Underscoring Elon Musk’s ambition to cut expenses and turn around the ailing social media site in the black, Twitter Inc. has closed two of its three India offices and instructed its workers to work from home.

According to the reports, Twitter closed its operations in the financial powerhouse of Mumbai and the political capital of New Delhi after terminating more than 90% of its 200-plus employees in India. The business still maintains a location in Bengaluru, a southern IT hotspot, where it mostly employs engineers. 

In a drive to stabilise Twitter’s finances by late 2023, billionaire Chief Executive Officer Musk has sacked employees and closed offices throughout the globe. Even so, India is seen as a significant growth area for American IT behemoths like Meta Platforms Inc. and Google, both of which are placing long-term investments in the fastest-growing internet market in the world. According to Musk’s most recent actions, the market is less important to him right now.

In recent years, Twitter has developed into one of India’s most significant public forums, housing vehement political debate and the 865 million followers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Nevertheless, Musk’s firm makes less money here and it also has to deal with stringent content laws and a cutthroat local rivalry, Bloomberg reported.

After Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, there has been a mass departure of employees, many of whom were dismissed, raising questions about Twitter’s ability to continue operating and control content. This week, Musk stated that it may take him till the end of the year to balance the business and ensure its financial soundness.

Following the $44 billion acquisition, Twitter has been sued by several contractors for unpaid services, has not paid millions of dollars in rent for its San Francisco headquarters and London locations, and has auctioned off everything from bird statues to espresso makers to earn money.

Musk has also publicly discussed going bankrupt, citing a “massive drop” in income as a result of sponsors leaving because of uncertainty about Twitter’s capacity to screen out objectionable content. He has also been working recently on increasing revenue for the microblogging site. He has launched a subscription model that requires users to pay $8 per month for verification and other benefits.

Kanpur Dehat: Video shows Dixit family pleading to DM for help a month before the tragedy, survivor says nobody heard their pleas

On Monday, February 13, reports emerged that 45-year-old Pramila Dikshit and her 20-year-old daughter Neha were burnt alive during the demolition drive in the village Madauli under the Rura Police Station area, district Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Initially, it was said that the women immolated themselves. The deceased’s family, however, has stated that the duo did not set themselves on fire, but rather the SDM directed Lekhpal to set fire to their house, in which the duo got trapped and was charred to death.

As per a report in Aaj Tak, another video has surfaced wherein Pramila Dikshit’s husband Krishna Gopal Dixit has accused DM Neha Jain of negligence and apathy, resulting in the February 13 tragedy. The video is said to be from January 14, 2023. The disgruntled Krishna Gopal Dixit alleged that if the DM had addressed their plea in January, the February 13 tragedy may have been averted.

It may be recalled that it was on January 14 that SDM Janeshwar Prasad, Lekhpal Ashok Singh, Tehsildar, 12-15 police officers, and a JCB had for the first time arrived at Krishna Gopal Dixit’s pucca house, where the family had been living for the past many years, on the basis of a complaint filed by one Ashok Dixit that the house was built on encroached land. The officials had allegedly arrived without a copy of the official order authorising the demolition. Shivam, the son of Pramila Dixit, had said that his family had not received any prior information from the authorities warning them of the situation.

Shivam’s family contested the authorities’ arbitrary action against their pucca house. Facing protests, the authorities could only remove some construction. They returned warning Shivam and his family to vacate the area in the next 3-5 days.

The next day, Krishna Gopal Dixit said he along with his wife, daughter and two sons, visited DM Neha Jain’s office pleading for justice.

District Magistrate Neha Jain, on the other hand, did not meet with the victim’s family. The victim’s family spent the entire night outside the DM’s office, in the hope to meet Jain, but to no avail. The next morning, SDM Janeshwar Prasad showed up at the scene, summoned the police, and began hauling them to the police station.

SDM accuses victim’s family of creating a nuisance

When the SDM took the family inside the police station, Pramila pleaded with him, claiming that their house had been wrecked and that they had nowhere to stay. She sought justice from SDM. SDM Janeshwar Prasad, however, showed no compassion to the family and instead filed an FIR against them, falsely accusing them of creating a ruckus.

In fact, earlier too, a separate complaint was filed against the victim’s family. Lekhpal Ashok Singh filed a complaint against Krishna Gopal Dixit and his son Shivam on January 13, when the victim’s family’s house in Madauli village was being demolished. Lekhapl had also written to the SDM against Krishna Gopal Dixit and his son.

