Those who were afraid of going to temple because they would be called communal, are now saying Lord Ram, Krishna are mine: Yogi Adityanath on Janmashtami

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanth was in Mathura on Monday to attend the Krishnotsav programmed organised to celebrate the festival of Janmashtami. He offered his prayers at the Krishna Janmasthan Temple in Mathura and later addressed the people who had gathered at the Ramlila grounds in the city to mark the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who reached Mathura, while addressing the Krishna festival organized at Ram Leela Maidan, said that he was eagerly waiting for this occasion for the last three years. Regarding the birth anniversary of Shri Krishna in Mathura, the CM said he had come to Vrindavan to pray to Bihari Lal to kill the demon of coronavirus just like that he had killed many demons in his life.

In a blistering speech, Yogi Adityanath took a swipe at those who studiously avoided manifesting their Hinduness for the fear of being painted as communal but have now made a beeline to claim Lord Ram and Lord Krishna as their own.

“Those who were earlier afraid to got to temples, due to fear of being labelled as communal, are now saying Lord Ram is mine, Krishna is also mine,” UP CM Yogi Adityanath quipped.

“Earlier, there were restrictions placed on the festivals celebrated by Hindus but now there are now such strictures. Earlier no chief ministers, politicians, MLAs came to celebrate Hindu festivals. If you leave out BJP leaders, the rest of the politicians refrained from visiting programmes on Hindu festivals. Every festival should be celebrated according to the rituals and customs but unfortunately, it wasn’t the case,” Yogi Adityanath said while speaking on how the political class consciously stayed away from participating in the celebrations of Hindu festivals.

He further added, “People were afraid to be seen as participating in the celebrations of Hindu festivals. This abandonment of Hindu festivals continued unabated. No one attended the functions and ceremonies, nor did they partake in the customs and rituals. Instead, Hindus were asked to contend with various kinds of restrictions. In some cases, they were not allowed to celebrate certain festivals. In other cases, they were denied water, electricity or time constraints were imposed on Hindus to regulate the celebrations of their festivals.”

Yogi Adityanath said that there are no such restrictions imposed on Hindus any longer. Hindus can celebrate their festivals with great fanfare as per centuries-old customs and tradition, he added. “This is the change. By protecting and preserving our cultural and religious heritage, we are now ushering in the world of technology-driven development,” he said.

Yogi Adityanath was in Mathura to participate in the three-day Krishnotsav programme that was organised at the Ramlila grounds starting Sunday. The mega event involves multiple programmes that showcase the birth of Lord Krishna, as well as the rich culture and heritage of Mathura, said CEO of Uttar Pradesh Vraj Tirth Vikash Parishad Nagendra Pratap.

Pakistan condemns ‘demolition of mosque’ in Haryana, but their protest is as misplaced as the country’s priorities, here is why

0

A demolition drive has been going on in Haryana to clear up forest land under Aravali. As per reports, there were over 10,000 unauthorized residential constructions including slums and several religious structures illegally erected into the ecologically fragile Aravali forest land near Lakarpur Khori village in Haryana by the encroachers. One such structure was Bilal Mosque in Khori village.

As reports of the demolition were published on news portals and social media platforms, Pakistan saw it as an opportunity to target India and the BJP government at the centre. Pakistan condemned the “unjust demolition” of the mosque that was illegally constructed on the forest land. Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Foreign Office Spokesperson, said, “Pakistan strongly condemns the unjust demolition of ancient Bilal Mosque in BJP-ruled Haryana by Indian authorities in consort with pliant judiciary under BJP-RSS regime.”

The statement issued by Ahmad further read, “Hindutva-driven BJP-RSS combine’s perpetual targeting of Muslims and their places of worship is an indelible blot on the so-called ‘largest democracy'”. The statement further dragged the historic judgement by the Supreme Court of India in which they allowed Hindus to rebuild the iconic Bhavya Ram Mandir that was demolished by Babur hundreds of years ago. Pakistan tried to paint the decision as anti-Muslim as well. It further urged the international community, United Nations and OIC to hold India accountable for such “actions against Muslims” and other minorities.

