UK HelloFresh food app issues apology after a customer gets bottled-up urine with his order: Read details

In the United Kingdom, a HelloFresh app customer was left in shock as he received a bottle full of urine as part of food delivery on February 22. Oliver McManus took to Twitter to say that he received a suspicious-looking liquid in a soft-drink bottle with a meal kit from HelloFresh on Sunday morning.

McManus Tweeted to the company with a picture of the bottle and asked why he received someone’s bottled up piss as part of his order. He wrote, “Hey HelloFreshUK, I’ll keep it simple: why have I received someone’s bottled up piss as part of my order? Look forward to your response on this one.”

He further asked the company to give him an address where he can send the bottle so that they can smell it and check if there was any doubt in what he was saying. Harry, a social media representative at HelloFresh, replied to his tweet and apologized for the error. He said, “We truly lack the words to describe how sorry we are because of this.” He further asked McManus to send a DM to the company so that they can further investigate the matter.

McManus further added that the bottle was not the only problem with the meal kit he had received. His kit was partially opened, which also raised concerns over the safety of the food items inside the kit.

HelloFresh issued statement

In a statement, HelloFresh said that they were horrified and sorry for the incident, and they have initiated an investigation.

The company said, “We are truly horrified and sorry that the customer received the offending item. Given the wholly unacceptable nature, we are urgently investigating, along with our delivery company, how an open box with this bottle in it was delivered.” It further added that an apology had been issued to McManus, and an appropriate goodwill gesture was offered. “We are working hard to do everything we can to ensure that this cannot happen again,” HelloFresh added.

Puns, memes and a lot of trolling

One might have thought people would be sympathetic with McManus, but on the contrary, the incident attracted puns and memes. While some questioned if it was really urine as he was claiming, others indulged in trolling him and suggested he should use the piss for his next drug test.

In a follow-up tweet, McManus tried to answer some of the most asked questions related to the incident. He said he is concerned about the working conditions of the UK workers and does not think anyone should get sacked for the mistake.

He further added that he did not think his tweet will get so many reactions.

Training guns on the Pinarayi Vijayan government in Kerala, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that the Kerala government has not only divided the people but also banks. Kerala, in 2017, launched a Sharia-compliant ‘halal’ bank in a bid to attract investment from devout Muslims since offering interest is against the tenets of Shariat.

On February 21, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath addressed a rally in Kerala for the upcoming Assembly elections in May 2021. CM Yogi flagged off Bharatiya Janata Party’s Vijaya Yatra from Kasaragod. While addressing the rally, he touched on several issues that the state of Kerala is currently facing under the Left Democratic Party (LDF), including Grooming Jihad (love jihad), Sabrimala and more.

Love Jihad issue was raised by Kerala High Court in 2009

CM Yogi pointed out that in 2009, the Kerala High Court had pointed out the problem of Love Jihad in the state. He said that the court mentioned that love jihad was an attempt to convert Kerala into an Islamic state, but the LDF government or the previous government took no steps to counter the problem.

In December 2009, the Kerala High Court had said that there are indications that women in the state were forcefully converted to Islam under the garb of ‘love’. Justice KT Sankaran of the Kerala High Court had dismissed the anticipatory bail applications made by two people who were involved in Love Jihad activities where they were encouraging marriages between girls of other religion to Muslim boys after converting them. The court had said, “Under the pretext of love, there cannot be any compulsive, deceptive conversion.”

Yogi Adityanath said that it is an ongoing conspiracy to create communal disturbance in the state and the people of Kerala needs to wake up. “Kerala needs BJP to stop such incidents,” he added.

CM Yogi, while mentioning the anti-conversion law in Uttar Pradesh, said that the BJP government in UP had enacted ordinances to stop forceful conversions of girls to Islam on the pretext of marriage.

Kerala government is playing with the sentiments of Hindus

Yogi Adityanath said that the government of Kerala under the Communist Party is playing with the sentiments of Hindus. They are using temples to create a communal disturbance. “Take the example of Sabrimala. The government was hell-bent on changing the centuries-old traditions to hurt the sentiments of Hindus,” he added. CM Yogi further said that the government had given a free hand to the organizations to attack temples in Kerala.

On the other hand, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bhavya Ram Mandir is being built in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. He also thanked the people of Kerala for coming forward to support the construction of the Ram Mandir with their contributions.

