Neighbour Mansoor Khan forcibly circumcises 6-year-old Hindu boy, police books his 8-year-old child and manipulates victim family’s testimony: Read details

In the month of March this year, a 6-year-old Hindu boy was reportedly forcefully circumcised by his Muslim neighbour in the Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. According to a report by Swarajya, the victim’s parents had filed a complaint with the local police against his neighbour Mansoor Khan, who had forcibly circumcised the little boy with the intent of converting him into Islam.

As per the media report, the police had, however, filed an FIR against Mansoor Khan’s 8-year-old son under IPC section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt), instead of booking the accused Mansoor Khan. Paapun Bain, the 6-year-old victim’s father, had on March 30, submitted a letter to the Superintendent of Police of Jabalpur, accusing the police of inaction in the case.

Victim’s father Paapun Bain files a complaint with the Jabalpur police

According to Swarajya, the FIR filed by the victim’s father stated that the incident happened on the morning of March 22. According to the victim boy’s father Paapun Bain, he left for work close to his home at around 10 in the morning on March 22. Paras was still asleep then. His wife was getting ready to go to the bungalow to work. When he returned home, he discovered that his son was missing. He started looking for him. The child was found hiding behind the house. The child appeared terrified. He was reluctant to share anything despite his father’s repeated requests. He requested permission from his father to use the washroom. There, he showed Paapun his private part, which had cuts and was bleeding.

On being insisted again to share with his father what had caused the injury, the child told his father that Faizu had made the cuts with a blade. Paapun immediately took him to the police station where they were asked to go to the government hospital. He went to the hospital for treatment and, on his return, he learnt that the police had filed a case against the 8-year-old son of Mansoor Khan under IPC section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt but not his father and the prime accused Mansoor Khan.

After this, Paapun Bain on March 30, wrote to the Superintendent of Police of Jabalpur, complaining of inaction and hiding facts of the case.

Paapun Bain write to the SP of Jabalpur accusing the police of inaction

The letter written by Paapun Bain, accessed by Swarajya, stated that Mansoor Khan’s family resides in Paapun’s neighbourhood. On March 22, while he was at work close to his home, his wife hurriedly alerted him about the disappearance of their son. They discovered him behind the house after searching outside.

The boy was standing frozen and his pants were soaked in blood. When they took off his pants, they discovered that his underwear was where the blood was dripping from and not his legs. Paapun observed that a portion of the upper layer of the boy’s penis had been removed and there were cut marks all around it.

When asked, the boy said that the 8-year-old neighbour boy and his father Mansoor Khan had done that to him in the bathroom.

Paapun immediately rushed to confront Mansoor. He lambasted him for forcibly circumcising his son with the intent of converting him into Islam. Mansoor started abusing him with casteist slurs. He went on to threaten Paapun saying that he had done the ‘khatna’ (circumcision) and Paapun could do whatever he wished to.

Paapun hurried to the police station where the officers asked him to first take the 6-year-old to the nearby hospital. When he returned, the cops had already registered a case but had named only Mansoor’s 8-year-old boy as the accused. Despite Paapun’s repeated request, they did not name Mansoor Khan in the FIR. The statement in the FIR did not match the complaint narrated by Paapun and was manipulated.

The report reads that Paapun repeatedly told the police that Mansoor and his son had circumcised his child but the police turned a deaf ear.

Mansoor threatened Paapun saying he must take back his complaint or he would be driven out of Khamariya. He also threatened him with a similar repercussion.

What the victim’s mother told Swarajya

On June 23, a Swarajya reporter reached the Jabalpur home of the victim child and spoke to his mother who narrated the entire ordeal. Deepa confirmed that they belonged to the Basor caste, which is a scheduled caste.

She recalled that the incident had happened around Holi. On the day of the incident, her 6-year-old son was fast asleep while she was getting ready for work. Their neighbour Mansoor Khan’s 8-year-old son came to their house and said he wanted to play with the boy.

She confirmed that the 8-year-old is the only child of Mansoor who lived adjacent to their house. Mansoor’s wife worked at the same bungalow as a house help where Deepa worked.

