IndiGo bans Kunal Kamra for unruly behaviour, Union Minister asks other airlines to extend the ban on the bully

Taking cognisance of Kamra’s boorish behaviour with a fellow passenger, Republic TV’s Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, Indigo Airlines has now put him on a No Fly List. In a tweet, the airlines informed that they had suspended Kunal Kamra from flying with IndiGo for a period of six months, citing his unacceptable behaviour.

Tagging Civil Ministry and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, the official Twitter handle of Indigo airline posted a tweet saying, “In light of the recent incident on board 6E 5317 from Mumbai to Lucknow, we wish to inform that we are suspending Mr Kunal Kamra from flying with IndiGo for a period of six months, as his conduct onboard was unacceptable behaviour”.

In a subsequent tweet, Indigo airlines asked its passengers to refrain from indulging in besmirching others onboard as it could pose a security threat for other passengers.

Taking note of the above, Union Minister for Civil Aviation (I/C) Hardeep S Puri advised other airlines to impose similar restrictions on Kamra.

Earlier today, Kamra uploaded a video in which he can be heard heckling Arnab and asking him about how he could discuss Rohit Vemula’s caste. He also told Arnab to answer since he supports Rahul Gandhi and is a part of the ‘Tukde Tukde Gang’. The video ends with Kunal Kamra calling Arnab Goswami a ‘Nationalist’ as if trying to imply that being one is akin to abuse.

Rahul Gandhi relaunch: The familiar move that may spell a bigger doom for the Congress party

If sources are believed, after almost 7 months of sabbatical, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is all set to once again assume the mantle of Presidentship of the oldest political party of India. Plans are reportedly underway to reinstate him back to the position of Congress president as the Gandhi scion launched a blistering attack against the BJP in Jaipur today.

However, Rahul’s trenchant criticism of the saffron party was filled with the same old trite assertions and worn-out accusations that were manifestly rejected by the people in the 2019 General elections. But Rahul ploughed on stating that an 8-year-old could also tell that the demonetisation was harmful.

Read- The fall and fall of Rahul Gandhi

In fact, Rahul kept repeating his past mistakes as he proceeded to politicise rape incidents in India and tarnish the country’s image by calling it “rape capital of world”. “The reputation & image that India had in the world was that it is a country of brotherhood, love & unity, while Pakistan was known for hatred and divisiveness. This image of India has been damaged by Narendra Modi. Today, India is considered as rape capital of the world,” Gandhi said.

Perhaps, Rahul’s latest assertions betray that even 7 months of furlough is not enough for him to reflect upon his past follies and refrain himself from committing them again. In fact, if anything today’s speech by Rahul Gandhi reinforces is that far from course-correcting as per the requirements, the sabbaticals have only emboldened his convictions, only to be subdued later with a string of electoral failures. Rahul’s obduracy to learn from the failures and alter his narrative accordingly has added to the woes of the Congress party.

One of the crisises that Congress is facing with regards to acceptance of a 5th generation dynast like Gandhi as the party’s chief is his own credibility that has taken a severe thrashing ever since he appeared in the Indian political landscape. While Congress’ historical ubiquity and its hidebound tradition of servitude towards Gandhis has ensured that Rahul Gandhi remains relevant in the Indian politics, but the very same attributes have also played a pivotal role in Rahul’s stunted political growth, notwithstanding his own diminished ability to draw lessons from the setbacks and correspondingly make amends to it.

Congress has also heavily relied on the opposition to orchestrate Rahul’s comeback. It has been woefully reactive in setting the agenda and has always played the catching-up game with the agile BJP, in which it failed inevitably. Even today, the growing clamour of Rahul Gandhi’s return as the party president is on the back of anti-CAA protests in country. The Congress party is simply hoping to ride on the resentment wave generated in certain sections of the society following the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act and somehow salvage Rahul’s battered credentials. However, until Rahul radically upends his approach, it is anybody’s guess what this return will culminate into.

Into the Islamist’s mind: The role of educated Muslims in Sharjeel Imam’s ‘Plan of Action’

Sharjeel Imam, the mastermind of the Shaheen Bagh protest, has been arrested from Bihar’s Jehanabad by the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police. The Islamist, who had called for cutting North East India from the rest of the country, had been absconding for four days as cases were filed across five states of India. But the support he has received from certain quarters is evidence enough of the fact that his opinions are popular among significant sections of the Indian populace.

