‘Bhulakkar Saathi’: PM Modi narrates a story to troll Ashok Gehlot over reading old budget in the assembly

Two days after Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, who also holds the finance portfolio, read last year’s budget for several minutes while presenting this year’s budget, prime minister took the opportunity of his meeting in the state to taunt the Congress leader. Recalling an experience he had with a forgetful friend many years ago, PM Modi trolled Gehlot while addressing the gathering during the inauguration of the Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot stretch of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

While addressing the public meeting in Dausa, Rajasthan, PM Narendra Modi referred to the recent goof-up where CM Ashok Gehlot read old budget speech for several minutes in Rajasthan Assembly, before being corrected by his aides. The PM narrated a funny old story while taking a jab at the state’s CM.

He said, ‘”‘There is a widespread discussion on the most recent budget incident in Rajasthan. I’m reminded of a similar occurrence from around 40 years ago, when I wasn’t actively involved in politics. I was only a swayamsevak then. I used to visit other RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) families’ homes for meals. One day, one senior colleague came to meet me, and asked me to accompany him to a wedding at another swayamsevak’s residence.’

The PM further added, ‘”‘When we arrived there, we noticed that the house owner, who was a tailor, was working in his shop in front of the house. But entered the house, and greeted them. After some time, my friend asked him what happened to the wedding to which he was invited. However, the host replied that there is no wedding today, it actually took place year ago. My colleague said that he has the wedding card with him, and took it out. When I saw the card, I was astonished to notice that the marriage took place on the same day last year. We returned without eating.” PM Modi said that this happened because his friend used to forget things.

“A mistake can be made by anyone. But this also demonstrates that Congress lacks both vision and credibility. Budgets and announcements are essentially topics for writing to Congress. They don’t intend to carry out any of them in reality. What budget he read is not the issue. The fact that the previous year’s budget was held in a box rather than being implemented raises the actual question,” he asserted.

Prime Minister was in Rajasthan to inaugurate the first stretch of the ambitious Delhi-Mumbai expressway.

Addressing the crowd, Prime Minister Modi set the tone for the crucial elections that are going to be held in Rajasthan at the end of this year. “Wish you had a double-engine government here. Congress delays progress and development. They don’t work and don’t let anyone work,” he stated.

He announced, “Alwar, Bharatpur, Tonk, Bundi, and Kota will also benefit (from the expressway), in addition to Dausa. You can reach the big markets of Delhi, especially for agricultural produce. This will benefit farmers.”

“This is just a trailer. The film is yet to come. Rajasthan has given me love and blessings. I bow before it. Rajasthan is a land of brave people,” The Prime Minister continued by outlining his government’s priorities- electricity, water and homes for the poor.

Lok Sabha secretariate asks Rahul Gandhi to respond to breach of privilege motion notice over his comments on PM Modi

The Lok Sabha secretariat has asked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to respond to a breach of privilege notice over his remarks against PM Narendra Modi in the lower house. The Wayanad MP has been given time till Wednesday to respond to the notice after BJP MP Nishikant Dubey filed a complaint against him alleging a breach of parliamentary privilege.

The matter relates to Rahul Gandhi’s speech responding to the motion of thanks to the president’s address in Lok Sabha, where he had accused PM Modi of flouting rules to benefit industrialist Gautam Adani. Citing the controversial Hindenburg report on the Adani group, Rahul Gandhi alleged that rules were changed by the Modi govt, both when he was Gujarat’s CM and the PM, in several sectors to benefit Adani.

In his speech on 7 February, Rahul Gandhi further alleged the rise of the Adani group began after Narendra Modi became the Gujarat CM, and therefore crony capitalism was involved in the rise of the business group.

Several comments of Rahul Gandhi involving his allegations against the PM regarding the Adani group were expunged by the Lok Sabha speaker after Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi wrote the speaker saying that the “unparliamentary, dishonourable allegations” by Gandhi should be removed under Rule 380. Subsequently, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey filed a complaint against Rahul Gandhi with the speaker, requesting to move a breach of privilege motion against him.