Deepa further added that the 8-year-old took the victim to his house saying that they would play with each other. She recalled her son telling her that Mansoor’s son took him inside a room and locked it. Mansoor was present in the room. “The boy held him while Mansoor made the cut. That’s what our son told us,” Deepa told the Swarajya journalist.

Notably, the Swarajya journalist had on June 25, also shared the victim’s testimony on her official Twitter account.

Deepa then reportedly asked the victim to open his pant in front of the Swarajya journalist who confirmed that the cut was circular at the tip of his private part. Deepa was quoted as saying that “the circumcision was Mansoor’s idea and execution, but the police were protecting him.”

“How can an eight-year-old do khatna by himself? It was Mansoor who did it,” she told the media outlet.

Deepa then went on to narrate the hardships the family is having to face after the incident.

“After my husband gave a complaint against Mansoor at the police station, the company fired us from work and asked us to vacate the servant quarters,” she said, adding, “the wife of the manager told me she did not want the police to come to her house.” They were given the notice to vacate the servant quarters.

Deepa showed the Swarajya journalist the notice they received on March 24, from the head of Yard and Estate Office.

Victim family had received notice to vacate the servant quarters

The notice reportedly read that Deepa and her family ‘breached peace’ at the premises and hence were ordered to leave the quarter within a stipulated period of 15 days or else they would be forcefully removed.

Five days after the notice, the family were forced to shift to a rented place in the Bada Patthar area for a monthly rental of Rs 2000.

According to the report, the victim boy’s father Paapun Bain is a labourer who takes up jobs as per requirement. Sometimes he works as a painter, at other times as a construction labourer. At times, he also works as a house help. Deepa said that currently, Paapun is jobless.

Besides, because of the incident, the victim boy had to also change his school, lamented Deepa, adding that though they are poor they would not silently bear the insult and injustice to their child.

“We did not know anything about ‘Hindu-Muslim’. We never treated them differently. I considered Mansoor’s boy as my own child. But look what they have done to our son. We are Hindus and will remain so till our death. No one has the right to force their religion upon us,” rued Deepa.

When questioned if Mansoor or his family ever tried forcing her to accept Islam or told them about Islam before this incident, she said, “If he had tried doing so, why would we continue to live there?”

Deepa further said that Mansoor Khan’s wife told her that she was also Hindu before marriage and was converted to Islam after she married him. “Mansoor is a very religious person and never allowed his wife to follow her old religion. His wife told me that once, her mother gave her some pictures of Hindu deities but Mansoor threw them outside the house,” she said.

Deepa added that Mansoor’s wife told her that the couple was on the verge of separating from each other.

Victim’s mother speaks about the police’s apathy

“When the policemen at the Khamariya police station manipulated our complaint, we reached the SP office. After that, the behaviour of the [Town Inspector] has changed towards us,” she said. “He scolded my husband for going to the SP.”

The SP, as per Deepa, told her, “Kya hum bacche ko fansi laga de? [should we hang the child?]” The SP was referring to Mansoor’s son and dismissed her case.

Deepa, as per the Swarajya journalist added that no police officer is considering the role of Mansoor Khan, despite the child’s repeated testimony. She said that when they found no help, they called up the CM’s helpline. After making the call, the Town Inspector called them to the police station and said, “Now that you have tried reaching the CM, get justice from there only,” rued the helpless mother of the 6-year-old Hindu victim.

While speaking to the Swarajya journalist, the distressed mother urged help. “Please take our case to higher authorities,” Deepa bemoaned.

Deepa added that her family is extremely dissatisfied with the way the Khamariya police have handled their case. After a few volunteers from the Hindu Jagran Manch, especially one Yogesh Aggarwal, backed them, the issue received local attention, said Deepa.

The media outlet said it placed a number of calls to the Khamariya police station between June 25 to July 3, but no one picked up. The FIR also does not include the contact information of the case’s investigating officer, Shiv Kumar Dhurve. The other number, which this reporter found was of the control room. They too received the call once before ceasing to do so once they realised that the call was being made by a journalist, read the report by Swarajya.

Dr Nisar Khan and his son forcibly circumcise their Hindu servant in Madhya Pradesh

This is not the first such case of forced religious conversion that has come to the fore in Madhya Pradesh. Last year, a 31-year-old man had filed a complaint against 2 people for forcibly circumcising him with the intent of converting him into Islam.

