Some of his posts were marked by X as a violation of the Rules but the posts were not removed by the time this report was published. Further investigation into the matter is underway.

In a similar matter, a man from a “particular community” was arrested in Ghaziabad for walking a dog with a tag of Shri Ram on the animal’s neck. Reports suggest that Kaushambi Police received a complaint that a person from the Muslim community was walking a dog with a tag of Shri Ram on the animal’s neck.

When police reached the area, they found the complaint to be true. The culprit was immediately arrested by the Police and further investigation into the matter was underway.

Islamists had attacked a Hindu procession celebrating the arrival of Ram Lalla at his birthplace

Notably, yesterday, on 21st January, amidst the celebrations of Ram Mandir Pran Prathishtha in Ayodhya, Hindus carrying out a procession were attacked by an Islamist mob at Mira Road in Mumbai.

While the members of the Hindu community were taking out a procession via Mira Road with flags of Bhagwan Ram and Bhagwan Hanuman on their vehicles and chanting, “Jai Shri Ram”, an Islamist mob attacked the procession. The Islamists reportedly attacked the Hindus with sticks and rods, attacked the members of the Hindu community, damaged the vehicles, and desecrated the religious flags.

Hours after performing Pran Pratishtha rituals at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X to share pictures of himself lighting Ram Jyoti at his official residence in Delhi. He shared the pictures with the hashtag of RamJyoti.

In the pictures, he is seen lighting Ram Jyoti in front of a stunning portrait of the newly consecrated Ram Lalla idol which has been curved from Krishna Shila.

Senior Adviser in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and senior journalist, Kanchan Gupta lauded PM Modi for leading the nation by example. Notably, PM Modi had earlier asked Indians to light Ram Jyoti to mark the historic day of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha and the arrival of Shri Ram at his birthplace after a nearly 5-century struggle.

Along with the video, the post read, “Prime Minister @narendramodi had asked every Indian at home and abroad to light diyas on 22 January 2024 to celebrate the consecration of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in #Ayodhya. Monday evening, PM Modi led the nation by example, lighting Ram Jyoti at his home in Delhi.”

Earlier in the day, PM Modi had announced ‘Pradhan Mantri Suryoday Yojana’ to harness solar energy and equip over 1 crore houses with solar rooftop systems.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, PM Modi tweeted, “All the devotees of the world always get energy from the light of Suryavanshi Lord Shri Ram. Today, on the auspicious occasion of consecration in Ayodhya, my resolution got further strengthened that the people of India should have their own solar rooftop system on the roof of their houses.”

Scuffle breaks out inside Jadavpur University over live screening of Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha

On Monday (22nd January), a scuffle broke out between the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) over the live screening of Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha at Jadavpur University in Kolkata.

As per reports, the ABVP did not receive permission to host the live screening of the event on the university campus due to ongoing exams. Members of the student group nonetheless assembled and chanted the name of Lord Ram.

They gathered in the union room and watched the live screening of Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha. ABVP leader Saptarshi Sarkar informed, “Apart from the ABVP members and students, some staff of the university were also present. The programme will continue till evening.”

The ABVP students were stopped by security guards led by pro-Vice-Chancellor Amitava Datta. This led to a scuffle between the two, leading to injuries.

Later, the members of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) reached the spot and attacked ABVP members. The heated situation was brought under control by the security guards at the varsity.

Thereafter, all university gates were locked and everyone except students writing their semester exams were prevented from entering the campus.

SFI members later held a protest outside the Jadavpur University campus. While speaking about the incident, ABVP leader Monoranjan Joardar remarked, “They are the students of the university. They wanted to celebrate the historic moment.”

“They did not seek permission as it is a moment being celebrated across the country. They had faced some threats from a section of the students for planning to do this,” he added.

“But when they tried to hold their programme, they were stopped by the authorities and SFI members. We want the students to have the right to celebrate such moments,” the ABVP leader further emphasised.

