Kolkata police not cooperating in Garga Chatterjee case: Assam Police who went to arrest the TMC troll for insulting Ahom dynasty founder

A team of Guwahati police, who reached Kolkata to arrest the TMC troll Garga Chatterjee for making derogatory remarks against Chaolung Sukapha, the founder of the Ahom Dynasty, said that the Kolkata police were not “cooperating” with them. The city police had reached Kolkata on Saturday. Despite having an arrest warrant against Chatterjee, the Guwahati police were not been able to arrest the TMC troll until Monday evening.

According to reports, members of Bangla Pokkho, an organisation headed by Garga Chatterjee, along with members of some other organisations shouted anti-Assam police slogans and called Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal as anti-Bengali when the state police reached Kolkata to arrest Garga Chatterjee. They claimed that Chatterjee was targeted for speaking in favour of Bengalis residing in Assam.

Assam CM Sarbanand Sonowal called for strict action against the TMC troll

A three-member team of Assam Police, led by DCP (Crime) Barun Purkayastha, left for Kolkata on Saturday to arrest Garga Chatterjee after Chief Minister of Assam Sarbanand Sonowal called for strict action against him for making derogatory remarks against Chaolung Sukapha, the founder of the Ahom Dynasty. It was announced on social media, Friday, that Guwahati Police had been directed to visit Kolkata and arrest Garga Chatterjee regarding the matter.

FIR registered against the TMC troll Garga Chatterjee

Earlier, an FIR was registered against Garga Chatterjee for calling Sukaphaa a ‘Chinese invader’ in the wake of the Indo-China conflict at the Line of Actual Control (LAC). By slandering the founder of the Ahom Dynasty, the TMC troll attempted to attack the Chief Minister for eulogising him.

In a tweet that was later deleted, Chatterjee wrote, “There is a state in India where the State Day is celebrated by Assam BJP to commemorate a Chinese invader who brutally attacked India with Chinese troops.”

Following the tweets, a complaint was filed against him by advocate Bhaskar Gogoi. The complainant said, “These tweets coming in the wake of tense border standoff in Ladakh and general antagonism against the Chinese government at large, might lead to targeting of Assamese people in rest of India.”

Garga Chatterjee spreads hate against Non-Bengalis

This is not the first time that the foul-mouthed TMC troll had tried to spread hatred against Non-Bengalis. Earlier, Chatterjee went on to insult the Marwari community by referring to them as ‘dishonest community that indulges in black-marketing’. He had also suggested that all of India’s problems could be solved if Biharis, people from Uttar Pradesh, Marwaris and Gujaratis were restricted to their own states for their livelihood. Chatterjee had also issued veiled threats against non-Bengalis living in West Bengal.

Meet Jhabra Sekhri, the AAP lapdog who barks on anything Arnab

I had no idea who Jhabra was till he managed to do a hit job against me and my organisation because I had no idea he was that important to be known. Seems I was, so he chased me like a dog, and if a dog chases you long enough, you start to notice. So, this rabid washerman who runs a laundry for news that often ignores its own dirty lingerie (and undergarments stinking with manufactured narrative and fake news), came on to my radar. I named him Jhabra because of my Bihari roots where we call the furry dogs as ‘jhabra kutta’. If you will look at his face, you would see a misplaced garden of curly hair.

The problem with people like Sekhri and his NewsLaundy (‘R’ removed- in English from the name, in Hindi from his body) is the assumption that everyone is answerable to them. He is just like Trichuris trichiura, which resembles a whip but lives in faeces and infests others who live in areas with poor hygiene and sanitation. Well, Sekhri ticks all the metaphorical boxes as he lives submerged in the sewage of unhygienic stories containing lumps of faeces coming from Jhabra himself, ending in a mass infestation of his unsuspecting readers who pay to get sick.

Now that the character is established, let’s get into the shits NewsLaundry CEO revels in. I would go back and forth on his hit job on me, to show how he smoothly transitions from being a person inflated with helium of journalistic ethics (that changes the entire tone of NewsLaundy) to the propaganda peddling popper with suffering from selective retention.