Halal Bank was another attempt to make Kerala an Islamic state: CM Yogi

Yogi Adityanath said that the ‘Halal bank‘ was another example of appeasement by the Kerala government, but it failed. On the other hand, PM Modi believes in Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas. The people of Kerala deserve to get the benefits of the schemes launched by the central government. There are several schemes, including Garib Kalyan Yojna and several schemes for the poor, women and the marginalized, that have not reached the state of Kerala in full potential. “Kerala deserves to take benefits of all these schemes,” CM Yogi said.

CM Yogi further added that there is a lack of jobs in Kerala due to which youth have to migrate to other countries or states. On the other hand, the UP Government has provided four lakh jobs in four years with complete transparency. CM Yogi added that the government of UP is working to provide all support to both the private and public sector to ensure fast economic growth.

“With the help of the central government, 30 medical colleges are being constructed in UP. One crore households have been provided electricity connections. Two crore toilets were built in the last few years. Over ten crore beneficiaries have already been registered under Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Kerala deserves all these benefits,” he said.

CM Yogi said that instead of providing benefits of central schemes to the people of Kerala, the LDF government is delaying in implementation of the schemes. He said, “Take the example of Jal Jeevan Mission. The government in Kerala is not only delaying the scheme but trying to take credit for the central scheme by changing its name. The LDF government is receiving funds for the scheme from the centre but using it to promote its own cadre by removing the name of the central government.”

Kerala government failed in Covid-19 management

CM Yogi took a jibe on the Kerala model for Covid-19. He said that despite of 24-crore population in Uttar Pradesh, the impact of Covid-19 was minimal as the BJP government implemented all required restrictions on time. However, the Kerala model that was lauded by everyone failed miserably to manage the Covid-19 situation in the state resulting in the widespread of the disease. “There was a time when Kerala government was laughing at UP administration in Covid-19 management, but now the world is laughing at Kerala for mismanagement.”

A magical event came to pass on Monday, the 22nd of February. One of the richest ‘farmers’ in the country hopped on to a bicycle to ride into his office to protest against the rising fuel prices in the country. His Land Cruiser followed him at a snail’s pace as he rode the bicycle in peace. There was a ‘journalist’ by his side to cover his unique form of protest. And then, it happened. The ‘journalist’ fell from the bicycle she was riding. The protagonists in our story are Robert Vadra and Mausami Singh.

Mausami Singh had only pointed out that the BJP would call the whole charade a gimmick given that Robert Vadra had his Land Cruiser tail him, was wearing expensive Suit-Boot while riding an expensive bicycle. The sharp glare that particular line of questioning elicited from the official son-in-law of the Congress party appears to have been enough to throw the reporter from her bicycle.

Nevertheless, Robert Vadra appears to have quickly regained his composure and assured the audience that they would not bother about such trivialities. He assured the audience that the audience would be grateful that he was with them, riding on his bicycle to office. He was confident that the audience would not pay much attention to the elephant in the room, in this case, the Land Cruisier on the road.

Robert Vadra continued, “Why should I be in any other kind of dress to just please everybody? And, if I have a car it is standing behind. I am on a cycle. It’s hot. I am getting to office. I am getting to know what the common man is feeling.” The first part of that statement has forced people to wonder if Priyanka Vadra’s husband was taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi for his Temple run spree ahead of elections. It could be a part of the sibling rivalry underway in the Congress party, some argue.

There does not appear to be any indication that the PR stunt by Vadra had anything to do with the collective Congress effort to ensure that Rahul Gandhi always appears the smartest person in the room, a significant challenge in and of itself. And party insiders confided in us that it was definitely not the case. It was pointed out to Vadra that he could not seriously hope to understand how the common man feels by just getting himself on a bicycle on a hot day. He shut the critic up with an ‘Are you serious’ stare.

Party seniors suspect that Mausami Singh is part of a well orchestrated conspiracy to snatch the limelight from Vadra during the PR event. Shashi Tharoor, on the other hand, considers the fall as divide providence that was meant to reveal to the world the indefatigable vigour of Vadra’s aura the psychokinetic capabilities of which forced Mausami Singh off the bicycle when she embarked upon an unapproved line of questioning. Such robustness demanded immediate subservience, concluded Tharoor.

