Anti-CAA protests: After the PFI links were revealed, SIT says more than 15 Bangladeshis were involved in Delhi riots

0

The Special Investigation Team of the Delhi Crime Branch has made a shocking revelation about the involvement of more than 15 Bangladeshis in the Delhi riots that ensued following the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

According to the reports, these Bangladeshis were illegally living in Seemapuri area of Delhi. The police claim that following the Friday prayers on December 20, these illegal immigrants from Bangladesh joined the anti-CAA mob protests in Seemapuri. The police will soon raid and arrest those who have been identified by the SIT.

The SIT of the Crime Branch, which is investigating the case since Monday, will go to Tihar Jail and interrogate about 55 accused arrested in the Delhi riots case.

In addition to this, the Delhi Police have also claimed that 15 members of the Islamic fundamentalist- Popular Front of India (PFI), who allegedly participated in the Delhi riots during the anti-CAA protests will be soon questioned in the matter. The call details of the PFI members are being investigated to ascertain their whereabouts at the time of the Delhi riots.

The situation in Old Delhi and Seemapuri areas had turned uncontrollable on December 20 after groups of frenzied mobs took to the streets resorting to large scale arson and rioting against the CAA. Stone-pelting and incidents of violence were reported from Daryaganj in Old Delhi and Seemapuri in the northeast part of the national capital on December 20 (Friday).

A clash between police and protesters had ensued in Daryaganj, prompting police to use water cannon on the agitators, some of whom had turned violent and set ablaze a car.

The involvement of Bangladeshis in the violent riots that engulfed the National capital of the country on December 20, 2019, proves the Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s contention that there are many illegal immigrants from neighbouring countries who are currently staying in India.

The Citizenship Amendment Act passed by the upper and the lower house of the parliament intends to grant citizenship to the persecuted minorities- Hindus, Jains, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis and Buddhists from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

‘Tiger has turned into a cat’: Fadnavis on Sena’s silence over Congress insulting Savarkar, Savarkar’s grandson seeks case against Seva Dal

Grandson of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on Friday tore into the Congress party for making unwarranted accusations on the freedom fighter Veer Savarkar. Ranjit Savarkar has sought a ban on the booklet released by All India Congress Seva Dal training camp run by the Congress in Bhopal, which claimed that co-founder of Hindu Mahasabha Veer Savarkar had a physical relationship with Nathuram Godse, Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin.

Seeking appropriate action against the Congress Seva Dal by the state government, Ranjit Savarkar urged that a criminal case be registered against them. “A case should be registered under section 120, 500, 503, 504, 505, 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Madhya Pradesh Government should ban the book,” he said.

Ranjit has sought action from the Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in this matter.

Though Shiv Sena has always claimed that it’s Hindutva ideology is closely linked to the ideology propounded by Savarkar, but in the recent past, it has maintained a stoic silence over its new alliance partner in Maharashtra Congress’ constant attempt to demean the father of Hindutva.

Slamming the Shiv Sena’s silence over the anti-Savarkar booklet distributed at the Congress camp in Bhopal, BJP leader and former CM Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said that the ‘Tiger has turned into a cat’.

“The tiger of the Sena which used to give orders from Matoshree has turned into a cat. It does not roar and only does Meow Meow. Now the Matoshree of Delhi gives orders and the Tiger-turned-cats are following, such is the condition. That Swatantryaveer Savarakar who taught what revolution was insulted by Rahul Gandhi and the Sena kept quiet.”

He added, “Yesterday a booklet was being distributed by the Congress in which derogatory things were written about Savarkar. Congress claimed that he was homosexual and power-hungry Shiv Sena turned a blind eye to it. We who threw away power will show you -Congress your real place after you insulted the Savarkar -God of Maharashtra.”

Congress frontal organisation Seva Dal yesterday released a booklet titled ‘Veer Savarkar Kitne Veer?’ (How brave was Veer Savarkar) in which, apart from accusing Savarkar of having ‘physical relationship’ with Godse, they went on to mock the freedom fighter.

Congress Seva Dal chief Lalji Desai said that the writer has written the booklet on the basis of evidence. The booklet gave a reference citing page 423 the ‘Freedom at Midnight’ book written by Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre which states that Godse had a homosexual relationship with his “political guru” Savarkar before the former turned celibate.