In his complaint, the victim identified as Dashrath told the police that he worked under one Dr Nisar Khan, a resident of Malikheda, who along with his son circumcised him against his will. He was threatened and intimidated to embrace Islam and even forced to offer namaz, Dashrath had alleged in his complaint.

Karnataka: Communal violence erupts in Bagalkot over a Facebook post on Nupur Sharma, 4 Hindus injured, shops burned

Four Hindus were stabbed and many others were injured in the violence that erupted in the Kerur Taluka of the Bagalkot district in Karnataka on 6th July 2022 after Hindus tried to lodge a complaint against a woman doctor over her Facebook post against former Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Nupur Sharma and her remarks on Prophet Muhammad. However, Karnataka’s chief minister Basavraj Bommai has said that the incident happened due to personal issues.

According to a report by Free Press Journal, Lakshman Kattimani, Arun Kattimani, and Yamanur Chungin, all residents of Kerur town were stabbed in this incident. Another one named Bande Gokak survived a head injury. All of them are admitted to the hospital. All the injured are members of a local Hindu organization.

As the two groups battled, some of them set fire to many stores, two-wheelers, and fruit and vegetable stalls. The incident took place when one of the victims reportedly attempted to file a complaint against a female doctor for her Facebook post criticizing former BJP spokeswoman Nupur Sharma’s comments.

Deputy Commissioner Sunil Kumar said, “The CrPC Section 144 will be clamped for two days beginning from midnight of July 6. Schools and colleges have been ordered to be closed in Kerur town on Thursday. The situation is under control and police are probing the incident.”

The police have arrested 10 people in this case so far. Karnataka chief minister Basavraj Bommai said, “Kerur incident happened due to personal issues. Police have already controlled the situation & some arrests are done; injured are admitted to hospitals. We’ve given instructions to both communities to maintain peace. Our senior officials, DC are present on the spot.” The police are doing further investigations.

Over the last few weeks, there have been repeated incidents of violence in the country in connection with former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s allegedly insulting remarks against the Prophet Muhammad. In Udaipur, a Hindu tailor Kanhaiya Lal was beheaded by Islamists on June 28 for a social media post supporting Nupur Sharma. In a similar incident that took place in Amravati, a Hindu chemist Umesh Kolhe was beheaded by Islamists for supporting Nupur Sharma in one of her social media posts.

Mahua Moitra is guilty according to the ‘Nupur Sharma Law’, the jurisprudence of which was set by you, dear Liberals

Dear Liberals,

Here I am with another one of those “Dear liberals” articles. This time, I am addressing ‘real’ liberals, not the fake ones. I know this group is almost non-existent and is possibly extinct. But like Elvis and Yeti, we do sight them now and then.

Coming to the issue of Mahua Moitra and her supposedly offending remarks on Ma Kali, you guys have been defending her.

First, let me give you the bad news – don’t try to bring in “facts”, “context” and “intentions” into the debate. That train has left the station. In fact, YOU stood on the platform waving goodbye, you should know.

What do I mean? Let me put in more clear, direct language. By handing over the liberal platform to Stalinist rapists and mass murderers, Islamo fascists, jihadists, evangelist bigots and other rabid Hindu haters, and by becoming willing and often paid foot soldiers in their ongoing Pol Potist pogrom on Hindu faith, you folks have lost your moral and logical footing.

Now let us turn to your arguments.

In the US, there is a habit of naming laws after politicians and others that sponsored and spearheaded them. We have the Sarbanes-Oxley, Sherman’s antitrust law, and even one named after Muhammad Ali the boxer. Sometimes it is named after victims or others that suffered.

In India, by unanimous liberal consensus and official sanction from at least two respected Judges of our honourable Supreme Court, who have enormous powers to write new laws under Article 142 without involving the Parliament, we have just passed a new law – the Nupur Sharma Act.  I know it is not a gazette formally or is available in writing. But is a law nevertheless because you people have so much power more to enforce it than elected governments.