Self-styled ‘fat, insecure, unfunny’ Homo Erectus Kunal Kamra who used to harass female stand-ups in early days, was in the news (and now he is not) for trying to heckle Arnab Goswami onboard an aeroplane. He used words like ‘f*cking’ and ‘sh*t’ and kept going in the face of Arnab, who ignored his advances, and recorded the ‘brave act’. He was banned by several airlines for his Kamraesque behaviour. There was a lot of chatter and Jhabra smelled his friend’s shit from afar.

Jhabra addressed Arnab as ‘news entertainer’ in his ‘opinion’ piece. The choice of words, at best, describe the obloquy as that from a person who is fast losing relevance in a ‘market’ of watchdog that his organisation created, but compromised on every shred of morality that it preached. On the contrary, the ‘entertainer’ holds the rein to the empire of ‘Republic’ that has a market valuation of some ₹1,200 crores ( by last estimation at launch, set to be around ₹2000 crores by year end). To make sense of what that means for the likes of NewsLaundy, if Arnab sips coffee from a cup, and gets it auctioned for charity, it will keep NewsLaundy afloat for a year.

I am not defending Arnab here, because I don’t need to. His works speak for him and while I might not like everything he does, but won’t denounce a person who changed the direction of Journalism in India from his Times Now days, as an ‘entertainer’ because I can use an adjective (and be so poor at that as well!).

On the hitjob on OpIndia, there is a big section of the copy-paste article (reproducing chunks of my own words) letting readers know how obsessed I am with Ravish Kumar. It doesn’t prove anything, rather than just saying that I wrote this, and I wrote that! If you search the keyword ‘Arnab’ on NewsLaundy, you would wonder how come they accuse anyone of being obsessed with anything. It seems as if Arnab ran away with the only pot of hair gel that Sekhri could afford, given his precarious financial condition (and misplaced curls).

He chooses the words ‘ambush monologue’ to describe Kamra’s attention-whore behaviour (no offence to whores). Kamra, Banerjee, Rathi, Sekhri etc are the toilet compartments of the bullshit train that gets noticed only when the lid goes off. They have to stink to get noticed. So, Kamra chose to stink, but Arnab had the mask on. Twitter, largely, celebrated the banning of the boor that Kamra is.

However, that didn’t deter an old friend to let go of a chance of squeezing his own balls to get high. Sekhri squeezed them pretty hard and from the blood rushing to his temples he could come up with three questions, who he announced to structure the whole article on (so that people realise he actually knows to structure an article, which I doubt.): “That he confronted Arnab when the anchor didn’t want to talk to him? That he confronted Arnab on board an aircraft? That his language was impolite?”

The first part of the article explains why journalists need to be questioned. I agree with that. Arnab never said anything about it. As Kamra assumed the persona of a malnourished obnoxious boor, Arnab held on to his dignified one. You can surely question a media person, but he can choose not to reply. Neither did Arnab say anything afterwards. You can force a mic on someone, you can’t make their tongue touch the teeth and produce desired words.

Yet, Sekhri goes on explaining all the journalistic code he never follows. He writes that Arnab and Sudhir Chowdhary spread hate ‘pretty much every day of their lives’. The problem is, coming from a bigot and tartuffian like Sekhri, who champions hate-mongering as an essential mouthwash to start the day, those words make a face which doesn’t have an emoji assigned as yet. If they assign, I call dibs on those curls, albeit misplaced.

Then he goes on to take English people’s names to impress the readers (who donate to read this kind of crap) that he watches documentaries and remembers them too. In next para, he again quotes a British newspaper to sell his credentials. Then he explains how great he was as a 21-year-old forcing people to answer him… blah, blah, blah… I took a nap here.

Then, he gave his seal of approval to stand-up comedians as those who ‘have emerged as the first line of resistance to an oppressive state.’ The jargon was tossed and suddenly a democracy which has, for the second time in a row, with 27 crore votes, gave a majority to a party in centre, which is fulfilling its promises made in the manifesto, becomes an ‘oppressive state’. Why? Because some charlatans have two thumbs to type those letters.