Dubey said that the statements of Rahul Gandhi were “misleading, derogatory and indecent”. He has said that Rahul Gandhi misled the house by making allegations without evidence. He said that there is no documentary evidence of the allegations of crony capitalism made by Gandhi against Modi. Dubey wrote in the complaint sent to speaker Om Birla that Rahul Gandhi’s comments on the Modi-Adani connection were “unverified, incriminatory and defamatory”.

The BJP MP from Godda further said that Rahul Gandhi has not submitted any duly authenticated document for supporting his statements, therefore his comments amount to misleading the House in the absence of any documentary evidence.

“This conduct is in clear violation of privileges of House and its members besides being a clear case of contempt of the House. I request you to take immediate action against Rahul Gandhi for breach of privilege and contempt of House,” the letter by Dubey said.

The Adani group has rejected the allegations made by short-seller Hindenburg, calling its report a “malicious combination of selective misinformation and stale, baseless and discredited allegations that have been tested and rejected by India’s highest courts”.

It is notable that as per parliamentary rules when making any allegations against an individual in the house, the complainant must declare the identity and submit supporting evidence, documentary or otherwise to substantiate the allegation.

Haters of author JK Rowling give calls to boycott Harry Potter-themed game ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ but fail miserably

Hogwarts Legacy, a newly released game set in the Harry Potter Universe, has been topping the charts despite calls for a boycott by haters of British author JK Rowling.

The video game, which is available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, was shunned by the LGBT community for supposed ‘anti-Semtiic’ and ‘transphobic views’ of the author of the Harry Potter series. Although JK Rowling is not involved in the development of the game, the woke community has launched an attack on the game just because it is based on the fictional universe created by the author.

Following its debut on Friday (February 10), Hogwarts Legacy was the no.1 game on Steam and PlayStation Store. It also topped the charts in presales and the ‘coming soon’ category of the PlayStation store.

Published by Warner Bros. Games, Hogwarts Legacy had a score of 9.1 out of 10 on review aggregator Metacritic on Friday.

The controversy surrounding Hogwarts Legacy

Reportedly, a YouTube channel run by one Shelby and Matt, called “Girlfriend Reviews,” decided to try out the game live on Twitch. Despite their fans’ pleas for them not to play it, they went ahead with the live session.

However, the session was met with a barrage of insults from trolls, leading to Shelby being reduced to tears. The fact that the channel was raising money for the Trevor Project, which provides counselling for LGBTQ+ teenagers, did not seem to matter to their detractors.

Aja Romano, who made a 2020 BBC Radio documentary on the topic, stated that they are not interested in playing the game because any profits made from it would ultimately go to Rowling, despite her not being involved in the game’s concept or writing.

Actor Sebastian Croft, who voiced a character in the game, recently apologized for his involvement, stating that he was unaware of Rowling’s views at the time of casting.

Trans community up-in-arms against JK Rowling

While JKJ Rowling never made any comments against the LGBT Community, she has supported their rights, she is being attacked by the community, labelling her transphobic, just because saying that biological females are women.

Earlier in June 2020, JK Rowling attracted the wrath of the LGBT Community for stating that biological sex was real. The billionaire author had expressed her unhappiness over the fact that the headline of an opinion piece, published on a media portal, addressed women as ‘people who menstruate.

Despite her perfectly sensible opinion, abuses were hurled at her. She was labelled a Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist (TERF). TERFs reject the claim that ‘trans-women’, who are biologically men, are actually women.

In November 2021, she was doxxed by LGBT activists for not adhering to their socio-political concept of ‘gender identity.’

Watch: Jain Guru calls Arshad Madani’s remarks on Hinduism and other faiths ‘faltu ki baatein’

0

The president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind (Arshad faction), Maulana Syed Arshad Madani, sparked a debate on Sunday by declaring, “Om and Allah are one.” He was speaking at the 34th general session of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, at Ramlila Maidan, in Delhi. Other religious leaders were also on the platform at that moment, and they did not particularly agree with what Arshad Madani was claiming. Jain Guru Lokesh Muni and other religious figures left the stage in protest at his comments.