In the letter to the SDM, Lekhpal Ashok Singh wrote, “On January 13, when the administration arrived to evacuate the illegal encroachment, Krishna Gopal and his sons Shivam and Ansh abused the officials and started fighting. They instigated the villagers to attack the government employees. They told the officials, ‘Run away from here, or the Bikru episode would be repeated.'”

Shivam files a complaint with Kanpur SP but to no avail

Shivam had filed a report with the Superintendent of Police about the death of his mother and sister. Shivam accused SDM Janeshwar Prasad, Kanungo, Lekhpal Ashok Singh, three other Lekhpals, and Rura police station in-charge Dinesh Gautam, as well as 12-15 men and women, of being responsible for his mother and sister’s murder.

According to Shivam’s FIR, on January 14, the SDM Janeshwar Prasad, Lekhpal Ashok Singh, Tehsildar, 12-15 police officers, and a JCB arrived at Krishna Gopal Dixit’s pucca house, where the family had been living for decades, on the basis of a complaint filed by one Ashok Dixit that the house was built on encroached land. Shivam went on to say that he had not received any prior information from the authorities advising him of the situation.

Shivam’s family contested the authorities’ arbitrary action against their pucca house. Facing protests, the authorities could only remove some construction. They returned warning Shivam and his family to vacate the area in the next 3-5 days.

Shivam stated that he went to the District Magistrate (DM) and Additional District Magistrate (ADM) offices on the same day to file a complaint, but no one listened to his request. Instead, the following day, authorities charged eight members of the Dixit family, including Pramila and Shivam, with rioting. The cops drove them away by threatening to imprison them if they did not withdraw their complaint.

Since they were now rendered homeless, Shivam and his father constructed a temporary shelter with mud and straw in the Madauli village and started living there. The family alleged that Lekhpal Ashok Singh once again approached them and demanded Rs 5,000. When the family refused to pay, the Lekhpal along with Maitha SDM Janeshwar Prasad and Rura police station SHO Dinesh Kumar Gautam reached their hut on February 13 at 3 pm with a JCB to demolish it. Ashok Dikshit, Anil Dikshit, and Nirmal Dikshit were also present at the scene.

Shivam went on to say that he and his family were resting inside the house and that 22 goats were also tied inside when the authorities proceeded to run a bulldozer over it without alerting them. He added that the enraged SDM demanded that Lekhpal set fire to their hut and the Lekhpal warned them that no one would be spared.

Police thrashed Shivam after he survived the fire

Shivam added that after he somehow managed to escape the blazing hut, SHO Dinesh Gautam and the police constables severely beat him up.

He added that his father Krishna Gopal Dixit also managed to escape the fire but got multiple burn injuries all over his body. 

Meanwhile, Shivam’s mother Pramila, and sister Neha got trapped beneath the roof that fell over them as a result of the fire.

Yogi Govt constitutes SIT to investigate the matter

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the constitution of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by the Kanpur divisional commissioner and assistant director general, Kanpur Zone, to investigate the murders of the mother-daughter duo during an eviction drive in Kanpur Dehat on February 13.

The DGP has constituted a five-person team led by Hardoi SP Rajesh Dwivedi. Together with him, members include CO Vikas Jaiswal, City Kotwal Sanjay Pandey, Crime Branch’s Ramesh Chandra, and Women’s Police Station in-charge Ramsukhari. In a week, the SIT will provide an interim report.

The state government has declared a Rs 10 lakh compensation and protection for the victim’s family.

“For the proper treatment of the injured sons, an assistance of Rs 5 lakh each (total Rs 10 lakh) has been provided to the family by the government,” an official spokesman said.

District Magistrate Neha Jain is not new to controversies

DM Neha Jain, who has been accused of ineptness by the family of deceased Pramila Dikshit and her 20-year-old daughter Neha, is no stranger to controversy. Devendra Singh Bhole, a BJP MP, had fiercely opposed Neha Jain’s conduct in the case where a businessman named Balwant Singh died in police custody on December 12, 2022. According to the MP, Neha Jain has no control over the administrative system.

Following the aforementioned incident, Jain was chastised when billboards placed throughout the city for the Kanpur Dehat Mahotsav lacked images of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Pratibha Shukla, the Minister of State at the time, criticised Neha Jain for her laxity.

Pratibha Shukla has also castigated DM Neha Jain claiming that, despite being a woman, she is incapable of delivering justice to another woman.

A dispute between two Dixit families lead to the mother and daughter’s death in Kanpur

It is being said that land was a cause of dispute between Krishna Gopal Dixit’s family and a second Dixit family, who is now accused in the case. Vishal Dixit, Gaurav Dixit and Ashok Dixit are the accused in the case.