Rakesh Tikait was led to believe that it is an attempt to malign the farmer protests and he could not stop his tears from flowing in abundance. He was relieved to learn that nobody was actually holding him responsible for the mishap Mausami Singh suffered. Yogendra Yadav declared in his naturally slimy voice that the ‘journalist’ fell off her cycle because she did not demand the repeal of his farm laws.

The most aggrieved party, however, was the Samajwadi Party. The cycle is the official symbol of the party and Akhilesh Yadav concluded that people falling off a cycle is not a good omen. The BJP was quick to point out that this is what happens when you choose the cycle on election day. Pollsters believe that Robert Vadra riding a cycle as a protest could be a hint that the Congress party and Samajwadi Party will fight the UP Assembly Elections together next year.

Meanwhile, the Congress party is glad that the Puducherry Government was not the only thing that fell on Monday. Sources within India Today clarified that Mausami Singh did not fall intentionally to demonstrate her solidarity with the Puducherry Unit of the Congress party. But given the proclivities of the mainstream media, that possibility cannot be ruled out.

Instead of making it an inclusive system, where everyone can enter and travel, they have put in a ticketing system to make it exclusive for their upper caste friends.

I have traveled in Delhi Metro, and I have noticed how only one compartment is reserved for women, while all other compartments are open for the toxic males, there is no compartment at all for the transgenders in the train. So what if that fascist Yogi dedicated one metro station in Noida for transgenders, it does not mean entire compartment is reserved for them or even for Instagram activists for that matter. And what about the annadatas? You want to eat their food but not have Metro compartment reserved for them?

This again points towards the overall patriarchal set-up of a Metro train.

Now that more people know the true nature of a Metro project, I hope there will be more voices against this toxic project, and lionization of men like Sreedharan stops immediately!

Union Minister Smriti Irani, who defeated the senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from the Amethi constituency in the 2019 General elections, is all set to have her own abode in the constituency. Irani bought a plot of land in the Gaurigang district and will be visiting Amethi on Monday to complete the land registration process.

Ahead of the 2019 General elections, Irani had promised the people of Amethi that they won’t have to scramble to Delhi searching for their public representatives and in case if voted to power, she would construct a home in Amethi itself to be more accessible to the people. With the purchase of the land and the subsequent registration process, Irani will be one step closer to fulfilling the promise she had made to the people while canvassing for votes during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

The development was confirmed by Irani’s spokesperson Vijay Gupta. “Smriti ji does what she promises. Now, she will serve the people while staying close to them. This is the reason why a piece of land was acquired in Gauriganj. The paperwork will begin on Monday but the finer details of the house and the plot will become clear later,” Gupta said.

However, as per a report published in the Free Press Journal, a tract of land measuring 14,850 sq ft near Gauriganj has been selected by Irani. The Union Minister of Textiles will reportedly get the registry of the land done between 12 to 12:30 pm on February 22.

In the run-up to the 2019 General elections, Irani had rented a house near Jamo Road which acted as her camp office. The Union Minister currently using this camp office to resolve people’s problems.

Earlier, Amethi’s representative visited the district only once in five years: Irani

Earlier last month, Irani took a swipe at Rahul Gandhi while stating that she had kept her promise of visiting her Lok Sabha constituency regularly, whereas there was a time when its representative visited only once in five years.

“The Lok Sabha constituency of Amethi has seen a time when its MP used to visit once in five years to seek votes. A one-and-a-half year ago, I had made a promise that I will come in your midst again and again,” Irani said. “MPs and MLAs are regularly coming in your midst. In the time of coronavirus, they have been present through e-Choupal and resolved people’s problems,” said Irani.

Australia is locked in a pitched battle with Facebook. The island continent’s House of Representatives has passed a new law last night, which requires big tech platforms like Facebook and Google to reach commercial agreements and strike revenue deals with news outlets whose content drives traffic on the platforms. In retaliation against this new ‘Media Bargaining law’ as it is known in Australia, Facebook blocked people in Australia from sharing news stories.

However, this attempt by Facebook to pressurise the Australian government has misfired. The latter has refused to buckle under the pressure from the tech giant. An Australian lawmaker on Monday communicated in plain and simple terms that Australia would stick to the proposed law, requiring social media websites to pay Australian news organizations for links shared on their websites, despite the Facebook block.