What does this Act say, in simple words? It says it doesn’t matter what the facts are or what the intention of the person was or even the context. What matters is, are people offended by it? If the answer is yes, it is a hate remark, it is offensive. And the person making it is responsible for every act of violence that follows.

And as India is a secular state, as you have reminded us many times, it is a law that applies to ALL Indians, not just observant Hindus.

If you think it is an unfair summary, just pick any random ‘liberal’ you like and see what they said about Nupur Sharma. And of course, our Hon Lordships’ remarks are available for all. This point is not even worth arguing about. Let us get to the real point.

And your own law, your own jurisprudence and precedent, Mahua is guilty as charged.

  • Please don’t try to tell us Mahua Moitra was simply responding to a question – because the context doesn’t matter.
  • Please don’t tell us people worship Ma Kali in many different ways – yes, we do know, and we respect that. We even respect those that worship Ravan or Mahisasura. After all, Hindu scriptures target these demons’ actions, not them. It praises their good deeds effusively and offers redemption once they repent. But the key word here, in case you missed that, is “worship”.  Not abuse. Go figure.
  • Please don’t argue that she was stating ‘facts’ – that hardly matters when the remark was anyway taken as offensive. Even quoting a well-respected and centuries-old scripture can be offensive depending on who is doing it. We learnt this from you.
  • Please don’t argue about “intentions”. Because they don’t matter too. In any case, who can reliably figure out what the intention was? It is inside your mind, and no one believes what you say about it. We go by your track record and that doesn’t look good.
  • Please don’t tell us Hinduism is tolerant, great etc.
    • Firstly, we know it is the usual boilerplate insincere compliment from brown-nosed serfs of fascist dynasties and rabid Hindu haters to justify and preface their subsequent anti-Hindu remarks. We all know, that when you say “I am Hindu” it is usually to abuse the faith or to say “ashamed”. Not for nothin’ else! You can’t even bring yourself to wish us for Diwali without lecturing us on pollution!
    • Secondly, you have yourself offered proof after proof that the tolerant approach doesn’t work and what works is what happened after Nupur. Because you have justified it, directly and on the sly. By abusing and victimizing the victims, all over again.
    • Finally, most of you are non-believers so you have no right to talk about Hinduism. That is offensive, in itself, by your own lofty standards by which you tell Hindus not to talk about other faiths.

Kapisch?

Now, let me give you a simple suggestion to reclaim the lost ground – and get back up the moral pedestals from which you love to lecture us. I am giving this free or charge because I know you won’t do it! Your cushy lifestyles are funded by hate and Hinduphobia which today is a growth industry. It is so lucrative, and competition is tough. To paraphrase one of you, Barnum, a licker is born every minute.

Nevertheless, here it is, take it and sleep over it: Just start being real liberals and stop being foot soldiers of the Polpotist left’s pogrom on Hinduism. Ruthlessly expel the pseudo-intellectual serfs of these mass murderers from your ranks. Do an award waapsi.

When you do that, maybe you will have a bit of sympathy for Nupur Sharma, who, thanks to your non-stop hate propaganda, is marked for life. Maybe, perhaps you have a better chance of convincing us Mahua was not really offending.

Until then, please focus on your real jobs – keeping dacoit dynastic boots clean.

Beleaguered UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson set to resign, Rishi Sunak favourite to become the next PM

After the resignations of dozens of ministers from his cabinet, it is understood that the under-fire UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has finally agreed to step down from his post. Johnson is expected to announce his resignation later today and the Conservative Party will elect a new leader before the party conference in October.

Indian-Origin politician Rishi Sunak, former Chancellor in Boris Johnson’s government, is currently the favourite to replace Boris Johnson at 10 Downing Street.

Earlier, Boris Johnson was stung by a series of resignations from his cabinet colleagues. Rishi Sunak resigned as the chancellor and Sajid Javid quit as Health Secretary on Tuesday night. This was followed by a flood of resignations from other ministers as Boris Johnson lost the support of his party.

Nadhim Zahawi, who was appointed to replace Rishi Sunak also asked the Prime Minister to quit, and new Education Secretary Michelle Donelan resigned after just 36 hours in the post.