Before leaving the stage, Acharya Lokesh Muni expressed his displeasure and stated that every other religious person spoke of peace and love at the conference and they don’t share Madani’s sentiments. “We only agree with living in harmony and brotherhood, but all the stories regarding, Om, Allah and Manu are rubbish. The tales he weaved, I can narrate even better stories than that. You are like my father. I invite you to come to Delhi for a discussion with me, or even I can come to visit you in Saharanpur”, Acharya Lokesh Muni said.

The Jain Muni added, “It should be remembered that Mahavir was twenty-fourth Jain Tirthankar. There was Lord Parshvanath before him. Arishtanemi was Lord Krishna’s cousin. The foremost Jain Tirthankar was Rishabhanatha, and his sons were Bharata and Bahubali, on whose name this country ‘Bharat’ was named. You can’t erase this history. None of us agree with his statements. He completely spoiled the atmosphere of the session.”

He also talked to the media about the incident and registered his resentment over Madani’s comments.

Earlier in the day, Arshad Madani stated, “I asked great religious figures when there was no one, neither Shri Ram, nor Lord Shiv, nor Brahma, then whom did Manu worship? Some said, he used to worship Lord Shiv, but they are ignorant. Very few people told me that Manu used to pray to OM. I asked them, who is Om? They said that he is one without any form or color. He is everywhere, just like air. He created everything. I said, he is the one we call Allah. Persian people call him Khuda and the ones who speak English refer to him as God. It means that Manu, also known as Adam, worshipped one God, who is Om and our Allah.”

“it is only under the BJP government that we heard that 20 crore Muslims should revert to their home. By this, they meant conversion to Hinduism. These people don’t know anything about India’s history,” the senior Jamiat leader alleged.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena recalls all files pending for over a month at home ministry under Manish Sisodia

Invoking his powers under Rule 19(5) of the Transaction of Business of the GNCTD Rules (ToBR), 1993, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has ordered to recall from the Home Department all such files that are pending for more than a month at the level of the Minister (Home), i.e. Manish Sisodia, an official statement from LG Office said on Sunday.

The said Rule 19(5) of the ToBR, empowers the LG to recall files pending inordinately with Ministers / CM, in public interest. This rule forces the Government to send files to the LG, irrespective of whether they approved it or not, it said. Accusing the Delhi government led by Arvind Kejriwal, the Governor said that these files have been pending for years together due to “inaction” on part of the AAP Government.

“These files have been inexplicably pending for years together due to inaction on part of the AAP Government although all statutory requisite formalities, procedures, and permissions have been put in place, with regard to the removal of unauthorized religious structures erected by land grabbers after 2009, when the Supreme Court barred any further occupation by such structures and ordered for their removal,” the LG office said in a statement.

A body viz “Religious Committee” was formed in 2014 in pursuance of the SC judgment, to consider and recommend the removal of such unauthorized religious structures upon receipt of the request by the concerned land-owning agency.

The Committee is headed by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act (GNCTD) Home Secretary and comprises senior representatives from the Delhi Police and the land-owning agencies in Delhi.

“Despite the recommendations of the Religious Committee, to remove “unauthorized religious structures” that have held up several key developmental infrastructure projects in Delhi, the Home Department of the Delhi Government headed by Manish Sisodia has kept 78 such proposals from various agencies pending since May 2022, prompting Lt. Governor, VK Saxena to recall these files,” the LG office said.

It further said that the proposals for the removal of unauthorized religious structures pertain to the construction of the Delhi – Saharanpur Expressway, government residential flats under General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) at 0 locations pending since 2018, and the decongestion of 77 corridors.

“Decongestion of the 77 corridors, which is pending for almost 5 years since 2017 due to the inaction of the Delhi Government, is extremely critical for smooth traffic flow and mitigation of air pollution in the Capital. At the same time, the Delhi – Saharanpur Expressway, which is a part of the Delhi – Dehradun Expressway, is a time-bound project being monitored at the PMO level and has been pending since 2018,” it stated in the statement.