“The bill as it stands … meets the right balance,” Simon Birmingham, Australia’s Minister for Finance, told Australian Broadcasting Corp Radio, furthering that the bill in its present form ensures “Australian-generated news content by Australian-generated news organisations can and should be paid for and done so in a fair and legitimate way”.

While a Facebook representative declined to comment on the new proposed law which is expected to pass through the Senate later this week, the global corporation DIGI which represents Facebook, Google and other online platforms like Twitter Inc said on Monday that its members had agreed to adopt an industry-wide code of practice to reduce the spread of misinformation online.

Why Facebook has been in war with Australia

For the uninitiated, Facebook has been in war with Australia ever since the latter came up with legislation that would require social media giants like FB, Google to pay news outlets. Angered over this proposed legislation, Facebook had unfriended Australia by cutting off essential information services on health and emergency services.

This Facebook ban met with a huge backlash in Australia, from the Prime Minister to the regular Australian citizen. “Facebook needs to think very carefully about what this means for its reputation and standing,” said Australian Communications Minister Paul Fletcher. The Australian PM Scott Morrison took to Facebook itself to slam the Big Tech giant.

“Facebook’s actions to unfriend Australia today, cutting off essential information services on health and emergency services, were as arrogant as they were disappointing. I am in regular contact with the leaders of other nations on these issues. These actions will only confirm the concerns that an increasing number of countries are expressing about the behaviour of Big Tech companies who think they are bigger than governments and that the rules should not apply to them. They may be changing the world, but that doesn’t mean they run it,” wrote the Australian PM.

Facebook has since then removed restrictions on essential services FB pages for Australians, but the mood is still sour. The new law is expected to pass through the Senate later this week. The hashtags #DeleteFacebook and #BoycottZuckerberg are still trending on Twitter as Australians delete their profiles to protest Facebook’s news ban. The Australian PM, in a direct statement, said that Facebook has “attacked a sovereign nation” and, “shown tech giants think they’re bigger than governments”.

From Toshiba to Sony: 12 Japanese companies to snub China for the forcible employment of Uyghur Muslims

In a major development, about 12 companies from Japan have decided to cease business deals with Chinese firms involved in forced labour of Uyghur Muslims in the Xinjiang province.

As per reports, the Japanese companies have been under pressure to act against the Chinese firms after the United States and the United Kingdom imposed restrictions on the import of cotton and products manufactured in the Xinjiang province. Over fears of inciting China, the Japanese government have been passive in its actions against human right abuses in the Communist-ruled country.

Nevertheless, around 12 companies have now announced that they would stop business deal with companies benefitting from forced labour in China’s Xinjiang province. The companies include the likes of Sony Corp, Hitachi Ltd, Fast Retailing Co. Earlier, the Australian Strategic Policy Institute found that 83 companies have been benefitting (directly and indirectly) from forced Uyghur labour, working outside the Xinjiang province through the labour transfer programs.

Japan company Toshiba Corp to cut ties with Chinese firm accused of employing forced Uyghur labour

While most companies said that they could not verify the claims, Toshiba Corp announced that it will terminate its contract with a firm accused of forcibly employing Uyghur workers by the end of 2021. Since foreign firms rely on self-reporting by companies on human rights violations, they have not been able to gauge the situation other than that of direct business partners.

It must be mentioned that Ryohin Keikaku Co was one of the brands that were found to have dealings with Chinese companies, which are under US scrutiny. Although it has claimed to have procured organic cotton and yarn (certified by third parties), the retailer had products with the tag of ‘Xinjiang cotton’ listed on their official website. It was however removed, only after a probe into these dealings were unearthed by Kyodo News.

A sub-committee of Canada’s House of Commons stated that China has detained over 2 million Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims in ‘concentration camps’, making it the largest mass detention of minorities since the Holocaust. The situation is grim as the detainees have no access to legal aid, often resulting in an indefinite period of detention and complete isolation from the outside world. “Witnesses stated that punishment for breaking rules can be swift and violent and that women and girls are regularly subjected to sexual abuse and other forms of gender-based violence,” it stated.

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has marked his objection over a question that appeared in the English language examination paper of DAV School Gopalapuram.