Boris Johnson, who was already under pressure over his Covid parties, faced a full-blown rebellion over his appointment as Chris Pincher as the deputy chief whip of the party. The deputy chief whip had to step down after allegations that he groped two male colleagues at a London club in an inebriated state. Following this development, multiple sexual assault allegations surfaced against Pincher.

Boris Johnson appointed him as the deputy chief whip despite knowing about these allegations back in February. The party MPs said that they could no longer support a leader who lied blatantly while appointing Pincher. This initiated the flood of resignations from his government which is going to end up with Johnson leaving 10 Downing Street.

UP govt shuts down Dawat-e-Islami run school in Pilbhit after links with Udaipur killers emerge, hundreds of donation boxes removed

On July 6, the Uttar Pradesh government initiated action against schools operated by Dawat-e-Islami in Pilibhit after it was found to be allegedly linked to the murder of Hindu tailor Kanhaiya Lal from Udaipur by Islamists for alleged post supporting Nupur Sharma. The administration has shut down all schools run by Dawat-e-Islami in Pilibhit. Reports suggest that the Pilibhit administration was keeping a close eye on the organization Dawat-e-Islami in connection to the case.

Dawat-e-Islami is based in Karachi in Pakistan, and it has been found that the killers of Kanhaiya Lal has links with the group. It was found that the organisation was collecting funds using donation boxes places all over the city. Hundreds of donation boxes were placed at various shops in the city, which have been removed now. It is suspected that the money collected through this boxes were used for terror funding purposes.

Islamic leader and Pilibhit’s Kazi Maulana Jartaab Raza Khan has also opposed operations being run by Dawat-e-Islami in the district. In a statement, Khan said the organization collects donations using over 1,000 piggy banks that it has placed across districts. He added no one knows where the collected donations are being used and alleged it could be used against the country.

Superintendent of Police Dinesh P constituted a team and initiated search operations at the schools run by Dawat-e-Islami. During the investigation, the computers at the schools were checked by the police. The Police also found that the schools were being run without required permissions and documentation upon which the Block Education Officer issued orders to close down the school within three days.

Speaking to the media, SP Dinesh P said that the LIU team is investigating the case with a team of intelligence. So far nothing incriminating was found during the investigation but the administration and Police are on high alert in the matter.

The link between Kanhaiya Lal’s murder and Dawat-e-Islami

On June 28, a Hindu tailor named Kanhaiya Lal was brutally murdered by two Islamists who posed as his customers and went to his shop where he was killed. The killers alleged they murdered him over a social media post Kanhaiya had put up supporting BJP’s former spokesperson Nupur Sharma. Following their arrest, it was found that they were possibly linked to the Pakistan-based organization Dawat-e-Islami. The organization also has its presence in different locations in India including Pilibhit, and Uttar Pradesh.

Reportedly, one of the killers Ghous Mohammed had visited Dawat-e-Islami in Pakistan in 2014 on the invitation senior functionaries of the organisation. He had stayed in Karachi for over a month, during which period he received training there.

The other killer Riyaz Attari had also travelled abroad, and reportedly he was trying to infiltrate the BJP, including the minority cell of the party. He was trying to get close to BJP leaders and workers of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch. He had attempted to get close to BJP Minority Morcha members in attempts to target them.

How Dawat-e-Islami started in India

As per reports, a delegation of Ulema from Pakistan visited India in 1989. They initiated talks to open a branch of Dawat-e-Islami in India. The Organization has its headquarters in Delhi and Mumbai. Using Tablighi Jamaat as an example, it was decided by then-members of Dawat-e-Islami to start a similar organization in India. Every year, Dawat-e-Islami organizes an annual Ijtima (event) to join more people. A large number of people attend these events every year.

Thank you, Prime Minister Modi, my heart is full today. Namami Devi Narmade

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received blessings of hundreds of villagers from Kutch’s Rayan village today. The holy waters of River Narmada have reached from 734 kms afar. For 75 years after independence, there have been parts of India where drinking water is a luxury. Something, many of us take for granted.

PM Modi has been receiving criticism from his all quarters. His haters do it because they don’t like the things he is doing, his supporters are upset with him because they feel he is not doing enough, that there could be so much more he could have done. Some of this is unfair and some is fair. After all, that is how healthy democracy is, holding the elected representative accountable. But, despite all this, one thing is for sure, the man has his heart in the right place.