Alleged columnist and Islamist sympathizer CJ Werleman shared a video of the demolition drive and wrote that the Indian government had demolished an ancient mosque in Haryana. Pakistani daily Dawn picked up the tweet and created a propaganda report to paint India as anti-Muslim.

The mosque is not the only religious structure brought down

As per reports, the Bilal Mosque is not the only religious structure that has been demolished to clear the illegally encroached forest land. Clarion India reported that at least ten mosques, 25 temples, two churches and a Sikh Gurdwara had been demolished by the authorities along with several farmhouses and other residential buildings as per Supreme Court’s orders.

The demolition drive was started after Supreme Court refused to stay the demolition of 10,000 residential properties constructed illegally on sensitive forest land. The court refused to allow any structure to remain intact and ordered the Haryana government to ensure the forest land is cleared of encroachment. The court further added that no structure would be spared irrespective of its classification that resulted in the demolition of religious structures as well. Notices were also issued to the encroachers to remove the illegal constructions. On August 24, the Haryana administration told the Supreme Court that 150 acres of forest land had been cleared of all encroachments.

Pakistan has misplaced priorities

Pakistan is trying to poke its nose in the internal matters of India for a long time, and condemning the demolition of an illegally constructed mosque is part of such attempts. Interestingly, Pakistan is not bothered by the fact that the Taliban is knocking on its doors after taking over Afghanistan, and there are countless supporters of the Jihadist organization in Pakistan itself. Though the country follows Islamic laws, ‘Talibani farmaan’ like ban on music, compulsory burqa, ban on television, no co-ed schools etc are not applicable in Pakistan yet. However, if Pakistan continues to poke its nose in matters that do not concern its existence, soon it will face the consequences.

On Janmashtami, UP CM Yogi Adityanath reads out report card, says 40 lakh poor people given homes under PM Awas Yojana

The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has chosen the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami to release financial assistance of Rs 1341.17 crore to 2.853 lakh beneficiaries in the state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana– Urban (PMAY-U). Speaking on the occasion, the CM of Uttar Pradesh said that under PM Modi’s initiative the state intends to provide a house to every needy, eligible under the scheme, by the year 2022.

The CM took to Twitter to share the recording of the virtual programme organised at his residence, Monday, August 30.

He captioned his post in Hindi: “A significant step toward the objective of a ‘home for all’.”

Releasing the assistance to the beneficiaries through video conference on Monday, the CM said: “It is a matter of great happiness that on the auspicious day of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, all of you have got the fund under PMAY.”

“When a good government is elected, every person of the state enjoys all the benefits of the plans with complete transparency and without any discrimination,” Yogi stated, exhibiting immense faith in his government.

According to reports, over 50,000 persons were connected with more than 650 urban bodies in the state as part of this virtual programme held at the Chief Minister’s house. Under the scheme, as many as 98,234 people got the first instalment, 34,369 received the second and 68,250 beneficiaries got the third instalment.

“Now the money is transferred through DBT, which helps in cracking down on corruption and middlemen in the system,” the CM said while sending the money directly to the beneficiaries bank accounts. “Previously, when the money was shared without DBT, the beneficiary received only Rs 15 out of Rs 100,” Yogi said, adding that earlier, out of Rs 100 for example, Rs 85 used to go into the pockets of the middlemen. However, now under PM Modi’s PMAY, the entire amount directly gets deposited in the beneficiaries account.

Yogi Adityanath also used the occasion to assure that if anyone needs money for housing or a business loan and meets the eligibility conditions, he will receive full help from the government without having to give any bribe or resort to unscrupulous means.

Previously, women had to queue to withdraw money from their Jan Dhan accounts at banks, but the Uttar Pradesh state Government introduced the BC Sakhi scheme to make the procedure easier for them, said the UP CM.

Meanwhile, the beneficiaries of PM Awas and Svanidhi Yojana expressed happiness, during the virtual interaction with CM Yogi Adiyanath, that they did not have to offer bribes or use recommendations during the entire procedure.

“Today, I received the third instalment of my housing loan,” Manju, from Barabanki, stated. The Yogi Government also provides free education to my children.” Besides, Manju has also been receiving free electricity, gas connection, Jan Dhan account, and free ration twice a month.

