extend support to help migrant workers reach home.

In the letter to Mamata Banerjee, Amit Shah has stated that the Centre is not getting the required support from the state government to handle the migrant workers.

According to the reports, the Home Minister has said that the Central government is operating Shramik special trains to facilitate the return of migrant labourers to their native places, but Mamata Banerjee-led state government is not co-operating. Home Minister Shah has also demanded an answer on the Mamata government’s inaction over the migrants’ distress in Bengal.

AAP MLA Prakash Jarval arrested from Saket after a Delhi doctor committed suicide blaming him

Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Deoli assembly constituency, Prakash Jarval has been reportedly arrested by the Delhi police on Saturday evening. The MLA accused of abetting a doctor to suicide has been arrested from Saket of Delhi. The Delhi court had issued a non-bailable warrant against him that led to his arrest.

DCP South Atul Kumar Thakur said that the two accused including the MLA have been arrested. Both are under investigation.

The Saket court had issued a non-bailable warrant against Deoli MLA and the other accused from the Aam Aadmi Party. On the other hand, the MLA petitioned the court for anticipatory bail, which is set to be heard on Tuesday.

According to police officials, a team of about 15 policemen including ACP Sudhanshu Dhama, Vijay Chandel, and Neb Sarai’s SHO Naresh Solanki raided the MLA’s residence in Tigri on Friday afternoon. Govindpuri, Rohini, and other areas of Delhi were also raided. During this time, the assistants and others found at the MLA’s house were also interrogated.

Doctor had committed suicide on 18 April, blamed AAP MLA

The deceased doctor, identified as Dr. Rajendra Singh, was a resident of the Deoli neighbourhood in South Delhi and had committed suicide on the 18th of April. In his suicide note, he accused Prakash Jarwal and his associate Kapil Nagar of harassment and blamed them for his decision to take the drastic step. Consequently, the Police had registered an abetment of suicide case against the AAP MLA and his associate and others in the matter.

The police had stated, “On reaching the spot it was found that Rajendra Singh had committed suicide by hanging on the rooftop of his house. In a suicide note found at the spot, the doctor alleged harassment and extortion by the MLA. The note has been sent to the forensic lab for investigation.”

Already convicted in two cases

In October 2018, Prakash Jarval was convicted for assaulting a woman and her family in Delhi. AAP MLA had allegedly forcefully entered victim’s house along with his other supporters and assaulted the woman along with her husband with an intent to outrage her modesty.

After that he was also convicted in a 2013 rioting case in February 2019. He was held guilty of assaulting cops and damaging public property by a Delhi court.
