Jharkhand: CBI registers FIR in police officer Rupa Tirkey death case on the orders of High Court

0

The Crime Branch of the Patna unit of the CBI will investigate the suspected death of a tribal police officer of Jharkhand Sub Inspector Rupa Tirkey as the agency has registered a case in this regard on the basis of the order of the single bench of Jharkhand High Court Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi.

Sources in the agency told the OpIndia that P. Gairola, DSP Crime Branch of CBI, will lead the investigation. The CBI team already reached Sahebganj today morning and the team will further visit Ranchi to carry out the investigation. This includes a rerun of the alleged suicide of the officer by hanging at her official quarter under Borio police station of Sahebganj district. As per the police FIR, the lady officer who was posted at Mahila police station of Sahebganj district had committed suicide by hanging on the intervening night of May 2 and 3. The CBI will also examine evidence collected from the crime site.

Jharkhand Police concluded it as a case of suicide and later on converted it as a regular case under section 306 (Abetment of Suicide). The police booked her colleague sub-inspector S.K. Kanaujia and her father Devendra Oraon for abetment of suicide. But the charge sheet was filed only against Kanaujia.

The single bench of Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi of Jharkhand High court had ordered the CBI to investigate while hearing a Criminal Writ Petition 139/2021 filed by Devendra Oraon, father of the deceased who had demanded CBI probe stating that Jharkhand Police and government will derail the investigate as some powerful persons of the Hemant Soren government are involved in the death of his daughter. The family alleged involvement of Pankaj Kumar Mishra and Dahu Yadav. Mishra is a close associate and assembly constituency representative of Jharkhand Chief Minister and Yadav, a local muscleman of Sahebganj district, is close to Mishra.

The suspicious death of this tribal officer coupled with Jharkhand Police messing-up investigation and state government making desperate moves to stop the case to go to CBI shocked common people and civil rights groups.

In the 53 page order, the High Court has mentioned around a dozen concrete reasons for handing this case to the CBI. For instance, the court in the order mentions that after the death was reported Mishra, senior police and district officials were regularly talking to each other. The court further mentioned, “it has been disclosed that one person has approached the family members of Late Rupa Tirkey to provide them a Petrol Pump and forget the case of their daughter.”

The court further noted, “the parents have been offered Petrol Pump by one of the leader of the political party. It is surprising that if it was a case of suicide what was the occasion of offering such things to the parents of the deceased. These all are the questions which raised eyebrow on the role of police as it is alleged that high ups of the State are involved.”

Dhanbad judge death case: CBI lodges two more FIRs, video of his ‘road accident’ had raised questions

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), investigating the alleged murder of Uttam Anand; Additional District and Sessions Judge of Dhanbad has lodged two fresh FIRs.

Jharkhand Police had filed two cases to investigate the theft of the autorickshaw and three mobile phones linked with the suspicious death of the judge. The central investigation agency has taken over investigation of the both cases from Jharkhand Police as both the cases appear to be closely connected with the judge murder case where two persons were arrested. The CBI has even conducted their narco test to go to the bottom of the truth.

Besides, the agency has also doubled the cash reward from Rs five 5 to Rs 10 lakh for anybody furnishing worthwhile information relating to this murder case. So far, the CBI could not make any major breakthrough in this case. The bench of Chief Justice of Jharkhand High court Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan has been monitoring the investigation.

Now, the 20-members Special Task Force of Special Crime Unit II of the CBI; headed by CBI ASP Vijay Kumar Shukla has three cases to investigate.

The first and the main FIR (RC 04/2021) was lodged on August 4 while two other FIRs were lodged on the date of September 7 related to theft of an auto rickshaw and house breaking. Both were lodged in Dhanbad.

Notably, the judge was grievously injured by a speeding auto rickshaw in Dhanbad on the morning of July 28 when he was on way to his residence after morning walk. Later on, the police traced auto rickshaw and arrested Lakhan Verma and Rahul Verma who were driving it. Both claimed that they were drunken when they mistakenly hit the judge and fled away.

Further investigation revealed that the auto rikshaw (JH 10R 0461) used in the crime was stolen by the accused. Its owner Sugani Devi, a native of Bhouri Khatal in Dhanbad had lodged an FIR at Pathrdih police station of district a day after the judge died.