Further, Pawan, a tea stall owner in Agra Shilpgram and one Sheela Devi, who owns a vegetable shop in Varanasi, thanked PM Modi and CM Yogi for providing them with the benefits of the Svanidhi Yojana.

Speaking on the occasion, another beneficiary named Om Prakash, who is a resident of Lalitpur in Uttar Pradesh said that no government has given him anything for the last 30 years, but under the Yogi Government, he is getting everything. The CM also directed all necessary arrangements for the treatment of his deaf son, added the emotional Omprakash.

Provided 40 lakh houses to needy under both urban and rural schemes: Uttar Pradesh CM

Meanwhile, adding that his government, in the last 4.5 years of being in power, has provided over 40 lakh houses under PM Narendra Modi PMAY-G and PMAY-U schemes, Yogi Adityanath regretted that before 2017, the people of Uttar Pradesh could not benefit from the central government’s PM Awas Yojana or Svanidhi Yojana.

However, as soon as his government took power, the state comfortably secured first place in providing roofs to the poor under PMAY, Yogi said.

Stating that no Prime Minister before Modi has ever thought in the interests of street vendors, the CM added: “Today, money is being provided to the traders of handcarts for business and with the help of SHGs, we are also putting all the efforts to make women self-reliant.”

Did you know? How the killing of the ruling King of Bastar in a police firing in 1966 made the region a hotbed of Naxal violence

Bastar has been one of the most Naxal-affected regions in the country. For decades now, the mineral region has been the hotbed of Naxalism that has killed, and continues to kill, civilians and security forces in grave numbers. But it did not have to be this way. The region could have taken a different path, it could have developed at its own pace and prospered with peace and stability. And that could have been achieved by one man, a man who was killed in a police firing. The King of Bastar, Pravir Chandra Bhanj Deo.

Filmmaker Vivek Kumar, an alumnus of IIM, Ahmedabad, explores the relationship that the tribal community in Bastar shares with the King in his documentary “I Pravir the Adivasi God”. The documentary features people from the community fondly recalling the memories of the King and sheds fascinating insights into the conflict between Monarchy and Democracy, as well as path not tread.

The documentary has been screened at the SIGN film festival in 2021. Maharaja Pravir Chandra was from the Kakatiya Dynasty.

A man says early in the nearly 24-minute documentary, “Pravir Chandra Bhanj deo is the King of Bastar. He is considered a demigod… Whatever Bastar is today, it is because of him.” The documentary shows that there exists a temple dedicated to Pravir Chandra Bhanj Deo where he is worshipped as a the God.

The people featured in the documentary say that the Kings of Bastar used to rule as per Adivasi interests. People have his image in their homes, they worship him. It has been over five decades since his death, however, he still continues to live in the memories of his people. He may be gone but “for us, he is still the king of Bastar.”

Pravir Chandra Bhanj Deo: A King loved by his people

The Goddess and Her rituals form the link between the people of Bastar and him. He established a temple dedicated to the deity and a photo of him with the deity is extremely popular. It is one of the photographs that sell the most.

The documentary also highlights the love that people still harbour for their King. And it is certainly not a phenomenon limited to Bastar. In Tripura, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and elsewhere, Kings are still cherished by the masses.

Some even prefer Monarchy to Democracy because successive governments have not treated them well. “For today’s time, politicians (under democracy) are fine but monarchy was better as they used to understand people’s emotions. They used to visit us but today’s politicians connect with us only for votes,” says a woman. It is a sentiment that is still widespread.

There is some resentment among the local community over what they perceive as the exploitation of minerals and natural resources in the region. Development in recent years has improved the living standard of the masses but the fruits of it has not been even. The tribal folk in the region do believe that what is rightfully theirs is being exploited without appropriate benefits accumulating in their lives.

The Death of a King

Pravir Chandra Bhanj Deo was vocal in his defense of tribal rights and often clashed with the Congress government of the time. He was widely popular and was the elected representative from Jagdalpur Vidhan Sabha constituency in undivided Madhya Pradesh. He took to the streets in support of tribal rights and led popular movements against the government of the time. Then, disaster struck.

As the documentary says, “On 25th March, Maharaja Pravir Chandra, along with multiple tribals, was killed in his police firing inside his palace at Jagdalpur. One member judicial committee set up to look into the episode chastised the administration for mishandling of the situation but did not hold anyone directly culpable for the incident.”