However, failing to submit proof to substantiate their claims, they had omitted this content from the second edition of their book.

Congress has on several occasions attempted to malign Veer Savarkar’s contributions to India’s freedom by branding him as a “loyal colonialist”. Recently, Ranjit Savarkar had lambasted at the Congress’ Wayanad MP, Rahul Gandhi over his Savarkar jibe during the ‘Bharat Bachao’ rally in Delhi.

While addressing the Bharat Bachao rally last month, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had attacked the BJP for demanding an apology for his “rape in India” remark and said, “My name is Rahul Gandhi, not Rahul Savarkar. I will never apologise for speaking truth.”

Furious at Rahul Gandhi over his outrageous remark, Ranjit Savarkar had said that he should be beaten in public by the Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray for his offensive comment.

Then too, Uddhav Thackeray had remained silent and dismissed the possibility of any rift within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government over the remarks by former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Veer Savarkar.

Meerut Police arrest one youth for chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ during anti-CAA protests, others identified

The Additional Director General (ADG) of Police in Meerut, Prashant Kumar, today confirmed that one person has been arrested for raising ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans in Mawana, Meerut, during the anti-CAA riots on December 20. The ADG also confirmed that Meerut Police is in the lookout for more such youths who had indulged in such anti-national activities.

The arrested person, Abu Zar, has admitted on camera that 5-6 boys had raised the pro-Pakistan slogans when police officials had braved to stop the communal riots perpetrated by Muslim rioters during the anti-CAA protests on December 20.

Earlier on Thursday, Meerut police had identified the three individuals who opened fire using unlicensed weapons during the Meerut violence over the Citizenship Amendment Act. As per sources, their names are Naeem, Faisal and Anis. Suspected to have links with the Popular Front of India, these individuals are under the scanner of the Uttar Pradesh police.

With this, ADG Prashant Kumar has today busted the false propaganda peddled by the “liberal-secular” media against a senior officer of the Uttar Pradesh police, over the video that supposedly showed a Meerut police officer telling a group of anti-CAA rioters to “go to Pakistan”,

A video of Uttar Pradesh police warning Muslim rioters in Meerut have surfaced across social media platforms on December 28 in which a senior officer was seen warning people of the locality after four Muslim youth had shouted pro-Pakistan slogans during the anti-CAA riots.

Read- Anti-CAA riots: UP police books 12 rioters under Goonda act for violence in AMU, name of students’ union president included in FIR

The Congress media ecosystem carefully edited a specific video to portray that a senior police officer in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district was asking residents of a Muslim-dominated locality to “go to Pakistan” during a “protest” against the amended Citizenship Act on December 20.

However, in reality, the SP was not telling the Muslim men to go to Pakistan. Instead, he was warning four individuals who had shouted pro-Pakistan slogans during the anti-CAA riots. The SP was informing the locals to warn those four individuals that they should go to Pakistan if these ‘four youth’ loved the Islamic country so much.

Within no time, the “liberal-secular” media had latched on to this fake news and reported that Meerut police had asked the Muslims to “Go to Pakistan”.

Following the controversy, Meerut SP Akhilesh Narayan Singh had told, told the media that some boys raised Pakistan zindabad slogans and started running. He added that he told them that if they wanted to raise Pakistan zindabad slogans and hate India so much then they must go to Pakistan. Akhilesh N Singh had said they police were trying to identify the youths.

Several towns and cities in Uttar Pradesh especially Meerut witnessed widespread violent protests over the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act. The anti-CAA rioters, who ran amok, under the pretext of peaceful protests, blatantly indulged in arson, vandalism and stone-pelting in opposition to the bill that aims to naturalise persecuted minorities from the three neighbouring countries.

On December 20 in Meerut, soon after the Friday prayers, a crowd of people wearing black bands came out from the Jama Masjid at around 2 pm to protest against the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Bill. When police tried to stop them, they started chanting slogans against the police after which the police lathi-charged them. After that, 15-20 miscreants reached the Lisadi gate intersection and started creating ruckus there. As the crowd kept swelling, the protestors started throwing stones at the police forces.