In an earlier report, we had elaborated greatly on Sharjeel’s ideology and the foundations of his worldview. In this report, we shall look at the manner in which the Shaheen Bagh protests fit perfectly with his plan of action and other deeply problematic aspects of his belief system. We will primarily focus on the thirty-second day of the AMU protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act, the National Register of Citizens and the National Population Register. Before we get into his plan of action, which is the really troubling part, we shall address some other problematic aspects of his worldview.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkoiaxnbXcw]

According to Sharjeel Imam, there is no compromise required on the issue of cow slaughter between Hindus and Muslims. Furthermore, he blames the Muslim religious leaders who supported GauRaksha in the pre-independence era for the cow vigilantism that is witnessed today as a response to cattle smuggling. He said, “GauRaksha made an entry in India during the Khilafat Movement when Maulanas said that help us in the Khilafat, we will help with GauRaksha. It was said due to the pressure from the Musharik that cow slaughter should be abandoned.”

Musharik here refers to the ‘Kaafir idolators’, that is, the Hindus. Sharjeel Imam said that Muslims like Maulana Azad supported GauRaksha which has today become ‘poison’ for the Muslim community. He said that beef is the only food that a Muslim doesn’t get bored of. In the same speech, Sharjeel Imam also speaks of Hindu priests in a derogatory manner and claims that the daily Namaz for a Muslim is a matter of ‘Awaam’ whereas there’s no such concept among Hindus who have some ‘Pandit’ sitting somewhere praying for them.

It is evident from Sharjeel Imam’s words that he doesn’t believe Muslims need to compromise with Hindus in any manner whatsoever and he condemns those Muslims who try to negotiate with Hindus in order to achieve a particular target. A conclusion that can be drawn from here is the fact that he does not believe all manners of compromise between Hindus and Muslims is undesirable. Muslims must refuse to compromise with Hindus in any manner and for Sharjeel Imam, it is their way or the highway.

There is one thing that Sharjeel needs to be corrected about in his interpretation of history. ‘GauRaksha’ did not enter India in the 1920s. Cows have been sacred to Hindus since eternity and Hindu monarchs have always gone to great lengths to protect and secure the welfare of cows. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, for instance, was bestowed with the title of ‘Gau-Brahmin Pratipalak’.

Sharjeel Imam appears to hold a special grouse in his heart for the students of Jamia Millia Islamia University and the Jawaharlal Nehru University. He says that they haven’t contributed much to the protests that are underway in Delhi. He is also not fond of the tactics that the students of Jamia have been using which he ridiculed during his speech. According to him, they have spent too much time in gathering in a bunch of 20 and holding a couple of placards for the past too many days. He says, “Who are they showing these to? The same people who have been crossing their path every day. Is there any benefit to this?”

It is then that he truly reveals his nefarious plans for mass mobilization. There are seventeen thousand students in the University, he says, if even five thousand of them spread across Delhi, the national capital will come to a halt. “Every guy who is a scholar, says I don’t need money or votes, fifty people will gather behind him instantly the situation as it is now. This is the situation, you just need to stand in the streets.”

Sharjeel continued, “Wherever I go in Delhi, I meet a shopkeeper and tell him I am from JNU and a Musalmaan, then one person sits, then two, then fifteen and soon enough, thirty people will gather around me, only to listen to me. If you are a scholar, then your duty is on the streets, not here. You have studied, now it is your duty to educate the ‘Awaam’.” For all these reasons, he says, he did not like the protests the students at Jamia were leading. According to him, they had no plan of action.

“We are scholars, we have the energy, we can run, we can tolerate two-four lathis, we can take a couple of teargas, we can create pamphlets, edit videos,” he says before continuing, “We can go door to door and argue with people, the common man cannot do it. The common man does not even know what he has to say.” He says that one of the main things that scholars must do is create a ‘plan of action’.

Sharjeel Imam’s plan for the future becomes evident during this part of the speech which is towards the end of it. He lays out an elaborate plan to make the state bow down to the Muslim community. He makes it clear that it is not a fight between the Congress party or the BJP but one between the Muslim community and the Indian State. He is careful enough to add ‘other oppressed minorities’ but when the speech is viewed in its entirety, the meaning of his words is quite clear.

“We blocked the highway in Delhi. There are four major highways from Delhi to UP. We have blocked one so there’s already great pressure on the other three. If we block one more, toh haalat inki kharab ho jaayegi. And if the DND (the Delhi-Noida-Delhi road) is blocked someday, toh mazaa hi aa jaayega,” he said, at the end of of which he received a round of applause. Sharjeel Imam goes to the extent of saying that the DND should be targeted during peak hours so that even if the Police come, it can be blocked for a couple of days.

During his speech, Sharjeel Imam also says that an ‘intellectual cell’ has been created which he asks the students gathered to join. He says that as many as a hundred, or maybe even two hundred or three, have already joined the ranks to form a team that would work along these lines. He concludes his speech by saying that ‘We have the strength to bring Hindustan to a halt’.

