Joe Biden administration enlists TikTok influencers to promote vaccines among 12 year old children

0

The Joe Biden administration in the United States has sought the services of TikTok influencers to promote vaccine acceptance among children, journalist Benny Johnson revealed in a Twitter thread.

Johnson, who got hold of the confidential email sent by the White House’s PR team to TikTok influencers and shared the same on Twitter, said that the Joe Biden administration asked prominent individuals on the video-sharing focused social networking service to do an intimate call with Dr Fauci and create content to promote vaccines among children.

“The goal is to have…ask questions on behalf of the community and educate young people around the vaccine as there is massive need to grow awareness within the 12-25 age group,” the screenshot of the confidential email shared by Johnson read.

Johnson also shared an extremely cringe-worthy video that was supposedly created by one of the TikTok influencers to create awareness about taking vaccines among children and teens.

The embarrassing video shows a man decked up in unseemly clothes working as an intern at the White House. It depicts how “woke” it is to spend a day as an intern at the White House, working with the politicians and ensuring that Americans are jabbed with vaccines.

Senior Editor at Human Events, Jack Posobiec reacted to Johnson’s expose, stating that the White House PR team went into a tizzy after the influencer email got leaked by Benny Johnson.

Posobiec said the White House team perhaps did not think that the emails would be leaked to anyone on the political right and assumed Tik Tok users to be Gen Z/Millennial Left.

Joe Biden administration employs 50 social media influencers to promote vaccine acceptance

Earlier last week, the US government enlisted 50 Twitch streamers, YouTubers and TikTokers to help them drum up their vaccination numbers and combat the scourge of vaccine misinformation being spread on social media.

According to The New York Times, the White House had partnered with the firm Village Marketing and Made to Save, a national campaign aimed at promoting access to coronavirus vaccines, in using influencers to help with its message.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki had defended the government’s strategy of enlisting social media celebs, saying the goal is “meet people where they are” by using influencers to spread accurate information with larger audiences. Psaki had then also acknowledged that, for some people, Biden is not the best messenger to ease their hesitancy about the vaccine and that other trusted voices can help reassure some people.

Islamists trend ‘Kejriwal Sanghi Hai’ against the Delhi CM for not condemning anti-Muslim slogans, had called him ‘Sanghi snake’ earlier

Twitter was on Tuesday awash with posts that called Delhi chief minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal a “Sanghi”, a term that is loosely used by Islamists and liberals online to refer to people belonging to non-left sections.

#KejriwalSanghiHai and its Hindi version #केजरीवालसंघीहै started doing the rounds on Twitter as a bevy of social media users, apparently, Muslims slammed the Delhi chief minister for not expressing his condemnation over the anti-Muslim slogans that were raised in the national capital’s Jantar Mantar earlier on August 8 (Sunday).

Disgruntled by the fact that Arvind Kejriwal chose to maintain a stoic silence over the incident, a large number of seemingly Muslim social media users took to Twitter to express their disapproval with the Aam Aadmi Party chief.

Many users commented that Kejriwal is a Sanghi because he did not denounce the anti-Muslim slogans raised in Delhi.

Islamists had criticised Arvind Kejriwal earlier as well

Islamists had slammed Arvind Kejriwal when he asked the Muslim community to celebrate Shab-e-Baarat indoors in April last year during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Delhi CM was also criticised for apparently not supporting the Shaheen Bagh protesters and the Jamia rioters.

He was called a ‘Sanghi snake’ for claiming that the anti-CAA protests were sponsored by the BJP. During the run up to the Delhi elections, Kejriwal had resorted to singing the Hanuman Chalisa on news channels to appeal to Hindu voters. But in doing so, he had incurred the wrath of Islamists on social media.