In next part, Sekhri, who just a few paragraphs above accepted the fact that he started his career by heckling people like Sushma Swaraj, Pranab Mukherji and Hema Malini, disapproves of Arnab’s style (sending an army of reporters to heckle people) and even questions if that can be called ‘journalism’.

A guy, who has just quoted that everyone in the position of power needs to be questioned, justifies Kamra’s boorish heckling, started to weep when it came to Arnab’s ‘targets’ like Shashi Tharoor, Jignesh Mevani, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, unsuspecting JNU students… Are these people beyond the scope of questioning?

He is also concerned why Arnab was picking up on JNU students and women of Shaheen Bagh. Well, just because your urban Naxal agenda brings a cosy blanket over these jihadis, that doesn’t mean they are weak and frail. Listen to their chants of ‘azadi’, listen to their kids spewing venom, have a look at the Hinduphobic posters and have listened to the speeches there… These people are Hindu hating bigots who are on the path of jihad and they need to be questioned.

In the next part, the retard Jhabra justifies how the word ‘fucking’, used by Kamra is all acceptable. The logic is ‘bad language’ should not be questioned but we should see what is being said. Here, Kamra not only uses bad language, but he is not getting his message across. If there was a response, it might seem like a conversation. If it is just you, and it is not a private conversation, your ‘bad language’ is just bad language.

Now, I will again quote the great article NewsLaundy did on me, where they questioned why I used words like ‘Ravish’s head should be put in a commode and flushed’. The reporter said it was inappropriate, Sekhri shared the story from his handle, must have read and supervised it too (a usual process when you target someone bigger than you). So, where was that gyaan, Jhabra? Did it get lost in your curls? He uses the same argument that the same article quotes from my side where I said that journalists like Ravish are using contextually far worse words than what mine would mean in the literal sense.

He also uses ‘prissy preppies’, just to let people know he had a dictionary at hand. I am not sure why he used it, but hey… his article, his words!

In the next part, the prissy preppy tries to define harassment and fails miserably. For him, it was not so, as Kamra ‘did not prevent Arnab from moving, or physically intimidate him or threaten him.’ Although I was pretty sure ‘physical’ aspect was not a necessity while describing ‘harassment’, I took a look into several dictionaries. All I could get was, even ‘annoying’, ‘irritating’, ‘badgering’, ‘pestering’ come into the ambit of harassment.

Then he chooses a word which would commit suicide (if it was possible), as it came from Jhabra’s hands: ‘aesthetic’ of ambush. This word just doesn’t suit his face or personality. He is just the opposite of it. As he tries to explain the ‘ambush’, he finds it perfectly legitimate to ‘ambush when the subject is in an empowered and secure personal space’. The only problem here is, Arnab was of course empowered but he was not in personal space, he was pretty much in a public space where the whole plane was experiencing an idiot yelling expletives.

In the next part of his argument, he doesn’t find this heckling as dangerous because, for him, people jostling to get out on a stationary plane is more dangerous. What Sekhri doesn’t understand is, some rules are not defined with a personal perspective of just one person, but they try to encompass all the possibilities that might arise from a situation. Imagine an Arnab fan watches this heckling, he jumps on Kamra and punches him. Will that be dangerous? For Jhabra? No, because aeroplane’s doors are locked, we need not worry till the engine is on fire.

It doesn’t work that way. You can’t say Kamra would do that! Because Kamra is a mentally unstable person who is found running around famous people’s house to get attention. If he doesn’t get it, he asks someone to photograph him doing so, and then he posts it on Twitter. He did the same here.

In the last paragraph of his article, he talks about Arnab’s ‘pathological fixation’ of Lutyen’s gang. Sad words coming from a guy who spells Arnab’s full name if someone wakes him up from his sleep.