The victim’s family owns two plots in the village. For decades, the victim’s family had been cultivating it. Two decades ago Pramila and her husband Krishna Gopal Dixit built a house and started living there.

Ashok Dixit had got a lease about ten years ago on the government land under his sister’s name by conniving with the government official responsible for arranging land deeds. The issue began when Ashok wanted to start construction on the land. Gopal Krishna Dixit’s family was in possession of a part of this government land for a long time. Now Ashok Dixit wanted to capture it.

As per the law, people who have a pucca house cannot live on the land of the village society. Ashok’s family used this to raise a complaint against Krishna Gopal’s family. They complained to the administration that Gopal Krishna’s family were illegally occupying the government land. Ashok’s family asked the authorities to remove Gopal Krishna’s family so they could make use of the entire area of the land they leased.

Palamu violence: 13 arrested, hundreds of known and unknown people named in 2 FIRs, only 5 Hindus and 4 Muslims allowed for Mahashivaratri and Namaaz

In the Palamu incident where Muslims indulged in violence over the installation of ‘toran dwar’ (welcome gates) by the Hindus ahead of Mahashivratri, the Jharkhand police have registered 2 separate FIRs naming 147 named people and around 500 unknown people. Police have so far arrested 13 of them. The situation is becoming normal before the festival, the Police said. On Wednesday, violence erupted over the issue which stones were pelted and houses were burnt.

The arrested persons include Nehal Ansari, Mobin Ansari, Mehboob Alam, Shahzad Alam, Zahid Ansari, Karan Kumar Singh, Roshan Kumar, Sumit Singh, Deepak Kumar Gupta, Ritesh Kumar Singh, Dhananjay Kumar Bhuiyan, Madan Ram, and Rajiullah Ansari. Among them, Nehal is a former head of Panki Paschim Panchayat.

Police conducted a flag march in the area to maintain law and order. Markets and schools closed remained closed. Around 1000 personnel of district police and paramilitary forces have been deployed in the area.

According to the reports, a meeting was held with a peace committee by IG Rajkumar Lakra, Deputy Commissioner A Dode and SP Chandan Sinha, to which people from both communities were invited. The police instructed the Mulsim community and said that only 4 persons would attend the Friday prayers at the mosque in Panki Bazar amid the imposition of sec 144 in the region.

On the other hand, the government told the Hindu side’s representatives that just five individuals, including the priest, would attend Mahashivratri rituals at the Nearby Pir Pahadi temple. Hindu participants in the peace committee discussions also urged that some stores be opened in honour of the Mahashivratri festival, but the administration instructed both groups to abide by section 144.

“Positive discussions were held with both groups. There was a good response from them. We are controlling the situation in a balanced manner. The situation will become normal in the next 1-2 days. 2 FIRs were filed while 11 have been arrested. 30-40 have been named,” confirmed Rajkumar Lakra, IG, Palamu.

“Section 144 will remain in force for a few days now. Internet service will also remain closed for 2 days,” he added. This is a day after the paamilitary forces staged a flag march in riot affected area to ensure safety and instill confidence in the minds of the people ahead of the Hindu festival.

The police said that both the communities during the peace committee agreed to abide by section 144. “Soon the situation will become normal and shops will also open. The Home Department has directed internet service to be suspended in the area till 10.30 am on February 19,” the police announced at the peace committee meeting.

Several people were injured in the violence after a Muslim mob attacked Hindus opposing decorations put up for the Mahashivaratri tomorrow. About 1 dozen people, including police officers, were injured during this altercation. The incident took place in the Panki Bazar area close to a mosque.

Local Hindus were building welcome gates at Bhagat Singh Chowk for Mahashivratri to be celebrated on February 18. The people of the Muslim community there opposed the construction of this gate, as per reports. At first, there was an argument between the two sides, which later turned into a clash and stone-pelting. On seeing this, people from both sides came to fight. An additional police force has also been deployed to control the situation. Locals have said that the attack on Hindus were directed from the nearby mosque.

Notably, Peace Committees are formed after communal violence in sensitive areas to resolve disputes within the communities. The goal of these committees is to provide a permanent, relevant framework that members of the community, the government, and others can relate to in times of conflict. When a Peace Committee is formed, it identifies itself as a body that will assist in mediating conflicts within the society.

Such committees have been formed earlier several times after the Jahangirpuri violence in April last year, after the anti-Hindu Khargone violence in Madhya Pradesh, after Shaheen bagh violence and also after the anti-CAA protests in 2019 at Jamia Milia Islamia in Delhi.