Arvind Kejriwal and his anti-Hindu tilt

The Islamists might be far more displeased knowing Arvind Kejriwal’s pronounced anti-Hindu bent. Several times in the Kejriwal have been seen making Hinduphobic comments. Additionally, radical Islamists like Amanatulla Khan and Delhi anti-Hindu riot accused Tahir Khan, who have brandished their anti-Hindu credentials loud and clear, continue to be one of Kejriwal’s family.

Kejriwal had earlier questioned the construction of Ram Mandir. In another instance, when leftist students at JNU had attacked ABVP students in January 2020 over semester form, Kejriwal had shared a cartoon that showed how Lord Hanuman ‘set fire’ to JNU as a distraction. Ahead of the 2019 general elections, Kejriwal had shared an image where a man with a broom can be seen hitting the Swastika symbol, a symbol holy to Hindus, Buddhists and Jains.

Controversy surrounding anti-Muslim slogans raised in Delhi

Meanwhile, speaking about the recent controversy over the anti-Muslim slogans raised in Jantar Mantar, a video showing a group of people shouting inflammatory slogans and threatening Muslims went viral on social media with claims that it is from the event which was organised by the BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay in Jantar Mantar against ‘Colonial-era laws’ on Sunday.

Ashwini Upadhyay, who had organised a rally to seek the repealing of colonial-era laws and to make laws uniform for all citizens across India, had clearly disassociated himself with the people who reportedly raised the communal slogans. Despite this, the Supreme Court lawyer and BJP leader, along with five others were formally arrested by the Delhi Police on August 10 (Tuesday).

As per reports, Upadhyay was summoned at 3 am for examination by the Connaught Place police station.

The other detained persons have been identified as Deepak Singh Hindu, Vineet Kranti, Preet Singh and Vinod Sharma, who is the head of Sudarshan Vahini.

Uttar Pradesh: Former MLA Jitendra Singh Bablu expelled from BJP after Rita Bahuguna Joshi objects to his entry

BJP has expelled Jitendra Singh Bablu, the former BSP member, who had recently joined the saffron party. The expulsion reportedly took place after BJP leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi filed a complaint with the party, opposing Bablu’s entry into the BJP. Bablu has been accused of burning down Ritu’s house when he was in BSP.

Jitendra Singh Bablu, who is booked in a dozen cases, was BSP MLA in the Mayawati government. He held sway in the BSP government and was considered a close aide to BSP supremo and then UP CM Mayawati. His brother was made MLC by Mayawati. Bablu hogged the national limelight after an attempt was made to burn down the house of the then state Congress president Rita Bahuguna Joshi.

A case was registered against Bablu and his associates. He also had to go to jail in connection with the case. Rita Bahuguna is now in BJP. She is the party’s Lok Sabha MP from Prayagraj. She also served as a minister in the Yogi government.

Earlier this month, on August 4, BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh had invited Jitendra Singh Bablu to join the party in a function organised in state capital Lucknow. Rita Bahuguna had then objected to the entry of Bablu in the saffron fold. Joshi had apprised her reservations regarding Bablu to the party leadership. However, the state unit went ahead and inducted Jitendra Singh Bablu into the party. Attempts were made to bring Bablu into the party last year as well, but the decision had been deferred after strong opposition from party workers.

CNS News Agency journalist Adil Farooq caught with grenades in Srinagar, was earlier arrested in 2019

The Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested a 26-year-old youth at Lal Chowk Srinagar, Kashmir and recovered two grenades from his possession. The youth arrested has been identified as Adil Farooq, a journalist working as a sub-editor with CNS News Agency in Press Enclave.

The police said that Adil Farooq, who originally hails from Khrew, Pampore of Pulwama in South Kashmir, is being currently interrogated. They suspect that a vast nexus might be at play.

The arrest happened alongside a grenade attack at security personnel near Amira Kadal bridge at Srinagar’s Hari Singh High Street which left 5 civilians injured today.

According to reports, terrorists on August 10 (Tuesday) launched grenades at security forces at around 2.40 pm to target a bunker of SSB. The grenade, however, exploded by the roadside injuring 5 civilians. There has been no injury to any security force personnel,” Kishore Prasad, DIG CRPF in Srinagar, said.