Four rioters-Asif (20), Mohsin (25), Zaheer (25) and Asif (25) were killed in police retaliation. 50 policemen were also injured in stone-pelting and other violent incidents, 3 of them were shot bullets at by the ‘protestors’ protesting against the CAA.

Latest media reports about anti-CAA violence in Patna make no mention of Hanuman Temple that was vandalised

Several media organisations today quoted the Indian Express report to allege that “two men affiliated to fringe Hindu outfits- Hindu Putra Sangathan and Hindu Samaj Sangathan” were responsible for the unfortunate death of one teenager, Amir Hanzla, during the anti-CAA protest organised by the RJD party on December 21, 2019, in Patna.

According to the reports, 6 men were arrested in Hanzla murder case. Nagesh Samrat (23) and Vikas Kumar (21) have been charged with the murder of Hanzla, who worked at a stitching unit in the Phulwari Sharif Area. The others arrested in the murder case are Deepak Mahto, Chhotu Mahto, Sanoj Mahto alias Dhelwa, and Rais Paswan, who have been described by police as “known criminals”.

The reports quoted police sources claiming that the victim Hanzla was brutally tortured before being killed using bricks and other blunt objects by the alleged perpetrators. The reports, published in Indian Express, Huffington Post, The Wire and News 18 insinuated that the Hindu organisations in Bihar are running amok and that Hanzla’s murder was an overt manifestation of their Hindu extremism. In addition, a concerted attempt was made by these publications to assert that the accused were bloodthirsty Hindu extremists who acted without any provocation against the “innocent” Tricolour flag wielding anti-CAA protestors.

The violence and Hanuman temple desecration that the media never mentioned

Interestingly, these media outlets, while reporting what the police said, hardly elaborate on the violence that had taken place during these “peaceful protests”.

These reports find no mention of murderous attacks by the mob during the Bandh called upon by the RJD party on Saturday, December 21, 2019. During the bandh, the rioters destroyed a Hanuman temple in Patna’s Phulwari Sharif area.

During the bandh, many RJD workers, armed with sticks and flags with RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s face on it, vandalised autorickshaws. As per reports, anti-CAA rally was passing through the Tamtam Padao in Phulwari Sharif area and was on its way to Sangatpar. However, Sangatpar residents were not permitting them to enter. Police had also not given them permission to move ahead. The matter escalated and they resorted to violence.

Rafiqur Rahman, in-charge, Phulwari Sharif police station, told The Indian Express: “Our investigation shows that Amir Hanzla tried to leave the spot after police used force to disperse a violent mob. Amir was then held by some boys in the Sangat Gali area”.

However, the media houses chose to sweep this inconvenient reality under the rug as they conspicuously refrained from mentioning about the Hanuman temple vandalised in Phulwari Sharif by the rampaging mob during the anti-CAA protests carried out by the RJD party on December 21, 2019. The unfortunate murder of Amir Hanzla was treated as an isolated incident, having no connection with the vandalism of the Hanuman temple which may have stoked communal tempers in the region and triggered the escalation.

How the media described the radical outfit Tablighi Jamaat, to which Hanzla’s father belongs to

Furthermore, the reports also include bytes from slain Hanzla’s father to evoke sympathy among the readers. His father claimed that Hanzla was simply a part of the protest against the CAA and was carrying India’s flag in the protest march.

The reports described Tablighi Jamaat, the organisation Hanzla’s father-Sohail Ahmed was associated with as a “socio-cultural organisation”, perhaps to hide the radical nature of the group. Tablighi Jamaat is ostensibly a radical outfit with the avowed goal of spreading Islam across the world. However, the news organisations conveniently masked the reality of the organisation by representing it as a “socio-cultural organisation”.

A brief about Tablighi Jamaat

Tablighi Jamaat (a group of preachers), was started in 1926 in Mewat province by Islamic scholar Maulana Muhammad Ilyas. It was a several headed hydra which has its tentacles in several countries across the world. The secretive group is said to have anywhere between 12 million and 150 million adherents across the world and is an offshoot of the Deobandi movement.