In the year 2008, the then Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta had written to the Chief Secretary conveying guidelines issued to the states based on the government order released in the year 1997. At that time, the Janata Dal-led government was at the centre under Inder Kumar Gujarat as Prime Minister, with Congress’s support from the outside.

The letter suggested that every town identified as communally sensitive should have a Peace Committee consisting of prominent citizens of all communities, representatives of political parties, public representative, office bearers of prominent associations/union.

Communal forces and anti-social elements should not be included in the Committee. At the time of apprehension of communal tension, meetings of the Peace Committee should always be called to discuss all matters relating to the communal tension. Efforts should be made to enlist the support of the members of the Committee for persuading the members of different communities to find an amicable settlement of the cause of tension and to defuse the situation,” the letter written by Gupta read.

The rules clearly stated that communal forces and anti-social elements need not attend such gatherings. The guidelines further suggested, “Women are the most affected group in communal tensions or riots. They can be effective in helping to defuse the communal tension and to prevent riots. As such, they should get fair representation in the membership of the Peace Committees/Integration Committee/Tripartite Committees.”

The Opposition in India, combined with its retinue of Leftist media, political wannabes and general Andolanjeevis, who were just beginning to hope that they will score big this time around and will manage to ‘defeat Modi’ with the Adani-Hindenberg issue, have just been left confused, again.

George Soros, the face of the global regime change machinery, has thought it prudent to gloat over the idea out in the open. A video of Soros saying the Adani issue will harm Modi politically is now viral and we cannot stop laughing.

For nearly 2 weeks now, the Indian Opposition parties tried to harp on the Adani issue, baselessly declaring that just because Adani has got richer and richer, and has developed a large (and successful) business empire in the last few years, there must be something fishy and wrong and as usual, “Let’s attack Modi” was there knee jerk response.

Congress has been crying hoarse saying “Adani Bad, Modi Bad” for years now, without realising that the whole country sees that their state governments have eagerly welcomed the same Adani for business in their respective states and that the new generation of Indians does not buy the idea of vilification of job creators.

Let me summarise the Congress line of thinking. They are upset because Adani became rich, Modi won the elections, and Congress lost. For them, that means Adani becoming rich and Congress losing must be connected, and since it is Modi who is winning, and as per Congress Modi should never win, Adani and Modi must be helping each other to make Congress lose, which is very bad again. So to counter Modi, Adani should be besmirched too.

Sounds utterly moronic and non-sensical? Well, that is Congress’ politics for you. They are never going to believe that their own blunders are dragging them down. They are never going to question their own leadership, they are just going to assume that Rahul Gandhi deserves the PM’s post by default and that anyone else winning elections is ‘bad behaviour’ of the unwashed masses.

Other Opposition leaders, like the screeching, foul-mouthed, China-made version of AOC that we have to endure every parliament season, have been hoping that the Hindenburg report will harm Adani, and somehow it will dent Modi’s armour. If they haven’t learned by now, even after a dozen similar attempts, it only shows why it is Modi who wins, and not them.

In his enthusiasm, the BRS chief even blurted out that he has been lobbying for Pfizer, and it was Modi who stood between India and a very powerful global pharma giant that is now accused of manipulating data, twisting government policies and hiding results to sell its dubious vaccines.

The global Left-Liberal cabal nurtures a very wide range of mediocre charlatans who write long op-eds, running smear campaigns against elected governments and powerful nations, telling brown Indians that what they think of as democracy is not actual democracy, because it does not serve the White masters of the West. The same cabal has been harping on about the Hindenburg issue too, wondering why is it that the economy of India hasn’t collapsed yet.

We have seen similar desperate efforts earlier. The outrage over the Rafale deal, the Pegasus issue, the farmer protests, the foreign policy muscle flexing and many more. One would think that the Opposition leaders in India should have figured out by now that each time they highlight, “Look, even foreign powers are criticising Modi”, they hand over a few million more votes to Modi.

The same is going to happen in the Adani-Hindenburg issue. Now that the regime change Voldemort has indirectly declared that (he hopes) Modi will have to answer on the Adani issue in the parliament and that will somehow weaken his political prospects, every Indian with an iota of reasoning will see that there is a foreign power trying to meddle in Indian politics, telling India that the leader they have elected is ‘not correct’ and they will have to elect another one get a ‘good job, brown people’ nod from the West, Modi has just gained a few million more votes.

If there are some intelligent people left in the opposition camp, they will be seeing it clearly that Soros has just made the Indian Opposition look like a bunch of foreign-funded puppets. But sadly, considering the absolute state of the Indian Opposition parties, they are just busy being clueless, headless, perpetually whining outrage seekers who have made it very easy for the BJP to continue winning.