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat suspended temporarily for indiscipline at Tokyo Olympics, refused to train with Indian athletes

The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) has temporarily suspended Vinesh Phogat on charges of indiscipline during the Tokyo Olympics. Vinesh Phogat has time till August 16 to reply to the notice. The notice mentions indiscipline on three counts.

Vinesh Phogat had reportedly refused to stay at the Games Village, train with other Indian athletes and also did not wear the official sponsors of the Indian Contingent and chosen to wear Nike instead. She crashed out of the Tokyo Olympics during quarterfinals.

“This is gross indiscipline. She has been suspended temporarily and barred from all wrestling activities. She can’t compete in any national or other domestic event until she files a reply and WFI takes a final decision,” a WFI source told PTI. “WFI was pulled up by IOA why can’t they control their athletes. IOA is issuing a notice to WFI in this regard,” the WFI source stated.

“She did not train with any of the Indian wrestlers. It appeared as if she had come with the Hungary team and had nothing to do with the Indian contingent. One day her timing clashed with the training timings of the Indian girls and she chose not to train at the same arena with them,” the official said.

The source said such actions were “unacceptable” and it is not how senior wrestlers are expected to behave.

19 year old Sonam Malik also received a notice. The source said, “These kids think, they have become star wrestlers and are entitled to do anything. Before leaving for Tokyo either Sonam or her family are supposed to collect their passport from the WFI office.”

“But she ordered SAI officials to collect on her behalf. This is not acceptable. They have achieved nothing and are showing attitude. This will not be accepted,” the source stated.

Vinesh Phogat had trained in Hungary with coach Woller Akos and had travelled to Tokyo from there. She also reportedly resorted to a ruckus when she was allotted a room near Indian athletes, claiming that she may get infected by the Coronavirus since the other three had travelled to Tokyo from India.

US: Dr Fauci under fire for spending $400,000 for funding ‘cruel experiments’ on dogs, university defends him: Here is what happened

Dr Anthony Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), is under the spotlight once again for wasting taxpayer’s money and funding cruel, ‘unscientific’ experiments on canines.

In a new revelation by the ‘White Coat Waste (WCW) Project’, it was found that a whopping $424,455 was spent by NIAID on infecting beagles (a breed of small scent hound) with deadly parasites. The critical information, unknown to the public, was obtained through a request made under the Freedom of Information Act. The ‘White Coat Waste Project’ informed that the beagles were healthy when they were subjected to parasite infestation.

To add to that, the said parasite was also known to spread to humans. The WCW Project noted that the dogs suffered 3 months of excruciating pain and that they were euthanised for blood collection after the experiments were over. As per the documents obtained, the experiments were conducted in September 2020 at the University of Georgia. The funds were transferred to the varsity by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to infect 28 beagles with disease-causing parasites.

The Project accused Dr. Fauci of ordering the experiments and later blaming it on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Division. The Project also revealed that cruel experiments were undertaken to find a treatment for a ‘tropical disease’ named lymphatic filariasis. It added that the tests were also conducted on animals, other than beagles.

Criticism of ‘cruel experimentation’ sanctioned by Dr Anthony Fauci

According to WCW Director Justin Goodman, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had earlier said that testing on dogs was ‘always not compatible’ with interactions between drugs and the human body. He emphasised that the testing done on Beagles was an example of ‘not following the science.’ Goodman also remarked that experimenting with dogs has been ceased by the Veterinary Affairs (VA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). As per the research manager of ‘White Coat Waste Project’ Daniel Lopez, the documents showcased the need for holding Dr. Anthony Fauci accountable for ‘wasteful and cruel spending.’