The Middle East Forum writes:

“From its inception, the extremist attitudes that characterize Deobandism permeated Tablighi philosophy. Ilyas’s followers were intolerant of other Muslims and especially Shi’ites, let alone adherents of other faiths. Indeed, part of Ilyas’s impetus for founding Tablighi Jamaat was to counter the inroads being made by Hindu missionaries. They rejected modernity as antithetical to Islam, excluded women, and preached that Islam must subsume all other religions. The creed grew in importance after Pakistani military dictator Zia ul-Haq encouraged Deobandis to Islamize Pakistan”.

In France, as many as “80% per cent of the Islamist extremists have come from Tablighi ranks, prompting French intelligence officers to call Tablighi Jamaat the ‘antechamber of fundamentalism

Zacarias Moussaoui, the only person to be charged for the 9/11 bombings belonged to Tablighi Jamaat. In fact, Djamel Beghal, an Algerian-born Frenchman and admitted member of Al Qaeda who was convicted in 2005 of plotting to blow up the U.S. Embassy in Paris was also a member of this organisation.

Other terrorist plots and attacks on civilians that members of Tablighi Jamaat have been connected with include the Portland Seven, the Lackawanna Six, the 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot, the 7/7 London bombings, the 2007 London car bombs, and 2007 Glasgow International Airport attack and several others.

In fact, it is speculated that the Jamaat has considerable influence on the Pakistan government. It is also speculated that Pakistani cricket coach Bob Woolmer’s criticism of the growing influence of the Tablighi Jamaat of Pakistan on many players of the Pakistani cricket team could have contributed to his brutal murder.

It is this organisation, of which there are several other connections to extremism and terrorism that Indian media chose to brand as a “socio-cultural organisation”.

Conclusion

The murder of Amir Hanzla should be condemned in the strongest terms and his murderers should be subjected to the law of the land. But by deliberating withholding the entire details of the incident and the contextual background that may have led to his murder, the media organisations, with their ulterior aim of promoting their propaganda, are doing a great disservice to their readers. A dispassionate and entire account of such incidents should be presented before the readers. By deviously putting forth selective aspects of an incident, the media organisations are relegating themselves from “fourth pillar of the democracy” to a mere propaganda machine.

Nearly 19,000 children sexually abused in England in the past year, child grooming remains largest form of abuse: Reports

According to the official figures, it is being estimated that nearly 19,000 minors in England were sexually groomed in England in the last year, reports Dailymail.

Reportedly, the local authorities in England have identified around 18,700 suspected victims in 2018-19, up from 3,300 five years ago. The latest figures showed a sharp increase in the number of child grooming victims over the last five years.

The highest rates of child grooming victims in Britain was reported in areas including Birmingham, Lancashire and Bradford. A spokesman for the Home Office said the department ‘is committed to tackling child sexual abuse and will leave no stone unturned in tackling this abhorrent behaviour’.

Speaking to the media, Sarah Champion, the Labour MP for Rotherham, which has been targeted by child grooming gangs, said that figures show this type of exploitation ‘remains one of the largest forms of child abuse in the country’.

She added, “Too many times, Government has said it will ‘learn lessons’, yet 19,000 children are still at risk of sexual exploitation.”

The figures released by the Department for Education showed that Lancashire recorded more than 600 children who were victims of grooming. It was followed by Birmingham, Surrey, Bradford and Gloucestershire.

Reportedly, earlier this month four men from Telford in the West Midlands were jailed for abusing a young girl who was sold for sex and raped. The offences took place between 2001 and 2002 and started when the girl who was then just 13 years old. The victim had told in the court that she was assaulted by other unidentified males, which continued till she reached her mid-teens.

Further, the Home Office spokesman added that the department launched an independent inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse ‘to get to the truth, expose what has gone wrong and learn lessons for the future’. The spokesperson added that the inquiry will be independent of government and within its terms of reference, decides for itself what it investigates.

“We have heard Rahul Gandhi is homosexual, Sonia Gandhi should test his virginity”: Hindu Mahasabha on Congress’s gay jibe on Savarkar

On Friday, Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Mahasabha’s chief Swami Chakrapani launched an attack against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi by claiming that he had heard rumours that Rahul Gandhi was homosexual and said that Gandhi-scion has a homosexual relationship with senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Swami Chakrapani also advised Sonia Gandhi to test Rahul Gandhi’s virginity and his homosexual behaviour. “Sonia Gandhi should test Rahul’s virginity and on his homosexuality,” said Swami Chakrapani.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UGFHGQwkZA]

Swami Chakrapani’s statements come in response to a recent controversy involving Congress party in which party’s Seva Dal had published a booklet which claimed that Veer Savarkar had a physical relationship with Nathuram Godse.