As some people have already pointed out on social media, maybe Soros could not help himself. He became so impatient over his incompetent minions not delivering results fast enough that he had to just come out and declare his intent. Or maybe he is believing the same unrealistic op-eds written by self-proclaimed experts that his NGO network has spawned, that Modi is ‘bad democracy’ and only a Soros-approved, NATO-stamped, rainbow flag-waving puppet will be the ideal leader for the Indian people.

Soros’ statements have just validated the theories that the attack on Adani may have been a part of a larger plan to attack India’s economic and strategic prospects.

Soros, and the general Western Left-liberal ‘intelligentsia’, along with their army of useful native idiots, have been trying to convince Indians that they should vote as told by foreign forces, not as per their own choices.

See, that is not how a democracy works. Indians have voted Modi to power, twice, with an overwhelming mandate and Indians are not going to take orders from the West, not anymore. It is the same India that looks the West in the face and says “No, we will not take your orders. We will buy Russian oil because it suits our interests”. It is the same India that does not bow down to Pfizer’s lobby. It is the same India that welcomes business and growth but says no to blind warmongering. The more Soros and his swarm of rainbow-tinted wokes try to tell Indians that they are not ‘democratic’ enough, the more votes the ‘Nationalists’ are going to get.

Because the West’s moral and strategic hollowness is now more visible than ever before. The war in Ukraine, the chaos in the US elections, and the abject misery in each country where the Western war machine has tried to ‘bring democracy’ are for all to see. So basically, it is Modi 1 and Soros 0.

Samajwadi Party suspends two women leaders who had opposed the burning of Ramcharitmanas, earlier, the duo was abused by SP leaders

On Thursday (February 16) night, the Samajwadi party suspended two women leaders on account of opposing the desecration and burning of the sacred Hindu text ‘Ramcharitmanas.’

In a tweet, the caste-based party said, “Smt. Roli Tiwari Mishra and Smt. Richa Singh are being suspended from the Samajwadi Party.”

While reacting to the development, former Samajwadi Party leader Dr Richa Singh wrote, “They will visit the office of DGP in support of miscreants using misogynist language but would remove women from the party who support Ramcharitmanas. All hail Samajwad (socialism).”

Dr Roli Tiwari Mishra, who was also suspended from the Samajwadi Party, took to Twitter to express her angst.

“Thanks for the gift for 16 years of dedication to the party, Akhilesh Yadav. I will keep raising my voice against traitors of the nation, Dharma and Lord Ram like I used to do before,” she said.

Dr Roli Tiwari Mishra emphasised, “I embrace 1000 such suspensions for upholding the dignity and reverence of Sanatan Dharma, Lord Ram and Ramcharitmanas.”

The Background of the Controversy

Last month, Samajwadi Party MLC Swami Prasad Maurya and nine others were booked for instigating people to burn the pages of the Ramcharitmanas written by poet and saint Tulsidas in the Vrindavan Yojana of the PGI Kotwali area of Lucknow. 

Maurya, while speaking to a news channel on January 22 claimed that certain portions of the Ramcharitmanas “insult” a large section of society on the basis of caste and demanded that these be “banned”.

He said that the book was written by Tulsidas for his own pleasure and that it promoted social discrimination and hatred. Later on January 27, he also called Hindu seers ‘Aatanki’, ‘Mahashaitan’, and ‘Jallad’.

On January 29, Akhil Bharatiya OBC Mahasabha burnt the copies of Ramcharitmanas written by poet and saint Tulsidas in the Vrindavan Yojana of the PGI Kotwali area of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

The OBC Mahasabha members announced their support to Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya who stirred controversy by saying that the Ramcharitmanas should be banned.

Dr Roli Tiwari Mishra and Dr Richa Singh had openly raised their voices against party MLC Swami Prasad Maurya for instigating people burn the pages of Hindu scripture. However, the duo was abused by SP leaders before being formally ousted from the party.

BCCI Chief Selector Chetan Sharma resigns after damming sting operation: Details

On Friday (February 17), the Chief Selector of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Chetan Sharma, tendered his resignation from his post.

As per news agency ANI, Sharma handed over the resignation letter to BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, who accepted the former’s decision to step down.

The development comes three days after he was caught making damming revelations about top Indian players in a sting operation, conducted by Zee News.

In the sting operation, Chetan Sharma alleged that Virat Kohli “lied” that the then BCCI president Sourav Ganguly did not attempt to discourage him from resigning as T20 captain.