Fox Nation host Lara Logan remarked, “We know these things happen, but should they be happening with taxpayer money? Dr. Fauci is increasingly becoming Dr. Evil. Over and over again, the decisions that he made that have just destroyed millions of lives all over the world are becoming more apparent by day…We still don’t know so much about what he’s doing. We don’t know what they’re doing at the NIH with animals. We don’t know what research they’re funding with gain of function…We don’t know how many … kids lost out on their education, how mental health has been affected; and other diseases; economies destroyed. It is just really staggering the impact of the way this has been handled.”

University of Georgia defends Anthony Fauci, extends support for cruel testing on canines

While speaking about the matter to Newsweek, Greg Trevor alleged that the experiments were done for the development of a potential vaccine. Trevor is the Associate Vice-President for Marketing and Communications at the varsity. According to him, the vaccine was being developed at another institute, and that the University of Georgia was undertaking research at its behest. He claimed that the ‘potential vaccine’ would protect against a disease that affects the lives of 12 crore (120 million) people.

In a statement sent via email, he justified, “According to researchers at the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine, beagles are the standard dog model used in this type of research…Because this disease currently has no cure, unfortunately, the animals that are part of this trial must be euthanized. We do not take lightly the decision to use such animals in some of our research. Nearly every advancement in medicine, medical devices and surgical procedures has depended on research involving animal subjects.” Trevor claimed that the varsity has followed the guidelines laid down by the Animal Welfare Act, the National Research Council Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and others.

Anthony Fauci funded experiments where aborted babies’ scalps were stitched to lab rats

Earlier in May, the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), a medical ethics watchdog, had reported that horrific experiments were being conducted at the University of Pittsburg involving the body parts of aborted foetuses. According to CMP, such experiments were funded by grants from the Antony Fauci-led NIAID at the National Institute of Health (NIH). In one such experiment, the scalp of an aborted 5-month old fetus was stitched onto the back of a lab rat. Published photos show baby hair growing from the back of the lab rat.

David Daleiden, the project lead at CMP, appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight, and said that the scientists were trying to see how long they could keep it growing. Tucker Carlson asked Daleiden if Anthony Fauci has accounted for this to which the latter answered in the negative. He said, “Dr. Fauci owns every bit of this issue. As the head of NIAID office, the buck stops with him in terms of how those grants are spent., whether they are monitored and make sure they are ethically and legally and just compliant as far as good stewardship of taxpayer money.”

Congress spokesperson expresses outrage against Indian hockey captain Manpreet Singh after he supports renaming Khel Ratna Award

Indian men’s hockey team captain Manpreet Singh on Tuesday supported the decision to rename the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award to Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. He also said that it felt great to win a medal after so many years.

His support for the renaming of the Khel Ratna Award irked quite a few on social media, including the National Spokesperson of the Congress party. Dr. Shama Mohammed said on Twitter, “Is our Men’s hockey Captain ignorant of the fact that it was Rajiv Gandhi khel Ratna Award & not just “Khel Ratna” Award !”

Congress sympathiser Sumanth Raman, too, appeared miffed with Manpreet Singh for his support towards the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to change the name of the award to Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award.

Source: Twitter

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced on the 6th of August that henceforth, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award shall be known as the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. The Prime Minister said that he had received request from people across the country to name the award after the Indian Hockey legend. Therefore, respecting their wishes, the name has been altered accordingly.

The Khel Ratna Award is the highest sporting honour in India. Until now, it has been named after Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister of the country and the son of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. There have been calls by citizens for a significant period of time to name the award after a sporting legend instead of a politician.

Does the Kuthiran tunnel in Kerala reduce travel time by approx two hours? Here is what we know

On July 31, one side of the Kuthiran Tunnel in Kerala was opened for traffic. It is the first road tunnel in the state of Kerala. Located at Kuthiran, district Thrissur, the twin-tube tunnel has three lanes in each tube. On Monday, Ratnakar, State General Secretary, BJP Gujarat, said in a tweet that because of the tunnel, a two-hour journey became a 10-minute journey and thanked the Government of India for infrastructure development.