But, it sounded unusual to the agency that the auto rickshaw was actually stolen on the intervening night of July 17 and the FIR was lodged on July 29. Later on, Dhanbad SSP Sanjeev Kumar suspended officer in-charge of Pathrdih police station Umesh Manjhi for delay in lodging the FIR. There is a huge mismatch in the police FIR and the written complaint. The FIR report mentions that the auto was stolen on the intervening night of July 17 whereas in the written complaint the date of theft is mentioned as July 27.

This was not a simple case of theft as investigation revealed Ramdev Lohara, husband of Sugani Devi; had hatched conspiracy along with Lakhan Verma and Rahul Verma to misplace the auto to claim the insurance.

The second FIR was lodged by Purnendu Vishwakarma from Dhanbad against accused Rahul Kumar Verma on August 13. The complainant said that on the night of July 28, three mobile phones fitted with SIM cards were stolen from his house by unknown persons. Vishwakarma in the FIR said that since his mobile phones were not costly, he was preoccupied with works he could not inform the police on time. A week later he just lodged a missing report which was not an FIR. Vishwakarma said he decided to lodge FIR when later on police informed him that mobile phone has been recovered.

What is unusual in both the cases is the timing of the crime and the time by which FIRs were lodged where accused are allegedly involved in hitting the judge also. So far that auto rickshaw is the main murder weapon.

The death of judge left the judiciary and Bar across the country stunned when the CCTV footage of the accident became viral. Jharkhand Police started investigation on the basis of the written complaint of Kirti Sinha, widow of the deceased The Supreme Court too hearing the larger issues of safety and security of the judges. The Supreme Court initiated hearing titled In Re: Safeguarding courts and protecting judges (death of Additional Sessions Judge, Dhanbad). The Supreme Court expressed concern over threat faced by judicial officials.

‘Even prostitutes have opinions’: IUML dissolves women wing after they refused to retract sexual harassment complaint, were called ‘infertile’

The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), the Congress party’s ally in Kerala, has on Wednesday, September 8, disbanded the state committee of Haritha- the women’s wing of the Muslim Students Federation (MSF), over ‘gross indiscipline. The decision came after the women members refused to withdraw their sexual harassment complaint filed with the Kerala Women’s Commission against some of the male MSF leaders, who allegedly used derogatory remarks against them.

Muslim League state general secretary PMA Salam announced the decision during the party’s high power committee meeting in Malappuram, saying the Haritha leaders’ “gross indiscipline” had prompted the party leadership to dissolve Haritha’s current committee.

The women members of Haritha have, in turn, threatened to move the court after the parent organisation Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), hurriedly dissolved the state committee after it refused to take back its complaint against their male counterparts.

Ten members of the state committee of Haritha-MSF filed a complaint with the State Women’s Commission against a couple of their male counterparts in the MSF for allegedly using derogatory remarks and abusive language during a Haritha-MSF state committee meeting held in Kozhikode on June 22.

According to allegations levelled by the Haritha leaders, MSF leaders referred to them as “infertile feminists.” When the Haritha leaders had during a Haritha-MSF state committee meeting expressed their opinions, PK Navas allegedly responded by saying that “even prostitutes” have opinions, and that the Haritha wing leaders may thus speak theirs as well.

Haritha had approached the commission after there was no response from the League leadership on the issue.

Following the Muslim League’s intervention, MSF state president PK Navas, who is accused of making derogatory statements against women members, though expressed remorse for the event but maintained his assertion that he did not say anything with the wrong intention.

The League had then ordered the Haritha to withdraw its complaint to the women’s commission at the time.

Though the Muslim League leadership had given the Haritha leaders an ultimatum to withdraw their petition before the SWC, the women remained steadfast in their complaint against the male leaders.

In a news conference in mid-August, Haritha-MSF leader and MSF National Vice President Fathima Tahliya had asserted that the humiliation and emotional pain caused by the disparaging remarks prompted Haritha’s 10 state committee leaders to take action against MSF’s male office-bearers.

Last month, the IUML put restrictions on MSF-state Haritha’s committee, accusing its leaders of making internal divisions public.