He claimed, “Any row between player and BCCI President is dangerous as it becomes players vs BCCI. Who is wrong is judged later, but it becomes an attack on BCCI directly. All players are warned that the harm from such things will come to players only.”

Chetan Sharma added, “Virat Kohli felt he lost the captaincy because of BCCI President. There were 9 people in the selection committee video conference, Ganguly may have told him ‘think about it once’. I think Kohli didn’t hear it, there were 9 others there including myself and all other selectors.”

While talking about players taking injections for fitness, Chetan Sharma claimed, “Indian Cricket Team players take injections & get 100% fit even if they’re 80% fit. These are not painkillers. These injections contain Drugs which aren’t caught in Dope Test.”

He further added that some star players are given a green signal from the NCA even when they are not fully fit, and then it gets onto the selectors to make a final call on the selection.

On Thursday,  February 16, Bollywood entertainer and Left-wing activist Swara Bhasker announced that she has got married to Samajwadi Party leader Fahad Ahmad. Wishes started pouring in from her followers and well-wishers. However, a Chicago-based Islamic scholar Mufti Yasir Nadeem Al Wajidi denounced the marriage of Swara and Fahad as ‘Islamically invalid’ since Swara Bhasker is a ‘polytheistic woman’. 

He also backed his claim with a verse from the Quran. It is notable that Swara and Fahad’s wedding was filed with the court on 6th January 2023 under the special marriage act. Mufti Yasir also slammed liberal Muslims for interpreting Quran as per the convenience of their theology.

A tweet by Mufti Yasir read, “If #SwaraBhasker is not Muslim and her “supposed” husband is Muslim, this marriage is not Islamically valid.  Allah says, do not to marry polytheistic women until they believe. 2:221. If she accepts Islam only for the sake of marriage, it is not accepted by Allah.

This tweet, however, did not go well with liberals like RJ Sayema who called out the Mufti over his tweet. Sayema shared a screen grab of the Mufti’s tweet and wrote “Buzz off!”

Mufti Yasir was, however, quick to respond and say that Sayema is ‘infected with the disease of Liberalism’ he also said that Sayema despite saying ‘buzz off’ to Quran will still be associated with Islam merely due to her name. 

“Just spotted an infected with liberalism disease. She said, buzz off, to the Quran. Yet, she will be associated with Islam because of her name,” Mufti Yasir Nadeem tweeted.

The argument did not end here as Sayema asked Mufti Yasir if he is judged appointed by Allah and also advised him to give his opinion only when asked.

“And who are you? Someone designated by Allah to judge others? We are answerable to Allah and only to Allah. To each his own. Till someone asks for your opinion, keep to yourself. And be a good Muslim,” Sayema tweeted.

Responding to Sayema’s tweet, Mufti Yasir said that he is the person most hated by the liberals and he exposes the misinterpretation of Islam by people like Sayema.

“I’m a person who liberals like you hate the most. I am a person who frequently exposes the false interpretation of Islam by likes of you. I am a person who will speak up when RJ’s start interpreting Islam. You keep yourself to entertainment business and leave Islam for experts,” Mufti tweeted. 

Mufti Yasir in response to a tweet by a Twitter user who goes by the name ‘Mr Reaction Wala’ who wrote that “we live in India, not an Islamic country, so Kindly preach this in Saudi Arabia”, Mufti Yasir said that “Islam is not only for Saudi Arabia and that living in India does not mean that one does not practice Islam.”

In a separate tweet, Mufti Yasir Nadeem Al Wajidi slammed the Muslims celebrating Swara Bhasker’s marriage with a Muslim man, saying that they have ‘germs of liberalism’ and that they must be disinfected. 

“Those who are celebrating the marriage of #swarabhaskar (who is, according to my knowledge, not Muslim) with a man with a Muslim name have germs of liberalism. Disinfection is must. Legally they are free to do whatever they want. As Muslims, there is nothing to be happy about,” Mufti tweeted.

Mahashivratri, which essentially translates to ‘the great night of Shiva’, is considered one of the most auspicious festivals in the country.

On the same occasion, as many as 21 lakh earthen lamps will be lit on various ghats of the Shipra river on Mahashivratri tomorrow. “We will try to create a world record by lighting 21 lakh earthen lamps. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also attend the event,” said State Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday.

It is celebrated annually with much fervour and excitement across India. This year Mahashivratri will be observed on February 18, 2023. So, get ready to hear ‘Har Har Mahadev chants on this day.