Decades after his killing, his death in the police firing is believed to have played a major role in the outbreak of Maoist violence in the state. It is one of the great “What ifs” in the history of India, as to what trajectory Bastar would have followed if the King had not been killed.

There was a Congress Government in undivided Madhya Pradesh at the time. It is another instance where the Congress party’s failure to address a situation in a wholesome manner has aggravated problems for India as a whole.

Irony: Taliban says there is no excuse for killing innocents in the name of Islam, slams USA for failing to protect Kabul Airport

The ‘new’ Taliban seems well-prepared in the PR and propaganda game. In an exclusive interview with India Today, the radical Islamist group has condemned the attacks at the Hamid Karzai International Airport and have stated that there is simply no excuse for any group to kill innocent people in the name of Islam.

In what sounds like a complete transformation, the radical organisation that had terrorised the region for decades stated that they denounce the ISKP’s suicide bombings at Kabul Airport. Speaking to India Today, Taliban spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid stated, “There is no excuse for any group to kill innocents in the name of Islam. The people of Afghanistan have a right to live peaceful life. We will work hard for that.”

169 Afghans and 13 US soldiers had died in the suicide bombings at Kabul airport on August 26.

Taliban blames USA for security lapse at Kabul Airport

Asserting that the suicide bombings should not have happened, Zabiullah stated that the Airport is under US control. He criticised the security lapse and stated that the chaotic situation there is a major security threat for Afghanistan.

He stated that the Taliban is very sensitive about security, but the Kabul Airport has created an exceptional situation because there is no crowd control. Saying that the area is under the control of the Americans and it was their responsibility to ensure order and security in the area, Zabiullah added that the Taliban is also conducting an investigation to ascertain all facts.

No collusion with JeM, says Taliban spokesperson

Zabiullah denied allegations that the Taliban leadership had met Jaish-e-Mohammad chief and wanted terrorist Masood Azhar. It was reported earlier that Azhar had met Taliban leaders to seek their help for terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, India. However, Mujahid stated that the reports are just rumours and the Taliban reject them.

“We can say with certainty that the Taliban does not allow any other country to be endangered from our country. We assure India and other countries that our side will not be a threat to them,” he added.

Good Taliban, bad Taliban

Ever since they took control of Afghanistan after a hasty US withdrawal, the Taliban had been trying to maintain an image conveying that they are the legitimate rulers of the country and not the brutal radical Islamist terrorists as portrayed so far. Though they have maintained the ‘Islamic’ part, asserting that they will operate under strict Sharia law, the radical organisation that had terrorised Afghanistan for years has been sending the message that they are willing to co-operate with other nations in the matter of bilateral trade and relations. They have also asserted multiple times that they will not be a security threat for other countries in the region.

However, the ‘new’ Taliban’s statements are in sharp contrast to their behaviour in the past and at present. There are already reports of journalists, artists and intellectuals being killed by the Taliban. With ISKP taking responsibility for the current bomb blasts, the Taliban seem to be desperately trying to appear as the ‘good guys’. However, it is not to be forgotten that it was the Taliban who had broken the prisons in Kabul and had set dozens of ISKP terrorists free when they took control of the city.

There are several reports highlighting how the Taliban, the Haqqani network, Al Qaeda and ISKP are interlinked through business, operations and leadership.

Islamist whitewashing guide rule #786: Perpetuate a ‘Dara Hua Musalman’ mahaul to further ‘Hindu Taliban’ narrative on Janmashtami

On Monday, August 29, Hindus across the world are celebrating Krishna Janmashtami, an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, the supreme godhead of all gods including Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.

But on this auspicious Hindu occasion, the Congress party and its supreme leader, Rahul Gandhi, preoccupied themselves in promoting the imaginary construct of “Dara Hua Musalman”, an insidious trope that is often bandied about to cover up the crimes committed by Islamists and portray Muslims as victims of religious bigotry.

To this end, the Gandhi scion today tweeted a montage of incidents from across the country to insinuate that discrimination against Muslims has risen in the country. The Wayanad MP also posted a rhetorical question as to whether the government has “sold off” Articles 15 and 25 of the Indian Constitution.