The fact is, this is how this gang of thugs with members like Abhinandan Sekhri works. They try to take down everyone who doesn’t agree with their view. These lapdogs of AAP and Congress, ideologically aligned to anyone who is anti-BJP, masquerading as ‘anti-establishment’, are working in cahoots to drum up agenda. Thugs like NewsLaundry CEO Abhinandan Sekhri get wet with the mention of the name ‘Arnab’. He couldn’t have let it pass because Kamra does ‘social commentary’ according to Jhabra! I puked in my mouth when I read that.

Anyway, all aside, given the shit NewsLaundy is in, Sekhri should focus on… well, nothing.

Yogi Govt takes initiative to uplift transgender community, dedicates Noida’s Sector-50 Metro station for their employment

The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has undertaken an initiative to provide employment to the transgender community. After declaring two stations as “Pink stations”, while taking into consideration the facilities for women, the CEO of Noida Authority, Ritu Maheshwari, Sunday, announced that Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will make Noida’s Sector-50 metro station a dedicated station for the transgender community.

Initiative taken to give transgender community a chance to connect with the mainstream

Maheshwari said that this initiative has been taken so that the transgender community gets a chance to connect with mainstream sections of society. The station will be open for all commuters, she added.

“This initiative has been taken to uplift and provide employment to the transgender community. Under this initiative, they will be employed for some activities such as ticketing counter and housekeeping,” said the CEO.

“Various NGOs that work for the transgender community are helping in carrying forward the initiative. This comes after we dedicated two stations as pink stations while considering facilities for women,” she added.

Maheswari further said that in order to facilitate the transgenders, the required up-gradations, such as toilet facilities will also take place at the station. All this will be done in the next one month, added Maheshwari. The NMRC has also renamed the station ‘She-Man’ for transgender inclusivity.

In another first, Yogi Govt dedicated two stations as “Pink Stations” ahead of International Women’s Day

Prior to this, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation had on March 8 designated Sector-76 and Pari Chowk metro stations on the Aqua line as ‘pink stations’.

Ahead of International Women’s day, NMRC had announced that these metro stations would be commanded by an all-woman staff. Before the official announcement was made on March 8, the two stations were painted pink and all preparations had been complete.

“These stations are women-friendly, They will have facilities like baby-feeding room, diaper-changing facilities and a changing room,” Ritu Maheshwari had announced.

Coronavirus: Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain condition improves, oxygen support removed, shifted to the general ward

The Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain, who was being treated for coronavirus at Saket’s Max Healthcare hospital in the national capital, has been moved to the general ward on Monday afternoon after his health conditions improved, his fever subsided and his oxygen saturation level (Spo2) increased. According to the latest update, the minister’s oxygen support system has also been removed.

On Sunday, officials at Max Healthcare hospital had said that Jain’s condition was improving and that he was likely to be shifted out of the ICU.

Satyendar Jain was administered plasma therapy for Coronavirus

The Delhi health minister, who was tested positive for Covid-19 on June 17, was administered plasma therapy after his condition worsened on June 19 (Friday). After the treatment, the minister was kept under Intensive Care Unit (ICU) monitoring for 24 hours.

On Friday, Jain’s condition deteriorated and was put on oxygen support. He was put on oxygen support after his lung infection increased. The latest CT scan has shown that his pneumonia patch has increased despite his being on continuous oxygen support.

Jain had shown signs of acute pneumonia, complained of high fever and drop in oxygen level

Reportedly, the Delhi Health Minister was shifted to the Max hospital in the national capital on Friday after his condition deteriorated. He was earlier admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital (RGSSH) on Tuesday after he complained of high fever and drop in oxygen level. Jain had shown signs of acute pneumonia.

In the absence of Jain, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia has been affairs of the Health Ministry, which is responsible for the fight against the coronavirus in the national capital.

Along with Satyendar Jain, Kalkaji MLA Atishi Marlena was also tested positive for coronavirus infection on Wednesday evening. She became the fourth MLA of AAP to be tested positive. She is currently under home quarantine.

Coronavirus in the national capital

Delhi recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases in India after Maharashtra. With 3,000 people testing positive in the last 24 hours, Delhi’s coronavirus count has inched towards the 60,000-mark. The deadly infection claimed over 2,100 lives in the national capital.