There is a need to break down his speech so that the larger narrative does not get lost in the details. Some people, the usual suspects, would claim that Sharjeel Imam is speaking of democratic protests here but it is really is defending the indefensible. It’s quite clear that he is attempting to replicate the Khilafat Movement but this time, without any support from Hindus and without any compromise with Hindus in manner. Sharjeel’s speech here needs to be seen in conjunction with his eulogy of Mohammed Ali Jinnah. When seen in the light of his adulation of Jinnah, it becomes obvious that he wishes to engage in the politics of mass mobilization not to strengthen democratic politics but to secure the victory of Radical Islam within the territory of India.

It is also quite clear that Sharjeel Imam places a great deal of importance on demography. During his speech, he makes a great deal of Muslims being present in large numbers in Urban India. According to him, this strength can be used to bring the entire country to a halt. He is of the opinion that should Urban Muslims create blockades across the country, then the State will be forced to negotiate. Thus, those who wish to paint it as mere ‘democratic protests’ must also admit that Sharjeel Imam wishes to engage in the politics of mass mobilization in order to achieve explicit Islamist objectives.

Sharjeel Imam also has full clarity on the fact that the ‘protesters’ will have to suffer some violence at the hands of the state. He can be seen saying in a matter-of-fact tone that scholars can tolerate a few lathis and tear gas shells. He says this so casually because he is perfectly aware that the state will be forced to take action to disperse the protesters because the country cannot be allowed to be brought to a halt indefinitely and the state will not be willing to negotiate without using other means at its disposal.

Therefore, it appears that Sharjeel Imam has made the calculation in his mind that although Muslims will have to suffer some violence for a relative amount of time, the state cannot afford to maintain a hardline stance for long. It will be forced to negotiate and that is when the Muslim community will earn its victory. Of course, the Islamist here is borrowing from the conventional wisdom that mandates that a democratic state, more often than not, ultimately bows down to the will of the intolerant minority.

It is also quite clear in Sharjeel Imam’s mind as to what the role of the educated Muslims ought to be in this country. According to him, they must lead the Muslim community in securing their interests. He also believes that it is only the educated Muslim class that can take care of Muslim interests. It is the duty of the educated Muslim youth, he believes, to lead the Muslim community in the pursuit of the victory of Islam.

From this perspective, it is easy to understand why Sharjeel Imam adores Jinnah so much. According to him, Jinnah is precisely what the Muslim community of India currently needs. It might not be farfetched to say that Jinnah is quite possibly his role model, an educated Muslim man who worked towards securing the victory of his Qaum by adopting tactics that were most suited for strategic victories.

As a student of Modern Indian History, he has obviously studied the role played by the Aligarh Muslim University towards the creation of Pakistan. It is only to be expected that he is perfectly aware of the role played by the Muslim intellectuals in the creation of Pakistan. We can safely speculate here that he considers the creation of Pakistan a great victory for Islam and believes the students of the said Universities should take play the same role as his ideological predecessors did during the first half of the 20th century.

Sharjeel Imam’s aversion towards the Left is understandable considering all of this. He does not wish to repeat, it appears, what he considers the mistakes of the Muslim leaders of yesteryears who made compromises in certain areas with Hindus in order to achieve certain objectives. He does not believe in compromises and is of the opinion that Muslims have the requisite strength to bring the whole of India to a halt and Leftists do not add to it their strength in any significant manner. In his eyes, it appears, Muslims are the dominant partner in the alliance that the Leftists are trying to build, therefore, it doesn’t make sense to him as to why Leftists should be the ones setting the terms.

Read: “An enemy community was foisted upon the Muslims after Independence”: Shaheen Bagh mastermind Sharjeel Imam reveals real-agenda behind CAA protests

There is deep resentment in Sharjeel Imam’s mind regarding the secularization of Muslim leaders. For instance, he was troubled enough by the secularization of Faiz Ahmed Faiz to write an entire article on why he was a very Islamic poet. He is also troubled by the fact that Leftists want to maintain the pretense of inclusiveness while denying space to ‘la ilaha illallah’ which is what the Muslims want, according to him.

Thus, given everything that we know about Sharjeel Imam, there is an indelible mark of him in the Shaheen Bagh protests. Furthermore, it needs to be investigated whether there was any collusion between the Jamia ‘sheroes’ who gave a call for Jihad and glorified genocidal maniacs of the Moplah Massacres. The role of the media also needs to be investigated in the whole series of affairs.