Article 15 of the Indian constitution proscribes against discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth while Article 25 of the Constitution guarantees freedom of religion to all persons in India. It provides that all persons in India, subject to public order, morality, health, and other provisions: Are equally entitled to freedom of conscience, and have the right to freely profess, practice and propagate religion.

Rahul Gandhi uses “fake hate crime” to peddle “Dara Hua Musalman” narrative

However, one of the incidents mentioned in the video clip shared by Rahul Gandhi pertained to the fake hate crime from Ghaziabad where one elderly Muslim man was roughed up by his own co-religionists over alleged wrong effects of one ‘taveez’ (amulet) he prepared as an occultist, but the Islamists and their propaganda machinery fell over themselves to give it a communal spin and allege that the man was beaten because of his faith.

At about 00:30 seconds into the montage shared by Rahul Gandhi, an elderly man wearing a skull cap could be seen protesting against the treatment meted out to him. This man is none other than Ghaziabad assault victim Abdul Samad, whose video of being thrashed by 4-5 youth had gone viral on the internet in June this year.

Apparently, the video had gone viral after Alt News co-founder Muhammed Zubair first uploaded a muted video (which now stands deleted) of the incident where an elderly Muslim man was being assaulted by 4 to 5 men. Zubair tweeted that the man was threatened at gunpoint, beaten, assaulted and the perpetrators forcefully chopped off his beard.

Later, SP leader Umred Idris tried to extract mileage out of the incident and promote the Muslim victimhood narrative by uploading a video with Samad, wherein he tried to deviously paint an incident of personal animosity as communally motivated. Idris reportedly made the victim tell that he was intimidated and assaulted by goons who wanted him to chant Jai Shri Ram.

The two videos served as a catalyst for the left-leaning liberals, who are forever on the prowl to demonise Hindus and project Muslims as the victims of their atrocities. A raft of left-leaning “intellectuals” and journalists fell for the manipulated videos posted by Zubair and Idris and took to social media to purvey their nefarious propaganda that Muslims in India continue to leave under constant fear of persecution at the hands of assertive Hindus, who they claimed felt empowered with PM Modi at the helm of affairs at the Centre.

However, the Ghaziabad Police promptly issued a clarification, rubbishing the claims of hate crime and stating that the matter pertained to personal enmity. Providing details of the incident, the police said the victim Abdul Samad Saifi had travelled to the Loni border from Bulandshahr, where he was escorted to the house of accused Parvesh Gujjar in Banthala in Loni. After some time, the co-accused, namely, Kallu, Poli, Arif, Adil aka Mushahid arrived at Parvesh’s house and began thrashing the victim. They were later arrested by the police for assaulting the old man.

The victim Saifi sold amulets for a living. As per the police, the accused were miffed after the amulet proved harmful to them. Unlike what the victim had alleged, the police said that he knew the culprits for a long time. Reportedly, Saifi had sold his amulets to several people in the village through the accused.

After it was established that there was no merit in the allegations raised by the left-leaning ideologues of the hate crime committed against Abdul Samad Saifi, the Uttar Pradesh Police filed FIR against Mohammed Zubair, The Wire, Saba Naqvi, Rana Ayyub, Twitter India and many others for wilfully spreading fake news to stoke communal tensions.

Insidious agenda of Congress to vilify Hindus and water down criminal acts of Islamists

Months after it was proven that the Ghaziabad assault incident was falsely billed as “hate crime”, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today included the snippet into the montage shared by him to perpetuate the “Dara Hua Musalman” construct that the Congress party has championed for decades now, perhaps to project themselves as “saviours of Muslims” and win over their electoral support.

Minority appeasement has been a tool long used by the Congress party and its leaders to rally minorities behind them. However, over the years, the Congress party has added another weapon in its armoury: peddling the “Muslim victimhood” narrative. As the ideology of Hindutva started gaining currency after BJP returned to power in 2014, the Congress party in its desperate efforts to revive its fortunes, resorted to inciting unfounded fears among minorities, especially Muslims.