Watch: In a first, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Rajnath Singh, IAF chief land in a C-130J Super Hercules on a highway in Rajasthan

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari on Thursday inaugurated an Emergency Landing Field (ELF) on National Highway-925 at Gandhav Bhakasar Section at Barmer, in Rajasthan.

According to an official statement, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has developed a 3-km stretch as an Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) for the Indian Air Force which is just 40 km off the Pakistan border.

Visuals of the inauguration commencing with Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari and Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria landing at the strip in a C-130J Super Hercules transport aircraft have surfaced.

BJP leader Laxmikant Bhardwaj took to Twitter to share a heartwarming video of young children witnessing the historic landing and waving at the aircraft as it lands.

Visual of a Sukhoi Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft landing at the National Highway as part of the EFL demonstration has also surfaced.

The dignitaries are currently attending an event at Jalore to celebrate the historic feat.

As per the Indian Air Force, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat was also present to witness the landing demonstration at the National Highway EFL.

The demonstration will also see Jaguars and Su-30 MKIs landing and taking off from the strip.

Several fighter jets had landed on the strip on Wednesday in plausibly a trial just ahead of the inauguration.

About the Emergency Field Landing (EFL)

The 3-km emergency landing strip has been constructed as part of the two-lane paved shoulder of Gagariya-Bakhasar and Satta-Gandhav under the ambitious Bharatmala Pariyojana.

As per an official statement, the project will not just increase the connectivity between the villages of Barmer and Jalore district but also enhance the vigilance of the Indian Army on the western border.

In a bid to strengthen the security network, 3 helipads (size 100 x 30 metres each) have been constructed in Kundanpura, Singhania and Bakhasar villages under this project as per the requirements of the defence forces.

The construction of ELF had commenced in July 2019 and was completed successfully in January 2021.

China pledges 31 million USD aid for Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, Taliban had called China its ‘most important partner’

0

China on Wednesday declared that it will provide 200 million yuan (US$31 million) worth of aid to the Taliban-led Afghanistan. The aid will reportedly also include grains, winter supplies and coronavirus vaccines to the famished country with a threat of an economic collapse looming over it.

The decision was announced just a day after the Taliban announced the ministries and ministers of its ‘new Sharia abiding government’. State councillor and foreign minister Wang Yi in a virtual meeting with counterparts and senior diplomats from Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan stated the same.

“China has decided to urgently provide 200 million yuan ($30.96 million) worth of grains, winter supplies, vaccines, and medicines to Afghanistan according to the needs of the Afghan people,” reported Xinhua, the state-run press agency of the People’s Republic of China. Xinhua had also shared that China foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin has welcomed the Taliban’s announcement of a government.

Wenbin has stated that China sees the Taliban’s announcement of government as important because it ended over 3 weeks of anarchy and uncertainty in the country.

In the first batch of aid, China will be sending across 3 million vaccine doses and has also pledged to provide more anti-epidemic and emergency medical material.

China slams US for abandoning its responsibilities

Wang Yi further said, “No country is more unwilling than we are to see Afghanistan return to war or disaster, and no country is more eager than we are to see it return to peace and development,” claiming to have witnessed the disastrous aftermath of the war as a neighbour.

He even attacked the US for not just fleeing from its military role but also abandoning its responsibilities towards the nation. “They have more of a duty to supply economic, livelihood and humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people than any other country,” he said urging other countries especially the neighbours to come forward to seize the ‘key opportunity’ to exert a positive role.

China advises Taliban to cut ties with extremist terrorist forces

Beijing’s desperation to establish key communication and play a vital role in Afghanistan’s development is understandable.

While the withdrawal of the US from Afghanistan has given China the opportunity to show its political and economic prowess, the porous borders and notorious Uygur militants of the East Turkistan Islamic Movement (ETIM) at the Afghanistan border has made Beijing uneasy.

“No country expects peace and development in Afghanistan more than we do,” said Wang Yi in the meeting.

“All parties should strengthen intelligence sharing and border control cooperation to catch and eliminate terrorist groups that have sneaked in from Afghanistan,” said Yi further in a bid to encourage stability in the region.

The Taliban too had declared China as its ‘crucial partner.’ The Jihadi organization had recently expressed willingness to join China’s ambitious ‘Belt and Road’ project.