The path that Sharjeel Imam advocates will inevitably lead to a civil war. It would come as a huge surprise if he himself wasn’t aware that he is paving the path towards one. It is in this light that his call for cutting off the North East from the rest of India ought to be seen. He is surely aware of the importance of the Chicken’s Neck for Indian National Security. It is quite likely also the reason why he advocated for the Chicken’s Neck to be targeted.

The Indian State is the enemy, according to him, and therefore, it should be struck at the point it is the weakest. One has to be extremely naive to believe that Sharjeel Imam’s plan for the Chicken’s Neck was merely democratic protests and not a call for war. Nevertheless, it is extremely unlikely that things would have gone the way he expected them to go given the high-security priorities of the region.

Nitish Kumar reveals that Prashant Kishor was inducted into JD(U) on the recommendation of Amit Shah

After JDU leader Pavan Kumar’s letter to Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on the issue of CAA and also over tie-up in Delhi with the BJP received flak from the party chief, a fresh turmoil was caused in the ruling JD(U)-BJP alliance in Bihar when the party’s vice president Prashant Kishor took to Twitter to make sharp attacks on union home minister Amit Shah over his Shaheen Bagh remark during a rally for Delhi elections. Now Nitish Kumar has made a sensational revelation that Prashant Kishor was inducted into the JD(U) on the recommendations of Amit Shah.

After a meeting with party leaders and lawmakers this afternoon, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today blasted at party’s vice president, Prashant Kishor. The CM asserted that it was only because of Amit Shah’s suggestion that Kishor was inducted in JD(U). He said: “Rahega to theek, nahi rahega to theek. (If he stays, it’s ok. If he goes, it’s ok).”

Angered by his party’s senior member’s ignominious remarks, Bihar Chief Minister and JDU supremo Nitish Kumar, today virtually showed doors to the nitpickers within the party. Without taking any names the JD(U) supremo today lambasted: Someone wrote a letter I replied to it, someone is tweeting, let him tweet. What do I’ve to do with it? One can stay in the party (JD-U) till he wants, he can go if he wants…Do you know how did he join the party? Amit Shah asked me to induct him.

Janata Dal (United), an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party, had voted in favour of the Citizenship Amendment Act in Parliament last month. However, the election strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor who was inducted into the Janata Dal-United (JD-U) more than a year ago and made the party’s national vice-president weeks later has time and again targeted the Modi government over the Citizenship Act and other issues.

Now he has hit out at Amit Shah over his remarks against the ongoing Shaheen Bagh protest.

Amit Shah had said on Sunday that Delhi should vote for BJP in such huge numbers that all Shaheen Bagh-like protests are given a strong message. “When you press the button (of EVM) on February 8, do so with such anger that its current (poll result) is felt at Shaheen Bagh,” the BJP leader said.

Read- Prashant Kishor: Here is why this one man has India’s political class enslaved

A day after this remark, ally JDU’s Prashant Kishor took a dig at the Home Minister by tweeting that button will be pressed with love so that the social harmony is not disturbed.

Targeting BJP leader Amit Shah’s comment, Prashant Kishor has said, “On February 8, the EVM button in Delhi will be pressed with love. Jolts like this should always be dealt softly so that social harmony and brotherhood are never disturbed.” Although Kishhor didn’t mention anynay, it was clear who he was referring to.

Since the CAA was passed by the Parliament, the group of protesters mostly comprising of Mulsim women blocked a road in Kalindi Kunj area that connects Faridabad- New Delhi- Noida. This has led to traffic inconvenience, increasing travel time from 20 minutes to several hours.

It is pertinent to note here that in just a week, many incidents have surfaced which laid the secessionist agenda of the ultra-left wing protestors at Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh area exposed. It is now sufficiently clear that this protest, like all other anti-CAA riots, is nothing more than another typical left-wing organised blatant communal event where protestors are openly batting for secession from India.

Months after “quitting” active politics, musician Vishal Dadlani campaigns for Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi

After claiming to stay away from active political work, music composer and Aam Aadmi Party supporter Vishal Dadlani made a re-appearance on Delhi streets Tuesday to campaign for the party with three roadshows scheduled during the day. The Aam Aadmi Party took to Twitter to share this news.

According to the AAP, the only celebrity in the AAP’s star campaigner list will hold roadshows in Madipur, Moti Nagar and Tilak Nagar during the day.

Prior to this, the music composer had also composed the campaign song for Aam Aadmi Party ahead of Delhi assembly elections slated on February 8.

Celebrity supporter of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), music director and singer, Vishal Dadlani, who had recently opined that all the recent cases of rape, murder, encounters and even ‘onions’ are actually the government’s evil plan to distract the citizenry from the ‘Citizenship Amendment Bill’, had offered to quit all political work in 2016 after his tweet on Jain religious leader Tarun Sagar created controversy.