The fear-mongering attempts made by the Congress party jibed perfectly well with the efforts made by the Islamists and their supporters to perpetuate the imaginary construct of “Dara Hua Musalman”, a narrative aimed to whitewash Islamist criminalities and consolidate Muslim support by creating fear psychosis in the minds of Muslims that they are under constant threat of persecution from Hindus.

The long Congress tradition of treating Hindus with disdain and guilt-tripping them with fake allegations

However, in doing so, the Congress party felt no qualms in vilifying Hindus and falsely portraying them as bloodthirsty hounds baying for the blood of Muslims. In fact, for a long time now, Congress has been demonising Hindus and watering down the criminal acts conducted by the Islamists. It had moved heaven and earth to concoct the “Saffron Terror” narrative by falsely implicating Sadhvi Pragya and even Lt Col Purohit. It was Congress that wanted to pass the Communal Violence Bill which basically ensured that only Hindus would be considered perpetrators and never a Muslim, should there be any communal violence. The bill was formed by people who were associated with various foreign-funded NGOs.

It was Rahul Gandhi who deemed mythical “saffron terror” more dangerous than LeT. It was P Chidambaram and Sushil Kumar Shinde who called Hindus terrorists with no proof or reason. It was Manmohan Singh who said Muslims have the first right on our country’s resources. It was Congress that divided Hindus by giving Lingayats the separate religion tag. It was Congress’ stand that was supported by Hafiz Saeed. It was Congress that ran a ‘Modi hatao desh bachao’ Facebook campaign in Pakistan and it was Congress whose leaders went to Pakistan and derided India. The list of Congress’ treachery with respect to Hindus is rather interminably endless.

Ahead of the 2019 elections, Shashi Tharoor, one of the preeminent Congress leaders, stoked fears among the population by making a preposterous prophecy. He said that if the BJP wins in 2019, they will “tear up the Constitution of India and write a new one” and it will herald the dawn of “Hindu Taliban”. Of course, the prophecy turned out to be awfully wrong as neither the “Hindu Taliban” has taken over the country, nor the country has devolved into a dictatorship as predicted by Shashi Tharoor.

However, it nevertheless underscores the point that the Congress party has no hesitation in making absurd and outrageous allegations if it helps them in sweeping under the rug the criminal behaviour of Islamists. With their hatred for Hindus writ large, it was expected that the Congress party and its most senior leader, Rahul Gandhi, would indulge in peddling the same trope of “Dara Hua Musalman” to propagate their fiction of “Hindu Taliban” on the day when millions of Hindus around the world celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna.

Family members of deceased Covid victims slam Kerala government and blame authorities for medical negligence: Here are the details

Kerala continues to remain unhinged in terms of new Covid-19 cases. Furthermore, the medical apathy in the state has raised concerns regarding the effectiveness of the Kerala model of pandemic containment and management, that various media houses and liberal sections of the society have been singing praises about.

Times Now has spoken to a few members of some distressed families who alleged that they lost their dear ones to coronavirus due to medical negligence and the Kerala government’s utter failure to curb the pandemic.

Times Now questioned a Kerala woman named Eva about the circumstances surrounding her father’s death. She confirmed that her father, who was tested positive for Covid-19, had died of a heart attack. Speaking about the gross medical and government apathy in handling the pandemic in the state, Eva said that they had taken her father to a hospital that refused to admit him. From there they were sent to another hospital. That hospital also denied her father admission. They took him to yet another two hospitals in the state, both of which did not admit her father, recalled Eva speaking to Times Now.

“Later we went to medical college. We reached there at around 5:30 pm and until 10.15 pm, my father did not get any treatment”, rued Eva, adding that though he was a Covid patient, she believes that he died because of the delay in the treatment. “If he had received treatment on time, he wouldn’t have passed away. I am sure about that”, lamented Eva.

She added that when they reached the medical college, there were many ambulances with patients waiting before them. She says she was sure that they would not take her father before all of them. So she waited until 10.15 pm. The enraged daughter went on to say that whatever facilities the state administration claims or boasts about offering to the people of the state is a lie.

“Nothing of that sort is there”, said Eva recollecting how she kept shouting and screaming helplessly, asking the hospital authorities to provide treatment to her ailing father, but to no avail. They said they were understaffed, with only 2 doctors and 4 nurses to cater to the patients. They also said they had no oxygen cylinders. They asked us to complain to the government, Eva told Times Now in her broken voice.