After Donald Trump calls Coronavirus Kung Flu, Arvind Kejriwal calls efforts to contain virus a battle against China

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday called efforts to contain the Wuhan Coronavirus a war against China. The Aam Aadmi Party supremo said that India is currently waging two wars against one China, one at the border in Ladakh and another against the virus that has its origins in China. He assured citizens that we will win both the wars.

“Our doctors, nurses, and soldiers are all fighting and the people of the country are standing beside them. The entire country has to fight at both the fronts united. This should not be politicised. We have to fight against China and coronavirus,” Arvind Kejriwal added.

“We have increased the testing to three times compared to before. Earlier, around 5,000 tests were being conducted per day, now around 18,000 tests are being conducted per day. Now people will not face any issues in getting tested,” the Delhi Chief Minister added.

The statement comes days after Indian troops clashed with soldiers of the PLA at Galwan Valley along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). While India lost 20 of its men, there is a consensus that China lost a lot more troops than that without gaining anything. The Prime Minister in his address had confirmed that the Indian troops attained martyrdom while paying back in kind.

Arvind Kejriwal is likely to have irked China as well since the Chinese government does not appreciate people linking the origins of the virus to their country. It has gone to great lengths to cover up its terrible mishandling of the crisis. However, their attempts have largely been unsuccessful thus far. Only recently, US President Donald Trump had called the virus ‘Kung Flu’.

Uttar Pradesh, Uttarkhand and Harayana defers Kanwar Yatra amidst Coronavirus pandemic

The Kanwar Yatra which was scheduled to commence from July 6 this year has reportedly been postponed by the States of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarkhand, and Harayana, owing to the Coronavirus pandemic. The decision was made during a video conference meeting between the Chief Ministers of three States in ‘public interest’, following their consultation with religious leaders and Kanwar Sanghs.

As per the report, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has directed the police, administrative officials to communicate with Kanwar Sanghs, religious leaders, and peace committees. A government spokesperson has informed that not more than five people will be allowed in the ‘jal abishek rituals’ at the shivalayas.

The proposal to cancel the Yatra came from saint and religious leaders of the states and was accepted in the meeting between the CMs.

Other than the Kanwar Yatra, the UP CM has also ordered that more than five people cannot gather to celebrate Eid- ul-Adha (Bakri-Eid) in August.

What is Kanwar Yatra?

Kanwar yatra is an annual pilgrimage of devotees of Lord Shiva. The devotees are known as Kawariyas and carry a Kanwar, a bamboo pole. Kanwar has two pitchers that are hung on either side by ropes and are often decorated with colourful papers. Kawariyas carry the bamboo pole on their shoulders and balance the weight of the two pitchers.

The pilgrims head to religious cities, where the Holy river Ganga flows, such as Haridwar, Rishikesh, Gangotri, Kashi, etc. They fill their containers with the holy water and offer it to Lord Shiva.

Delhi anti-Hindu riots: Rajdhani school owner Faisal Farooq gets bail, was accused of orchestrating riots

Delhi court on Saturday granted bail to Faisal Farooq, the principal of Rajdhani Public School, who was arrested for allegedly orchestrating the anti-Hindu riots in North-East Delhi earlier this year. While granting bail, the court observed that there was no prima-facie evidence of Farooq’s links with Pinjra Tod group, the Popular Front of India and Markaz, as alleged by the Delhi police. The court also observed that there was no evidence to prove that Farooq was present at the spot at the time of the incident.

The Delhi police were investigating the assets of accused Faisal Farooq and his links with Nizamuddin Markaz. As per the investigation, the Delhi police had revealed that Faisal Farooq was in contact with PFI, Pinjra Tod, and Markaz and more importantly it was the influential people of Nizamuddin Markaz whom with he was in contact. It is also revealed that Faisal Farooq also went to Deoband one day before riot. The crime branch is investigating the role of Nizamuddin Markaz in the riots.