In the question, the students were asked to write a letter to the Editor of a daily newspaper condemning the terrible and violent acts of miscreants who indulged in violence that broke out in the national capital on Republic Day. It also asked students to suggest a few measures to “thwart such violent maniacs who act under external instigation.”

The question read, “The diabolical violence that broke out in the national capital on Republic Day filled the hearts of the citizens with condemnation and abhorrence after the Farm law protesters went on a rampage destroying public property and attacking police personnel in broad daylight. Write a letter to the Editor of a daily newspaper in your city, condemning such terrible, violent acts of miscreants who fail to realise that country comes before personal needs and gains. Destroying public property, disgracing the national flag and attacking police personnels, are few of the various illegal offenses committed, that can never be justified for any reason whatsoever. Suggest few measures from your end to thwart such violent maniacs who act under external instigation.”

Reacting to the question, Tharoor alleged that the school is trying to teach students how to write propaganda. He said, “Is this an English language examination paper or do we now have exams on ‘How to Write Propaganda’? DAV School Gopalapuram pls clarify.” It appears that Tharoor believes that condemning violence, in which not only hundreds of police personnel were injured but two flags with Sikh holy symbol were raised on Red Fort at the place that is meant for National Flag, is propaganda.

Shashi Tharoor is not alone

Shashi Tharoor is not the only leader or netizen who has tried to use the question to spread their own propaganda. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, President, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and national spokesperson of Akali Dal, said, “What kind of communal hatred DAV School Gopalapuram Chennai is spreading through this paper. Look at the choice of words used. This is sheer propaganda to malign Farmers’ Protest and portray the protestors as violent attackers in minds of children.”

Interestingly, the question did not mention farmers but miscreants who indulged in violence. Either Sirsa is trying to say farmers were behind the violence, or he is trying to guilt-trip the DAV School administration to fulfil his own agenda. He further added, “This shameful narration hurts the farmers’ sentiments. We demand an unconditional apology from DAV School Gopalapuram Chennai Management on the same.”

The Republic Day Violence

On January 26, 2021, despite a written promise to the Delhi Police that the protestors will follow the guidelines for Tractor Rally, the alleged protestors entered Delhi much before the prescribed time from unauthorised routes. The forceful entry in the national capital that too when Delhi was at high alert due to Republic Day celebrations, the Delhi Police and security forces had to act quickly to stop the protestors.

The agitated protestors turned violent, which resulted in clashes between police personnel and the protestors. There were visuals where protestors tried to mow down police personnel under tractors, attacked police with swords, batons and one protestor was seen waving a gun.

Amid all the havoc, hundreds of protestors reached Red Fort. They forcefully entered the premises, attacked police personnel, damaged property worth crores and raised two flags with the holy Sikh symbol. As per reports, over 300 police personnel were injured in the riots.

Several FIRs were registered against the rioters and farmer leaders, including Deep Sidhu, Rakesh Tikait, Yogendra Yadav and others. Cases against media houses, Twitter handles and journalists were also registered for spreading misinformation and fake propaganda.

He says that the slogan was raised by the accused in front of the Mangolpuri police, who did nothing to stop them. The neighbour, who is visibly miffed by the Delhi police and left-liberal media’s ‘No communal angle’ trope, slams the two for digressing the probe and attempting to establish that there was no communal hate at play in the crime.

The neighbour here reiterates that the incident was a fallout of the argument between Rinku Sharma and his murderers over the collection of funds for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Rajpal admonishes the Muslim youths who murdered the Bajrang Dal young activist in cold blood. He recounts how Rinku Sharma had donated two units of blood to the wife of one of the attackers who killed him. He furthers that Rinku Sharma had also helped one of the accused to get his father admitted to the hospital when he was infected with the coronavirus.

Rinku Sharma Murder Case

On February 10, 25-year-old Bajrang Dal activist Rinku Sharma was brutally murdered by a mob. The incident took place in a Muslim dominated area, Mangolpuri, Delhi. According to the reports, the incident was a fallout of the argument between Rinku Sharma and his murderers over the collection of funds for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. At that time, the dispute was resolved, but later a group of people attack Rinku again at his house. He was stabbed with a large knife in his back. Rinku was declared dead at the hospital that was only 300 meters away from the place of the incident.