Confirming that her father who was finally admitted around 11.30 pm breathed his last at 2-3 am, Eva remembered how there were many others along with her father, who had died due to lack of treatment.

Here Times now questions Eva about the Kerala government’s claims of having all the required infrastructure to handle the pandemic in order. “The Govt claims that the state can bear the brunt of the cash load. Is that true?” asked the journalist. Eva responded with a big NO. She said that she was also under this impression until a father’s mortal remains were taken to the mortuary.

Times Now further interacted with a distressed mother who lost her 7-year-old son to post Covid complications. Like Eva, she too was displeased with the state’s apathy in handling the pandemic. Slamming the state government’s hypocrisy, the kin of the young boy said that he died of some apparent post covid complications, which they weren’t aware of and neither were the hospitals aware or equipped to treat it.

Grieving mother of a deceased 7-year-old says Pinarayi Vijayan govt not spreading enough awareness

The grieving mother of the 7-year-old confirmed to the media house that despite going to numerous hospitals, only the medical college in Trivandrum could diagnose that her son was suffering from MIS-C. She added that they asked the hospital in Cherthala, where her son was initially admitted, to provide them with an ambulance to take the ailing boy to Trivandrum. However, the hospital refused. They told the patient’s kin that their ambulances did not have permission to travel up to Trivandrum.

She recollected that they ultimately hired a private car to take the child to Trivandrum. The doctor’s there conducted various blood tests on the child before confirming that he was suffering from MIS-C, a post covid complication usually found in children. They informed the kin that the condition of the child was critical. They said that they could have helped the child had they brought him to the hospital two days earlier.

She recollected how on the same day, her child’s internal organs started drying. He was shifted to the ICU. A day later he was operated upon but he succumbed to the disease. While narrating the harrowing ordeal, the mother of the deceased 7-year-old child expressed concerns regarding the lack of Covid awareness in the state hailed as the ‘Kerala model‘.

The kins have now been standing outside the hospital with posters trying to spread awareness about the diseases, which she claimed no one in the state knows about. They protested that the government has not been doing enough. They have not conducted enough awareness campaigns here in the state regarding the disease. Even the hospitals also have no knowledge about it. “We took our son to Kottayam Medical college. If they had known about this post Covid complication, they could have treated my son better and saved him”, rued the father of the 7-year-old deceased child.

He added that later he learnt from newspapers that this particular post-Covid infection in children has been happening for the last 1.5 years. “Despite this being such a serious issue nobody is talking about it”, said the enraged parents, adding that the state government should spread awareness about such a severe infection, which has taken the lives of 4 children in the state so far.

Failed Kerala Model

While the rest of the country has managed to control the pandemic, Kerala, hailed for its Covid-19 management, often termed as Kerala model, continues to remain unhinged in terms of new cases. To put things in perspective, Kerala contributes to almost 70% of new infections while it is home to just 3% of India’s total population. Kerala’s average positivity ratio, the rate of positive cases for every 100 tested, stands at 18.5%.

At present, while the most populous state of Uttar Pradesh has been reporting less than 50 cases a day, Kerala has been reporting close to 30,000 cases from the last five days. Recently, media houses like Reuters tried to whitewash the mismanagement and got heavily criticized over the social media platforms.

Instinctively, when the cases are so high, state governments should increase testing so that the infections can be traced and curbed. But Kerala has actually reduced testing. No test, no cases, seems to be the new mantra in the Kerala government. A report in The Hindu Businessline from August 23 states that tests carried out in Kerala had come down by nearly a third in past two weeks.

Hinduphobia: Rahul Gandhi wishes Sumit Antil for the gold in Tokyo Paralympics, netizens point out he has cropped out an important detail

Senior Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi on Monday took to Twitter to congratulate para athlete Sumit Antil for winning gold medal at the ongoing Tokyo Paralympics in javelin throw.

Except, he seems to have cropped out the ‘Om’ from the chain Antil is wearing. This comes on a day he shared fake ‘hate crime’ clip to further the ‘Dara Hua Musalman’ narrative. Rahul Gandhi also likes to identify himself as ‘Janeudhari Brahmin’ of the Kaul Dattatreya Gotra and also as a Shiv Bhakt.

