During election rallies in Bihar, PM Modi mentioned this phenomenon of RJD playing songs about theft, pistols, and double-barrel guns in election rallies.

During a panel discussion program on India Today, Marya Shakil said that in the Bihar of 1990s, “Lalu Prasad Yadav was a political necessity. When he carried out the movement of ‘Bhura Baal Saaf Karo’ and the entire movement against the upper castes, that was the need of the hour.”

This armed conflict lasted from 1990 to 2002. During this period, the village defence forces seized weapons such as machine guns and Sten guns and handed them over to the government. At one point, they possessed 16,000 weapons, including 9,500 licensed ones.

Songs with obscene visuals and cheap lyrics have been a part of poll campaigns in Bihar. However, RJD supporters are making songs with crowd brandishing guns, rifles and lathis, glorifying violence, implying dominance, caste-based intimidation, specifically a “Yadav Raj”, abduction of those who dare to oppose them.

Tejashwi Yadav maintained that "Jungle Raj" is a construct of the media and referred to the media before 2014 as "innocent."

Talking about the infamous car-lifting incident during Lalu Yadav’s daughter’s wedding, Subhash Yadav said that it happened on the direction of Lalu Yadav.

In the period between 2016 to 2024, the crimes against children rose from 2879 to 4727. These crimes involve kidnapping and abduction, although recent numbers that have emerged showcase a slight decline.