Faisal Farooq, who has been arrested for orchestrating riots is the owner of the Rajdhani school

During the riots in Delhi’s Dayalpur area of North-east Delhi, the rioters made Rajdhani school their stronghold. Faisal Farooq, who was arrested for orchestrating riots is the owner of the Rajdhani school. Delhi police had arrested him along with 18 others.

According to Crime branch Faisal Farooq owns three schools in Delhi. They are:

  1. Crown public school, Seelampur
  2. Rajdhani School, Shiv Vihar
  3. Victoria Public senior Secondary school, Vajirabad Road

Not only this, in 2014 he bought a property in Yamuna Vihar C-1/9 for about 6 crores. In the year 2017, he bought C-3/59A worth about 7.5 crore rupees in Yamuna vihar. In the year 2018 and 2019, 2 shops in Yamuna Vihar were bought for 10 crores and in 2020 the property of B-1/1 in Yamuna Vihar was purchased for about 10 crores.

The Crime Branch also came to know while investigating that Faisal Farooq was allegedly in contact with the people involved with the PFI and Hazrat Nizamuddin Markaz. This was the reason that the police was investigating the PFI and the connection of their assets.

Rajdhani school used for riots

As per reports, the rioters were camping inside the Rajdhani school and fired bullets from the terrace of Rajdhani school. They used the terrace of Rajdhani school to throw petrol bombs, acid, bricks, stones, and other projectile using an improvised large iron catapult installed there. The mob used ropes to climb down from the roof of Rajdhani school into the compound of DRP convent school and set the school on fire.

The charge-sheet in the case has been filed. The FIR was lodged on March 5 in the riots that took place on February 24 outside the premises of Rajdhani school Shiv Vihar, New Mustafabad, Delhi. The FIR was registered on the complaint filed by the owner and manager of DRP Convent school which is adjacent to the Rajdhani school building.

The charge sheet says that on 24 February, many children from Muslim families had left the school early, along with their parents, which indicate that the riot was pre-planned. Presence of Glass bottles for Molotov cocktails, rope and iron catapult on the terrace of Rajdhani school point towards the execution of a well-planned strategy and assault on the other party, the charge sheet asserts.

Rahul Gandhi tries to correct his pro-China image, lands up on the wrong side of The Hindu

Amidst the ongoing tension between India and China, after China unilaterally and violently tried to change status-quo in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh, Congress has been up to its usual politicisation when it comes to external conflict. Ever since the Modi government has come to power, Congress has time and again proved that in its desperation to politically oppose the Modi government, it has turned into a carrier of the propaganda unleashed by enemy nations such as China.

After Prime Minister Modi’s recent statement about the Galwan Valley stand-off, Rahul Gandhi went into a tizzy. He claimed that the Prime Minister had ‘surrendered Indian territory to China’. Factually, his claims made no sense, of course. However, that did not stop him from furthering this platitude. The Chinese troops entered Galwan Valley earlier and were pushed back by Indian Army in early May.

The Chinese Army then came back and while being pushed back, the present clashes took place. PM Modi’s statement simply meant that the PLA has no presence on our side of the LAC after they were pushed behind. His statement came after Rahul Gandhi’s coterie repeatedly insinuated that PLA still has its presence in the Galwan Valley and had “taken over” large chunks of land in the area.

So, after Rahul Gandhi’s own coterie spread a lie, the coterie’s leader took the clarification presented to counter that lie, twisted it, and started peddling his own propaganda to insinuate that PM Modi had himself admitted that India had surrendered land to China.

Even while peddling lies, though, Congress was seen taking an unprecedented, aggressive stand against China which was previously unheard of. The reason for Congress taking a muscular stand against Congress while trying to lie about the standoff and tacitly help China was because after the Congress party yet against decided to undermine India’s interests, their own proximity to the Communist Party of China had surfaced.

Till about the 18th of June, Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party’s strategy was consistent with their past treachery – Question India, go soft on China. The strategy was rather clear from his tweets in the first couple of days.

First, Rahul tweeted a perfunctory tweet pretending to grieve for Indian soldiers. However, the tweet had no mention of China or even a soft condemnation of its aggression and barbarity.