Netizens, however, were quick to point out that the actual image of Antil showed him wearing the ‘Om’ pendant in his chain.

Many shared the full image which was shared by Sports Authority of India which had the ‘Om’ pendant very visible.

People pointed out that Rahul Gandhi may exclude the ‘Om’ from the picture, but he will not be able to take Hinduism out of the athletes.

Some even pointed out that perhaps Rahul Gandhi wants to put out a message that ‘secularism’ is under threat and hence cropped the ‘Om’.

River and ocean water from 115 Nations and seven continents to be poured in the main sanctum of Ram Mandir: Details

On August 25, Delhi Study Group (DSG), an NGO from Delhi, completed its mission to procure pure river and ocean water from 115 nations spread across seven continents. The collected water will be poured into the main sanctum of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Dr Vijay Jolly, Ex-Delhi BJP MLA and President of DSG, said, “When people could not travel from one nation to another in corona times, we with blessings of Bhagwan Ram, succeeded in our historical mission of faith and belief.”

The noble mission of collecting water from across the world was commenced a year ago. While talking to OpIndia, Dr Jolly said that he drew the inspiration for the mission from BJP Leader L.K. Advani, Late VHP International President Ashok Singhal & Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He further added, “Maryada Purushottam Lord Shree Ram was not only revered by citizens of Ayodhya but by millions of worshippers across the world in modern times.”

When he appealed to Ram Bhakts around the world to join him in the mission, the first to respond was Ashish Brahmbhatt from Scotland, followed by Taj Mohammed from Tajikistan. The mission drew the attention of Ram Bhakts across religious lines. Water from each nation was carefully packed and sealed in copper metal pots. When the pots reached India, they were marked with a coloured sticker with the name and flag of the respective nation at Harki Pauri, Haridwar.

Bhavya Ram Mandir, Ayodhya

In November 2019, the Supreme Court of India allowed the construction of Bhavya Ram Mandir on the disputed land. An alternate piece of land was allotted to the Muslim party in the case where a mosque is being constructed. The Government of India formulated a Trust led by Champat Rai to manage the construction of the Mandir.

In August 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed Bhumi Poojan for the construction of the temple. The Bhavya Mandir is expected to open for devotees by December 2023. The ground floor of the main temple, including the five mandapas and the garbhagriha, is targeted to be completed by the end of 2023. The laying of stone on the first floor of the temple will also be completed by then. Once the garbhagriha is ready, the idols Ram Lalla deity, which stayed under a tent for decades, will be shifted to the main temple from its current temporary location.

After the establishment of the idol, the temple is expected to be opened for devotees for darshan. However, the construction activities will continue, like carving on the stones and constructing the rest of the temple complex.

Tokyo Paralympics: Sumit Antil wins gold for India in javelin throw, breaks his own world record twice

Bagging yet another accolade at Tokyo Paralympics, para-athlete Sumit Antil clinched gold in the javelin (Sport Class F64) with a world record throw of 68.55 metres.

In a startling performance, Sumit Antil first set a world record with a 66.95m throw. He then broke his own record with a 68.08m throw in his second attempt. After that, Antil broke that record yet again with a throw of 68.55m in the 5th attempt, winning the gold medal.

Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter to congratulate the player for his win and record. “Our athletes continue to shine at the #Paralympics! The nation is proud of Sumit Antil’s record-breaking performance in the Paralympics. Congratulations Sumit for winning the prestigious Gold medal. Wishing you all the best for the future,” Tweeted PM Modi.

Indian para javelin thrower Sumit Antil who is now an inspiration for many, was a wrestler before he met with an accident in 2015. This tragic accident led to the amputation of his leg crushing his dreams of becoming a wrestler.

However, not letting this accident crush his spirits, Antil met Virender Dhankar, the 2018 Asian Games silver medallist in shot put and asked him to guide him.

Dhankar then took him to AFI’s para-athletes’ javelin coach Naval Singh who advised Antil to take up javelin. And from there began Antil’s journey leading him to bag a gold in Tokyo Paralympics.

India also bagged a silver and a bronze medal in javelin class F45 on Monday morning.