“Savarkar has worked hard nation’s independence. He was also the national president of Hindu Mahasabha and we share deep respect towards Savarkarji. Congress should not associate Savarkar with Godse and there is no truth in these absurd claims,” said Swami Chakrapani.

He also said that Rahul Gandhi keeps making objectionable comments against Savarkar, which is not acceptable.

Congress Party had touched a new despicable low by spreading lies about freedom fighter Veer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. A booklet titled ‘How brave was Veer Savarkar’ released by All India Congress Seva Dal training camp run by the Congress in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, had claimed that co-founder of Hindu Mahasabha Veer Savarkar had a physical relationship with Nathuram Godse, Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin.

Congress frontal organisation Seva Dal chief Lalji Desai defended the writer of the Congress’ booklet saying that he has written it on the basis of evidence. Mocking Savarkar, Desai furthered, “But that’s not imp for us. In our country today, everyone has the legal right to have their own preferences”.

The booklet mentions and talks about several incidents, questions and controversies surrounding Savarkar. Referring to an incident mentioned in Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins’s ‘Freedom at Midnight’, the Congress booklet said, “Before adopting brahmacharya, there is only one mention of Nathuram Godse’s physical relationship. His [Godse] partner in his homosexual relationship was Veer Savarkar.”

Congress has on several occasions attempted to malign Veer Savarkar’s contributions to India’s freedom by branding him as a “loyal colonialist”. While addressing the Bharat Bachao rally last month, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had attacked the BJP for demanding an apology for his “rape in India” remark and said, “My name is Rahul Gandhi, not Rahul Savarkar. I will never apologise for speaking truth.”

Congress leader had grabbed 9000 bighas of land by forming fake cooperatives: UP govt Committee formed after Sonbhadra Massacre

The Renuka Kumar committee, which was set up by the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh to probe the reasons behind the Sonbhadra massacre in July last year, has found that a Congress leader had seized about 9000 bighas of land in Sonbhadra and Mirzapur by creating fake cooperative societies.

The report, which has been submitted to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, also stated that several other Congress leaders and retired bureaucrats had also illegally occupied land worth Rs 700 crore in the region. The report prepared by the committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary Renuka Kumar added that a total of 10,569 bighas or 6602 acres of land have been illegally occupied in Sonbhadra and Mirzapur.

Yesterday an Uttar Pradesh police investigation had found 5 policemen guilty of laxity, and they ordered to deposit 30 days’ salary as fine. According to police, when village head had forcibly occupied land, police inspector Shiv Kumar Mishra and his predecessor Mool Chand Chauhan did not listen to complaints by Gond tribals. Three constables, Kanhaiya Lal, Sudhakar Yadav and Pramod Kumar Singh, were accused of not following rules and following only their senior officers. The policemen had also ignored apprehension expressed by villagers that some untoward incident may happen due to the dispute over the land.

It may be recalled that on July 17 last year, a land dispute in Ubbha village in Ghorawal area in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh had led to the brutal massacre, in which 10 people were shot dead and many more were injured when henchmen of a village head opened fire on local tribal people who were protesting against the occupation of what they claimed to be their land.

Read- Sonbhadra massacre: A half a century old land dispute that led to the brutal killing of 10 people

According to reports, around 300 people in 32 tractor-trailers were brought to occupy land belonging to tribal people. When they opposed the move, the occupiers started firing them. According to survivors, the firing went for half an hour. They also beat people will sticks who fell down to the ground after being shot.

The locals didn’t know that the attackers were armed, and when the firing started, they started running and called the police, who arrived after an hour. 10 people were killed in the attack, and 23 were injured. Police had arrested 29 people in the case, including the main accused gram pradhan. Police had also recovered guns and rifles from the accused persons.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath had then blamed the Congress party for the Sonbhadra massacre. He said, “If you go to the bottom of the issue, you will know that in 1955 when there was a Congress government (in Uttar Pradesh), an Adarsh Society was created with the intention to grab the land of the people.”