It’s believed that while there is a Shivratri every lunisolar month of the Hindu calendar, the Mahashivratri, happens only once every year, in February/March, when winter comes to an end and spring and summer begin.

Out of the 12 Shivratris observed in any given year, Mahashivratri is considered especially auspicious, as it is supposed to be the night of convergence of Shiva and Shakti, which in essence means the male and feminine energies that keep the world in balance. Shiva and Shakti are revered as the embodiment of love, power, and oneness.

To protect the entire world from the evil effects, Shiva drank the entire poison and held it in his throat instead of swallowing it. Due to this, his throat became blue and hence he came to be known as Neelakantha.

Every state in the nation, including Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh or Telangana, celebrates Mahashivratri.

Shiva devotees undergo a 24-hour fast that is broken the next morning. Mahashivratri Puja, in contrast to many other festivals, is performed at night.

Devotees consume satvik foods like ragi, sabudana, fruits, and vegetables during the fast.

On Thursday (February 16), Hungarian-American billionaire George Soros accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of crony capitalism after claiming that the latter has a good relationship with Indian businessman Gautam Adani.

“Modi and business tycoon Adani are close allies. Their fate is intertwined,” Soros said. He made the contentious remarks at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Germany ahead of the Munich Security Conference

“Adani Enterprises tried to raise funds in the stock market, but he failed. Adani is accused of stock manipulation and his stock collapsed like a house of cards,” the American billionaire alleged.

George Soros further accused the Indian Prime Minister of being complicit in the supposed ‘misdealings’ of the Adani Group. “Modi is silent on the subject, but he will have to answer questions from foreign investors and in parliament,” Soros was heard as saying.

He also claimed that the ‘shakedown’ caused to the Indian markets due to the Hindenburg Research report will result in ‘much needed institutional reforms’ and ‘democratic revival’. Soros also alleged that so-called anti-Muslim violence in India has spearheaded the ‘meteoric rise’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The development comes three weeks after US-based investment research firm Hindenburg Research published a 32,000-word report, accusing the Adani Group of stock manipulation and use of tax havens.

The Adani Group trashed the Hindenburg Research report as a “malicious combination of selective misinformation and stale, baseless and discredited allegations”. On January 29, the Indian conglomerate slammed Hindenburg Research with a 413-page report, dismissing allegations levelled by the latter. 

However, this did not stop George Soros from casting aspersions about the integrity of PM Modi and insinuating collusion between the government and the Adani group.

When George Soros pledged $1 billion to fight nationalists

In January 2020, the American billionaire committed $1 billion to start a global university to “fight nationalists” and climate change, calling them twin challenges that threaten the survival of our civilization.

While speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Soros pledged to fund a university project to battle the erosion of civil society in a world increasingly ruled by “would-be and actual dictators” and climate change.

Soros also claimed that the “biggest and most frightening setback” was in India, as he accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “creating a Hindu nationalist state.”

He had claimed, “The biggest and most frightening setback occurred in India where a democratically elected Narendra Modi is creating a Hindu nationalist state, imposing punitive measures on Kashmir, a semi-autonomous Muslim region, and threatening to deprive millions of Muslims of their citizenship”.

George Soros, through his Open Society Foundation, which started its operations in India first in 1999 by offering scholarships and fellowships to pursue studies and research at Indian institutions, Soros has made great strides in creating disorder within India. In the name of running philanthropic activities, the left-wing international organisation led by Soros has begun to spread its tentacles across the country by his active support to anti-India elements operating inside India. 

In the last few decades, George Soros has time and again has shown his desperation to wage war against the nationalist government in India through various networks funded by him comprising of NGOs, media, intelligentsia, etc. 

Regarding his philanthropy work, Soros’s OSF grasped a stronghold in India during the Obama regime. Ever since its entry into India, OSF has tried to interlope in the internal affairs of the nation through the vast and interconnected network of organisations funded by George Soros. These organisations play a vital role in manipulating the original narrative and take the help of the judiciary and media to hinder the national interest.

In 2008, the Soros Economic Development Fund (SEDF) joined hands with Omidyar Network, the Indian School of Business (ISB) and Google.org to launch their 17 million SONG fund to boost investment. Together with other networks, Soros has provided extensive grants to media running into millions to manipulate political narratives.

On 15th February 2023, a Muslim mob indulged in violence over the installation of welcome gates by Hindus ahead of Mahashivaratri in Palamu of Jharkhand. It was opposed by Muslims who said the welcome gates could not be installed in front of the mosque. The Muslim mob not only pelted stones from the mosques but committed arson. After indulging in violence against Hindus, Muslims are now attempting to play the victim.