On December 16 in 2022, the Home Department even wrote to Manish Sisodia requesting him to approve and forward these cases to the LG, but the files are still pending, the LG claimed.

As per the note of the Home Department submitted to the LG, the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs had submitted a proposal for the removal of 53 unauthorized religious structures for the construction of the government residential flats under GPRA.

Out of this, the religious committee recommended the removal of 51 such structures. Similarly, the religious committee had received proposals for the removal of 20 unauthorized religious structures on the 77 corridors, out of which 15 were recommended for removal. Also, the religious committee recommended the removal of 09 out of the 23 unauthorized religious structures that were creating hurdles in the construction of the six-lane access-controlled Delhi – Saharanpur Expressway.

“Various other proposals have been recommended by the Religious Committee. These files have been submitted to the Hon’ble Minister (Home), GNCT of Delhi for further approval of the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Delhi…Hon’ble Minister (Home) has been requested on December 16 2022, to forward the cases to Hon’ble LG for approval of the recommendations of the Religious Committee. However, the cases are still pending,” the Home Department note read.

Tensions between China and Tibet rise again after US lawmakers table ‘Resolve Tibet Act’

0

The China-Tibet tiff has intensified again as the US lawmakers have tabled a Bill in the House of Representatives and the Senate to strengthen America’s policy for the peaceful resolution of their differences over Tibet, the Tibet Press reported.

According to Tibet Press, known as the Resolve Tibet Act, the Bill will make it official US policy that China must resume dialogue with the envoys of the Dalai Lama, as the conflict between Tibet and China remains unresolved and Tibet’s legal status is yet to be determined under international law.

The legislation’s timing is important as it was tabled during Penpa Tsering’s US visit. Tsering is the Sikyong (President) of the Central Tibetan Administration. He is visiting Washington to meet with US lawmakers, including the main sponsors of the legislation and Biden administration officials.

The Dalai Lama has in the past been accused by Beijing of indulging in “separatist” activities and trying to split Tibet. The Tibetan spiritual leader has, however, insisted that he is not seeking independence but “genuine autonomy for all Tibetans living in the three traditional provinces of Tibet” under the “Middle-Way approach”.

The Resolve Tibet Act offers new hope that the decades-long crisis in Tibet can come to a peaceful end, Tibet Press reported.

The suppression of Tibetans under China’s authoritarian regime continues as the monitoring is becoming heavy with every passing day in the region.

Due to political sensitivity in the region, Tibetans experience harsher consequences and more intense monitoring than citizens in other countries, Tibet Press reported.

As per several media reports, the Tibetans continue to be persecuted, molested, harassed, beaten and tortured in their own territory.

According to Radio Free Asia, a 30-year-old Tibetan elementary school teacher, who goes by the name of Palgon was detained at his house in August 2022 and has been out of contact ever since.

Palgon hails from the Qinghai province of China’s south-eastern Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. He had been an elementary school teacher in the Pema county of the prefecture, but he left his position and carried on as an independent author. China’s widespread crackdown on Tibetan individuals, including monks, writers, young activists, and others, over the past few months has now become a regular affair.

A Tibetan father and his three young children were transported to the Lhasa Beijing Middle School Quarantine Center after the man’s wife’s anti-COVID test came back negative, according to a report by Voice of America.

Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan slammed for disrespectfully pointing a finger at Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar

Samajwadi Party MP and veteran Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan, who often courts controversy for her angry outbursts and rude behaviour, has done it again due to her behaviour inside Rajya Sabha. On Sunday, February 12, a video of her angrily pointing a finger at Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar in the Rajya Sabha has gone viral on social media. The controversial footage was recorded during the ongoing Budget Session in Rajya Sabha on February 9.

In the widely shared video, Jaya Bachchan is seen pointing a finger at Honourable Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar as he asks her and other MPs to take their seats.

Rajani Patil, a Congress Rajya Sabha MP, was suspended for the remainder of the current Budget Session for filming the opposition created ruckus. Jaya Bachchan defended the Congress MP and claimed that she was not given the opportunity to clarify. “It was done, in my opinion, in a really demeaning manner. This shouldn’t have happened. They ought to have reported it to the committee if they thought something was done inappropriately. Don’t know if they sent it. She wasn’t given the chance to clarify, “said Jaya Bachchan.