His next tweet came on 17th June. Again, he attacked the Prime Minister of India, tacitly questioned the Indian Army’s position and furthered the Chinese propaganda that India is “scared of China”. Of course, in his tweet, since Rahul could say ‘India’ without committing political suicide, he chose to focus on the Prime Minister by saying he was “hiding”.

In the meantime, Rahul also shamelessly insinuated that our soldiers were ‘unarmed’. What he meant to insinuate was simple – India is not equipped to fight China and our soldiers were “unarmed” because the Prime Minister does not care about soldiers’ life. This too played right into the hands of China.

However, after this, something rather remarkable happened.

Three very distinct things were revealed:

  1. It was the Congress government and its ally government in the 1990s that had signed agreements with China assuring that no firearms will be used by either side. Thus, Rahul was simply lying and furthering the Chinese propaganda of India being “weak” as compared to the Communist state.
  2. Congress signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Communist Party of China, which is the ruling and ONLY political party in China. During UPA1 in 2008, the Congress party and the Communist Party of China (CPC) had signed a deal in Beijing for exchanging high-level information and co-operation between them. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) also provided the two parties with the “opportunity to consult each other on important bilateral, regional and international developments”. Interestingly, the MoU was signed by the then Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi and on the Chinese side, it was signed by none other than Xi Jinping himself, who was then the Chinese vice-president and standing committee member of the CPC’s politburo. The MoU was signed in the presence of his mother and party president Sonia Gandhi.
  3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s website has been blocked by the autocratic regime in China while Rahul Gandhi’s website is completely accessible.

The revelations led to severe criticism of the Congress party and questions were raised about their intent behind undermining India. Since then, Rahul Gandhi started pretending to ask “tough questions” to China, without really asking them any questions and behind that pretence, he continued to undermine India. However, that pretence of taking a “tough stand” against China was rather visible in his tweets.

While Rahul Gandhi was continuing to lie about the facts and still tacitly helping further the Chinese propaganda, he started using phrases like ‘Chinese aggression’ and “China took our land” to at least cover up his pro-China feelings behind fancy phrases.

As Congress tried to fire-fight its pro-China sympathies being exposed out in the open, Rahul Gandhi ended up offending another pro-China publication that had helped Congress in building up its Rafale lie. N Ram, one of the foremost members of the Kasturi family that owns The Hindu and the one who runs the show as a Director now was not pleased with Rahul Gandhi even pretending to diss China.

N Ram published two tweets where he made his discontent with Rahul Gandhi and the Congress for attacking China rather apparent.

N Ran wrote, “Why is the Congress taking a self-damaging chauvinistic line on the clashes that, according to Indian media accounts, happened on the Chinese side of the LAC? Why is it contesting PM Modi’s factual statement that “no one has entered our territory…”?”.

Further, he said, “The Congress has learnt nothing and forgotten nothing from history. It should go back not to Jawaharlal Nehru’s, but to Rajiv Gandhi’s playbook: his December 1988 visit to China & meeting with Deng Xiaoping was the constructive breakthrough event in India-China relations”.

In his tweets, N Ram too only pretended to support the statement by PM Modi. In essence, he was rather clearly insinuating that he was not in support of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party’s “chauvinistic line” on the clashes that according to Indian media, “happened on the Chinese side of the LAC”.

Essentially, N Ram meant that in this clash, India was the aggressor and Rahul Gandhi now being aggressive (even in pretence) against China was being “Chauvinistic”. N Ram also said that Congress should take a cue from Rajiv Gandhi visit to China in 1988 which “broke the ice”. Interestingly, that visit only “broke the ice” with China because inevitably, “breaking ice” with the Chinese mainly means accepting their hegemony and autocracy.

The Hindu is known to have sentiments that favour China and with the recent revelations and conduct of Congress, it is evident that Rahul Gandhi does too. However, for now, it would appear as if Ram is not really a part of the WhatsApp group and the ‘Change in Propaganda Strategy’ memo by the Congress does not seem to have reached Ram yet.

