The Waqf (Amendment) Act, passed by the UPA administration in 2013, handed extensive power to the Waqf Board. 

Opposed to the Waqf Amendment Bill to appease the Muslims, the grand-old party said that Munambam 'is not Waqf land' so as to not irk the Christian community.

The opposition did fearmongering during the anti-CAA protests. It has now labeled the Waqf (Amendment) Bill as anti-Muslims.

The protesting students demanded a written assurance that the land would be formally registered under the university.

The Karnataka government on Thursday announced an increase in the selling price of Nandini milk and curd by Rs 4 per litre, effective from April 1. The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting held by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