He had said the land was transferred to the Adarsh Society in 1955, when “the illegal work was done”. The Adarsh Society held the land till 1989, Adityanath had said.

The chief minister had added, “In 1989 when again there was a Congress government in Uttar Pradesh, the land ownership was changed from Adarsh Society to an individual. That individual sold this land to the gram pradhan of Ubha in 2017.” Adityanath said the land was sold to Yagya Dutt, the accused gram pradhan after the previous owner failed to take possession of the land in 2017.

Soon after the episode, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had jumped at the opportunity to gain political mileage from the incident. Two days after the incident the Congress leader had attempted to visit Sonbhadra massacre site despite section 144. Attempting to come across as a well-wisher of the victims, Priyanka had then visited the families of those who were killed in the Sonbhadra massacre at the Umbha village and demanded that the Yogi Adityanath government should withdraw cases against the detained.

Trying her best to use the incident to resurrect her career the Gandhi scion had taken to Twitter then to ask whether it was a crime to stand by the victims.

Priyanka Gandhi had Tweeted after the incident

While Priyanka Gandhi appeared to be overeager to play politics over the heinous crime, her brother Rahul Gandhi too had blatantly lied bout the whole matter and claimed that Priyanka was arrested when, in fact, she was only taken to a guest house.

However, after the electrifying drama, Priyanka Vadra had played over the incident, pinning the blame from the massacre on the Yogi Adityanath government, now that the Renuka Kumar committee report clearly states that the genesis of the problem lied in the Congress rule, may come as a major embarrassment for the grand old party.

Congress MP threatens Governor Arif Mohammad Khan after he denounced anti-CAA resolution passed in Kerala: Read what he said

Congress MP from Kerala, K Muraleedharan threatened the governor of the state, Arif Mohammad Khan, saying he won’t be able to walk on the streets if doesn’t resign from his constitutional post. He also said that if the Governor doesn’t know how to maintain the dignity of his office, he can “teach” him how to do it.

The threat issued by the Vatakara MP came after the Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan denounced the resolution passed by the Kerala State Assembly against the Citizenship Amendment Act, claiming it has “no legal or constitutional validity”. He said that the Citizenship Amendment Act is the remit of the Central Government and thus the Kerala State Assembly’s legislation holds no meaning.

However, this did not sit well with the Congress MP, who while speaking at the “Save the Nation” rally against the CAA and NRC issued a warning to the Kerala Governor to resign or he won’t be able to walk on the streets.

“This is the second freedom fight. CAA is against the people. It became law only with a mere majority in parliament. A large number of people have approached the Supreme Court questioning its validity. Actually, this law is against democracy. So, the Kerala assembly brought a unanimous resolution on it. The sole member of the BJP in the 140 members assembly also did not raise his voice against the resolution. It means, even this BJP member is against the CAA,” Muraleedharan said.

Muraleedharan further added, “The Governor says this resolution of assembly is meaningless and was brought through Congress’ influence. Kerala Chief Minister has the responsibility to warn the governor as it was done in West Bengal. If the governor does not resign, he cannot walk through the streets.”

Besides Muraleedharan, the former Kerala Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, who inaugurated the rally, also condemned the remarks made by the Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan regarding the resolution passed by the Kerala State Assembly.

A few days back, at the 80th session of Indian History Congress, the Marxist Historian Irfan Habib had shamefully tried to heckle the Kerala governor, Arif Mohammad Khan and disrupt his speech. The left-leaning historian had tried to physically disrupt the speech of the governor, even as people in the audience shouted slogans against the governor.

After Rajasthan minister walked off TV debate, CM Gehlot wants people to focus on ‘real issues’ like NRC and not children deaths in Kota

Though the infant death toll at government-run JK Lon hospital in Kota continues to rise to reach an alarming number of 104, Congress government in the state seems to be completely unaffected by the tragedy.

Days after trivialising the incident by saying that “children die, there is nothing new in it”, the Rajasthan CM today said that “Some people are trying to divert attention from ‘other major issues’ such as CAA and NRC’.

In a media brief, Ashok Gehlot attempts to shrug off his responsibilities by saying that some people are trying to divert the attention from the Citizenship Amendment Act and NRC by talking about the infant deaths in Kota. According to the CM the “real issue” is CAA and NRC and not hundreds of children dying in the Congress-ruled state.