After the violence against Hindus, Hyderabad MP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi proceeded to dog whistle and paint the perpetrators as the victims. “Stones were hurled at the mosque and two houses and some vehicles were burnt”, he said. However, in reality, it was a Hindu who was first hit in the head and then stone pelting took place from the mosque.

Asaduddin Owaisi didn’t stop here. He said that the welcome gate should not have been built in front of the mosque. He blamed the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for it, saying the rioters and the Sangh Parivar won. Interestingly, while the blamed the victims, the Hindus, he also justified the violence by the Muslim mob by saying that the Mahashivratri celebrations should not have taken place in front of the mosque.

Efforts are also being made to prove Muslims as victims on social media. A so-called journalist named Mir Faisal shared a video and said that Hindutva goons burnt the houses and shops of Muslims and set their vehicles on fire.

In the kind of narrative being created about the Palamu violence, an attempt is being made to prove Muslims as victims, and Hindus – who are actually victims – as goons. It is being clearly said in the media report that Hindus of Panki in Palamu were preparing for Mahashivratri. During this time they built a welcome gate on the square. The mosque is located near the square.

Locals say that this mosque, known as Jama Masjid, has been built with the help of Hindus. Locals say that this mosque is not very old nor is there much of a population of Muslims in the surrounding area. The area where the mosque has been built is Hindu-dominated.

After the construction of the welcome gate, some Muslims came out of the mosque and asked to dismantle this gate. They said that there is a mosque nearby and a welcome gate can not be built near the mosque. The Hindu side did not agree to this and said that they are building the welcome gates on the road, which is government property.

After this, the Muslim side started the violence. On Wednesday, 14 February 2023, a Muslim hit a Hindu named Niranjan Singh on the head with a stick. Niranjan Singh was seriously injured in this attack. Police were present at the time of the attack. It is said that after this, stones were pelted at Hindus from the mosque.

During this time, the rioters set fire to 4 houses, 3 shops, 1 car, and 2 bikes. Apart from this, 4 vehicles were also vandalized. Eight people, including Leslieganj SDPO Alok Kumar Tuti and Panki police station’s inspector Arun Mahtha, were seriously injured in the attack.

Manjulata Dubey – a BJP leader from Panki – said that Hindu programs are always disrupted from the mosque. Locals say that people associated with the mosque committee often create disputes in and around the market and then beat them up.

Panki-based social activist Kamlesh Singh said petrol bombs and stones were being thrown at Hindus from the roof of the mosque. Kamlesh Singh told OpIndia, “Neither it was Friday nor there is so much Muslim population in that area, nor the incident took place at the time of Namaz or any other program. Then where did such a crowd of attackers come from?” He said that this was a well-planned attack.

Kamlesh Singh described the incident in Panki Bazar as a trial of Ghazwa-e-Hind. He said that fundamentalists are weighing their strengths all over the country and preparing for where there is a shortage. Manjulata told OpIndia that she was once detained by the police on August 14 just because she was marking a place at the square to hoist the national flag. However, she was later released.

In fact, due to Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren’s policies of Muslim appeasement, the state is becoming a refuge for illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingyas. With the incidents of love jihad and land jihad, the killing of Hindus has become common here. In many places, tribals and Dalits have to flee due to persecution by Muslims. Hindus are struggling to celebrate their festival.

Attacks by Muslims on Hindu festivals have become common in Jharkhand. Due to Hemant Soren’s appeasement policy, section 144 has been imposed in the entire Deoghar city on the day of Mahashivratri. Not only this, the administration has banned the route fixed by the Mahashivaratri Committee for the Shiv Barat procession. The district administration has given permission to organize the Shiv Barat procession from the old route.

In August last year, people belonging to the Mahadalit Musahar caste were attacked and their houses vandalized by a mob in Murumatu village under the Pandu police station area of Jharkhand. More than one and a half dozen houses and huts of these Musahars settled near Tongri hill were demolished. Not only this, but in order to occupy these places, the Muslims, after demolishing the house, loaded their belongings on two vehicles and left them in the forest near Loto village of Chhatarpur.

Similarly, on February 6, 2022, a Hindu child was lynched by a mob of Muslims during Saraswati Puja in Hazaribagh of Jharkhand. Actually, the children were going to perform the visarjan rituals after Saraswati Puja. Muslim youths stopped the Hindu boys near Lakhna Dulmaha Imambara in Naitand village of Barhi police station. After this, there was a fight between the two sides. The Muslim youth kept beating Rupesh Kumar till he fell unconscious. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