Many interpreted his tweet as a misleading claim that the travelling distance between Thrissur and Coimbatore has been reduced due to the tunnel. In response, several netizens pointed out that the distance has been reduced only by a few KM and called Ratnakar’s tweet fake or misleading.

The tunnel facilitates ease of traffic, doesn’t affect distance much

The tunnel is 1.6 KM long. Even with the time added that the vehicle would spend on toll before entering the tunnel, the total time to cover the distance is expected to be less than ten minutes. The total distance between Kochi to Coimbatore is reduced only by three KMs. However, the actual time spent on this stretch via regular route is much more than a vehicle should spend.

Notably, the Kuthrain mountain terrain on the Mannuthy-Wadakkanchery stretch of the Thrissur-Palakkad highway is an accident-prone region. There is always traffic congestion due to bottleneck narrow passage. Hence the time spent by a vehicle on this stretch sometimes gets extended to several hours. What Ratnakar said in his tweet makes sense for those who know details about the stretch that could be noticed in some replies.

About Kuthiran Tunnel

It is the first road tunnel in Kerala. There was no formal inaugural ceremony by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The tunnel passed through the Peechi-Vazahani wildlife sanctuary, but the ministry has ensured that it would not affect the wildlife.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari instructed to open one side of the tunnel at 5 PM for traffic. Notably, the tunnel will relieve travellers who would otherwise spend hours in traffic blocks that might last for hours in the Kuthiran hill. The distance can be covered in a few minutes now.

While announcing the tunnel’s opening, the minister had said, “We will open one side of the Kuthiran Tunnel in Kerala today. This is the first road tunnel in the state and will drastically improve connectivity to Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The 1.6 km long tunnel is designed through Peechi- Vazahani wildlife sanctuary.”

He added in a follow-up tweet, “The road will improve connectivity to important ports and towns in North-South Corridor without endangering wildlife. Under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, transformation in the country’s infrastructure is ensuring better economic opportunities to every citizen.”

An official inauguration has been planned once the inspection is over, and the second tunnel would be set to open for the public. Some work is left on the upper side of the open tunnel that would be completed once the second side is open and traffic could be diverted. There are also some concerns over landslips during heavy rains, which is being looked upon.

Congress leader stands on the table and throws files at the Chair in Rajya Sabha: Watch

0

On August 10, Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa stood on a bench in Rajya Sabha while raising slogans against three Agriculture laws enacted last year and threw heavy files with force towards the Chair. A video has gone viral on social media platforms where Rajya Sabha members were seen raising slogans against the laws, and Bajwa was standing on a bench holding a folder. Suddenly, he threw it towards the Chair with force. Though a lot of noise was there due to slogans raised by leaders, one can easily hear the ‘thud’ sound that folder made when it landed near the Chair. In the video, AAP leader Sanjay Singh was also seen sitting on a bench with other leaders and raising slogans against the Agriculture Laws.

Such scenes where elected public representatives are doing ruckus are quite common in the Parliament which is referred to as the temple of democracy.

Recently, it was reported that TMC MP Santanu Sen snatched the paper from IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and torn it to pieces on the floor of Rajya Sabha. He was suspended from Rajya Sabha for the Monsoon Session. In another incident, Congress MPs threw papers at Chair in Lok Sabha and created ruckus over the Pegasus controversy.

J&K: Darul Uloom partially burnt down in Budgam district

On August 9, a Darul Uloom was partially damaged in a fire incident in Budgam district. As per the reports, the incident took place in the Pakherpora area on Monday afternoon.

Kashmir News Observer (KNO) quoted an official at Darul Uloom saying that the fire broke out in Darul Uloom Syed Aali Balki and partially damaged the building. Fire tenders reached the spot and controlled the fire with the help of Police and locals.

During preliminary investigations, it was found that an electric short-circuit caused the fire. However, further investigation is underway.