Hear those Bharat Mata Ki Jai chant?

Villagers are welcoming Maa Narmada post midnight by firecrackers.

Young, old – all have come to welcome the waters of Narmada. See how everyone is cheering, their eyes welling up? For them, the river is the Goddess, the mother one prays to.

“We are welcoming the goddess”, a man can be heard saying in Gujarati in the video above. “We are farmers, we will of course be happy to see the Narmada waters reach us,” another person says. “Wah, sarkar, wah Modi,” he says.

The Narmada waters have travelled almost 750 kms from the Sardar Sarovar Dam to reach this far off village in Kutch.

This was dream of Narendra Modi when he was the chief minister of Gujarat. Imagine seeing a project of this magnitude being realised in your lifetime. Something you had to fight so hard for because you faced opposition from neighbouring state governments ruled by Congress, central government ruled by Congress-led UPA and then Congress-friendly ‘activists’ who seem to have sole purpose of stalling any infrastructure development project for years, just because.

As the then chief minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi launched the Saurashtra Narmada Avtaran Irrigation (SAUNI) Yojana in September 2012. SAUNI word in Gujarati means “everyone’s”. Through SAUNI Yojana, 115 dams in the arid Saurashtra region will be filled by diverting flood waters which overflow from the Sardar Sarovar dam in South Gujarat, a couple of kilometres away.

A spider pipeline network of 1,125 km long was involved. SAUNI Yojana will provide benefit of Narmada water to 737 villages of 11 districts and 31 cities in the Kutch-Saurashra region.

Imagine keeping all these people, animals in drought-prone area deprived of water, just because you don’t like one man, Narendra Modi.

In September 2019, PM Modi celebrated his birthday at Kevadia in Narmada district in Gujarat. On September 15 that year, the reservoir dam reached full reservoir level (FRL) of 138.68 metres for the first time ever. This was significant and a proud day for Gujaratis. In June 2014, a month after Prime Minister Modi swore in, the final approval came which breathed a new life in the project that UPA sat on for years. In May 2017, Narmada waters reached the parched Kutch.

At last in June 2017, the project whose foundation was laid in 1961 by then Prime Minister Nehru, was inaugurated by now Prime Minister Narendra Modi. When people of Rajkot received Narmada water they were overjoyed.

I have extended family in Bharuch, Gujarat. My grandmother was born and brought up there. I have grown up hearing stories how she saw the Dandi March led by MK Gandhi pass by. “My brother used to swim across the river,” she would say about the Narmada. She taught me Narmadashtakam, a composition by Adi Shankaracharya offering salutations to Goddess Narmada. Whenever we would visit Bharuch, my father and grandmother will bow down to the Narmada while crossing the Golden Bridge and recite ‘Namami Devi Narmade’ which connects Ankleshwar to Bharuch.

The foundation stone of the project was laid back in back in 1961 by the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Ever since then it has been marred by protests by activists like Narmada Bachao Aandolan founder Medha Patkar, who have claimed that the dam’s water might displace about 40,000 families as their homes would be submerged. They have claimed that the rehabilitation process of these families is still not complete and that the water supply in the dam be stopped until its done.

In 2017, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the much publicised 138-metre Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada river at Dabhoi, Gujarat. It was a landmark of sorts considering the amount of delays the project had experienced owing to protests by various activists. This increase in height from 121.92 metre to 138.68 metre has quadrupled the dam’s storage capacity led  to 4.73 million acre feet.

PM Modi, while inaugurating the project had said that when the World Bank (which had earlier agreed to fund the project), refused to give loan citing environmental concerns, the temples of Gujarat organised funds for the dam. He also added that no other project in the world had so many hurdles.

As the Narmada waters reach further in Kutch and farmers of Gujarat welcome Maa Narmada, my heart is full. I have tears in my eyes even as I sit far away in Delhi-NCR, away from home.