Condemning the Samajwadi Party MP’s behaviour BJP leader Ajay Sehrawat tweeted, “Jaya Bachchan’s behaviour in the Rajya Sabha is Shameful.”

Kanchan Gupta, an advisor for the information and broadcasting ministry, tweeted that the video made him recall a time when the UPA was in power and Jaya Bachchan had made some offensive comments.

“Reminded of the occasion when Jaya Bachchan commented harshly on the Nehru clan. UPA was in power. Amitabh Bachchan rushed to apologise and issued a hand-wringing statement that ended with “वो राजा हैं, हम रंक हैं।” (They are rulers, we are commoners.),” Gupta tweeted.

Netizens slam Jaya Bachchan

Meanwhile, netizens have also slammed Jaya Bachchan’s behaviour in the parliament.

A Twitter user named Rosy wrote, “Jaya Bachchan again showing her arrogance & crossing all Maryada ki Rekha in Parliament.”

Another Twitter user named Mandodari took a dig at Jaya Bachchan’s habit of losing her cool at Bollywood fans who try to click her photos and tweeted, “but the speaker was not clicking her pics.”

One Aditya Nayak tweeted, “A classless, rude MP Jaya Bachchan. No matter how big a star Amitabh Bachchan is, I still feel bad for him.”

Notably, Jaya Bachchan was criticized last month when she lost her cool at fans and paparazzi when she arrived at the Indore airport with her husband, Amitabh Bachchan. “Aise logo ko naukri se nikal deni chahiye” (such people should be thrown out of their jobs), the actress-turned-politician said as she walked away after lambasting fans for clicking her.

Snakes are now slithering out of Thames, BBC is no holy cow

Under normal circumstances, one would not respond or react to an organization which matters little to people in my country and that is located thousands of miles away from us.

But these are not normal times. Because as a nation-state India is on the roll and we 1.4 billion Indians have become intolerant to bullshit. We no longer look up to white skin and in fact, like the rest of the non-western world, we despise white skin. They ruled the world for two centuries, subjugated people, and killed and tortured millions of Indians- you cannot forget the Bengal famine ever- at least we will not. It is time to take out millions of skeletons out of white man’s black cupboard.

Hold on- when you point one finger at someone three fingers point back at you. Let us first settle your three backwards-pointing white British fingers at Great (oh no more great) Britain. You need a rap on the knuckles too.

Bengal famine- A ghastly glimpse

BBC is putting its finger in the 2002 Gujarat Riots which have been long settled by our Supreme Court- so who the hell are you to poke your nosey nose in our affairs?

These riots were riots and very much spontaneous lasting a few days where 1,044 died. It was triggered by the Godhra train burning that occurred on the morning of 27 February 2002, in which 59 Hindu pilgrims returning from Ayodhya were killed in a fire inside the Sabarmati Express train near the Godhra railway station in the Indian state of Gujarat. The Gujarat riots were of course a backlash to this attack.

But the Bengal famine was the systematic strangulation of 3.8 million Indians over a period of months in 1942-43. Was it any short of the Concentration camps you cry so much about? No, I don’t think so. The pictures of starving Bengalis are as ghastly as Auschwitz concentration camp.

According to an Utsa Patnaik, economist John Maynard Keynes, who was an advisor on Indian Financial and Monetary Affairs for the British Government, advocated for “profit inflation” in order to finance war spending, which increased the price of rice and reduced food consumption of the general population. The rise in prices was “not disturbing” until 1941, when it became more alarming. Then in early 1943, the rate of inflation for food grains in particular took an unprecedented upward turn.

Nearly the full output of India’s cloth, wool, leather and silk industries were sold to the military under the British Raj. Suppliers were required to sell goods to the military on ‘credit’ and at fixed, low prices. However, firms were left free to charge any price they desired in their domestic market for whatever they had ‘left over’. The method of credit financing was tailored to UK wartime needs

Anticipating a Japanese invasion via the border of Bengal, the British launched a ‘pre-emptive’ preplanned, two-pronged scorched-earth initiative in Bengal to deny the invaders access to food supplies.