A day after the highly revered religious leader of the Digambar Jain community monk Tarun Sagar addressed the Haryana assembly in August 2016, Dadlani had tweeted his displeasure at the ‘colossal idiocy’ of ‘some naked monk’ addressing the Haryana assembly.

Read- AAP supporter Vishal Dadlani says ‘rapes, encounters and onions’ are evil plan to ‘distract’ from ‘dangerous’ Citizenship Amendment Bill

The singer’s tweet on the Jain monk had backfired as he was ridiculed by several followers of Jain sect. In a damage control move, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Health Minister Satyender Jain had to tweet apologies on behalf of Dadlani.

Congress supporter and Robert Vadra’s relative Tehseen Poonawalla had also made offensive remarks on the Jain monk.

Both were booked by the Haryana Police in August 2016 and a case was registered “for deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings and other offences” under Sections 295-A, 153-A and 509 of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) at Ambala Cantonment police station.

Recently, Vishal Dadlani and Tehseen Poonawalla were fined Rs 10 lakh each for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of the Jain community by their tweets on Jain monk Tarun Sagar.

#ReleaseSharjeelImam trends on Twitter as radicals demand Shaheen Bagh mastermind be released after he was arrested for his seditious speech

Radical Islamists took to Twitter to trend ‘ReleaseSharjeelImam’ after he was arrested by Delhi Police over his seditious speech where he urged Indian Muslims to cut off the northeastern states from India. Sharjeel Imam, the Shaheen Bagh mastermind and columnist with The Wire, was arrested from his ancestral home in Bihar by Delhi Police early in the day.

JNUSU Councillor Afreen Fatima claimed that Imam had ‘surrendered’ to Delhi Police in ‘good faith’.

Same views were echoed by another radical, Sharjeel Usmani, who had earlier defended Imam’s views to cut off Assam and northeastern states from rest of India also endorsed these views.

His views were echoed by Aysha Renna, Jamia Millia Islamia student who was hailed as a ‘shero’ by controversial journalist Barkha Dutt.

Another Barkha Dutt’s ‘shero’ Ladeeda Sakhaloon alias Ladeeda Farzana also demanded Sharjeel Imam be released.

Aligarh Muslim University students have also hosted an event demanding his release and urged students to gather in large numbers to demand his release.

Meanwhile, NewsClick journalist Alim Jafri claimed that Imam was arrested to ‘satisfy the so-called collective conscience of the majority’.

‘Journalist’ Saba Naqvi claimed that Imam was arrested to ‘discredit an entire movement’.

Sharjeel Imam, the mastermind of the Shaheen Bagh protests, has been arrested by the Police from Bihar’s Jehanabad. Sedition charges had been filed against him in multiple states for his remarks urging Muslims to cut off North East India from the rest of the country by blocking the Chicken’s neck. The arrest was made by the Delhi Police Crime Branch after he was absconding for four days.

Neeraj Prajapati’s death: Family alleges administration is trying to cover up the iron rod attack on him by the Muslim mob

0

Neeraj Prajapati was a part of the pro- CAA tricolour march in Lohardaga, Jharkhand on Thursday (Jan 23, 2020) where a Muslim mob had attacked the rally. He succumbed to his injuries yesterday. The local administration and police are allegedly trying to assert that Neeraj’s death was not due to mob violence.

As per Neeraj Prajapati’s family members, Neeraj was hit on the head with an iron rod by the violent mob on 23 January. He was forced to hide in his shop to save his life. On reaching home, he lost consciousness and fainted. The ambulance service was denied to the family despite repeated requests. Neeraj was taken to the Orchid hospital but the doctors raised their hands and instead referred him to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS). He breathed his last after battling with life for 5 days.

The administration cited the RIMS physicians in their press release who were quoted as saying that Neeraj died of cardiac arrest and had no bruises on his body. The press release alleged that the victim’s death has been due to ‘septic shock from brain stem bleed’. It also reiterated that Neeraj did not die due to violence. So, it begs an important question: Are the local people and the victim’s family members lying?

Press Release by RIMS, Ranchi

Neeraj was the breadwinner for his family. He was the source of support for his ailing parents. He ran a sculpting shop with the help of his elder brother. Besides the pension that Neeraj’s father receives from his erstwhile job as a teacher, the shop bore the expenses for the family.

The deceased had carved many idols in advance for the upcoming Saraswati Puja. Neeraj is survived by his wife and two children, a 9-year-old daughter, and a 3-year-old-son. But, a drastic turn of events has wreaked havoc on the poor family.