A Taliban delegation headed by its senior leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar had also held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang in July.

How BBC went from spreading fake news to allying with and shielding terrorist ministers of Taliban: Here is why

The Afghanistan crisis has unmasked many “liberals” and “liberal heroes” that the world hailed as the harbingers of truth, compassion, accurate reportage and the upholders of human rights. Besides the USA, several heroes fell, revealing just how easy it was for the Islamic world to crush the so-called ‘civilised nations’ under the weight of political correctness. The USA, for its part, fell from the lofty image it created for itself. After 20 years of being an occupying force for its ‘war against terror’ post the 9/11 attack, they left Afghanistan with their head hanging, lying about ‘achieving their goals’ and whining about a terror organisation not letting their flights leave the airport. The most ‘powerful nation’ in the world was reduced to one that was begging and pleading in front of the very terror organisation it fought for 20 years.

Another liberal hero that fell from the image it had built for itself was the British Broadcasting Corporation. One recalls the liberal wails after BBC had published their fake ‘fake news’ research that declared that nationalists in India ‘spread fake news’. One recalls how the reportage by this portal had forced them to change their conclusion, which was not founded in reality, to begin with. And one recalls how the ‘liberal’ establishment in India had jumped to their defence.

BBC, though, has come a long way. From spreading fake news to allying with terrorists and indulging in a whitewashing expedition to ensure that the world not only legitimises the Taliban but also news terrorists favourably. On the 8th of September, BBC wrote a detailed profile on the cabinet ministers that were selected by the Taliban to lead the nation. 17 out of the 33 cabinet ministers were terrorists.

The BBC had conveniently left out this detail from their profile. They simply forgot to mention that they were on the US terror watch list. In fact, they did not even mention Pakistan or the ISI once in their profile.

It was announced earlier that the Afghan government would be headed by Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund. Hassan is a radical Islamist who was in a leadership position in the terror group’s council in recent years and who also served as the deputy prime minister of the first Taliban government. Hassan is also on the blacklist of the United Nations for participating in terrorist activities.

Perhaps, the most eyebrow-raising appointment made by the Taliban was that of Sirajuddin Haqqani, the new acting interior minister, who heads the terror group known as Haqqani Network and is on the FBI’s most-wanted list. The terror group is said to have close ties with the Taliban, which the appointment of Haqqani had confirmed. They have been behind some of the deadliest attacks in the country’s two-decade-long war – including a truck bomb explosion in Kabul in 2017 that killed more than 150 people.

Unlike the wider Taliban, the Haqqani network has been designated a foreign terrorist organisation by the US. It also maintains close ties to al-Qaeda.

As per the FBI website, “Sirajuddin Haqqani is wanted for questioning in connection with the January 2008 attack on a hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan, that killed six people, including an American citizen. He is believed to have coordinated and participated in cross-border attacks against the United States and coalition forces in Afghanistan. Haqqani also allegedly was involved in the planning of the assassination attempt on Afghan President Hamid Karzai in 2008.”

Besides, the Taliban cabinet also includes four members who were held at the Guantanamo Bay, the American detainment camp, for 13 years before being exchanged in 2014 for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, an American soldier kidnapped by the Taliban.

The BBC, while profiling the “leaders” deliberately left out details of how these cabinet ‘ministers’ are on the terror watch list and some served sentences in Guantanamo bay. Further, they glossed over the role of Pakistan with the Taliban and the Haqqani Network completely. It is worthy to be mentioned here that in 2001 when the Taliban had fallen, the Talibs had reassembled in Pakistan to come back with a vengeance. The Quetta Shura, a terror organisation functioning from Baluchistan had sheltered the Talibanis and given renewed strength to the Taliban.

Recently, the ISI chief was also in Afghanistan to talk to the Taliban. On the 4th of September, fierce firing had broken out between two factions of Taliban over a power struggle. It is then that Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed, the Chief of Pakistan’s Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) had arrived in Kabul to meet the Taliban. Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is the major patron of the Haqqani Network, which is designated as a terror group by the United Nations over its close ties Al-Qaeda.