First, a “denial of rice” policy was carried out in areas with surpluses of rice. The second prong, a “boat denial” policy, was designed to deny Bengali transport to any invading Japanese army.

Army could confiscate any boat and allowed them to requisition other means of transport such as bicycles, bullock carts, and elephants. Army confiscated approximately 45,000 rural boats, severely disrupting river-borne movement of labor, supplies and food, and compromising the livelihoods of boatmen and fishermen.

Years before the most extreme stage of the famine, when newspapers began to publish images of the dying on the streets of Calcutta, ‘against the wishes of the colonial British administration’. The British had ample time to react. They did react but for their own benefit letting millions starve to death.

More recent studies, including those by the journalist Madhushree Mukerjee, have argued the famine was exacerbated by the decisions of Winston Churchill’s wartime cabinet in London which was warned repeatedly that the exhaustive use of Indian resources for the war effort could result in famine, but it opted to continue exporting rice from India to elsewhere in the empire.

All this in your national interest and to cover you’re royal behind.

Rice stocks continued to leave India even as London was denying urgent requests from India’s viceroy for more than 1 million tons of wheat supplies in 1942-43. Churchill has been quoted as blaming the famine on the Indians, saying that Indians were “breeding like rabbits”. He had also asked, if people die from starvation, how Mahatma Gandhi was still alive despite his numerous hunger strikes.

I urge our respected filmmakers in India to make a film ‘Churchill Files’ and release it in Royal Albert Hall in London.

A bit about BBC the holy cow

From its foundation in 1922 after the WW I, The British Broadcasting Corporation had advocated principles of truth and objectivity in reporting and of independence from governmental control. However, these principles were more of a dream than reality, something that had constantly to be negotiated with, and defended against the British Government.

The government justified its intervention in the BBC’s broadcasting on foreign affairs with the ‘national interest’ in mind. Over the years a close cooperation—or rather an ‘uneasy compromise’—evolved. Eventually, it became a medium of Whitehall’s transnational propaganda campaign.

Thereafter ‘A continuous routine contact that had built up over the years between senior personnel in Broadcasting House, Whitehall and Westminster meant that they all abided by the same rules and codes of conduct’. Although Whitehall closely supervised the BBC’s broadcasting on foreign affairs—and in particular the output of its foreign-language services—the BBC in public claimed that objectivity was its guiding principles.

Before Churchill, Chamberlain was the Prime Minister of England and he realized that Britain was militarily unprepared for war against Germany. Propaganda through BBC offered a small chance to avert war by winning over the German public.

For every action there has to be a motive

This is the most interesting part of the game white man plays. Brits consider them the custodians of the white race- the 24 carat pure whites.

With an upper stiff lip they have been used to looking down upon people across the world including other European whites. They cannot and will not accept the winds of change.

The United Kingdom has entered a recession in the third quarter of 2022, which could last until the end of 2023.

The Ukraine war has put further pressure on prices, particularly energy and food. UK prices are already squeezed by labor shortages, a slow post-pandemic recovery and the effects of Brexit.

They are a nation in crisis. Liz Truss the outgoing Prime Minister- who lasted for only 45 days in office and may not even have unpacked her stuff in ten Downing Street, had said that she had come into office at a time of significant international and economic instability, with families concerned about how they would pay their bills. She was elected with a mandate to fix the “low growth” that was holding the U.K. back, by lowering taxes and returning to high growth.

“I recognize though given this situation, I cannot deliver the mandate on which I was elected”.

Now they have a brown man in the PM’s chair to save their white skin. And of course, he will work things out for a freebee society. The welfare state is a big part of British family life, with 20.3 million families receiving some kind of benefit (64% of all families). Most are not fit to or willing to work and want to live a pub life on the government dole. Their earlier generations worked hard, schemed harder and created a hoard of wealth on which these guys are living- off the land.