Neeraj’s neighbour has stated to Opindia that the police were not permitting anyone to meet the family members of the victim. He conceded that Neeraj was the backbone of the family. The victim’s wife is now being pressurised to change her statement.

The police and administration are allegedly constantly pressurizing her to tell that Neeraj died due to a fall in the bathroom.  Neighbours are worried as to how the family would now sell the idols that Neeraj had carved out with his hands.

Read: Here is how a Muslim mob went on a rampage, looting and burning Hindu houses after attacking a pro-CAA rally in Lohardaga, Jharkhand

The curfew that was temporarily lifted was reinstated again in  Lohardaga after the death of Neeraj. The police have made it clear that the last rites of the deceased ought to be performed in Ranchi and refused to allow the body to be taken to his village. Far from providing any relief at a time of mourning, the administration is now complaining about the “deteriorating situation” in the State.

Neeraj’s brother-in-law, Santosh, had reached Ranchi to record his statement where accused the police and the administration of making false claims. He stated that he does not know why the police are intimidating them to change their statement. He confessed that Neeraj’s had suffered head injuries after being hit by a rod during the violence by the Muslim mob on 23 January in Lohardaga.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IID3ZhmJx0I]

The question then arises: Are the cops trying to protect the perpetrators? Here are the initial statements of the relatives given to the police. They had stated that Neeraj was hit with a rod during the violence.

Speaking to OpIndia, the Jharkhand Bajrang Dal has stated that they will protest if the investigation of Neeraj’s death is not done properly. They alleged that the lane where Neeraj’s house stands has been put under drone surveillance by the police. They have asked what is it that the local administration wants to hide.

Will clear Shaheen Bagh within one hour if BJP forms govt in Delhi, all illegal mosques on govt land will be removed: BJP MP Pravesh Verma

Delhi BJP MP Pravesh Verma has triggered a controversy with his bold statement mainly on those who are protesting against Citizenship Amendment Act in Shaheen Bagh. In a rally in Vikaspuri on Monday, The West Delhi MP openly declared that he will remove protesters from Shaheen Bagh in one hour if voted to power on 11 February in Delhi.

“This election is not a small election but that for stability and unity of the country. If a government of the Bharatiya Janata Party is formed on February 11, then after an hour no one will be seen in Shaheen Bagh,” said West Delhi BJP MP Parvesh Verma.

He also asserted that he’ll ensure that mosques built on government land will be demolished in his Lok Sabha constituency.

“Lakhs of people gather there [Shaheen Bagh]. People of Delhi will have to think and make a decision. They will enter your houses, rape your sisters and daughters, kill them, Pravesh Verma said in an interview to ANI. He added, There’s time today, Modi Ji and Amit Shah won’t come to save you tomorrow.”

The BJP MP from West Delhi alleged that the Shaheen Bhag protesters could harm residents of Delhi and people to wake up before it’s too late.

“Arvind Kejriwal says he’s with Shaheen Bagh protesters and so is Manish Sisodia. The people know that a fire engulfed in Kashmir in which there mothers and sisters were raped. This happened in Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, and Hyderabad”, Verma said.

Hundreds of Muslim women are blocking a major road at Shaheen Bagh by holding a sit-in protest against the CAA for more than a month.

‘Mentally unstable’ Kunal Kamra abuses and heckles Arnab Goswami on a flight to Lucknow: Here is what actually happened

In what appears to be a massive security breach, ‘mentally unstable’ ‘comedian’ Kunal Kamra abused and heckled senior journalist Arnab Goswami on a flight from Mumbai to Lucknow. Kunal Kamra then took to Twitter to upload a partial video where he is seen heckling Arnab Goswami, who is trying to ignore Kamra behaving like a lunatic.

He also tweeted that he gave Arnab Goswami a ‘monologue’ about his journalism.

He ended the tweet with ‘F*ck Arnab’ and wrote that Arnab refused to answer him and called him mentally unstable.

In the video uploaded by Kamra he can be heard heckling Arnab and asking him about how he could discuss Rohit Vemula’s caste. He also tells Arnab that he should be answering him since he supports Rahul Gandhi and is a part of the ‘Tukde Tukde Gang’. The video ends with Kunal Kamra calling Arnab Goswami a ‘Nationalist’ as if trying to imply that being one is akin to abuse.

While Kamra is trying to paint this as some sort of crusade in favour of ‘journalism’ and a tribute to his hero Rohit Vemula (a student who tragically committed suicide and a trail of vultures fed off him for mileage), the truth is far from it.