It is no secret that Pakistan and its intelligence service (ISI) are the chief backers of Taliban and have close ties with the Haqqani Network and Al Qaeda. Despite the Taliban “government” inducting terrorists from the Haqqani Network, BBC, in all its wisdom, left out the role of the ISI and Pakistan in fomenting trouble in Afghanistan.

Right before BBC whitewashed terrorists, they shielded Pakistan

An interesting event transpired on the British Broadcasting Service (BBC) on Sunday. A noted academic was cut off by the anchor of the channel when she elaborated on the assistance Pakistan provided to the Taliban in their war against the USA and the west-backed Government in Afghanistan.

Christina Fair was shut down because it would somehow violate the channel’s “impartiality” doctrine as there was no Pakistani diplomat on the show to provide a response. But it is an open secret that the Taliban has been receiving help from the Pakistani Government.

The Taliban acknowledges the support and calls Pakistan their second home. Pakistani Ministers, too, have been celebrating their victory in Afghanistan. It is unclear how elaborating the same would violate policy in any manner.

Why BBC and other western media outlets insist on shielding Pakistan and terrorists in Afghanistan

Needless to say, that the Taliban selected terrorists belonging to the Haqqani Network and some that had served time at Guantanamo Bay was a massive slap to the western world that aimed to fight terror and civilise Afghanistan. After 20 years of their ‘war’, the west left with their tail between their legs, vowing to talk to Taliban (the very Islamists they had fought) and begging for the safety of their citizens. Any criticism of the Taliban, the Haqqani Network and Pakistan’s role would automatically be a scathing indictment of the US, other western countries, their skewed Afghanistan policy and the shameful exit.

On one hand, the West claimed that it was waging war against a medieval army that seeks to impose Shariah law in the country and oppress women and minorities in Afghanistan. On the other hand, they treated as their ally the very country which was helping this band of merry Jihadists. How does that work?

Needless to say, one of the primary reasons why the western media is not too keen on highlighting the role of Pakistan is because it will expose the duplicity of their own governments that gladly got in bed with a terror nation to gain a foothold in Afghanistan.

Bombay HC dismisses Kangana Ranaut plea challenging Javed Akhtar’s defamation case: Read what the case is about

The Bombay High Court on Thursday dismissed Kangana Ranaut’s plea challenging criminal defamation proceedings initiated by Metropolitan Magistrate in Mumbai’s Andheri on Javed Akhtar’s complaint. Ranaut had sought quashing of entire proceedings including orders and summons issued to her till date arising out of Akhtar’s complaint. The verdict upheld Magistrate’s discretionary order directing police to inquire into the allegations made by Akhtar in his complaint.

In November, 2020 Akhtar had filed a defamation case against Kangana Ranaut over her remarks on him during a television show.

In an interview given to Republic TV in July 2020, Kangana Ranaut had made some startling revelations about the Hindi film industry and about what she called the movie mafia. Speaking to Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, Ranaut had alleged that after her controversy with actor Hrithik Roshan, Akhtar had called her to his house and asked her to apologise to Roshan. She added that he had warned her that if she did not do so she would have to commit suicide.

“Javed Akhtar called me to his house, he said if you do not say sorry to Hrithik Roshan you will commit suicide because they will put you in jail. They have found all the clues, all the evidence. They know the case is in completely in their hands.”, she said.

In other interview given to Republic TV, Ranaut had alleged that while Akhtar and his likes pretend to be ‘atheists’,  in reality, keep an eye on people within the industry to check whether they are pro-Islam or not. She further alleged that then that these people ‘filter’ Islam-friendly people in the industry and promote them.

Irked, Akhtar sued Ranaut.

Kabul: Taliban takes over Norwegian embassy, promises to return after smashing wine bottles and burning all books

0

The Taliban is continuing its purge through the war-ravaged country of Afghanistan after taking control.

As countless stories of restrictions and clampdown continue to emerge from Afghanistan, the radical Islamist organization in the latest has taken over the Norwegian embassy. Furthering their crackdown on anything ‘un-Islamic’, the Taliban has vowed to smash the wine bottle and burn every book in the embassy.

The news was confirmed by the Norwegian ambassador to Iran Sigvald Hauge. “Taliban has now taken over the Norwegian Embassy in Kabul. Say they will return it to us later. But first wine bottles are to be smashed and childrens’ books destroyed. Guns apparently less dangerous,” Tweeted ambassador Sigvald Hauge.