Maharashtra: Another massive jolt to Uddhav Thackeray, 66 out of 67 Shiv Sena corporators in the Thane municipal corporation join Eknath Shinde camp

66 Shiv Sena corporators in the Thane Municipal Corporation switched sides on 7th July 2022 and joined the Eknath Shinde camp, handing Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray another embarrassing loss. Thane is the hometown of Eknath Shinde and he has a strong hold on the local bodies in the district including Zilla Parishad (ZP), Panchayat Samiti, municipalities, and municipal corporations.

On Wednesday night, the 66 rebel corporators met with new Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at his home. Uddhav Thackeray effectively lost control of the Thane Municipal Corporation as 66 of the 67 Shiv Sena corporators have defected. Former mayor of Thane Naresh Mhaske led the corporators who have sided with Eknath Shinde in this internal Shiv Sena tussle.

After the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the Thane Municipal Corporation is the most important civic body in Maharashtra. Civic body polls in Maharashtra are soon going to be announced. A large number of corporators leaving the party at this time is seen as a big blow to Uddhav Thackeray considering the upcoming elections of municipal corporations, municipalities, and Zila Parishads in the state.

On June 29, Maharashtra’s three-party Maha Vikas Aghadi government crumbled after Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray resigned as chief minister in response to a coup in his party led by senior politician Eknath Shinde. On June 30, Eknath Shinde was sworn in as the new chief minister of the state. He was supported by 40 Shiv Sena MLAs and 10 independents. BJP with its 106 MLAs joined him in a coalition to form the new government. The former chief minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the deputy chief minister.

Maharashtra’s political problem, however, appears to be anything but resolved. Both the Shinde camp and Uddhav Thackeray supporters contend that their separate groups represent the original Shiv Sena, and they are in conflict over the party’s “bow and arrow” symbol. Gulabrao Patil, a rebel Shiv Sena MLA, asserted that 12 of the party’s 18 MPs and 20 other ex-MLAs will soon join the Shinde camp as well.

Mohammed Zubair’s counsel Colin Gonsalves, having links with George Soros’ NGO, moves SC to seek bail for Alt News co-founder, claims his life is under threat

Arrested for his Hinduphobic tweets and facing further charges of insulting Hindu seers and FCRA irregularities, Alt-News co-founder Mohammed Zubair has approached the Supreme Court for bail and quashing the FIR registered against him at Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh. Zubair’s counsel Colin Gonsalves urged the court to grant an urgent hearing in the case claiming that Zubair faces death threats and there is real concern about his safety.

Zubair was arrested on June 17 by Delhi Police in a case related to an inflammatory Tweet he had posted in 2018 against a Hindu God. On June 1, the Uttar Pradesh police filed another FIR against the Alt-News co-founder for using derogatory language against Hindu seers. On June 13, the Allahabad High Court dismissed a writ petition filed by Alt News co-founder Mohammad Zubair challenging the FIR filed against him on June 1. Zubair’s lawyer Colin Gonsalves on Thursday approached the apex court seeking bail in the case filed against him by the UP police on June 1 and challenging the Allahabad HC’s order refusing to quash the FIR lodged against him by UP police.

The Supreme Court bench of Justices Indira Banerjee and J K Maheshwari agreed to list Zubair’s plea for hearing on Friday, July 8.

Who is Colin Gonsalves who is representing Alt News co-founder in SC

Interestingly, Colin Gonsalves is the founder of the Human Rights Law Network (HRLN) which operates under the aegis of the Socio-Legal Information Centre. It has received funds from George Soros’s NGO in the past. Some of the efforts HRLN has been involved in include the campaign against ISKCON’s Akshaya Patra, a campaign against Indian sedition laws, and it has been providing free legal aid to Rohingya Muslims in India. It has also been engaged in activism for the implementation of the RTE Act that works against Hindu-run institutions.

Furthermore, HRLN is also linked to a plethora of organizations across the country that seeks to undermine India’s territorial integrity. Members of the Right to Food Campaign (RFC), an organization HRLN is linked to, were also involved in the protest against then CJI Ranjan Gogoi that sought to undermine the legitimacy of the Indian Judiciary.