Ashok Gehlot denied any negligence on part of the hospital. He also sought to play down the death toll, saying, “1000 children have died under BJP’s rule, while 100 have died under Congress rule. There should be no politics in it. The media is creating an issue out of it.”

The apathetic response by CM Ashok Gehlot comes only a day after the Rajasthan health minister Raghu Sharma was seen dodging questions asked to him on the incident in a debate. While the news anchor is seen repeatedly coaxing the minister to answer the government’s apathy towards the family of the children, the minister was heard saying: “mein kuch nahi keh sakta” (I cannot comment in this regard), before taking out the microphone and walking away.

It is pertinent to note here that several Congress functionaries have even been arrested and charged for the violence that has been unleashed by Muslim mobs across the country.

The apathetic attitude of the Congress government in the state has not gone down well with many Opposition parties who have demanded Gehlot’s resignation.

BSP supremo Mayawati, on Friday, said that the chief minister should be sacked. The former UP chief minister charged that Gehlot was making political statements that were irresponsible and unsympathetic. “This is highly shameful,” Mayawati said in a tweet.

She demanded that Gehlot is dismissed and replaced by a new dispensation otherwise more women will lose their children.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the BSP chief had on Thursday targeted the Congress over infant deaths, suggesting that party leader Priyanka Gandhi should have gone there to console the children’s mothers instead of “playing politics” in UP.

It is indeed tragic that while over a 100 kids have died in Kota, the Chief Minister thinks that the more pertinent issue that the media should be focussing on the fictitious issue of CAA and NRC that is purely a product of the Congress’ imagination. Several Congress leaders have been charged for instigating violence during anti-CAA riots.

While investigating the incidents of statewide violence which occurred on December 21, the Patna Police recently got their hands on Congress leader Ashutosh Sharma who has been accused of attacking media people during the Bihar bandh and has been on the run since then. Congress leader Ashutosh Sharma was caught on camera assaulting journalists at the Dak Bungalow Chowk in Patna. The Congress leader was reportedly on the run after the case was registered against him.

The crime branch of Ahmedabad police had nabbed a Congress leader for posting a fake and misleading video on social media which incited a Muslim mob during a protest march at Shah-e-Alam, Gujarat, where several police officials were brutally attacked by Muslim mobs.

Congress party’s minority cell member Umar Khan Pathan had shared a video on social media in which a police action against rioters from Lucknow was passed on as an incident in Ahmedabad stoking violence in the Shah-e-Alam. The fake news had unleashed a violent Muslim mob, who attacked and injured more than 25 policemen on duty.

The Ahmedabad Police had arrested Congress Corporator Shehzad Khan Pathan along with 32 others for carrying out the deadly attack during anti-CAA riots on police personnel. They have been booked for attempt to murder, rioting and assaulting police.

Additionally, Six people including four local politicians and the former Congress MLA were named as suspects in the Delhi Police FIR related to Jamia violence. The Delhi Police had named former Congress MLA Asif Khan as one of the accused in its FIR.

Essentially, CM Ashok Gehlot wants the media to focus on a problem created by Congress itself and not ask his government any questions on the deaths of children in his state. While the CAA aims to give citizenship to persecuted minorities from neighbouring Islamic nations, the NRC aims to ensure that illegal immigrants in India from neighbouring countries are not allowed to settle here. Interestingly, while CAA has been passed by the Parliament, NRC is only limited to Assam till now. The Congress has instigated Muslim mobs in the country to go on a rampage by spreading falsehoods and lies and now, it seems to be using the violence to obfuscate from its governance failings.

Mob goes on a rampage in Bengal’s Duttapukur following ‘unnatural death’ of one Asadul Islam accused of assaulting women: Read details

Prohibitory orders were imposed in three panchayat areas of North 24 Paragans district in West Bengal following widespread rioting and vandalism by Muslim mobs in Duttapukur on the New Year’s Eve. The riots occurred after the ‘unnatural death’ of a Muslims shopkeeper who was beaten by some people accusing him of molesting a woman on 31st December.

According to reports, Pragati Sangha, a local club, had organised a fair in Duttapukur from 25th to 31st December like every year, and Asadul Islam had put up a stall in the fair.
