Madhubani paintings adorn Madhubani railway station and it is beautiful

The world renowned traditional art form from Bihar, Madhubani, is now adorning the walls of Madhubani railway station. As part of the Swachhata mission on 2nd October, the East Central Railway (ECR) division took it upon themselves to transform the walls into beautiful piece of art as a way to not only showcase the talent of the artists, but to also make the newer generation aware of the tradition. As many as 200 Mithila painting artists took part for about fifteen days to make this possible. It has been well appreciated by many people who were pleasantly surprised to see the lovely walls.

It is indeed heartening to see revival of traditional Indian art form.