Allahabad HC refuses to quash UP Police FIR against Mohammed Zubair for his derogatory remarks against Hindu seers

On June 13, the Allahabad High Court dismissed a writ petition filed by Mohammed Zubair challenging the FIR filed against him on June 1 for using derogatory language against Mahant Bajrang Muni Udasin, Rashtriya Sanrakshak of Rashtriya Hindu Sher Sena along with Yati Narsinghanand and Swami Anand Swaroop.

While refusing to quash the FIR filed against him, the Allahabad HC Bench of Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Ajai Kumar Srivastava opined that the writ petition filed by Mohammed Zubair “lacks merit”. It also said that the prima facie records suggest that there is enough ground for investigation in the case. Hence the court dismissed Zubair’s writ petition.

Khairabad Police of Sitapur district in Uttar Pradesh had filed a First Investigation Report (FIR) against Zubair for using derogatory language against the Hindu seers. The FIR was registered based on the complaint of Bhagwan Sharan, district head of Rashtriya Hindu Sher Sena, under sections 295(A) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Meanwhile, seeking bail for Mohammed Zubair, his counsel Colin Gonsalves, said, “A look at the FIR will show that no crime has been made out. There is a death threat to him, I am worried for him.”

Gujarat: Read how 10 pass Vadodara man Selvin Paul Parmar trapped and lured Hindu girl to marry and inflicted torture on her, forced her to eat non-veg food

A 23-year-old Hindu girl from a wealthy family from allegedly Chhani in Vadodara was lured into a trap by Christian man Selvin Paul Parmar who went on to marry the girl. Selvin Paul Parmar later threatened to make the videos of private moments viral by emotionally blackmailing the girl. He allegedly also forced her to cut herself with blade. The matter became so serious that in the end, the Prime Minister’s Office had to intervene as per reports.

In Vadodara, Selvin Parmar, a 10-pass Christian youth who lived in a society near Chhani Canal, allegedly entrapped the daughter of a wealthy Hindu family of the same area by saying that he owned property worth Rs 250 crore and owned a factory, sand leases, petrol pumps, etc. In 2019, after a 2-year-long love affair, the Christian youth took the girl away to Anand and had a court marriage with her there.

During this period, he secretly took photos and videos of his private moments with the girl and started to blackmail her. When the girl’s family members checked her mobile, they found her chatting with this man. In this chat, the man had allegedly had asked her to make 40 to 45 cuts on her body with a blade in a minute and asked her to send the photographs to him through social media.

In medical examination, more than 500 blade wounds were found all over the girl’s body and the girl always wore clothes that covered her entire body to hide those cuts. In the end, she was so tired of Selvin Paul Parmar’s threats that she even made up her mind to commit suicide.

After the marriage, the girl was lured by Selvin’s father Paul Parmar, and forced to stay in her in-laws’ house. After some time, her husband Selvin, her sister-in-law Shweta and Selvin’s father Paul Parmar started torturing the girl physically and mentally and the girl was kept locked in the house. The girl was also forced to eat non-veg food against her wishes.

The girl was brought home after the family came to know that she was being beaten up every day. After knowing the fact, the girl’s father lodged a complaint with the Chhani police station in this regard. Police registered a case against Selvin Paul Parmar, Shweta Paul Parmar, and Paul Parmar and detained Christian youth Selvin Parmar.

Registering a complaint in the SHE team was a bad experience for the girl’s family

Unable to see the condition of his daughter, her father contacted the SHE team of the police in August 2021. However, the girl’s father alleged that the SHE team police official one Noel Solanki ignored their pleas and would demand bribe from her family.

In September 2021, the girl’s father lodged a complaint against Noel and Selvin at the Chhani police station alleging that the girl’s family doubted their functioning as they belonged to the same faith. With this, the girl’s father also filed petitions with the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for justice in the matter.

After a proper investigation into the matter following an order from the Prime Minister’s Office, policeman Noel Solanki and constable Sanjay Kumar, who had gone to the complainant’s bungalow that night in a SHE team car with the sole intention of sabotaging even if they were not part of the SHE team, were both suspended on June 22, 2022, after the allegations against them turned out to be true.

Currently, the family has sent the daughter to the USA for higher studies. They are so shocked by the incident that they no longer want to bring their daughter back to India. They want their daughter to live her life ahead peacefully in America.