After Kunal Kamra’s video was uploaded, a passenger who was also in the Indigo flight 6E-5317 from Mumbai to Lucknow got in touch with OpIndia. He told us that he wanted to stay anonymous since the conduct of Kunal Kamra had scared him and he didn’t want to meet the same fate of being abused by a mentally unstable man.

Read: Rohith’s suicide note: What the leftists don’t want to read

Speaking to OpIndia, the co-passenger said that Arnab Goswami was sitting on seat 1-B and was on a call. This happened right before the flight started taxying and getting ready for take-off.

While the aircraft was taxying, Kunal Kamra walked up to Arnab Goswami. While the air hostesses told him to take his seat, he started shouting and saying that he will not take his seat before he talks to “this man”, meaning Arnab Goswami. While standing there, Kumal Kamra started abusing and even threatening Arnab Goswami. He used abusive words like ‘b*stard’ and terms that are too explicit to mention. During his tirade, Kunal Kamra also told Arnab Goswami that he had ruined his life and because of him, he had to seek mental help for a month.

Saying that he was a part of the Tukde Tukde Gang, the abuses against Arnab Goswami did not stop till the air hostesses had to escort Kamra back to his seat so the flight, which was already delayed due to Kamra’s theatrics could take off. After take-off, the air hostess asked Arnab if he knew who the man abusing him was, and Arnab is reported to have responded in the negative, saying that he seems to be a ‘mentally disturbed’ individual.

After the flight took off, Kunal Kamra resurfaced only to abuse Arnab Goswami yet again. At this point of time, Arnab was watching a movie on his laptop and summarily ignored the rants by Kunal Kamra. Kunal had continued to abuse Arnab at this point of time, calling him names. Frustrated at not receiving a response from Arnab, he got aggressive and started shoving his hand at him at which point, our source from the flight said that Arnab merely politely told him to remove his hand from his personal space.

Read: Propagandist Kunal Kamra heckles Arnab Goswami on a flight, here is how he can be banned from flying

Seeing Kunal Kamra get increasingly abusive and aggressive, almost trying to hit Arnab Goswami, the flight crew intervened and told him to take his seat. The pilot of the flight even had to make an announcement that inside the aircraft, seats had to be taken and this behaviour was not allowed.

Arnab is said to have deboarded and left the airport immediately while Kunal kept yelling inanities and abuses. The passenger who spoke to OpIndia said, “If this was the USA, Kunal Kamra would be behind bars on charges of terrorism”.

While this only goes to show that Kunal Kamra is a mentally unstable individual, it also raises questions on the security arrangement of Indigo airlines. It is rather astonishing that a mentally unstable person could simply heckle a respected and senior journalist is a security breach that Indigo must answer for. At this point in time, Indigo has not issued any statement.

Interestingly, Kunal Kamra has himself admitted that he pretended to use to Lavatory while heckling and abusing Arnab thereby proving that he was doing this in a concerted manner. The DGCA had in 2017 said that they would be preparing a no-fly list to tackle unruly passengers.

The statement back then said:

“The revised CAR deals with unruly behaviour of passenger onboard aircrafts. Unruly behaviour of passengers at airport premises will be dealt with by relevant security agencies under applicable penal provisions. The revised CAR will be applicable for all Indian operators engaged in scheduled and non-scheduled air transport services, both domestic and international carriage of passengers. The CAR would also be applicable to foreign carriers subject to compliance of Tokyo Convention 1963.

Also speaking on the occasion the Minister of State for Civil Aviation Shri Jayant Sinha said that the new rules have been promulgated after a lot of deliberation and consultation with all stakeholders. The focus has been on ensuring onboard safety while maintaining an element of balance and safeguarding the interest of passengers, cabin crew and the airlines.

The revised CAR defines three categories of unruly behaviour – Level 1 refers to behaviour that is verbally unruly, and calls for debarment up to 3 months; Level 2 indicates physical unruliness and can lead to the passenger being debarred from flying for up to 6 months and Level 3 indicates life-threatening behaviour where the debarment would be for a minimum of 2 years.

The complaint of unruly behaviour would need to be filed by the pilot-in-command. These complaints will be probed by an internal committee to be set up by the airline. The internal committee will have retired District & Sessions Judge as Chairman and representatives from a different scheduled airline, passengers’ association/consumer association/retired officer of Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum as Members. As per the CAR provisions, the internal committee will have to decide the matter within 30 days, and also specify the duration of ban on the unruly passenger. During the period of pendency of the enquiry, the concerned airline may impose a ban on the said passenger. For every subsequent offence, the ban will be twice the period of the previous ban”.