They for Christ’s sake cannot see or digest that India which they ruled for two hundred years is doing so well and has become the fastest growing economy, lauded by IMF, World Bank and even the United Nations.

They also know they have put their big foot in their mouth by supporting Americano egged Ukraine war. UREA in short (Ukraine Russia, Europe and America). They also know that once this war is over- whenever- the huge cache of arms and unemployed mercenaries will look for an action-packed employment and what is more cosier and softer than Britain- if they can’t work, how will they fight- the breed of second World War is dead and gone. This time the English Channel will not save them as it did in 1940.

So how to play dog in the manger? The only way is to hit out at the leader of this great nation which has for the first time collectively woken up. And Brits are aware of this, in fact the whole world is aware of a changed stance.

So make as much noise in whatever way possible is the basic premise. Soft propaganda by their old, time-tested faithful dog BBC has to do it. Don’t forget guys in British Broadcasting Conglomerate are Brits too.

Let me put things in the correct perspective

As mentioned earlier, the Supreme Court has exonerated Shri Narendra Modi in the Gujrat Riots case when he was the Chief Minister. People across the world accept it so we don’t need any so-called truth from you please.

KPS Gill known as a super cop is one of the most respected police officers of the country. He was speaking at the launch of his biography- ‘KPS Gill: The Paramount Cop’ which was attended by eminent personalities like Indian Express editor-in-chief Shekhar Gupta, former CBI director PC Sharma and others.

In the book, Gill has lavished praise on Modi saying he had “sincere” intentions to end the violence and accused other parties of trying to defame him. “I realized that people of all political parties who were anti-Modi and anti-BJP were taking advantage of this mayhem and making all efforts to defame Modi one way or the other,” he says.

Speaking to reporters, he said that after taking charge as the security advisor of the state, he had visited all places where violence had taken place and policemen from top to bottom refuted having received any direction of the type being mentioned.

We trust Mr. Gill more than any white stooges.

So BBC your series has been banned for a reason, we cannot let a foreign agency malign our name.

Footnote

BBC is a repeat offender. In 1970 the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi banned BBC from India for nearly two years as they were showing India in bad light. Their Delhi office was locked up by the government. So nothing new for us.

Even if you tell a lie thousand times you will make no impact. You know uttered similar words?

BRS leader peddles fake news about Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, falsely claims 4 lanes have been reduced due to corruption

On Sunday (February 12), Bharat Rashtriya Samiti (BRS) leader Y Sathish Reddy stirred the hornet’s nest after he falsely claimed that the 10-lane Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway had been turned into 6 lanes.

He alleged that the reduction in lanes was done by the Centre government to receive a 40% commission (kickback) from the construction of the project. “So, 10-lane expressway turned into a 6-lane after removing 40% commission? #40PercentSarkar,” he claimed.

In another tweet, Y Sathish Reddy cast aspersions on the integrity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and alleged that the latter endorsed the so-called ‘40% commission’ scheme. The archive of his tweet can be accessed here.

Needless to say, the BRS leader did not furnish any evidence to back his claims of the supposed receipt of kickbacks. In a bid to mislead the people, he posted a picture of one portion of the expressway and claimed that it has ‘miraculously’ shrunk to 6 lanes from 10 lanes.

However, a drone view of the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway exposes the bluff of Y Sathish Reddy. As evident from pictures posted by ‘Droneman’ on Twitter, the Expressway consists of a 6-lane main carriageway and 4 lanes (2 on each side of the carriage) to cater to the needs of the villages.

The carriageway will be used to channelise the highway traffic. It is designed to reduce fuel consumption and reduce travel time between Bengaluru and Mysuru to 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Picture of the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, image via Twitter/ Droneman

By carefully not including Lanes 1,2, 9, and 10, the BRS leader attempted to give the impression that four lanes of the 10-lane expressway were not built to save money and receive a commission from the contractors.

It must be mentioned that Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari made it clear last month about the specific utility of the lanes. Despite being well aware of it, Y Sathish Reddy tried to score political brownies at the expense of the Union government.