On Monday (22nd January), left-liberal ‘journalists’, ‘activists’, and propagandists also took to social media to whine about the Pran Prathistha of the Ram Mandir. 22nd January 2024 marks the day of the awakening of the Hindu civilisation and the undoing of 496 years of cultural subversion.

As such, it was expected that left ecosystem would be rattled completely.

“I am swearing on Allah if you assist the BJP, nobody will forgive you”: Mamata Banerjee makes Kafir jibe at ‘Sarv Dharm Sambhav’ rally

On the day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi consecrated Ram Lalla’s idol in Ram Mandir, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee courted another controversy for giving an allegedly inciting speech.

Addressing the gathering at Park Circus Maidan, she issued a stern warning to those who support or vote for BJP. She said, “Ek bat yaad rakhna, BJP ko madad mat karna, BJP ko agar tum log madad karoge koi to Allah ki kasam aap logo ko koi mafi nhi karega hum to mafi nhi karenge.” (Translated – Do remember one thing, don’t support/assist/vote for BJP. I am swearing on Allah if you help/assist BJP, nobody would forgive you, let alone me.)

In her address at Circus Maidan during ‘Sarv Dharm Sambhav’ rally, she also reportedly said, “Jo Kafir hain, woh darte hain, Jo ladte hain, woh jeet te hain.”

Taking to X, popular X user Ankur Singh highlighted the controversial remarks and asked, “How Mamata Banerjee is inciting Muslims after Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha?”

Kafir is a pejorative jibe used by Islamists to refer to anyone who doesn’t believe in Islam, polytheists, and idol worshippers even calling for direct harm (annihilation of their existence).

However, this is not the first time that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has used the pejorative term. In May 2022, a video of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee went viral on social media where she was addressing the crowd on the occasion of Eid. During her address, she said something that sounded like ‘Kafir’. She said, “Let them do what they want. We are not scared. We are not cowards. We are not ‘Kafir’ [possibly]. We fight. We know how to fight. We will fight against them. We will finish them.”

Netizens were in disbelief as the video went viral. Many expressed their concern over a sitting CM using the word in a public address. Interestingly, Banerjee, who prefers to speak in Bangla most of the time, gave the statement in Hindi that also added to the speculations that she allegedly wanted to give a message to those who “do not speak Bangla”.

Several netizens have pointed this out. Though it is unclear what the West Bengal CM said during her address, she has a history of making controversial statements. Not to forget, during state elections, she used the slogan “Khela Hobe“, which was commemorated on Direct Action Day. Given such history, no one should be surprised if she used the word ‘kafir’ and said, ‘we are not cowards and know how to fight’.

Karnataka: Tajuddin Dafedar arrested for posting a morphed picture of Ram Mandir with Pakistani flag and ‘Babri Masjid’ written on it

On 22nd January (Monday), the Gadag Police in Karnataka arrested a miscreant identified as Tajuddin Dafedar for creating and posting a morphed picture of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir on social media. The morphed picture was posted on Facebook in which the accused had added Pakistani flags atop the Ram Mandir. He had also inscribed ‘Babri Masjid’ at the bottom of the picture.

The morphed image hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community sparking an outrage from several Hindu organisations which prompted the police to apprehend the miscreant. The police officials have also made the accused delete the objectionable post.

Regarding the incident, the police said that a man was detained in Karnataka’s Gadag district for sharing on social media a morphed photo of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. Superintendent of Police of Gadag Babasab Nemagoud said, “He is a Gadag local. We will probe if he belongs to any organisation. We have taken him into custody.”

The viral Facebook post sparked an outrage. Observing the hurtful post, pro-Hindu activists in Gadag filed a police complaint demanding the arrest of the accused.

Based on the complaint, the police arrested the accused Tajuddin Dafedar. The accused, during interrogation, told police that he saw the post on Facebook and accidentally shared it. Further investigation is underway.

It is important to note that the arrest came on the day when Prime Minister Modi consecrated Ram Lalla at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya in the presence of the August gathering of over 7000 invitees. He led the rituals and celebrations of the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol in the temple. Following the Pran Pratishtha rituals, he addressed the sea of Ram Bhakts.