It remains to be seen that as per the 2017 CAR rules, the pilot of the Indigo flight will file a complaint about Kunal Kamra disrupting the flight. In September 2017, the government of India through the Ministry of Civil Aviation unveiled rules to tackle on-board disruptive and unruly behaviour by passengers which could put them on No Fly List. As per the rule, if the pilot-in-command of the said Indigo flight files a complaint, he could fall under level 1 of unruly behaviour which could bar him for 3 months. Moreover, as per DGCA orders, airlines are required to report unruly behaviour by passengers within 12 hours.

Further, per the video that Kamra himself uploaded, Arnab seems to have displayed remarkable calm at the face of Kamra behaving like a lunatic and abusing him. It is, in fact, telling, that Kamra only videotaped a small part of his “monologue” against Arnab and was careful to not mouth off the abuses he was otherwise hurling at Arnab.

Billion dollars vs billion people: Why we should be scared of Soros and the global left

April 1992. The UK General Election is about to happen. The left wing Labour Party, buoyed by favorable opinion polls, is hoping to unseat the ruling Conservatives. The Labour Party is on a high, right until the moment they begin counting the votes. In a stunning outcome, it is actually the Conservatives who coast to a majority, winning 336 of the 651 Parliamentary seats. Labour is far behind, with just 271.

Fine. Time to shrug off and accept the verdict. The people have spoken. In a democracy, the people are supreme.

Or are they?

Across the Atlantic, a group of wealthy investors in New York were getting ready, amassing billions of dollars. They were going to bet big money that the British Pound would sink, a so called ‘short position.’ Then, in one fell swoop, on the morning of Sept 16, 1992, they increased their short position to $10 billion and started selling pounds in a sudden flood.

The Bank of England tried to fight back, raising interest rates from 10% to 12% within hours. Remember that the RBI and the market spend months discussing even a 0.25% rate change. And we’re talking about a 2% increase here decided between 9 AM in the morning and noon. Imagine the panic.

But the Bank of England was overwhelmed, left helpless. The British Pound collapsed. In a month or so, the wealthy investors made over a billion dollars in profit.

The leader of that pack of investors? This man.

George Soros

The name? George Soros.

He has billions of dollars. Do you know how much 1 billion dollars is? One billion is one thousand million. That’s 1 followed by nine zeros.

What’s the biggest sum of money you have ever seen?

Do you have what it takes to defend our democracy? Our sovereignty?

The UK was left economically devastated after the September 1992. Elections happened in 1997. The Conservatives lost miserably and couldn’t win power until 2010.

This man is now coming for us.

George Soros wants to fight nationalism in India

Think about what India’s left wing elite could do with a billion dollars. Every public intellectual, every think tank, every newspaper editorial could be influenced. Think of the people that NGOs would hand all this money to. Think of the level of outrage that could be sponsored by a billion dollars.

What is our response? How are we going to defend ourselves?

True, the loopholes that Soros used to sink the British economy in 1992 have mostly been closed today. A French court in 2002 convicted Soros of insider trading in a case related to the French Bank Societe Generale.

But this is not about one man. This is about the entire global left that has drawn a bullseye around India and Modi. The UK didn’t realize the loophole until they were sunk in 1992. Somebody could find something else that is still out there; somebody who wants to take down India.

The UK was an economic superpower in 1992. If it could happen to them, it could happen to us. Imagine if the Indian Rupee was destroyed. Our markets would tank, our economy would sink, import bills would soar, the price of everything would go up immediately. There would be starvation and food riots in the streets.

Do you think the global left would not do this to us if they got a chance?

Something very significant for India happened in 2019, that economic doomsayers won’t talk about. India ended the year as officially the fifth largest economy in the world, a comfortable $200 – $250 billion ahead of the France and the UK. Our road was rocky, but we’ve made it to the top 5 at last. The GDP of European countries  and Japan haven’t moved an inch since 2011. That’s a whole decade. Brazil and Russia have both fallen backwards, dropped out of contention. But India has made its way where nobody else has, except for China of course. Clearly, we did something right when nobody else could.

But with great power come great risks. As soon as we entered the league of the top 5, our politics became internationalized. Our politics isn’t just about India any more. Global forces are out to get us because we matter so damn much! The age of innocence had to end one day and it has.

The global left has announced its intentions very clearly. They have declared war on the people of India.

We can stop them. I don’t have a billion dollars. But I have something better. I have a billion Indians who will share my fate if this country goes down. And we have the civilizational memory of being invaded, subjugated and colonized by foreign powers.

Over there in the West, they say nationalism is a dirty word. Because their nationalism has always been about subjugating others.

My nationalism is about liberty. A one thousand year struggle for freedom.

The colonizer is back and he wants to get inside our heads. At the very moment when India is set to breathe free, the colonizer is back. Shall we let them take over again?