He shared a photo of a group of Taliban radicals posing with their guns.

Norway had reportedly vacated its diplomatic post in Kabul with the assistance of Denmark shortly after the Taliban had taken control of the city.

Atrocities by the Taliban

As the Taliban continues to proclaim they value ‘human rights’ on various global forums, the dark reality of the war-torn country speaks for itself.

We reported earlier how two journalists, Taqi Daryabi and Nematullah Naqdi, associated with Afghanistan newspaper Etilaatroz, were reportedly flogged and beaten up by the Taliban. The two were captured when they were covering women’s protests.

Not just journalists, but the Taliban had even detained the women who got out on the streets to protest against Pakistan’s interference in the country. Zahra Rahimi a TOLO News journalist took to Twitter to share the video of scores of women locked in a parking lot to prevent them from protesting.

Recently, the Taliban had announced their ‘government’, headed by designated terrorists with bounty on their heads.

Cricket Australia says will not host Afghanistan men’s cricket team for upcoming Test match till women’s team is not supported

Cricket Australia, the governing body for professional and amateur cricket in Australia, on Thursday issued a statement ahead of the proposed Test match against Afghanistan.

In a statement, Cricket Australia said, it is very important for the body to encourage and develop growth of women’s cricket globally. It said that if the recent media reports that the Taliban led Islamist government in Afghanistan will not support women’s cricket are substantiated, Australia will have no option but to not host the men’s team which is due to be played at Hobart.

The Cricket association also thanked the Australian and Tasmanian governments for the support on the issue.

The Australian Cricketers’ Association, too, supported this decision of Cricket Australia.

In a statement released, Australian Cricketers’ Association said that they equivocally endorse Cricket Australia’s stand on the women’s cricket issue. “What is happening now in Afghanistan is a human rights issue that transcends the game of cricket. And while we would love to see players such as Rashid Khan play against Australia, hosting this Test match cannot be considered if that same opportunity to play the game is denied to Roya Samim and her teammates,” the ACA said in its statement.

As per reports, Ahmadullah Wasiq, the deputy head of the Taliban’s cultural commission told media that it was not ‘necessary’ for women to play cricket as “they might face a situation where their face and body will not be covered. Islam does not allow women to be seen like this.”

Spain: Bishop quits Church after falling in love with a satanic erotica writer, colleagues say he may be ‘possessed by demon’

0

How often do you come across bishops abandoning Christ for the love of a ‘satanic erotica’ novelist? Xavier Novell, a Spanish bishop who was earlier one of the rising stars of the Church has done just that.

The bishop has quit the Roman Catholic Church after falling in love with a divorced psychologist and erotic novelist Silvia Caballol. “I have fallen in love and want to do things properly,” exclaimed the now-ex-bishop, Xavier Novell.

As per reports, Novell the 52-year-old Bishop’s love story gained widespread media attention and expected criticism in the Church circle. Novell’s former colleagues believe that the bishop has been possessed by demons. Interestingly, Novell also performed exorcisms in the past.

“This is not a problem of celibacy but rather of infestation,” one remarked, seemingly critical of Novell’s decision. Whereas, Dominican nun Lucía Caram said he was “out of his mind”.

Reports suggest that Novell’s scandalous departure from the Church has shocked the religious community. As per BBC, Novell had met several officials from the Vatican and even the Pope himself before tendering his resignation.

Novell who was considered a ‘rising star’ and had become Spain’s youngest bishop at the age of 41, now is looking for employment as a crop expert or agronomist in Barcelona.

Well, Novell’s current romantic story is not the first. Before he became the man of God, Novell wanted to marry an 18-year-old girl and dreamt of marrying and having kids.

Meanwhile, the present love of his life, Caballol is known to author books like “The Hell of Gabriel’s Lust” and a trilogy called “Amnesia.” Caballol’s work revolves around the themes of madness, lust, sadism, God and Satan.

Her publisher describes Caballol as a “dynamic and transgressive author (who) turns upside down our ideas of morality and ethics.”

Novell’s story, however, has once again ruffled feathers in different dioceses giving rise to debates on celibacy and faith within the Church.