Nine arrests made in the case so far

Yesterday we reported that the Delhi Police had retrieved a new video of the crime, based on which they arrested four people. The video was taken from CCTV installed outside Rinku Sharma’s house, where he was brutally murdered by a Muslim mob.

The arrested persons are named Deen Mohammad, Dilshan alias Aftab, Faiyaiz alias Sadri and Faizan alias Nirale. They were identified after scanning the CCTV footage, coupled with eyewitness accounts. With this, the total number of arrests in the case has gone up to 9, as earlier 5 persons were arrested by the police.

A recent investigation by The National Pulse discovered that top officials in the new Biden administration once served as fellows at an organisation funded by the Chinese Communist Party.

Biden’s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Senior Adviser on China in Policy Planning Mira Rapp-Hooper had once worked as fellows at Yale’s Paul Tsai China Center, the organisation known for accepting millions of dollars as financial aid from Chinese Communist Party-linked sources, as per the report in National Pulse.

The Center was reestablished in 2016 after a staggering donation of $30,000,000 made by the son of the late Paul Tsai, Vice Chairman and co-founder of Alibaba Joseph Tsai. Alibaba, founded by Jack Ma, is believed to have close financial and personal ties to the senior Communist mandarins.

Besides accepting millions of dollars in grant, the Paul Tsai China Center has frequently hosted the Chinese government and military personnel as speakers and fellows and provided them with a platform to raise their opinions.

Joseph Tsai is also a ‘patron’ of the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF), a Chinese Communist Party-backed group exposed by The National Pulse for sponsoring trips to China for journalists and politicians in exchange for ‘favourable coverage’ and part of the country’s United Front efforts ‘to co-opt and neutralise sources of opposition to the Chinese Communist Party and encourage ‘positions supportive of Beijing’s preferred policies,’” the National Pulse reports.

The Center also came under the scanner after a letter from the Department of Education sought financial records related to cash—estimated to be around $375 million—the organisation had received from foreign governments but failed to report The National Pulse said.

Visiting lecturers of the Yale Center include CCP leaders, PLA advisers and senior Chinese officials

Though the Center describes its purpose as “helping advance China’s legal reforms, improving U.S.–China relations, and increasing understanding of China in the United States”, but in reality, the Center partners extensively with the Chinese Communist Party and its American supporters.

According to the report, those invited to speak at the Center included professors at Chinese Communist-party run universities, CCP apparatchiks, and PLA advisers. One of the visiting fellows at the Paul Tsai China Center is Li Qiang, who is the Director of the Military Law Institute at the China University of Political Science and Law, and a former member on “expert panel on law-fare for the Chinese PLA Air Force” from 2015 to 2020.

One of the speakers invited at the Center was the Deputy Director-General of the Office of Senior Advisors to the state-run People’s Bank of China and Secretary-General of the Financial Research Center in the Office of the State Council. Another one served as a former official in the China Food and Drug Administration.

In addition to having senior Chinese officials, closely linked with the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese military establishment, the Center’s American counterparts have been fierce proponents of CCP in the western media outlets. Visiting Lecturer and Senior Fellow Jamie Horsley tried to deflect the blame of the COVID-19 from China in a Brookings Institute piece titled: “Let’s end the COVID-19 blame game: Reconsidering China’s role in the pandemic”.

Another senior fellow and visiting lecturer Susan Thornton were among one of the five academicians who had written a letter to the Trump administration, vigorously arguing that ‘China is not an enemy’.

Biden calls Uyghur genocide by CCP a different ‘cultural norm’

It is worth noting that the revelations about Biden’s top officials’ connection with the Chinese Communist Party came in the wake of the US President’s controversial remarks on China’s treatment of its Uyghur minorities. Biden, in a televised event on Wednesday last week, called the failure of Chinese Premier Xi Jinping to speak on the genocide of Uyghur Muslims as part of a “different norm”.

“Chinese leaders – and if you know anything about Chinese history – the time when China has been victimised by the outer world is when they haven’t been unified at home. The central principle of Xi Jinping is that there must be a United techno-controlled China and he uses his rationals for the things he does based on that.”

However, the remarks normalising the cultural genocide against Uyghur minorities did not sit well with the social media users, who were quick to slam the US President for being soft on China and rationalising the atrocities meted out by the Chinese Communist Party on the ethnic minorities.