Assam: Communal tension as 20-year-old Saurav murdered, body dumped in river over affair with minor Muslim girl, 3 arrested

On Saturday, the Dibrugarh police had reportedly arrested one Rahimuddin and two others, in connection to the brutal murder of a 20-year-old named Saurav Das. The incident took place n Lejai in the Dibrugarh district of upper Assam on Friday night and the body of the victim was disposed off in the Sesa river. The victim hailed from Dewanbari village that fell under the jurisdiction of Borbaruah police station.

A team of the State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF) has been successful in recovering the body from the river. As per reports, the deceased boy was allegedly dating a minor girl and on the night of his murder, he was called by the girl to meet at the spot where the girl’s father Rahimuddin and two of his accomplices were already waiting for him.

Saurav Das was then stabbed and his body was dumped into the river. His 2-wheeler was recovered from a spot, adjacent to the river. “It is a pre-planned murder. We demand a proper investigation into the incident. We will not remain silent till the culprits get strict punishment,” a local man was quoted as saying.

Locals block National Highway

Local people from the Lezai area reportedly staged a protest against the murder of Saurav Das, burnt tyres, motorcycles, vandalised a police car, and also blocked the National Highway 37 for an hour. The protestors demanded capital punishment for the culprits. A resident of Lezai warned that such incidents would not be tolerated anymore and reiterated the demand for the death penalty. “If our demand is not met, then we will intensify our movement,” he emphasised.

The Dibrugarh administration issued a prohibitory order on Saturday under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) to prevent unrest in Lezai and Bordoibam areas. The order stated that anyone found violating the rules would be punished under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code. The order prohibited unauthorised movement, inciteful speeches and activities that were in breach of public peace and tranquility.

The Brutal murder of Rituparna Pegu

Earlier, the Assam Police had arrested five individuals in connection to the gruesome murder of a man named Rituparna Pegu. The incident took place in the Noonmati area of Guwahati, Assam. Congress and its supporters share Indira Gandhi’s old picture from Leh and claim it was in Galwan Valley

The Congress ecosystem continues to play petty politics over the recent violent clash between the Indian Army and the Chinese troops in which our country lost 20 of its brave soldiers. Today, a black and white picture of former Prime Minister and Congress leader Indira Gandhi addressing soldiers in the backdrop of a mountain range is being extensively shared on various social media platforms, especially by the Congress party.

The verified Twitter handle of Uttar Pradesh Congress was first to share the black and white picture with claims that Indira Gandhi is seen here addressing soldiers at Galwan Valley.

Soon after, the picture was also shared by Twitter handles such as Indira Gandhi and Spirit of Congress claiming that the Galwan Valley which belonged to India during the UPA regime now belongs to China.

The same picture was retweeted by the verified Twitter handle of Delhi Congress and Congress leader Alka Lamba

Congress also took to Facebook to make similar claims. Several verified Facebook pages such as Indian National Congress – Uttar Pradesh, Indian Youth Congress and U.P East Youth Congress have posted the same content.

The image is from Leh, not Galwan Valley

Congress, going by its penchant has once again made a malicious and untrue claim. This black and white image of Indira Gandhi addressing soldiers in not of Galwan Valley but of the former PM addressing soldiers in Leh in the year 1971. The picture which was being widely circulated by Congress with misleading claims was actually published by news agency Press Trust of India in 1971 in Leh, which is around 220 kilometres from the conflict zone of Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh.

The search for the original source for the picture was found in PTI archives. According to PTI, this picture was taken in Leh in 1971. The news agency has given the picture courtesy to DPR (Defence).

This picture was also used in an article on Indira Gandhi on the website art-sheep.com. The caption under the picture says, “One of the rare pictures of former Prime Minister late Indira Gandhi addressing jawans in Leh in 1971.”

Hence, it becomes sufficiently clear that the viral picture of former PM late Indira Gandhi addressing soldiers is not from Galwan Valley but Leh, and that the Congress ecosystem has once again peddled misleading and fake claims to malign the Modi government. Even though Rahul Gandhi’s each and every attempt to use the Sino-India border issue to target the Modi government has boomeranged recently, his party seems not to let go.
