Akshay Kumar puts an end to speculations, denies rumours of contesting elections

Akshay Kumar is not contesting the elections

Putting an end to speculations of Akshay Kumar joining active politics, the actor took to Twitter to clarify that his cryptic tweet of getting into an ‘unknown and uncharted territory’ is not a hint on contesting elections.

Earlier today, the versatile actor had tweeted that he is going to do something he has never done before.

This tweet had fuelled speculations that he may soon take the plunge and join active politics like his former co-star Urmila Matondkar who recently joined Congress.

Mysore Pak enthusiast who doubles up as a JNU citizen in his free time also decided to have some fun.

However, putting all the speculations to rest, Akshay Kumar later clarified that whatever the ‘unknown and uncharted’ territory might be, it is definitely not politics.

Well, at least not contesting the current Lok Sabha elections.
